    I am running a java application using this wrapper service yajsw. The problem it just stopped without any error in its logs file. So I was wondering will there be any system log file which will indicate the cause of it going down? Partial of the log file.   • Moving from ColdFusion 8 to ColdFusion 10 - Migration Fails

    After having made several attempts to migrate from a ColdFusion 8 Standard server to a ColdFusion 10 Standard server, it feels like I am "almost" there. I'm using the 64 bit installer from Adobe's website. I'm using a Windows Server 2008 (64 bit) server with IIS 7.0. The installation itself goes smooth and the services start and are running. But at the end of the installation it says "ColdFusion Installed, but with errors" and it generates a log file. The log file reads: Migration Error: : Check that "C:\ColdFusion8" is a valid directory and is an installation of either ColdFusion MX 6 or ColdFusionMX 7 and further down says: Status: WARNING Additional Notes: WARNING - Could not migrate settings from previous version of ColdFusion Custom Action: com.macromedia.ia.action.MigrateColdFusionAction Status: ERROR Additional Notes: ERROR - class com.macromedia.ia.action.MigrateColdFusionAction NonfatalInstallException null The applicationHost.config file has new XML referencing the ColdFusion 10 directory, but IIS is still using ColdFusion 8. I'm also going to guess that the settings in the CF Administrator have not been migrated based on the message in the log above. I've followed the instructions on Adobe's site, including ensuring that ASP.NET, CGI, ISAPI Extensions, and ISAPI Filters are all enabled. I've also enabled IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility even though I don't think it's needed. Has anyone else had similar issues with ColdFusion 10 and IIS 7.   • Can't access SQL Server 2008 from workstations, but can from server

    We have an app that can use mssql2k or 2k8. We've been using 2k but I decided to try 2k8 to compare. I installed in on our win2k3 server alongside mssql2k. In the ODBC applet on the server, I was able to set up access to 2k8, and it passes the test at the end successfully, whether I tell it to use Windows Authentication or an sql login. The latter is how the app always accessed mssql2k. The app works fine from the server, but when I try it on a workstation (winxpsp3), I get a window titled, "Microsoft SQL Server Login" that says: Connection failed: SQLState: '01000' SQL Server Error: 53 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen (Connect()). Connection failed: SQLState: '08001' SQL Server ERror: 17 [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. Then I get the ODBC login dialog, which I can't get to login correctly (I just keep getting the same error above), even copying and pasting a password after resetting it on the server, and whether "trusted" is checked or not. "Options" is disabled. The server was straight SERVERNAME for mssql2k, but for mssql2k8 it's called SERVERNAME\mssql2008. That works on the server, why not on the workstation? (Which I'm logged in as the same person on, BTW.)

    I've got an Apache 2.0.52 server on CentOS 4 that front-ends a couple of App servers (mix of Jetty and Tomcat). Additionally, we're running memcache on same front-end and during the times when I'm getting those messages in Apache's log, the following command doesn't work: echo stats | nc 127.0.0.1 11211 No messages are printed, but neither are the stats printed. I am completely lost as to how to proceed with troubleshooting this. =(

  • pfSense: How to route traffic out the WAN port?

    Expert version i want to create a route in pfSense that will send traffic out the physical WAN port, not the PPPoE WAN port. i want to talk to talk to the web-server on my DSL modem, but it doesn't see packets wrapped in a PPPoE header. Long version My pfSense router is responsible for setting up the PPPoE connection over DSL to my ISP. When a machine on the LAN wants to sent packets to the internet, the default route sends packets out over the PPPoE connection. Those packets, wrapped in a PPPoE header, are sent on the ethernet cable to my DSL modem. From there they are sent the ISP, and the internet at large. i want a way to send a packet out the WAN port itself - not the PPPoE WAN port. My modem is sitting out there, with a http interface where i can monitor connection speed signal-to-noise ratio bandwidth connection time Whenever i try to set a route for destination of 192.168.2.1 (the IP that the modem will listen to for HTTP requests) to go out the WAN port, they instead end up going out the PPPoE port. The difference being that they're wrapped in a PPPoE protocol packet, and the modem isn't being sent the packet, it's being delivered to the ISP. Given that pfSense has no ability to direct traffic out the physical WAN port: how can i direct traffic out the physical WAN port on pfSense?

