• Using pfSense, OpenVPN Connects but Still Can't See the Network

  I am having an OpenVPN issue. I have a pfSense box at home configured to allow traffic through a VPN tunnel. The client computer is Windows XP Home, behind a standard Comcast connection and a Netgear wireless router. I use OpenVPN to access my work network (from where I am trying to get out of in this post) from home (with an XP Pro machine behind pfSense), and this works fine. The client config is similar but has the changes specific to my setup... Here is my XP Home config: client dev tun proto tcp remote pfsense.*.org 1194 (starred out by me) resolv-retry infinite nobind persist-key persist-tun ca ca.crt cert client.crt key client.key ns-cert-type server comp-lzo verb 3 When I launch the OpenVPN GUI, the Tunnel TAP network connection turns red, and I can right-click that to connect to the server. Everything seems to work fine until I browse for the actual network. The Tunnel TAP connection turns green and it says connected to 10.1.1.6 (I have tried different IP pools here too with no luck). I can see the internal network fine, but my home network behind pfSense is not there. I have tried browsing there by using Tools Map Network Drive, using the browser, with no success. Could this be my problem? I am still relatively new to firewalls, VPN, and network configuration so I'm sure I am messing up something simple. Oh yah, I should note that I have firewall rules configured for pfSense to allow traffic through the WAN and the LAN. At first there was just the WAN firewall rule, because that is what I got from the literature I was reading. I then created a LAN rule as well, but I'm not sure if this was correct. • Initializing links in jqtouch in AJAX loaded content

  I have an iphone web app built in jqtouch, when content is loaded by links ("a" tags) then any content on the next page is parsed by jqtouch and any links are initialized. However, when I load content via an AJAX call and append() it to an element then any links in that content are NOT initialized by jqtouch. Thus any clicks on those links are full-blown clicks to a new resource and are not handled by jqtouch, so at that point you've effectively broken out of jqtouch. • Form Elements in ASP.NET Master Pages and Content Pages

  OK, another road bump in my current project. I have never had form elements in both my master and content pages, I tend to have all the forms in the content where relevant. In the current project however, we have a page where they want both. A login form at the top right, and a questions form in the content. Having tried to get this in, I have run in to the issue of ASP.NET moaning about the need for a single form element in a master page. TBH, I really dont get why this is a requirement on ASP.NET's part, but hey ho. Does anyone know if/how I can get the master and content pages to contain form elements that work independantly? If not, can you offer advice on how to proceed to get the desired look/functionality?

However, since I don't know the content size in advance, I'm currently getting scrollbars on the control when I load certain datasets. Basically, how can I force (or otherwise effect the equivalent of forcing) the WebBrowser to expand in size so that all content is displayed without the need for scrollbars?

  I have a TabHost with a bunch of tabs each with a TabSpec. I'd like to change the content of one of the TabSpecs but I don't seem to be able to. I've read a few places that it's not possible to change the content of a TabSpec. Does anyone know why I can add/remove tabs but not change the content of them? And can anyone suggest a workaround for this problem?

• trying to get the most accurate device location from GPS or Network in Android

  I am trying to determine the most accurate location of a device, in the shortest time possible. I am storing the data as a geopoint, and have it displayed on a mapview. The last time I activated the GPS on my device and let it get a location lock, i was approx 80 miles from where I am now. I have a location manager setup and a location listener. If I do this, I get NULL. myLocOverlay = new MyLocationOverlay(this, mapView); GeoPoint test = myLocOverlay.getMyLocation(); but in the next couple of lines; myLocOverlay.enableMyLocation(); mapView.getOverlays().add(myLocOverlay); With this, the overlay on the map shows the current location. It is using the Network provider, but is also attempting to get a GPS fix (it can't as I am indoors and no where near the top floor). If I construct the geopoint like this; if(lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps") != null) { test = new GeoPoint( (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps").getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps").getLongitude() * 1E6)); } else { if(lm.getLastKnownLocation("network") != null) { test = new GeoPoint( (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("network").getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("network").getLongitude() * 1E6)); } //bad things } Then I get confusing results. If I disable the devices GPS provider then the code moves onto the Network Provider and gives me a fairly accurate result. If I enable the GPS provider, then the geopoint comes back as the last place I allowed the device to get a GPS lock. I want to avoid the above results, and so was looking at using; GeoPoint test = myLocOverlay.getMyLocation(); BUT as I said above, I just get NULL from that. Short of getting the geopoints from both GPS and Network and then comparing them, and disregarding the GPS result if it is say 1 mile out of the Network location - i'm a bit stuck. why doesn't getMyLocation() work, shouldnt that return the GeoPoint of what myLocOverlay is showing on the mapview?

