  By accident, I recently removed some videos from my phone. I tried to restoring them with Recuva and TuneUp Utilities and the results were "undf" files. I tried to open with VLC, Media Player Classic and other video players to no avail. Where/how do I find out the codec for these files? I would really love to be able to watch these videos again.

  When I boot into Windows on my Macbook Pro, I am unable to make the external monitor the default monitor. So when I play games full screen, they automatically open up on my laptop monitor. I want them to open up on my secondary monitor. The only solution I found to this is to make my external monitor mirror my laptop monitor. I can't even close the lid of the laptop monitor because that will cause the system to go to sleep.

• Windows Server not installing audio drivers properly

  I am trying to install a dummy sound card on a Windows Server machine (in Amazon EC2 cloud) in order for one of my application to work. I'm trying to accomplish that with Virtual Audio Cable and REAUDIO3. Both tools managed to install a new device on my Windows XP machine, but on Windows Server, no new devices appear. Windows Audio and Plug and Play services are Started and Automatic. ANY ideas are greatly appreciated.

• Outlook 2010 Auto Responder Rule Not Working (Error)

  In Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 I've created a template to use as an auto responder and I set a rule to respond using the template if my name is in the "to line". Upon receiving any message the rule reports an error but gives no explanation of what the error is. My goal here is simply to make an auto responder, if there is a simpler way/workaround I would love any help getting the to work as I am leaving town very shortly.

  I am using Ubuntu 10.04, kernel 2.6.32-21-generic, with Evolution 2.83.3. I have noticed that when I get a new email, it never shows a new mail icon in the panel. I had the same problem with 9.10, and I thought the problem would go away when I upgraded to 10.04. • Installing ubuntu on inspiron 1720, can I dual boot?

  Can I dual boot ubuntu with on a inspiron 1720 (it is running windows 7). One issue is I don't have space on the c:\ drive, but other partitions have space. Will that cause any issues? This is just to play and learn with, and I don't want to ruin my main windows install doing this. I don't think my laptop is powerful enough for a virtualbox install (only 2gb ram).

  I have the following problem: I want to stream the audio I record with one machine to another machine in the same network. It seems that vlc is the best shot at the moment. I was able to stream a music file via vlc but streaming the audio from the microphone the same doesn't work. EDIT If I enable play locally the captured sound is played. Even streaming to another instance of VLC on the same machine doesn't work.

While playing NFS, my car has various transparent diamonds all over its body, and while playing FIFA I get these weird black lines all over the field.   I have an archive folder that contains all messages I ever received on my mail account. The mail account is not a Gmail account. One thing I love about Gmail is that the threaded view not only shows messages I received but also messages I sent. The only piece missing in this puzzle is the possibility for Mail.app to store a copy of all sent messages in my archive folder or to otherwise combine these two folders. Is this possible?