  • Windows 7 Folder Redirection (GPO)

    Hi - I have been fighting this issue for a day or two now, so I am looking for some insight. I am taking over admin duties in a domain of 800 users, and the previous admins really did not employ much of any GPO settings for the clients of the Domain. In each site, there is a location on the file server where "Home" folders were manually created. EX: \server\home\enduser Whenever a user got a machine, the admin would manually right-click on the "My Documents" folder and manually enter the path to the home folder. We are planning to start putting Windows 7 machines on the Network, and I am wanting to automate as much as I can, everything that was not done in the past. Since everyone has exising "Home" folders I have been fighting and trying to get Folder Redirection to work with a new Windows 7 machine (In a Test OU). I am getting all kinds of errors and I can't get the Windows 7 "Documents" folder to redirect to the users EXISTING home folders. As I stated earlier, all of the Home folders were (and still are) manually created on the File Server and are set with the following Security permissions - Domain Admins - Full Control euser (end user) - Modify (Everything but Full) Can someone point me in the right direction on the proper setting to put in the Folder Redirection GPO to get this to work with the Existing Home folders.   • Could not continue scan with NOLOCK due to data movement during installation

    I am running Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition R2 x64 and I installed SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition. All of the preliminary checks run fine (Apart from a warning about Windows Firewall and opening ports which is unrelated to this and shouldn't be an issue - I can open those ports). Half way through the actual installation, I get a popup with this error: Could not continue scan with NOLOCK due to data movement. The installation still runs to completion when I press ok. However, at the end, it states that the following services "failed": database engine services sql server replication full-text search reporting services How do I know if this actually means that anything from my installation (which is on a clean Windows Server setup - nothing else on there, no previous SQL Servers, no upgrades, etc) is missing? I know from my programming experience that locks are for concurrency control and the Microsoft help on this issue points to changing my query's lock/transactions in a certain way to fix the issue. But I am not touching any queries? Also, now that I have installed the app, when I login, I keep getting this message: TITLE: Connect to Server ------------------------------ Cannot connect to MSSQLSERVER. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.     I am seeing a strange issue where my php.ini is not used if I do not explicitly pass it to php-fpm when starting it. Is this a quirk in php-fpm? Minor update: This also seems to be a problem for php5-fpm installed using apt-get. I did a test install in a Ubuntu Server 12.04 virtual machine by running the following: sudo apt-get install nginx php5-fpm PHP-FPM and nginx were started after installation and everything seemed fine. I then uncommented php's settings in nginx's configuration and placed a test phpinfo() file to inspect PHP's settings. The relevant bits are: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php5/fpm Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d Additional .ini files parsed /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d/10-pdo.ini I noted that no php.ini was loaded either. However, if I go to /etc/php5/fpm, I can see that a php.ini exists. I also checked the start up scripts for PHP-FPM and the -c parameter was not used to link the ini file to PHP. This can potentially be confusing for people who would expect php.ini to be loaded automatically by PHP-FPM.

    I'm running a Synergy server on Ubuntu and a Synergy+ client on OSX. The server has a standard windows keyboard with shift, ctrl, windows, and alt keys. My MacBookPro has shift, fn, control, alt/option, and command keys. When I press ctrl-c, ctrl-v, etc, the appropriate copy/paste action doesn't happen on the Mac, but it does in Ubuntu. If I'm controlling the mac, and press alt-c, alt-v, then I get the copy/paste action. So I played around with key mapping in synergy.conf and found that the following allows me to do copy/paste with ctrl-c/ctrl-v: section: screens godzilla: mbp.local: ctrl = alt alt = ctrl end Is this all that I need to do? Or are there other mappings that will help as well? The synergy configuration page refers to the following key mappings. What are the equivalent keys for each of these on the Windows keyboard and Mac keyboard?   • Goldtouch USB Keyboard reverses keystrokes in fast typing -- expected?

    I am running into an odd keyboard problem: some key combinations end up reversed (e.g. "pl" ends up being emitted as "lp") when I'm typing quickly. The problematic ones are the key combos I hit with two adjacent fingers on my right hand-- in other words, the combos I can hit the fastest. No idea how fast is "fastest", but I guess around 50-150 msecs gap between them. I'm trying to track down whether this represents a failed keyboard, an inherent limitation of my Goldtouch USB keyboards, or a software problem on my Windows 7 Lenovo T500. I use a PS/2 version of the same Goldtouch keyboard at home with no problems. I've tried another USB keyboard with my laptop and can't repro the problem. I've also used this keyboard on other laptops without a problem. According to this SU thread, USB keyboards have higher latency than PS/2 keyboards-- up to 30 msecs. I find it hard to imagine that I can type key combos faster than 50 msecs, probably more like 100-150. Anyone encountered this problem with this or another keyboard? If so, how did you fix it? Any idea if there's a "keyboard log" or some way to diagnose the problem inside Windows?

