  • Selenium screenshots using rspec

    - by Thomas Albright
I am trying to capture screenshots on test failure using selenium-client and rspec. I run this command: $ spec my_spec.rb \ --require 'rubygems,selenium/rspec/reporting/selenium_test_report_formatter' \ --format=Selenium::RSpec::SeleniumTestReportFormatter:./report.html It creates the report correctly when everything passes, since no screenshots are required. However, when the test fails, I get this message, and the report has blank screenshots: WARNING: Could not capture HTML snapshot: execution expired WARNING: Could not capture page screenshot: execution expired WARNING: Could not capture system screenshot: execution expired Problem while capturing system stateexecution expired What is causing this 'execution expired' error? Am I missing something important in my spec? Here is the code for my_spec.rb: require 'rubygems' gem "rspec", "=1.2.8" gem "selenium-client" require "selenium/client" require "selenium/rspec/spec_helper" describe "Databases" do attr_reader :selenium_driver alias :page :selenium_driver before(:all) do @selenium_driver = Selenium::Client::Driver.new \ :host => "192.168.0.10", :port => 4444, :browser => "*firefox", :url => "http://192.168.0.11/", :timeout_in_seconds => 10 end before(:each) do @selenium_driver.start_new_browser_session end # The system capture need to happen BEFORE closing the Selenium session append_after(:each) do @selenium_driver.close_current_browser_session end it "backed up" do page.open "/SQLDBDetails.aspx page.click "btnBackup", :wait_for => :page page.text?("Pending Backup").should be_true end end

  • iphone twitter posting

    - by user313100
I have some twitter code I modified from: http://amanpages.com/sample-iphone-example-project/twitteragent-tutorial-tweet-from-iphone-app-in-one-line-code-with-auto-tinyurl/ His code used view alerts to login and post to twitter but I wanted to change mine to use windows. It is mostly working and I can login and post to Twitter. However, when I try to post a second time, the program crashes with a: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFString text]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xc2d560' I'm a bit of a coding newbie so any help would be appreciated. If I need to post more code, ask. #import "TwitterController.h" #import "xmacros.h" #define XAGENTS_TWITTER_CONFIG_FILE DOC_PATH(@"xagents_twitter_conifg_file.plist") static TwitterController* agent; • JSF 2 Annotations with Websphere 7 (JEE5, JAVA 1.6)

    - by gerges
Hey all, I'm currently writing a simple JSF 2 app for WAS 7. When I define the bean via the faces-config.xml, everything works great <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>personBean</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>com.prototype.beans.PersonBean</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope> </managed-bean> When I try to use the annotations below instead, the app failes. package com.prototype.beans; import javax.faces.bean.ManagedBean; import javax.faces.bean.RequestScoped; @ManagedBean(name="personBean") @RequestScoped public class PersonBean { .... } I've set the WAS classloader to Parent Last, and verified in the logs that Mojarra 2.x is loading. [5/17/10 10:46:59:399 CDT] 00000009 config I Initializing Mojarra 2.0.2 (FCS b10) for context '/JSFPrototype' However, when I try to use the app (which had worked with XML based config) I see the following [5/17/10 10:48:08:491 CDT] 00000016 lifecycle W /pages/inputname.jsp(16,7) '#{personBean.personName}' Target Unreachable, identifier 'personBean' resolved to null org.apache.jasper.el.JspPropertyNotFoundException: /pages/inputname.jsp(16,7) '#{personBean.personName}' Target Unreachable, identifier 'personBean' resolved to null Anyone know whats going wrong?

