  • Channel Audio from .mp4?

    Hi there. I am at a loss here after searching around with no results. I am attempting to channel the audio specifically from an .mp4 for use in a driver. I am aware that there are programs which extract the audio from .mp4's, but I am looking for another approach without using external applications such as those.. is there any direction that someone can point me towards to solve this problem?   • Use only alpha channel of texture in OpenGL?

    Hey, I'm trying to draw a constant color to the framebuffer and blend it using the alpha channel from an RGBA texture. I've been looking at glBlendFunc and glBlendColor, but can't seem to figure out a way to ignore the RGB values from the texture. I'm thinking I'll have to pull out the alpha values myself and make a second texture with GL_ALPHA. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks!

The problem is that i would like to use the MySQL module and push data to a channel each time a row is inserted into a table. I've tried to setup a server side module, i created an SQL query but data is fetched only when the server boots. How can i make this work?

  • Asterisk TDM Out Channel Not Recording

    I am trying to use the monitor command to record a TDM extension, but only the in chnnnel is being recorded. The out channel is 44 bytes and obviously no audio within. However, when monitoring a SIP or IAX phone, no problems exist. Is there some configuration I'm missing for distinguishing between TDM and SIP/IAX for recording? Thanks in advance!

    Hi, I have devloped an application which connects the database thrugh WCF + LINQ. I am able invoke the service from my asp.net application successfuly. But the problem here is that, when i navigate from end to end in my application almost after four or five clicks, i am getting the late response and says channel timed out error.   • SetPixelFormat is not creating an alpha channel for OpenGL

    I've been able to do this before, and I don't know what changed between two weeks ago and the last windows update, but for some reason SetPixelFormat isn't creating an alpha channel. gDebugger shows that the window's back buffer only has 3 channels. White+0 alpha renders as white. So there is something inherently wrong with what I was doing, or an update broke it.   • Adding audio channel using ffmpeg

    Hi all, I am working on ffmpeg and trying to add a audio stream on the fly. I am using AudioQueues and I get raw audio buffer. I am encoding audio with linear PCM and hence the audio I get will be of raw format, which I know ffmpeg does accept it. But I cannot figure out how. I have looked into AVStream, where in we have to create a new stream for this audio channel but how do I encode it to a video which is already initialized in another AVStream structure. Overall, I would like to have an idea of the architecture of ffmpeg. I found it difficult to work since it is least documented. Any pointers or details are appreciated.   • JPEG image with alpha channel on website

    I would like to make a JPEG image file with some pixels that are partially transparent or fully transparent, similar to a PNG file with an alpha channel. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about doing this? I would like to use the image on a website. If I try to do this, would it work in any or all of the popular browsers (IE 7+, Firefox, Safari)? Assuming it is possible, will it just work, or are there any tricks or hacks required to make it work?

  • Conventions for the behavior of double or triple "click to select text" features?

    Almost any mature program that involves text implements "double click to select the word" and, in some cases, "triple click to select additional stuff like an entire line" as a feature. I find these features useful but they are often inconsistent between programs. Example - some programs' double clicks do not select the ending space after a word, but most do. Some recognize the - character as the end of a word, others do not. SO likes to select the entire paragraph as I write this post when I triple click it, VS web developer 2005 has no triple click support, and ultra-edit 32 will select one line upon triple clicking. We could come up with innumerable inconsistencies about how double and triple click pattern matching is implemented across programs. I am concerned about how to implement this behavior in my program if nobody else has achieved a convention about how the pattern matching should work. My question is, does a convention (conventions? maybe an MS or Linux convention?) exist that dictates how these features are supposed to behave to the end user? What, if any, are they?

  • Writing to a java socket channel which should be closed does not generate an exception

    Hi all, We have a java server that keeps a socket channel open with an Android client in order to provide push capabilities to our client application. However, after putting the Android in airplane mode, which I expected would sever the connection, the server can still write to the SocketChannel object associated with that Android client and no error is thrown. Calling SocketChannel.isConnected() before writing to it returns true. What are we missing? Is the handling of sockets different with mobile devices? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Resizing an image with alpha channel

    I am writing some code to generate images - essentially I have a source image that is large and includes transparent regions. I use GDI+ to open that image and add additional objects. What I want to do next is to save this new image much smaller, so I used the Bitmap constructor that takes a source Image object and a height and width, then saved that. I was expecting the alpha channel to be smoothed like the color channels, but this did not happen -- it did result in a couple of semitransparent pixels, but overall it is very blocky. What gives?     I'm writing an application server that will receive SIP and DNS messages from the network. When I receive a message from the network, I understand from the documentation that at first, I get a ChannelBuffer. I would like to determine which kind of message has been received (SIP or DNS) and to decode it. To determine the message type, I can dedicate port to each type of message, but I would be interested to know if there exist another solution for that. My question is more about how to decode the ChannelBuffer. Is there a ChannelHandler provided by Netty to decode SIP or DNS messages? If not, what would be the right place in the type hierarchy to write my custom ChannelHandler? To illustrate my question, let's take as example the HttpRequestDecoder, the hierarchy is: java.lang.Object org.jboss.netty.channel.SimpleChannelUpstreamHandler org.jboss.netty.handler.codec.frame.FrameDecoder org.jboss.netty.handler.codec.replay.ReplayingDecoder<HttpMessageDecoder.State> org.jboss.netty.handler.codec.http.HttpMessageDecoder org.jboss.netty.handler.codec.http.HttpRequestDecoder Also, do I need to use two different ChannelHandler for decoding and encoding, or is there a possibility to use a single ChannelHandler for both?   • How to specify MQ channel table location for .net web application using web.config

    I've been going around in circles for a while on this one now. I'm trying to connect to a distributed queue manager using a supplied channel table file. I can get this to work if I specify the environmental variable MQCHLLIB and MQCHLTAB on my server. However the IBM documentation states that the .net config file can override these variables. Here is what I have placed in my web.config file: ... <configSections> <section name="CHANNELS" type="System.Configuration.NameValueSectionHandler" /> </configSections> <CHANNELS> <add key="ChannelDefinitionDirectory" value="C:\temp"></add> <add key="ChannelDefinitionFile" value="DSM_MOM_TEST.tab"></add> </CHANNELS> ... And here is the code that is executing: Hashtable properties = new Hashtable(); //Add managed connection type to parameters. const String connectionType = MQC.TRANSPORT_MQSERIES_CLIENT; properties.Add(MQC.TRANSPORT_PROPERTY, connectionType); return new MQQueueManager(queueManagerName, properties); queueManagerName is set to the generic queue manager "*Q101T". However this isn't working and I get an error returned: 2058 MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR I've been unable to find any more documentation on how to get this to work other than the environmental variables and the standard mqclient.ini should be overriden by the channels stanza in the web.config. Is there something that I've missed in the code? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
