  • Measuring Loading time of a web page (C#)

    - by j-t-s
    Hi All I would like to know if there is a simple way of measuring the time it takes from when you hit Enter, to the time where a web page is fully displayed/loaded. Would I need to use a Timer for this, or are there existing features built into the Web Browser control (or .net framework) that I have missed out on? Thank you

  • Java Errors with jRuby on Rails on Google App Engine

    - by John Wang
    I followed all of the instructions so far from: http://code.google.com/p/appengine-jruby/wiki/RunningRails and http://gist.github.com/268192 Currently, I'm just trying to get to hello world. I'm getting these errors when I just run the dev_appserver.rb 238:hello-world jwang392$ dev_appserver.rb . => Booting DevAppServer => Press Ctrl-C to shutdown server => Generating configuration files • iPhone Datepicker plays 'tick' sound

    - by DecodingSand
    Hey guys, Does any of you know what event I can tap into on the DatePicker when the wheel moves. I want to play a sound (got sound code) as the wheel spin. Just like the timer set picker in Apple's clock app. All that is there is a single event for ValueChanges which only fires once, at the end of a wheel spin. Thanks in advance

  • Can/should one disable namespace validation in Axis2 clients using ADB databinding?

    - by RJCantrell
    I have an document/literal Axis 1 service which I'm consuming with an Axis 2 client (ADB databinding, generated from WSDL2Java). It receives a valid XML response, but in parsing that XML, I get the error "Unexpected Subelement" for any type which doesn't have a namespace defined in the response. I can resolve the error by manually changing the (auto-generated by Axis2) type-validation line to only check the type name and not the namespace as well, but is there a non-manual way to skip this? This service is consumed properly by other Axis 1 clients. Here's the response, with bits in ALL CAPS having been anonymized. Some types have namespaces, some have empty-string namespaces, and some have none at all. Can I control this via the service's WSDL, or in Axis2's WSDL2Java handling of the WSDL? Is there a fundamental mismatch between Axis 1 and Axis2? The response below looks correct, except perhaps for where that type (anonymized as TWO below) is nested within itself. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <soapenv:Body> <SERVICENAMEResponse xmlns="http://service.PROJECT.COMPANY.com"> <SERVICENAMEReturn xmlns=""> <ONE></ONE> <TWO><TWO> <THREE>2</THREE> <FOUR>-10</FOUR> <FIVE>6</FIVE> <SIX>1</SIX> </TWO></TWO> <fileName></fileName> </SERVICENAMEReturn></SERVICENAMEResponse> </soapenv:Body></soapenv:Envelope> I did not have to modify the validation of the "SERVICENAMEResponse" object because it has the correct namespace specified, but I have to so for all its subelements. The manual modification that I can make (one per type) to fix this is to change: if (reader.isStartElement() && new javax.xml.namespace.QName("http://dto.PROJECT.COMPANY.com","ONE").equals(reader.getName())){ to: if (reader.isStartElement() && new javax.xml.namespace.QName("ONE").equals(reader.getName())){

  • Preventing sleep in Titanium for iPhone

    - by Morten J
    I'm trying to read the accelerometer for a longer period of time (between one and two hours). However, when the iPhone goes to sleep and locks, the reading of the accelerometer readout is paused. My setInterval timer seems to be running fine though. I can also play sounds. I see two solutions a) Find a way to read the accelerometer while locked b) Find a way to prevent the lock I'm using Titanium with JavaScript.

  • FileSystemWatcher vs Polling to watch for changes

    - by Jon Tackabury
    I need to setup an application that watches for files being created in a folder (locally or on a network drive) and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether the FileSystemWatcher or polling on a timer would be the best option. I have used both methods in the past, but not extensively. Have you run into any issues (performance, reliability... etc) with either method? I know there isn't a "right way" to do this, I'm just looking opinions.