  • powershell / runspace in a thread

    - by Vincent
    Hello ! I'm running the following code : RunspaceConfiguration config = RunspaceConfiguration.Create(); PSSnapInException warning; config.AddPSSnapIn("Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.Admin", out warning); if (warning != null) throw warning; Runspace thisRunspace = RunspaceFactory.CreateRunspace(config); thisRunspace.Open(); string alias = usr.AD.CN.Replace(' ', '.'); string letter = usr.AD.CN.Substring(0, 1); string email = alias + "@" + (!usr.Mdph ? Constantes.AD_DOMAIN : Constantes.MDPH_DOMAIN) + "." + Constantes.AD_LANG; string db = "CN=IS-" + letter + ",CN=SG-" + letter + ",CN=InformationStore,CN=" + ((char)letter.ToCharArray()[0] < 'K' ? Constantes.EXC_SRVC : Constantes.EXC_SRVD) + Constantes.EXC_DBMEL; string cmd = "Enable-Mailbox -Identity \"" + usr.AD.CN + "\" -Alias " + alias + " -PrimarySmtpAddress " + email + " -DisplayName \"" + usr.AD.CN + "\" -Database \"" + db + "\""; Pipeline thisPipeline = thisRunspace.CreatePipeline(cmd); thisPipeline.Invoke(); The code is running in a thread created that way : t.WorkThread = new Thread(cu.CreerUser); t.WorkThread.Start(); If I run the code directly (not through a thread), it's working. When in a thread it throws the following exception : ObjectDisposedException "The safe handle has been closed." (Translated from french) I then replaced "Open" wirh "OpenAsync" which helped not getting the previous exception. But when on Invoke I get the following exception : InvalidRunspaceStateException "Unable to call the pipeline because its state of execution is not Opened. Its current state is Opening." (Also translated from french) I'm clueless... Any help welcome !!! Thanks !!!

  • InterIMAP, Viewing UNREAD IMAP mail and Downloading Attachments in C#

    - by Erika
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this cause its driving me mad trying get this working I was working with the trail of mail.dll from http://www.lesnikowski.com/mail/ which is an extremely fantastic tool which unfortunately i cannot afford being a student (even though its around 150eur, its still very expensive to me :/) and this would be a small module in my thesis and my faculty cannot afford to buy these things for students either :/ so anyway I had to go for a free tool (so please dont suggest any non open source ones - trust me i have tried them ALL).. Well, i'm trying to explore InterIMAP, and for several hours have been trying to list unread emails from my gmail account but it just doesn't seem to be working. I can connect just fine but finding the unread emails seems to be no easy task.. I have tried countless approaches but non seem to give me unread emails in my inbox (I have loads of emails in my inbox and i just want the unread ones). Would someone please assist me? I have been trying to get this working for ages now, but documentation is rather lacking and my every attempt has resulted in a fail so far. Please help!! Some code i currently have: ` IMAPConfig config = new IMAPConfig("myhost", "username", "pass", true, true, ""); config.CacheFile = ""; IMAPClient client = null; try { client = new IMAPClient(config, null, 5); } catch (IMAPException e) { Console.WriteLine(e.Message); return; } Console.WriteLine(DateTime.Now.ToString()); IMAPFolder f = client.Folders["INBOX"]; IMAPSearchResult sResult = f.Search(IMAPSearchQuery.QuickSearchNew()); // <--- Gives me no results even though i do have unread messages!

  • android: start an intent into a framelayout

    - by user329692
    Hi guys! I have a main activity with this layout file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Button android:id="@+id/btn_reload" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Reload" /> <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/LinearLayout01" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="center_vertical|center_horizontal" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/ImageView01" android:src="@drawable/logo_head" android:scaleType="fitStart" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> <FrameLayout android:id="@+id/center" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1"> </FrameLayout> <LinearLayout android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:gravity="center" android:id="@+id/footer" android:layout_weight="2.6" android:background="#ffffff"> </LinearLayout> Basically it is composed by an header, a central part (android:id="@+id/center") and a footer. The footer contains four buttons, created dinamically. At the end it looks like a TabWidget with the tabs at the botton. Each footer's buttons holds an Intent/activity. The question is: How can i start my activity into the FrameLayout? For instance TabHost does this: ..... spec = tabHost .newTabSpec(tabTitle.toLowerCase()) .setIndicator(tabTitle,res.getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_spec)) .setContent(intent); tabHost.addTab(spec); ....