• Clear UIWebView content upon dismissal of modal view (iPhone OS 3.0)

  I currently have a UIWebView that is displayed within a modal view. It is basically a detail view that provides a view of a page when the user clicks a link. When the view is dismissed and then brought up again (when the user clicks another link), the previously-loaded content is still visible and the new content loads "on top" of the last content. This makes sense because the instance of the UIWebView persists between sessions and is only released when the memory is needed. However, I would like to completely clear the UIWebView when the modal view is dismissed so that 1) content is cleared and 2) memory is freed. Thus far my research and attempts have not found an answer.   I am currently trying to stream content out to the web after a trans-coding process. This usually works fine by writing binary out to my web stream, but some browsers (specifically IE7, IE8) do not like not having the Content-Length defined in the HTTP header. I believe that "valid" headers are supposed to have this set. What is the proper way to stream content to the web when you have an unknown Content-Length? The trans-coding process can take awhile, so I want to start streaming it out as it completes.

• why does Integrated Windows Authentication fail when clients access off the network

  My background is not with web applications so this problem is hard for me to explain easily. First I'll try to describe the setup. Client setup:-Only browser that is effected is IE 6-8 (Firefox, chrome, opera, and safari all work fine) -A user will try to access our web application from a company laptop that is not connected to our network. -This machine will be a member of our workgroup and have the company DNS listed as a trusted intranet site. (to which the application in question would be a member) -The security logon mode is set to Automatic Logon only in intranet zone only, and IWA authentication is enabled on the clients browser.Server setup:-Windows server 2003 fp2-The application will first redirect to an Authorization asp page which has anonymous access disabled and IWA enabled in IIS.what should happen is that, since the client is not currently on the network, when this page is called it should prompt the user for network credentials. But with IE, instead of prompting, the user gets a page cannot be displayed error because the IIS manager is denying access to the asp page. If the company DNS is removed from the trusted intranet site list then it prompts correctly but disables single sign on the next time that computer is connected to the network or vpn. My assumption is that since IE uses IWA and the site is listed as an internal site, when no network is found IE just sends nulls to the server attempting to authenticate which is swiftly punted back. Other browsers do not have security zones so when network credentials are not present the server prompts for them. Is there a way to get around this so that our clients can keep the company DNS in the intranet zone but still have the server prompt for credentials when not on the network? Any attempt to allow for anonymous access on the asp page, as far as I know, will cause AUTH_USER to return null and again break SSO. I realize this is slightly rambling so I will do my best to clarify and questions you guys might have. Thanks in advance.

But I need to change it to application/zip, application/pdf. The "file_attachments" parameter takes absolute paths of the attachments. Can not find a place to specify content type.   Hi there, What is the easiest way to create a Silverlight Button with custom Content which knows how to 'look' disabled? I.e. if you set IsEnabled="False" it will look greyed out. The custom Content will be dead simple, text and an image. I have done this before in a WPF application quite easily by setting the Content to a StackPanel containing a TextBlock and an Image. I then implemented a Style Trigger on the Image to change it to a greyed out version when it wasn't enabled. The text changed colour by itself. As far as I can tell the custom Content disappears altogether when the button is disabled in Silverlight. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Andrej.

