    I am still very new to the MVC framework, but I managed to create a controller that reads from a database and writes JSON to an url; host.com/Controllername?minValue=something&maxValue=something However when I move the site to a subfolder; host.com/mvc/ it doesn't seem to be able to call the controller from there when I do it like this; host.com/mvc/Procedure?minValue=something&maxValue=something Did I forget to do something somewhere to make this url call valid from that subfolder? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I've got some code that does an ajax request using jQuery, and handles success and error conditions. On an error, I want to find out what the URL I called was, so I can log it. This information appears to be contained in the XMLHttpRequest.channel, but firefox is complaining about accessing this - Permission denied for <http://localhost:8081> to get property XMLHttpRequest.channel Any ideas how I can determine the URL associated with an XMLHttpRequest?     Hi, I have made a facebook application for generating access_token. It's working fine except one problem with it's redirect url. Have set redirect Url : www.mysite.com/myfolder/ in my FB application. So it will work for all folders/files inside www.mysite.com/myfolder/ but I am having problem I want to use these urls for redirect: http://www.mysite.com/myfolder/index.php?mod=config&do=useradd http://www.mysite.com/myfolder/index.php?mod=config&do=useredit and it always redirecting me on: http://www.mysite.com/myfolder/index.php?mod=config which is wrong . Please help to resolve this issue.

  • Different i18n in spring according to url

    I have a spring web application that is required to work as following the application will be accessed from two different URLs www.domain1.com and www.domain2.com and it is required that the two URLs looks like two different applications with different CSS and I18n. for the css part is done but I am stuck with the i18n part How to make spring load different i18n properties file according to the domain name? The solution that I thought in is to implement a filter that check the request URL and according to the URL it clears the message source bean and load the required i18n file but it does not looks good for the performance by the way I am using ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource message source Another solution is to implement two different message sources. The problem with this solution is that from the source code I can manage the bean that I use but how can I tell the fmt:message tag which data source to use ? Thanks in advance and best regards

  • URL of the website calling Restlet API

    I have a Restlet API and the methods exposed on it are called by a PHP web app. This web app is accessible by several domain names and depending on the domain certain aspects of the app are changed (look and feel, content etc). Is there a way for Restlet to determine the URL of the calling web app? I have used getReference() but all I can get is the (internal) IP address of the calling web server (not the domain name). My only other alternative is to pass the URL of the web app with every request to the API but it would be cleaner if Restlet already knew. Thanks

    am using django.0.97 version i have model called profile in that i have few fields eg like name ,email...ects and it's backend also ready..i.e database . and all users profile is created...i have given all permission to all users. when i login ,click on profile..i able to see list of all user name thr when i click on it ,it's goin to model page where i can edit the user profile..instead of that i want to navigate to a template when i can display the user details ,i have set the URl for it so that when url of that type request comes it should call a view from view it will call my template to display user details,.....the problem is it's not calling my view.... i think my problem is brief....if any information still required ?? pls ask me....and help me

    I have a redirect situation where the site is part dynamic and part generated .html files. For example, mysite.com/homepage and mysite.com/products/42 are actually static html files Whereas other URLs are dynamically generated, like mysite.com/cart Both mysite.com and www.mysite.com are pointing to the same place. However I want to redirect all of the traffic from mysite.com to www.mysite.com. I'm so close but I'm running into an issue where Apache is adding .html to the end of my URLs for anything where a static .html file exists - which I don't want. I want to redirect this: http://mysite.com/products/42 To this: http://www.mysite.com/products/42 But Apache is making it this, instead (because 42.html is an actual html file): http://www.mysite.com/products/42.html I don't want that - I want it to redirect to www.mysite.com/products/42 Here's what I started with: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mysite.com/$1 [R=301,L] I tried making the parameters and the .html optional, but the .html is still getting added on the redirect: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)?(\.html)?$ http://www.mysite.com/$1 [R=301,L] What am I doing wrong? Really appreciate it :)