  • WCF - Increase ReaderQuoatas on REST service

    - by Christo Fur
I have a WCF REST Service which accepts a JSON string One of the parameters is a large string of numbers This causes the following error - which is visible by tracing and using SVC Trace Viewer There was an error deserializing the object of type CarConfiguration. The maximum string content length quota (8192) has been exceeded while reading XML data. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxStringContentLength property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. Now I've read all sorts of articles advising how to rectify this All of them recommend increasing various config settings on the server and client e.g. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/65452/error-serializing-string-in-webservice-call http://bloggingabout.net/blogs/ramon/archive/2008/08/20/wcf-and-large-messages.aspx http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/wcf/thread/f570823a-8581-45ba-8b0b-ab0c7d7fcae1 So my config file looks like this <webHttpBinding> <binding name="webBinding" maxBufferSize="5242880" maxReceivedMessageSize="5242880" > <readerQuotas maxDepth="5242880" maxStringContentLength="5242880" maxArrayLength="5242880" maxBytesPerRead="5242880" maxNameTableCharCount="5242880"/> </binding> </webHttpBinding> ... ... ... <endpoint address="/" binding="webHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="webBinding" My problem is that I can change this on the server, but there are no WCF config settings on the client as its a REST service and I'm just making a http request using the WebClient object any ideas?

  • embedding layout inside each tab? - (each tab has its own activity)

    - by Abhi
I have started with the HelloTabwidget example and it works fine. Now what I am trying to do is have a layout inside each tab. here is what the code looks like myApp extends TabActivity { TabHost tabHost; onCreate() { setContentView (R.layout.main); tabHost = getTabHost(); TabHost.tabspec spec = tabHost.newTabSpec(..).setIndicator(...). setContent(new Intent().setClass(...)); tabHost.addTab(spec); : } } myTab1Actvity extends Activity { ListView myLV; EditText myET; onCreate() { setcontentView (TAB1_LAYOUT); myLV = findViewById(..); : myLV.setAdapter(aa); myET.setOnKeyListener(....) registerforContextMenu(myLV) } } when I run here is the stack trace ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): java.lang.NullPointerException ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.widget.TabHost.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(TabHost.java:295) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewGroup.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(ViewGroup.java:661) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewGroup.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(ViewGroup.java:661) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.widget.TabHost.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(TabHost.java:295) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewGroup.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(ViewGroup.java:661) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewGroup.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(ViewGroup.java:661) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewGroup.dispatchWindowFocusChanged(ViewGroup.java:661) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.view.ViewRoot.handleMessage(ViewRoot.java:1819) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4363) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:860) ERROR/AndroidRuntime(691): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:618) Does the code's flow look OK? basically each Tab has its own activity and each tab has its own layout. It appears that something is wrong in the TabHost - but I am unable to pinpoint it. Any suggestions/Qs you hav e will be very helpful.

  • Async Load JavaScript Files with Callback

    - by Gcoop
Hi All, I am trying to write an ultra simple solution to load a bunch of JS files asynchronously. I have the following script below so far. However the callback is sometimes called when the scripts aren't actually loaded which causes a variable not found error. If I refresh the page sometimes it just works because I guess the files are coming straight from the cache and thus are there quicker than the callback is called, it's very strange? var Loader = function () { } Loader.prototype = { require: function (scripts, callback) { this.loadCount = 0; this.totalRequired = scripts.length; this.callback = callback; for (var i = 0; i < scripts.length; i++) { this.writeScript(scripts[i]); } }, loaded: function (evt) { this.loadCount++; if (this.loadCount == this.totalRequired && typeof this.callback == 'function') this.callback.call(); }, writeScript: function (src) { var self = this; var s = document.createElement('script'); s.type = "text/javascript"; s.async = true; s.src = src; s.addEventListener('load', function (e) { self.loaded(e); }, false); var head = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0]; head.appendChild(s); } } Is there anyway to test that a JS file is completely loaded, without putting something in the actual JS file it's self, because I would like to use the same pattern to load libraries out of my control (GMaps etc). Invoking code, just before the tag. var l = new Loader(); l.require([ "ext2.js", "ext1.js"], function() { var config = new MSW.Config(); Refraction.Application().run(MSW.ViewMapper, config); console.log('All Scripts Loaded'); }); Thanks for any help.