• Using jQuery to grab the content from CKEditor's iframe

  Hey guys, I have this custom written CMS that uses CKEditor *(FCKEditor v3) for editing content. Along with that I'm using the jQuery Validation plugin to check all fields for error prior to ajax-based submission. For passing on the data to the PHP backend, I'm using the serialize() function. Problem is, serialize manages to grab all other fields correctly, except for the actual content typed in CKEditor. Like every other WYSIWYG editor, this one too overlays an iframe over an existing textbox. And serialize ignores the iframe and looks only into the textbox for content... which of course, it doesn't find - thus returning a blank content body. My approach to this is to create a hook onto the onchange event of CKEditor and concurrently update the textbox (CKEDITOR.instances.[textboxname].getData() returns the content) or some other hidden field with any changes made in the editor. However, since CKEditor is still in it's beta stage and severely lacks documentation, I cannot seem to find a suitable API call that'll enable me to do so. Does anyone have any idea on how to go about this? Or maybe suggest even a better method?

  I have asp.net content page with an update panel, asp.net controls with ajax extenders and it has asp.net button with event click. everything is working ok exept one case. I have 3 DropDownList with CascadingDropDown extenders. when I click the button without selecting anything from DropDownLists then click on the button the event click will work OK but if I select anything my page will respond when I click on the button. • jQuery UI Slider - Animation of handle and scroll content not in sync

  Im having troubles getting the jQuery UI Slider customized for my purposes. On load the slider and its content should automatically animate to a certain position. Ideally it should animate to the very right, then stop and then animate back (as a loop) as long as the user doesn't hovers over scroll content or slider. Even if I click on the slider track itself the animation of scroll content and slider handle are not in sync. Does anyone got a solution?

  Hi, I am trying to display 10 html pages as a single document,with 10 chapters. I am using Webkitgtk+ engine to render the HTML pages. I am getting the content of each html files and concatenating all of them to create a single 'char *content' and using webkit_web_view_load_html_string(WebKitWebView *web_view, const gchar *content, const gchar *base_uri); this function to load all the HTML files, as a document. Now i am trying to build a 'table of contents(toc)' for this document, which displays all the chapter names in order. My requirement is, when i click on a particular chapter in toc, the document should scroll to that point. For that i need to know height of each chapter ( height of each html file content). The point to be noted here is, the width of the document can changed and as HTML is reflowable, as width increases height decreases and vice-versa. So each time when height changes i need to find out the current height of each HTML page(or chapter) and hence calculate the distance to be scrolled. How can i find out the height of content of HTML page dynamically ? Thank you for the answer....

• Download MMS content on Blackberry

  Hi I am relatively new to coding for the blackberry and I need to write a java application that can capture all incoming and outgoing MMS data from a Blackberry device. I have gotten the capturing of outgoing MMS's sorted with the use of A sendListener, but the problem comes with the incoming MMS's. If I use a MessageListener that processes only those of type BinaryMessage, i can capture the binary notification SMS that comes in when there is an incoming MMS. From this notification, i can get the senders MSISDN as well as the URL on the MMSC where the content is stored. To get the actual MMS content, i presume i need to download it from this URL, but im unable to get this working. I have tried just opening a HTTPConnetion to this URL, opening an inputStream on it and reading from there, but i retrieve no content. If i manually go to that URL on the blackberry, i can see the content fine (and of course the blackberry can download it automatically anyway). Can anyone please help me asap on how i can get the mms content for incoming MMS's. Thanks alot

• Initialize content of a jQuery remote tab on initial page load

  I'm using the jQuery tabs library to create a set of remote (i.e., ajax loaded) tabs. However, to avoid the initial page load being empty until the ajax request finishes, I'd like to include the content for the initial tab with the initial page download. I've got this generally working by providing a div in the initial page load that matches the title of the tab, but even though this content appears immediately, as soon as I initialize the tabs it does the ajax request IN ADDITION which is both wasteful and causes a flicker. My basic question is how can I get jQuery tabs to NOT do an ajax request for the initially selected tab, and get this content as part of the initial page load, while still loading the other tabs dynamically. The complication is that I can't hard code the ids/hrefs for which tab is the "initial" one since the initial tab will change based on available content. I'm sure there is some kind of hacky way to do this with javascript rewriting the URLs of tabs dynamically before I initialize the tabs but I'm looking for a cleaner solution. Any ideas?

I tried setting margin-bottom: -106px on the "container" div but that didn't change the height of the "container" div.. The "content" div will have varied height as it's obviously for text, etc. Is there any way of making this work? Thanks in advance :)