  • Problem deploying portlets on JBoss Portal 2.7.2: Not a canonical value

    - by Dee
    I just downloaded the JBoss Portal Server 2.7.2 (JBoss Portal + JBoss AS 4.2.3 bundle to be precise) and tried deploying portlets just as the SimpleHelloWorld provided in the samples. The portlet gets deployed fine but when I put it on a page I get the following exception. I tried adding other Portlets as well (such as the booking MVC portelt supplied with Spring WebFlow dist) but the same problem happens. The problem happens when the new instances are created by me, example when i create a new instance of CMS Portlet, I get the same error. If I use an existing instance it works. If I deploy a portlet that creates an instance using the "portle-instances.xml" then it works fine, but creating additional instances using the Admin and deploying them on page fails due to the following error. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone please help? javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Not a canonical value SimplestHelloWorldWindow • Jquery Count up Animation?

    - by Wes
    I have a a counter that needs to count up from $0 to $10,000 in x seconds (most likely 3 seconds). Just straight text, kind of like a millisecond countdown timer, but upwards and with a dollar sign. I'd rather not use a bulky plugin as this just needs to loop through 1-10,00 in x seconds and update every 100ms or so. I'm stuck at creating the loop that will update, where should I start?

  • Java: Checking if PC is idle

    - by Scott Straughan
    This is a rather tricky question as I have found no information online. Basically, I wish to know how to check if a computer is idle in Java. I wish a program to only work if the computer is in active use but if it is idle then to not. The only way i can think of doing this is hooking into the mouse/keyboard and having a timer. MSN Messenger has that "away" feature, I wish for something similar to this.

  • Problem with JOGL and Framebuffer Render-to-texture: Invalid Framebuffer Operation Error

    - by quadelirus
    Okay, so I am trying to render a scene to a small 32x32 texture and ran into problems. I get an "invalid framebuffer operation" error when I try to actually draw anything to the texture. I have simplified the code below so that it simply tries to render a quad to a texture and then bind that quad as a texture for another quad that is rendered to the screen. So my question is this... where is the error? This is using JOGL 1.1.1. The error occurs at Checkpoint2 in the code. import java.awt.event.*; import javax.media.opengl.*; import javax.media.opengl.glu.*; import javax.swing.JFrame; import java.nio.*; public class Main extends JFrame implements GLEventListener, KeyListener, MouseListener, MouseMotionListener, ActionListener{ /* GL related variables */ private final GLCanvas canvas; • Why is jQuery .load() firing twice?

    - by LeslieOA
    Hello S-O. I'm using jQuery 1.4 with jQuery History and trying to figure out why Firebug/Web Inspector are showing 2 XHR GET requests on each page load (double that amount when visiting my sites homepage (/ or /#). e.g. Visit this (or any) page with Firebug enabled. Here's the edited/relevant code (see full source): - $(document).ready(function() { $('body').delegate('a', 'click', function(e) { var hash = this.href; if (hash.indexOf(window.location.hostname) > 0) { /* Internal */ hash = hash.substr((window.location.protocol+'//'+window.location.host+'/').length); $.historyLoad(hash); return false; } else if (hash.indexOf(window.location.hostname) == -1) { /* External */ window.open(hash); return false; } else { /* Nothing to do */ } }); $.historyInit(function(hash) { $('#loading').remove(); $('#container').append('<span id="loading">Loading...</span>'); $('#ajax').animate({height: 'hide'}, 'fast', 'swing', function() { $('#page').empty(); $('#loading').fadeIn('fast'); if (hash == '') { /* Index */ $('#ajax').load('/ #ajax','', function() { ajaxLoad(); }); } else { $('#ajax').load(hash + ' #ajax', '', function(responseText, textStatus, XMLHttpRequest) { switch (XMLHttpRequest.status) { case 200: ajaxLoad(); break; case 404: $('#ajax').load('/404 #ajax','', ajaxLoad); break; // Default 404 default: alert('We\'re experiencing technical difficulties. Try refreshing.'); break; } }); } }); // $('#ajax') }); // historyInit() function ajaxLoad() { $('#loading').fadeOut('fast', function() { $(this).remove(); $('#ajax').animate({height: 'show', opacity: '1'}, 'fast', 'swing'); }); } }); A few notes that may be helpful: - Using WordPress with default/standard .htaccess I'm redirecting /links-like/this to /#links-like/this via JavaScript only (PE) I'm achieving the above with window.location.replace(addr); and not window.location=addr; Feel free to visit my site if needed. Thanks in advanced.

