  • Dismissable banner in Android

    I would like to show a banner in an Android activity. The banner should be: Aligned at the bottom of the layout Take all the width and have relative height (say 100dip) Be dismissable When dismissed the rest of the layout should strech to fill the area that was occupied by the banner.   • Android & Google Maps - close info window with back button

    I have an activity that holds a fragment with Google Map view in it. App adds several dozens of markers to the MapView, using MarkerManager and ClusterRenderer to form clusters. The problem is that when I have marker's InfoWindow opened and I press hardware Back button, it closes the app. Instead of that, I would like to have the InfoWindow closed. Is there any straightforward way to achieve this?

In IE8 its false for some reason and therefore it does not put the OnChange javascript event on the input tag. Has anyone seen anything like this before? we are using Freemarker 2.3.9 Update, it kinda works if i turn compatibility mode on for IE8. but not exactly. when i do that, the onchange event doesn't fire until the check box loses focus. which is very different than everything else. Is there a quick way to fix this without too much trouble? i suppose i could put something in that says if ie8, insert onclick instead of onchange. that may work, but i would need an authorization from the client to fix it like that.

  • Can I update an Android provider.Settings.System value?

    I can read settings like this, for example: final String mytest = System.getString(this.getContentResolver(), System.AIRPLANE_MODE_ON); ...but can't seem to write to settings using putString, no matter what I've tried. Maybe it is the scope of this.getContentResolver()??? I'm a newbie, so who knows, maybe it can't be done, or it's just syntax? Currently the code is in the onCreate of an Activity class. Any insight is much appreciated.

Now i want to show my string in both languages in a single activity. I don't want to change phone Locale or call Locale.setDefault("ko") I am trying to call following line but it is not working for me. getString(R.string.mystring, Locale.KOREAN); (My default language is English) Please help

    i am trying to use viewpager from android support library v4 in intelli j currently i have android sdk 4.1 I copied android-support-v4.jar to my intellij android project under 'libs' in the project settings of intellij I webt to "Modules" = "MyModuleName" = dependencies tab, and add the android-support-v4.jar, by navigating the path to the libs/ folder under my own project I checked the 'export' besides this newly added jar file but i still can't use viewpager in my application i get a crash msg like java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.xxxx/com.xxxx.MyActivity}: android.view.InflateException: Binary XML file line #13: Error inflating class android.support.v4.view.ViewPager

    Hi there, Are there any build in UI capabilities when using Windows Workflow.. Lets say I have a workflow that takes an hour to run where different activities are happening all the time. While it's running I want to see what activity is currently active, what activities have already ran etc.. Do I have to code this UI myself or does WF have built in features that graphically show the status etc of the workflow?

    I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..). If a short message notification is clicked Logcat reveals the following: INFO/ActivityManager(31909): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=content://mms-sms/conversations/3 flg=0x34000000 cmp=com.android.mms/.ui.ConversationList bnds=[0,586][600,682] } This brought me a little bit further using content://mms-sms/conversations/3 as the data starts up the messages app in the correct conversation. I now only need to find out which conversation a message belongs to.

I have a ROXML object that looks like: class Activity include ROXML xml_accessor :id end If I have an array of these objects and call .to_xml on the array, I receive an empty xml collection: "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n<activities type=\"array\">\n</activities>\n" Any idea why or how to fix this?