    Hi folks I am a complete novice to Flash (never created anything in flash). I am quite familiar with web applications (J2EE based) and have a reasonable expertise in Javascript. Here is my requirement. I want the user to select (via an html form) an image. Normally in the post, this image would be sent to server and may be stored there to be served later. I do not want that. I want to store this image locally and then serve it via HTTP to the user. So, the flow is: 1. Go to the "select image url":mywebsite.com/selectImage Browse the image and select the image This would transfer control locally to some code running on the client (Javascript or flash), which would then store the image locally at some place on the client machine. Go to the "show image url": mywebsite.com/showImage This would eventually result in some client code running on the browser that retrieves the image and renders it (without any server round trips.) I considered the following options: Use HTML5 local storage. Since I am a complete novice to flash, I looked into this. I found that it is fairly straightforward to store and retrieve images in javascript (only strings are allowed but I am hoping storing base64 encoded strings would work at least for small images). However, how do I serve the image via http url that points to my server without a server round trip? I saw the interesting article at http://hacks.mozilla.org/category/fileapi/ but that would work only in firefox and I need to work on all latest browsers (at least the ones supporting HTML5 local storage) Use flash SharedObjects. OK, this would have been good - the only thing is I am not sure where to start. Snippets of actionscripts to do this are scattered everywhere but I do not know how to use those scripts in an actual html page:) I do not need to create any movies or anything - just need to store an image and serve it locally. If I go this route, I would also use it to store other "strings" locally. If you suggest this, please give me the exact steps (could be pointers to other web sites) on how to do this. I would like to avoid paying for any flash development environment software ideally:) Thank you!

(I do not mean the Info.plist of the app - here must be a central file for such settings like keychain-2.db for passes and stuff) I got some very confusing behavior of an app that was compiled installed with different settings in the Info.plist for the file type (UTI) association and I would like to check if there is some trash (old settings) left from previous versions.     I have a page with a ASP.NET DropDownBox control (HTML select) that's populated with some dynamic record values. When the user selects a record the entire contents of the page is updated to reflect the selection. If a user clicks a link and leaves the page and tries to go back, it pulls up the default unselected list, and they have to reselect it again. How would be the best way to retain their selection? I currently have the page set so if the url contains PageName.aspx?recordID=5 it will select the correct dropDown option. However I'm not sure how to change the URL's query string based on the selection.

  • Make a shortcode echo in the middle of an URL in HREF

    The shortcode [mmjs-city] echoes the city the user is in. I want to make a link that takes the user to a results page with the user's city as search term. Basically the URL should be the results page URL + the result of the shortcode (the city). I tried to write it this way: Search for your city Normally I would just use PHP and assign the city to a value but I'm in a page not the theme and PHP doesn't work on pages for some reason, most likely It's possible but I don't know how.   • Reading html with accented characters from a URL on iPhone

    Hello, I'm having trouble extracting the html from a website which contains accented characters. Specifically, there are French characters on the site. Currently I'm using: NSString* html= [NSString stringWithContentsOfURL: [NSURL URLWithString: url] usedEncoding: &enc error:&error]; to get html from a URL. It works perfectly fine for any sites which are all English, but with a mostly English site with French characters it returns nothing. I've tried a few different types of encoding, but none have worked for me. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    This is maybe a simple syntax question or possibly a best-practices question in terms of codeigniter. I should start by saying I'm not a PHP or Codeigniter person so trying to get up to speed on helping on a project. I've found the CI documentation fairly good. The one question I can't find an answer to is how to make part of a URL optional. An example the CI documentation uses is this: example.com/index.php/products/shoes/sandals/123 and then the function used to parse the URI: function shoes($sandals, $id) For my example, I'd like to be able to modify the URL as such: example.com/index.php/products/shoes/all So, if no ID is passed, it's just ignored. Can that be done? Should that be done? A second question unrelated to my problem but pertaining to the example above, why would the variable $sandals be used as in the example, the value is 'sandals'? Shouldn't that variable be something like $shoetype?

    I would need to create a php file that will do some work on my webserver and that will be called from a program on another server over the internet. Suppose the php file that will do the work is located at www.example.com/work.php What is the best way to protect unsollicited calls to the www.example.com/work.php? What I need is some mechanism so that when the intended program accesses the url (with some query string parameters), the work gets done, but if somebody type www.example.com/work.php in their browser, access will be denied and no work will be done. The way I've thought is to add some 'token' in the querystring that would be constructed by some algorithm from the calling program, a sample result could be to append to the url : ?key=randomKeyAtEachCall&token=SomeHexadecimalResultCalculatedFromTheKey and the key and token would be validated with a reverse algorithm on the php side. Is that safe, Are there any better idea?

    Hi, I have an requirement that, in my application on clicking an button i have to laod one more application with the same template which i was using for my application. So, on clicking the button in my application i have used one intermediate page in that using iframe i passed that URL of an external application. Its working fine. But the problem is in the external applicatio which is not in my control on clicking an button it is moving to next page. In that page i want to hide an button. I did that also using div tag color as white and set the positions. But the problem is in all the pages in the same position that is affecting. So i want to get the url of the page which is loading in the iframe on the second or third click of an external application, so that i can using some conditions i can hide the control. So please any one help me to get the solution for this problem