    What keyboard shortcuts do you use in Excel? Things I've discovered recently and found very useful are: Shift + Space - select the current row Ctrl + Space - select the current column Ctrl + Shift + Space - select the block of contiguous cell Ctrl + + - Insert (as in the context menu). If the current row is selected, will insert a new row. Ctrl + - - Delete (as in the context menu). If the current row is selected, will delete entire row. What (apart from the normal cut, copy, paste, etc) do you use? Ctrl + 1 to open the Format dialog. Shift + F2 to add/edit a cell comment. Shift + F2, followed by Esc to select the current cell comment, which can then be moved around with the arrow keys (????) or deleted by pressing Del. Ctrl + ???? to move to the last non-blank cell in a series. This is usually the edge of a table, but not if you have blank cells in the path. Pressing End followed by an arrow key does the same thing. Alt + F11 to open the VBA editor. Alt + = to start a SUM() formula and go straight to selecting cells to be summed. Ctrl + G or F5 to jump to a cell by typing its coordinates (e.g. C3) Ctrl + Home to jump to the top left, usually A1 unless you you are in a frozen split view, in which case it will jump to the top left of the "data" area. Ctrl + ; and Ctrl + Shift + ; to insert the current date and time, respectively. I know Ben Lings already posted this one, but I find it indispensable.

  • How do I host node.js apps with pm2 without running them as root?

    I have setup pm2 to run a node.js application, and I can successfully start it and it will resurrect upon reboot. However, the pm2 daemon is ran as root, which makes me think that all my node-scripts also runs as root? Even though I added them as a regular user in the system. Dec 30 18:48:18 10.50.1.50 1567: 001569: .Dec 30 18:48:17: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_BAD_TLV: Received SSTP BPDU with bad TLV on GigabitEthernet0/5 VLAN1. unfortunately, that mac address is the mac of our core router, the only link to the internet, on port gi0/48 On the other end of gi0/5, I have about 50 bridged customer machines connected through a series of managed and unmanaged L2 switches. Yes, on VLAN1 too ... like I said, working on changing this slowly. In the mean time, it has me quite baffled on how to deal with this and track down the customer or switch that is the problem.   • OpenSolaris / Nexenta problems with NetXen 4-port NIC card (ntxn driver)

    Hello, I'm running NexentaStor Enterprise on an HP ProLiant DL180 G6 server. The onboard NIC interfaces surface as igb0 and igb1 and work well. However, I've added an HP NC375T 4-port network card using the NetXen 3031 chipset. This card should be handled by the ntxn driver in the SUNWntxn package, but that results in "ntxn0: failed to map doorbell" messages upon boot. The network interfaces don't show up. After some research, I found HP's driver package for the card. The release notes for the driver package state: This version of the Driver is supported only on Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09. Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09 contain an older version of NetXen P3 driver package called SUNWntxn. So, adding another version of NetXen P3 driver package using pkgadd command might result in conflicts with the NetXen driver binary & related files. Users are advised to uninstall native SUNWntxn driver package before installing the new package.     EDIT: I did get a little further but all posts on my search say permissions are wrong or regenerate key but I fixed that to be 644 as well as owned by DKIM AND I keep regenerating the key but it is not helping. I even add the "LogWhy Yes" line to my opendkim.conf file as well and still see no logs there. Since I see opendkim running under user opendkim, I changed the owner of /etc/opendkim/* and /etc/opendkim and /etc/opendkim.conf all to opendkim user. I am running on ubuntu.   • Windows Start Menu Not Staying on Top

    Hey everyone. I've had this problem since Windows Vista. I did a clean install with Windows 7 and hoped it would fix the problem. Also swapped out the video card just to rule out a strange driver issue. Here's what's happening. After running for some period of time (usually a few hours), the Start button/orb will loose it's "Chrome" and turn into a plain button that just says "Start." It will work fine for a while, but then the start menu will just stop showing. Additionally, when I hit Win+D to show the desktop, the entire taskbar completely disappears. I can get it back usually by moving/minimizing windows that may be overlapping where the start menu should show. Otherwise, it requires either a full reboot or I'll end up killing & restarting the explorer.exe process.     Hello, I created install script that will install SQL Server 2008 R2 on windows XP SP3, windows vista and windows 7. One of the command that i used in the installation is for silent installation of SQL Server 2008 R2. When i install it on windows XP everything works just fine but when i try to install it on Windows 7 i get an error. What am I doing wrong? I'm seeing that the pagecache utilization is continually growing, up to the point that the system is unusable (after a few days). This happens also when I don't do anything (all user applications closed and the bare minimum of services enabled). If enabled, the system starts to use swap space (using it all in the end). Even if swap is disabled, disk activity becomes continuous, with the system unresponsive. After editing the welcome.conf page (- Index) so it does not show again when I now type example.com the/public_html/ contents (Index.php) are indexed in the browser.