  • How to use Guice in Swing application

    - by Gerco Dries
I have a Swing application that I would like to convert from spaghetti to using dependency injection with Guice. Using Guice to provide services like configuration and task queues is going great but I'm now starting on the GUI of the app and am unsure of how to proceed. The application is basically a JFrame with a bunch of tabs in a JTabbedPane. Each of the tabs is a separate JPanel subclass that lays out the various components and needs services to perform actions when certain buttons are pressed. In the current application, this looks somewhat like this: @Inject public MainFrame(SomeService service, Executor ex, Configuration config) { tabsPane = new JTabbedPane(); // Create the panels for each tab and add them to the tabbedpane somePanel = new SomeTabPanel(service, ex, config); tabsPane.addTab("Panel 1", somePanel); someOtherPanel = new SomeOtherTabPanel(service, ex, config); tabsPane.addTab("Panel 2", someOtherPanel); ... do more stuff } Obviously, this doesn't exactly follow DI best practices. I don't want to have to @Inject the tabs because that would get me a constructor with dozens of parameters. I do want to use Guice to inject the required dependencies into whatever tab objects I need without me having to pass all of those dependencies to the tab constructors. All of the dependencies for the tab objects are services that my Module knows about, so basically all I think I want to do is to ask Guice for the required objects and have them constructed for me.

  • Remove ActiveRecord in Rails 3 (beta)

    - by Splash
Now that Rails 3 beta is out, I thought I'd have a look at rewriting an app I have just started work on in Rails 3 beta, both to get a feel for it and get a bit of a head-start. The app uses MongoDB and MongoMapper for all of its models nad therefore has no need for ActiveRecord. In the previous version, I am unloading activerecord in the following way: config.frameworks -= [ :active_record ] # inside environment.rb In the latest version this does not work - it just throws an error: /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/railties-3.0.0.beta/lib/rails/configuration.rb:126:in `frameworks': config.frameworks in no longer supported. See the generated config/boot.rb for steps on how to limit the frameworks that will be loaded (RuntimeError) from *snip* Of course, I have looked at the boot.rb as it suggested, but as far as I can see, there is no clue here as to how I might go about unloading AR. The reason I need to do this is because not only is it silly to be loading something I don't want, but it is complaining about its inability to make a DB connection even when I try to run a generator for a controller. This is because I've wiped database.yml and replaced it with connection details for MongoDB in order to use this gist for using database.yml for MongoDB connection details. Not sure why it needs to be able to initiate a DB connection at all just to generate a controller anyway.... Is anyone aware of the correct Rails 3 way of doing this?

  • Possible to use multiple ServiceReference.ClientConfig files?

    - by Maciek
I'm building a modular Silverlight application, using Prism. In the Shell project, I'm loading 2x modules, each hailing from a separate assembly. For convenience let's call them ModuleA and ModuleB ModuleA makes calls to WebServiceA. A ServiceReference.ClientConfig file is present in ModuleA's assembly. In order for this to work, in the shell project, I've added an "existing item" (path set to the forementioned config file in ModuleA's folder) as a link. The shell launched and the ModuleA made a successful call to the WebServiceA. Currently, I'm working on ModuleB, it also needs to make webservice calls, this time to WebServiceB. The service reference has been added, and a ServiceReference.ClientConfig file has appeared in ModuleB's assembly. I've attempted to add that config file as a link to the shell project as well, but I've failed. Q1 : Is it possible to use multiple ServiceReference.ClientConfig files like this? Q2 : Are there any best-practices for this case? Q3 : Is it possible to rename a *.config or *.ClientConfig file ? How is it done? How do I tell the application what file to use? Edit : Formatting

  • Do the ‘up to date’ guarantees for values of Java's final fields extend to indirect references?

    - by mattbh
The Java language spec defines semantics of final fields in section 17.5: The usage model for final fields is a simple one. Set the final fields for an object in that object's constructor. Do not write a reference to the object being constructed in a place where another thread can see it before the object's constructor is finished. If this is followed, then when the object is seen by another thread, that thread will always see the correctly constructed version of that object's final fields. It will also see versions of any object or array referenced by those final fields that are at least as up-to-date as the final fields are. My question is - does the 'up-to-date' guarantee extend to the contents of nested arrays, and nested objects? An example scenario: Thread A constructs a HashMap of ArrayLists, then assigns the HashMap to final field 'myFinal' in an instance of class 'MyClass' Thread B sees a (non-synchronized) reference to the MyClass instance and reads 'myFinal', and accesses and reads the contents of one of the ArrayLists In this scenario, are the members of the ArrayList as seen by Thread B guaranteed to be at least as up to date as they were when MyClass's constructor completed? I'm looking for clarification of the semantics of the Java Memory Model and language spec, rather than alternative solutions like synchronization. My dream answer would be a yes or no, with a reference to the relevant text.

