    I've been googling around and I can't seem to find anything which explains the use of ZF router well. I've read the documentation on the site, which seems to only talk about re-routing. I am trying to make the format: /module/value/controller/action give /module/controller/action passing on value as a parameter e.g. /store/johnsmithbigsale/home/newstuff would route to /store/home/newstuff passing on johnsmithbigsale as the value to a parameter with a hidden namespace e.g. storeName. Some help would be greatful!

  • Passing data from a View to a controller in ASP.Net MVC

    Hello, I have a dictionary I'm passing to a View. I want to be able to pass the values of that dictionary back to a Controller action from this same View. Is there anyway this can be accomplished without using a form? The situation is that I need to be able to pass these back to a controller action that is called when a user clicks an ActionLink from the View, and in my experience an ActionLink cannot be used to submit a values of a form, i.e. I've only been able to submit values of a form using the form's submit button. Unless there's a way to use an ActionLink to submit values in a form.

  • nginx 301 redirect to subfolder on primary domain

    sorry for my poor english. i just set up wordpress on my vps, so far its the only item on my site. there for seo reason, i think is better redirect all primary domain to the blog folder. primary domain is example.com wordpress is at example.com/blog what i want is rewrite www.example.com and example.com to example.com/blog. googled got some scripts, and make some change paste into nginx config file. here is: #301 redirect www to non-www server { server_name www.example.com; location = / { rewrite ^/(.*) http://example.com/$1 permanent; } } #301 non-www to subfolder server { server_name example.com; location = / { rewrite ^/(.*) http://example.com/blog$1 permanent; } } it works at some degree, successfully redirect to example.com/blog. the only problem is i get 404 not found error. then i only make nginx redirect www to example.com/blog. ok, this time i can access blog page. i know there is something wrong in the non-www to subfolder script. but do not how to fix it :(

    Hello, I have an application set up where the window contains a tab bar controller and one of the tabs loads a NIB called 'ShowCaseView.xib': this file is owned by a custom ShowcaseViewController class. In the ShowcaseViewcontroller class I have added a UIScrollView object, like so: imageScrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:[[self view] bounds]]; [[self view] addSubview:imageScrollView]; The issue I am having is that this UIScrollView object extends beneath my tab bar controller. So I have had to reduce its insets manually: #define TAB_BAR_HEIGHT 48 . . UIEdgeInsets edgeInsets = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, TAB_BAR_HEIGHT, 0); [imageScrollView setScrollIndicatorInsets:edgeInsets]; So, Is it common to have to manually deduct the tab bar height from a view (whether this be by reducing the size of subviews or the View NIB in inspector)? Is there a way that I can tell a NIB's view loaded from a tab bar to resize itself automatically to NOT sit behind the tab bar? Cheers

    I am using STI and am wondering, do I have to have a separate controller for each model? I have a situation where I only use the create and edit actions for one model in the STI relationship, but I get an 'undefined method' error if I try to do a form for. More specifically, I have two models that inherit from List: class RegularList < List class OtherList < List and I have a lists controller that handles these actions, but I only create new models with RegularList using forms. i.e. the only situation where I use a form_for to create a new List object is with RegularList. What I would like to do is something like: class ListsController < ApplicationController def new @list = RegularList.new end otherwise the route for creating a new list looks like regular_list/new but I would like it to just be list/new. Thoughts?

  • require_owner code to limit controller actions not recognizing current user as owner

    I am trying to restrict access to certain actions using a before_filter which seems easy enough. Somehow the ApplicationController is not recognizing that the current_user is the owner of the user edit action. When I take the filter off the controller correctly routes the current_user to their edit view information. Here is the code. Link to call edit action from user controller (views/questions/index.html.erb): <%= link_to "Edit Profile", edit_user_path(:current) %> ApplicationController (I am only posting the code that I think is affecting this but can post the whole thing if needed). class ApplicationController < ActionController::Base def require_owner obj = instance_variable_get("@#{controller_name.singularize.camelize.underscore}") # LineItem becomes @line_item return true if current_user_is_owner?(obj) render_error_message("You must be the #{controller_name.singularize.camelize} owner to access this page", root_url) return false end end and the before_filter class UsersController < ApplicationController before_filter :require_owner, :only => [:edit, :update, :destroy] #... end I simply get the rendering of the error message from the ApplicationController#require_owner action.

    I need some advice, what is the rule of the thumb when creating Rails controllers names? Should controller be all be verbs or a combination of nouns and verbs (or adjectives)? This is the example provided on creating controllers in Rails, ./script/generate controller CreditCard open debit credit close # which is a combination of nouns and verbs (unless credit and debit is made into a verb) However, if I create a scaffold, the default controller actions would be index, show, new, edit, update, destroy, which has 1 noun and all verb. Should nouns and verbs be separated completely for sake of consistency also providing a clearer project goals? Or should I mix them together?

