  • Equivalent of libwww-perl in .NET or Java

    I have written a crawler in Perl awhile back and it was super simple giving the high-level capability of libwww-perl. It is so straight forward in fact, it can take the raw HTML response of one request, and create the next HTTP request for you from the FORMs on that page (as in it will parse the HTML for you). Does anyone know any library like this on .NET or Java? Selenium is out of question because it requires the browser to be open, which we cannot accommodate in our implementation)

    I am reading the "Device Support - Setting Required Hardware Capabilities" on http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/AdvancedFeatures/AdvancedFeatures.html I want to add still-camera capability by doing the following: Open my Info.plist Click + Add UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities on the Key column Add still-camera on the Value column Save the updated Info.plist Is this the correct way?     I have a RichTextBox and need to serialize its content to my database purely for storage purposes. It would appear that I have a choice between serializing as XAML or as RTF, and am wondering if there are any advantages to serializing to XAML over RTF, which I would consider as more "standard". In particular, am I losing any capability by serializing to RTF instead of XAML? I understand XAML supports custom classes inside the FlowDocument, but I'm not currently using any custom classes (though the potential for extensibility might be enough reason to use XAML).

  • How to parameterize @Scheduled(fixedDelay) with Spring 3.0 expression language?

    When using the Spring 3.0 capability to annotate the a scheduled task, I would like to set the fixedDelay as parameter from my configuration file, instead of hard-wiring it into my task class, like currently... @Scheduled(fixedDelay=5000) public void readLog() { ... } Unfortunately it seems that with the means of the Spring Expression Language (EL) @Value returns a String object which in turn is not able to be auto-boxed to a long value as required by the fixedDelay parameter. Note: I know this question has already been asked regarding previous handset versions but I am specifically asking about the 3GS where this functionality seems more plausible.     Is there a way to manage the window z-ordering of JDialog windows within java? I would like to able to assign each window to a layer such that windows on lower layers can never go above and obscure windows on higher layers. Even when they have focus. Similar to the Z-order capability that exists for components but for JDialog windows. The solution does not need to work across all OSes. A linux specific solution is acceptable.

    I did some research on Google but I couldn't find any HTML5 browser for Windows Mobile 6. The main resource I'm looking for in HTML5 is WebDatabase and/or localStorage. With a little research I found Iris (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-iris-browser.html), a Webkit based browser with some HTML5 features, but localStorage and Web Database doesn't work on it. Does anyone know any browser with storage capability for Windows Mobile 6?

  • Can Apache httpd be made to log errors to console instead of log files under Windows?

    I'm doing infrequent development with Apache/PHP on my Windows machine so I've opted to run apache as a console process instead of a service. It would be nice if errors could be logged to the console window instead of a logfile so I can see them immediately. Can this be done somehow? It doesn't seem that apache has such a capability built in and I can't find a mod that would do this either.

    Hi All, I want an Open File Dialog with *.class ,*.jar filters. I want that *.jar files will be treated as folders (pressing OK or double-click should display the jar file content [ *.class] ). This capability is very similar to the TotalCommander archive plugin that let you browse inside archive files in-place (without the need to extract them, etc...) Any ideas how it could be done?     Hello, I wanted to open up the topic to discuss ways to encourage or incentivize users to fill in information in a user profile on a website, such as skills, location, organization, etc. More information in a user profile can give a website an improved capability for its users to search, network, and collaborate. Based on the documentation, the "bnlearn" package does not provide for such capability. In addition, is anyone aware of R packages that allow for making inferences and sensitivity analysis for BBN?   • SDL_GL_SwapBuffers Segfault

    I'm getting a segfault that GDB says is coming from SDL_GL_SwapBuffers. However, I can't imagine why. The SDL documentation mentions no specific pre-conditions for calling swapBuffers except that double buffering be allowed. Is this an option I have to turn on while initializing OpenGL or is this a hardware capability thing? My code: http://pastie.org/859721 (Ignore the unused variables, strange comments and other things. I haven't prettied this up at all. :P)