I did have a read of this article and its follow-up, but so far I've had trouble determining how to go about adding the interceptor code without the use of Spring (this is for a JUnit test). How might I go about authenticating against this Web service?

  • Get error with connect to server “Trust anchor for certification path not found.”

    - by user3693568
    I wrote code in android for connecting to server with ssl, I use BKS algorithm, I can create socket but when I send data to switch, I get this error javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found. It is wonderful for me, I can connect to another server in local network with another BKS file and I can get response from that server, but with correct certificate in outside network, I cannot connect to another server, is it possible with network problem? Best regards

  • progressIndicator does not update till about 10 seconds after awakeFromNib occures

    - by theprojectabot
    I have been trying to get this one section of my UI to immediatly up date when the document loads into view. The awakeFromNib fires the pasted code and then starts a timer to repeat every 10 seconds... I load a default storage location: ~/Movies... which shows up immediately.. yet the network location that is saved in the document that gets pulled from the XML only seems to show up after the second firing of the - (void)updateDiskSpaceDisplay timer. I have set breakpoints and know that the ivars that contain the values that are being put into the *fileSystemAttributes is the network location right when the awakeFromNib occurs... Im confused why it magically appears after the second time firing instead of immediately displaying the write values. - (void)updateDiskSpaceDisplay { // Obtain information about the file system used on the selected storage path. NSError *error = NULL; NSDictionary *fileSystemAttributes = [[NSFileManager defaultManager] attributesOfFileSystemForPath:[[[self settings] containerSettings] storagePath] error:&error]; if( !fileSystemAttributes ) return; // Get the byte capacity of the drive. long long byteCapacity = [[fileSystemAttributes objectForKey:NSFileSystemSize] unsignedLongLongValue]; // Get the number of free bytes. long long freeBytes = [[fileSystemAttributes objectForKey:NSFileSystemFreeSize] unsignedLongLongValue]; // Update the level indicator, and the text fields to show the current information. [totalDiskSpaceField setStringValue:[self formattedStringFromByteCount:byteCapacity]]; [totalDiskSpaceField setNeedsDisplay:YES]; [usedDiskSpaceField setStringValue:[self formattedStringFromByteCount:(byteCapacity - freeBytes)]]; [usedDiskSpaceField setNeedsDisplay:YES]; [diskSpaceIndicator setMaxValue:100]; [diskSpaceIndicator setIntValue:(((float) (byteCapacity - freeBytes) / (float) byteCapacity) * 100.0)]; [diskSpaceIndicator display:YES]; } thoughts? my awakeFromNib: - (void)awakeFromNib { [documentWindow setAcceptsMouseMovedEvents:YES]; [documentWindow setDelegate:self]; [self updateSettingsDisplay]; [self updateDiskSpaceDisplay]; [self setDiskSpaceUpdateTimer:[NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:10.0 target:self selector:@selector(updateDiskSpaceDisplay) userInfo:NULL repeats:YES]]; [self setUpClipInfoTabButtons]; [self performSelector:@selector(setupEngineController) withObject:NULL afterDelay:0.1]; }

