• Jqgrid Modal Popup Problem

  Hello all, I've placed two jqgrid fully customizable tables with add, delete, ...etc buttons. Everything works perfect for the first table. But I've problems with the second table. When i click for instance to delete button, the modal confirmation popup doesn't appear at the right location. It appears outside the visible area and i can only see it when i zoom out only. How can i fix this problem? Is there a way to determine the place of the modal popup of jqgrid or can i disable the confirmation popup after the delete button is pressed. Thanx to all

• Is KCFinder a legal alternative to CKFinder

  On the one hand there is http://ckfinder.com/ CKFinder or the people behind it have always been very vague about their licenses when we asked information about them, so we aren't really fond of using their commercially licensed products. So I've looked for an alternative and found http://kcfinder.sunhater.com which comes with an LGPL license, perfect for use in a commercial application that just wants to use the file browser and not modify it. Now they both look very similar and my question is: is KCfinder a legal alternative to CKfinder? Or is it an exact and modified copy? Does anyone know this or can find this out?

  I was evaluating jQuery plugins to make a Drupal 7 site using AJAX everywhere. I have been using ajaxy. But it does not seem to be very actively maintained. Two possible solutions I have found are pjax and djax. What are your experiences with those plugins? What other plugins do you know that do similar functionality? Very important features are SEO friendliness (preferably using pushState so no hash is being used. Hashes are used as a fallback for not supported browsers.). And also has to be very flexible since it has to wirk with Drupal's HTML structure.

  Hi, I'm using an AJAX system on a web application, and for one of the objects i return, it needs to contain an xml fragment. Unfortunately, being AJAX, i'm sending the values back via XML already. So, at the moment, i have something that looks like this (ignoring the fact the tags arent perfect. <Transport> <Message> <Content><[CDATA...] XML Content in here </Cdata></Content> </Message> </Transport> This has worked pretty well for the last few years, however, now the XML content itself needs to contain its own CDATA tags and its causing me grief because you cannot nest CDATA sections. Is there another way to encode the 'XML Content' internally?

• Silverlight 4 application failing to build in Blend 4 Beta..

  Hi, I'm creating a simple silverlight application using Silverlight 4 and Expression Blend 4 Beta, but when I run the Application I get the following Error: C:\Users\WebDevelop1\Documents\Expression\Blend 4 Beta\Projects\SilverlightApplication1\SilverlightApplication1.sln.metaproj : error MSB4126: The specified solution configuration "Debug|HPD" is invalid. Please specify a valid solution configuration using the Configuration and Platform properties (e.g. MSBuild.exe Solution.sln /p:Configuration=Debug /p:Platform="Any CPU") or leave those properties blank to use the default solution configuration. Done building project "SilverlightApplication1.sln" -- FAILED. Build failed. I'm relatively new to silverlight and not really sure where to start. This has happened with every project I have created in Blend, but when I run it in VS2010 it runs perfect. Is this a known issue with the Beta release or am I possibly missing something? • Textbox OnTextChanged and Button Click Event Not Firing

  I have textboxes being generated by a repeater that use OnTextChanged with autopostback enabled so that I can know when when the values change. This all works perfect. The problem starts when I try to click on any buttons on the page. The loss of focus triggers the event for the OnTextChanged; however, the event for my buttons never get fired. I checked this in the debugger and while debugging if I put a break-point in the page_load it will call both; however, without the break-point it still only calls the OnTextChanged event. I found this post on JavaScript. If my problem is also JavaScript related, why does the clicking of the button fire in debug mode? Thanks.

  I have an website where people can place a vote like this: http://mysite.com/vote/25 This will place a vote on item 25. I want to only make this available for registered users, and only if they want to do this. Now I know when someone is busy on the website, and someone gives them a link like this: http://mysite.com/vote/30 then the vote will be places for him on the item without him wanting to do this. I have read the explanation on the OWASP website, but i don't really understand it Is this an example of CSFR, and how can I prevent this. The best thing i can think off is adding something to the link like a hash. But this will be quite irritating to put something on the end of all the links. Is there no other way of doing this. Another thing can someone maybe give me some other example of this, because the website seems fairly fugue to me.

  I am trying use a Java Uploader in a ROR app (for its ease of uploading entire directories). The selected uploader comes with some PHP code that saves the files to the server. I am trying to translate this code to Ruby, but am stumped on this point: PHP has a very convenient superglobal – $_FILES – that contains a hash of all files uploaded to the current script via the HTTP POST method. It appears Ruby does not have a similar resource. Lacking that, what is the best way to access and save the uploaded files? I am using the JavaPowUpload uploader ( http://www.element-it.com/OnlineHelpJavaPowUpload/index.html ).

• AJAX POST problems with CKFinder

  We're using CKFinder for one of our sites, which has been working fine for us until we moved to a new dedicated server (which is similar but not exactly the same as the old server). Now we cant upload, the AJAX request simply never finishes. From monitoring it in Firebug it attempts to POST to here: http://www.site.com/temp/ckfinder/core/connector/php/connector.php?command=FileUpload&type=Files&currentFolder=%2F&hash=4f9cdbbb1e295966&langCode=en&= but never gets a response. This is the same CKFinder install on both WIMP servers, one works fine one doesnt. any idea where we should be looking to fix this problem? php.ini maybe? any help would be great as we havent a clue at this stage.   I'm working on an embedded project that has no file system, and our kludge of a database has ballooned in functionality. It's now so inefficient, we can't stand it any longer. I'm trying to figure out if there's built-in support for a flat file system in SQLite. I've dug around http://sqlite.org for a while now, but haven't found anything specifically covering it. Has anyone found a supported implementation written in C? It seems like such a straightforward request, but I can't find anything written about it. We have plenty of memory available. In a perfect world, I'd like to just set aside a large portion of it, pass the FS a pointer, then let the FS/SQLite library just use what it wants.