  • Postfix relay all mail through SES except for one sending domain / address

    I'm thinking this is really really super simple, but I can't figure out what I need to do. I don't mess with Postfix much (Just let it run and do its thing) so I've got no idea where to even start with this. We have postfix currently configured to relay all mail out through SES using the code below. We need to modify this so that emails sent from one of our domains (domain.com) DO NOT go through SES. Everything else should continue to flow out through the SES connection. I'm assuming this is like a one line thing but my google skills are not helping me at all. relayhost = email-smtp.us-east-1.amazonaws.com:25 smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes smtp_sasl_security_options = noanonymous smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sasl_passwd smtp_use_tls = yes smtp_tls_security_level = encrypt smtp_tls_note_starttls_offer = yes smtp_tls_CAfile = /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt smtp_destination_concurrency_limit = 450 Update I have created sender_transport file in /etc/postfix. In it is @domain.com smtp: I then ran this through postmap and placed sender_dependent_default_transport_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_transport above the above block of code and restarted postfix, but still all email is going out through SES.     Hello, In my app I am using the ym4r-gm plugin, which allows you to play with the Google Maps API... I put the map "setup" in the controller: @map = GMap.new("div_map") @map.control_init(:large_map => true, :map_type => true) @map.center_zoom_init([47.0, 26.0], 7) ... And only render @map in the view. So my first question is whether I am using the right approach of "diving" this code? And the second question is: I have to models, which are rendering the same map (only the resources are different). Where should I put my refactored method that renders the map? In the application controller, maybe? Thanks in advance, I hope you will understand me!

    I have the following relation in my rails app: genre - has many - authors authors - belong to genre and has many books books - belongs to authors and belongs to users (users can add books to the db) in my controller I have: @books=current_user.books(:include => [:author => :genre], :order => 'created_at DESC') While I am able to use the @books variable in my views - nothing is done correctly (i.e. its not showing me only books added by that user, and its not descending by created_at)... any ideas? -- Also I'm using clearance for the user auth, so current_user without the @ in the controller seems to work fine Actually, I think the relation is working, only the sort might not be working...

    Im trying to make a table row work as a link to another view in my mvc website. Instead of using the standard "Details" link provided by the auto generated table list, I would like to use the table row as a link to the "Details" view instead. So somehow I need to make the row work as a link. Each rom has a unique id that I need to pass on to the controller method. I have tried different solutions but noting happens when I press on the table row...   • Exception if there is IBOutlet in view controller created by initWithNibName

    When I create a Navigation-based application, the second view controller is created with initWithNibName, if I add a label onto the second view and connect it with IBOutlet in the second view controller. After I navigate to the second view by clicking table cell, and then back to the root view, the application aborts - send message retainCount to a freed object. I know this is caused by the IBOutlet label, which is retained, set nil in viewDidUnload and dealloc in dealloc. But I don't know why, and if I wanna still use IBOutlet, what can I do? Not dealloc it in viewcontroller's dealloc? Anybody could help? Thank you.

    I have an NSTableView which is bound to an NSDictionaryController. I have set this and the content dictionary through the interface builder. The question I have is, how do I add objects to the dictionary in a manner that the controller will see it automatically and display it in the table. I've seen in examples about NSArrayController that you add the new objects through the controller rather than the actual array so the controller sees the change. However, I don't see a similar way of doing this with the dictionarycontroller... Thanks for the help.

  • JSF - Updating Model Values in Controller Bean

    I have a Controller bean (SearchController) that has two managed bean as managed properties (SearchCriteria, SearchResults; both of which are session scoped). When the user hits the find button, the action method that is executed is in SearchController. The SearchCreteria managed bean has a method called search(). This method returns a new SearchResults object. In the controller bean, I am setting the searchResults managed property to be this new SearchResults object. The searchResults object contains what I expect during that request, but the object does not persist in the managed bean. I understand that I am changing what object that searchResults is referencing, but what I don't understand is why JSF isn't updating the model to use the new object. Any ideas what I'm missing or don't understand? I am using JSF 1.1 on WebSphere 6.1. If I put the search method in the SearchResults managed bean, it works.

What I did Create a project (Window-Based) Add 3 child classes (Window-Based too) Add a Tab Bar Controller to MainWindow.xib For each view under Tab Bar Controller, the 'Class', 'Name', 'Title' and 'NIB Name' are all set to connect to the corresponding class Add @class, IBOutlet are done in AppDelegate.h and AppDelegate.m In didFinishLaunchingWithOptions, I called [window addSubView: tabBarController.view]; Save and Run -- Tab Bar with 3 items can be seen But ... the 3 child views ARE NOT LOADED and SHOWN ... :( Anything that I missed ? Here is my code: #routes map.resources :customers, :has_many => [:addresses, :matchings] map.connect ":controller/:action/:id" #url path: http://127.0.0.1:3000/customers/index/3 #customers controller def index @customer = Customer.find(params[:id]) end #customers view/index.html.erb ... <%= @customer.name %> ... Error: undefined method `name' for nil:NilClass. Here's my reasoning. The parameter :id is coming from my url path (i.e. we're looking for customer #3 in the above path). @customer should find that array easily, then @customer.name should produce the name, but apparently @customer is blank. Why? I assume the problem is that I'm not producing an array in my controller?