  • WCF Service Impersonation

    - by robalot
    Good Day Everyone... Apparently, I'm not setting-up impersonation correctly for my WCF service. I do NOT want to set security on a method-by-method basis (in the actual code-behind). The service (at the moment) is open to be called by everyone on the intranet. So my questions are… Q: What web-config tags am I missing? Q: What do I need to change in the web-config to make impersonation work? The Service Web.config Looks Like... <configuration> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="?"/> </authorization> <authentication mode="Windows"/> <identity impersonate="true" userName="MyDomain\MyUser" password="MyPassword"/> </system.web> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="wcfFISH.DataServiceBehavior" name="wcfFISH.DataService"> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="wcfFISH.IFishData"> <identity> <dns value="localhost"/> </identity> </endpoint> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="wcfFISH.DataServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="false"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration>

  • JQuery how to resubmit form after ajax call success

    - by Steven Rosato
I am using JQuery to perform form submission through an ajax request. I use form.submit(function() { if( success ) { return true; } validate(); //proceeds to an ajax call return false; } On request success I want to either proceed with form submission or user callback. Therefore, if the user callback is undefined, I will submit the form on form validation success (from my validate function). config = { successCallback: function() { success = true; form.submit(); //does not work } }; validate = function() { $.ajax( ... success: function(data) { //code logic config.successCallback(); } ); }; The ajax success callback will call config.successCallback() and if it was never overridden by the user, it would proceed to normal form submission. I tried using an instance variable (success) to make sure 'return true' would proceed to default form submission. Unfortunately this is not working. It seems that the 'return false' statement that prevents default form submission will neglect any further submit calls even if an instance variable was set. It only works after clicking the submit button another time (that makes it twice for it to work). Is there any workaround for this. I want to both use a user callback when provided but proceed with default form submission when not, and since I am using an ajax function to validate the form, the ajax success callback is complicating things.

  • Executing MSYS from cmd.exe with arguments

    - by Chris Allison
Hi, I am trying to learn wxWidgets library, using mingw and msys to compile the code. So far so good, but I can not find a way to send a command to MSYS through CMD.exe. I use SublimeText to edit files, and it has an option to run makefiles. I want my makefiles to be able to open an instance of MSYS and send the g++ command and arguments to it. Example: Right now my makefile is: test.exe : main.cpp g++ -s main.cpp -o test.exe `wx-config --cxxflags` `wx-config --libs` When mingw32-make goes to run the g++ command, it sends it to cmd.exe, which doesn't handle the back-ticks and wx-config jazz. (But the command does work when run from inside MSYS and the directory holding main.cpp) I want to be able to use something like... msys --command g++ -s main.cpp*...etc..* so it will load the msys enviroment, and run the command. Is this possible? I am a huge makefile newbie, so if there is an easier way, please show me! TIA!

  • NullReferenceException when testing DefaultModelBinder.

    - by Byron Sommardahl
I'm developing a project using BDD/TDD techniques and I'm trying my best to stay the course. A problem I just ran into is unit testing the DefaultModelBinder. I'm using mspec to write my tests. I have a class like this that I want to bind to: public class EmailMessageInput : IMessageInput { public object Recipient { get; set; } public string Body { get; set; } } Here's how I'm building my spec context. I'm building a fake form collection and stuffing it into a bindingContext object. public abstract class given_a_controller_with_valid_email_input : given_a_controller_context { Establish additional_context = () => { var form = new FormCollection { new NameValueCollection { { "EmailMessageInput.Recipient", "[email protected]"}, { "EmailMessageInput.Body", "Test body." } } }; _bindingContext = new ModelBindingContext { ModelName = "EmailMessageInput", ValueProvider = form }; _modelBinder = new DefaultModelBinder(); }; protected static ModelBindingContext _bindingContext; protected static DefaultModelBinder _modelBinder; } public abstract class given_a_controller_context { protected static MessageController _controller; Establish context = () => { _controller = new MessageController(); }; } Finally, my spec throws an null reference exception when I execute .BindModel() from inside one of my specs: Because of = () => { _model = _modelBinder.BindModel(_controller.ControllerContext, _bindingContext); }; Any clue what it could be? Feel free to ask me for more info, if needed. I might have taken something for granted.