The color parameter does not apply with transparent images. From documentation, so, here is my code: { ... color: "black", swap: false } It works perfect, with '#000' against 'black' it works too... But if I need shadow color, for example, red '#fff000' plugin doesn't work. I don't see any shadow. Why?

  I am trying to understand Adaboost algorithm but i have some troubles. After reading about Adaboost i realized that it is a classification algorithm(somehow like neural network). But i could not know how the weak classifiers are chosen (i think they are haar-like features for face detection) and how finally the H result which is the final strong classifier can be used. I mean if i found the alpha values and compute the H ,how am i going to benefit from it as a value (one or zero) for new images. Please is there an example describes it in a perfect way? i found the plus and minus example that is found in most adaboost tutorials but i did not know how exactly hi is chosen and how to adopt the same concept on face detection. I read many papers and i had many ideas but until now my ideas are not well arranged. Thanks....

• How to Prevent SelectionChange a Silverlight DataGrid

  I'm using a Silverlight 3 DataGrid control and have set the SelectionMode to Extended. The DataGrid takes care of managing the extended selection for me in an almost perfect manner out of the box, but a key piece of the logic is interfering with me. I have a cell that can function as a drag and drop thumb and initiate a drag operation but users want to do a series of shift or control clicks to set a selection followed by a click and drag on one of the selected rows to initiate the drag. The problem is that the click and drag at the end of this series causes the selection to be set to only the row that was clicked. I've poked around for ways of conditionally preventing the DataGrid from changing selection, but can't seem to find anything that works. Does anyone have any ideas for preventing selection from changing?

  A form will be spitting out an unknown number of questions to be answered. each question contains a prompt, a value field, and a unit field. The form is built at runtime in the formclass's init method. I'd like each question rendered on the form as an inline: prompt, value(input-text), units (select). this seems a case perfect for iterable form fieldsets, which could be easily styled. but since fieldsets - such as those in django-form-utils are defined as tuples, they are immutable... and I can't find a way to define them at runtime. is this possible, or perhaps another solution?

WHY? AND CAN I DO IT ON FIRST CLICK? yes i know this already happening perfect if i put first code but i want it on my function.

  Hello, I am using sphinx as a search engine on my website its working perfect and I have no complain with it. The only thing it lacks is, it does not allow me to search articles whose query length is more than 15 words. I know in reality people don't use more than 3-4 words i want to use it for finding duplicate contents. I was wondering if there is any alternative solution to sphinx. I want to cope with duplicate contents. My main articles table is in innodb but I am also caching articles into MyISAM table as well for full text searching but when I search an article it takes ages to perform one search. Its not the query problem, i think mysql lacks the fulltext searching facility. Thanks Jason

• Android XMLRPC Fault Code

  Hey, We have been using XMLRPC for android and it was working well until we got our hands dirty with Base64 encoding for byte[] (images) -- (we did base64_string.replace("/","$$") for transmission). We have tried undoing the changes and its looking an XMLRPC error. We are getting the following error in the DDMS: 06-10 23:27:02.970: DEBUG/Test(343): org.xmlrpc.android.XMLRPCFault: XMLRPC Fault: [code 0] 06-10 23:27:02.970: DEBUG/Test(343): at org.xmlrpc.android.XMLRPCClient.callEx(XMLRPCClient.java:308) 06-10 23:27:02.970: DEBUG/Test(343): at org.xmlrpc.android.XMLRPCMethod.run(XMLRPCMethod.java:33) Just before this I checked the body (xml message -- which is perfect) and the response received: 06-10 23:27:02.940: INFO/System.out(343): Response received: org.apache.http.message.BasicHttpResponse@437762f8 Since it the message is not even reaching our cloud, the issue is with XMLRPC for android. It works great and have used it many times. the data is perfect, but doing it from inside my website would be better. Thanks

• OWC does not work with IE8

  Hi, I have a web page that is generated with Access 2003 and uses Office Web Components. It worked fine with IE6 and IE7 but does not work anymore with IE8. Here are more details. I create an MSODSC component and a WSH object to get my ConnectionString in the registry. Then the Dropdown Lists are fed by a request to the database. It works perfect with IE6 and IE7, works locally with IE8 but if the page is served by IIS to IE8, the drop down lists are empty. Can anyone help me ? Thanks Mactov

It works perfect when people logged it is its administrator or developer and it's not when isn casual user without any special role. We tried to submit our read.article action, but it was denied with that: The built-in read.article you submitted doesn't meet our requirements (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/actions/builtin/#read). Please make sure your users can remove articles they shared "within" your app on each page an article appears. Once you have made the appropriate changes please delete this action, create a new one, and submit it. As for that, our plugin users have the ability to delete their activity but Facebook doesn't allow us to make this plugin public. What should we do to make it work? Thanks a lot for your help!

Since the use of $a and $b is clearly not a typo in this case I want to get rid of the warning. How do I do that while still using warnings?