  • JAX-WS errors when SOAP body contains UTF-8 BOM

    - by Vinny Carpenter
    I have developed a Web Service using JAX-WS (v2.1.3 - Sun JDK 1.6.0_05) deployed on WebLogic 10.3 that works just fine when I use a Java client or SoapUI or other Web Services testing tools. I need to consume this service using 2005 Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and I get the following error Couldn't create SOAP message due to exception: XML reader error: unexpected character content SEVERE: Couldn't create SOAP message due to exception: XML reader error: unexpected character content: "?" com.sun.xml.ws.protocol.soap.MessageCreationException: Couldn't create SOAP message due to exception: XML reader error: unexpected character content: "?" at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.SOAPBindingCodec.decode(SOAPBindingCodec.java:292) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.decodePacket(HttpAdapter.java:276) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.access$500(HttpAdapter.java:93) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter$HttpToolkit.handle(HttpAdapter.java:432) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.HttpAdapter.handle(HttpAdapter.java:244) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.ServletAdapter.handle(ServletAdapter.java:134) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.WSServletDelegate.doGet(WSServletDelegate.java:129) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.WSServletDelegate.doPost(WSServletDelegate.java:160) at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.servlet.WSServlet.doPost(WSServlet.java:75) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:727) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:820) at weblogic.servlet.internal.StubSecurityHelper$ServletServiceAction.run(StubSecurityHelper.java:227) at weblogic.servlet.internal.StubSecurityHelper.invokeServlet(StubSecurityHelper.java:125) at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletStubImpl.execute(ServletStubImpl.java:292) at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletStubImpl.execute(ServletStubImpl.java:175) at weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext$ServletInvocationAction.run(WebAppServletContext.java:3498) at weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject.doAs(AuthenticatedSubject.java:321) at weblogic.security.service.SecurityManager.runAs(Unknown Source) at weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext.securedExecute(WebAppServletContext.java:2180) at weblogic.servlet.internal.WebAppServletContext.execute(WebAppServletContext.java:2086) at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.run(ServletRequestImpl.java:1406) at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:201) at weblogic.work.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:173) Caused by: com.sun.xml.ws.streaming.XMLStreamReaderException: XML reader error: unexpected character content: "?" at com.sun.xml.ws.streaming.XMLStreamReaderUtil.nextElementContent(XMLStreamReaderUtil.java:102) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.StreamSOAPCodec.decode(StreamSOAPCodec.java:174) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.StreamSOAPCodec.decode(StreamSOAPCodec.java:296) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.StreamSOAPCodec.decode(StreamSOAPCodec.java:128) at com.sun.xml.ws.encoding.SOAPBindingCodec.decode(SOAPBindingCodec.java:287) ... 22 more If I use a HTTP proxy to sniff out what SSRS is sending to JAX-WS, I see EF BB BF as the beginning of the post body and JAX-WS doesn't like that. If I remove the special characters and resubmit the request using Fiddler, then the web-service invocation works. Why does JAX-WS blow up with the standard UTF-8 BOM? Is there a workaround to get past this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks --Vinny

  • How to configure Spring JavaMailSenderImpl for Gmail

    - by Andrew Carlson
    I am trying to find the correct properties to use to connect to the Gmail SMTP sever using the JavaMailSenderImpl class. Let me first say that I have tried the approach found here. This worked fine. But when I tried the configuration below that post with the exact same authentication information I received a javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException. My currently configuration looks like this. <bean id="mailSender" class ="org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSenderImpl" > <property name="username" value="[email protected]" /> <property name="password" value="XXX" /> <property name="javaMailProperties"> <props> <prop key="mail.smtp.host">smtp.gmail.com</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.port">587</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.auth">true</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.starttls.enable">true</prop> </props> </property> </bean> Why am I still getting this javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException if I know that my credentials are correct. Update Here is my updated code based on the answers below. I am still receiving the same exception. <bean id="mailSender" class ="org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSenderImpl" > <property name="username" value="[email protected]" /> <property name="password" value="XXX" /> <property name="javaMailProperties"> <props> <prop key="mail.smtp.from">[email protected]</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.user">[email protected]</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.password">XXX</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.host">smtp.gmail.com</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.port">587</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.auth">true</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.starttls.enable">true</prop> </props> </property> </bean>

  • QueueConnectionFactory for MQSeries

    - by Pawel
    Does anyone know if there is an implementation of javax.jms.QueueConnectionFactory for MQSeries and where to get it? I Googled it and searched IBM website but couldn't find anything. I don't want to retrieve the connection or factory from Websphere MQ via jndi, I need my own connection factory.
