What is wrong with this? is the only way to put html tag inside XMl file is to use CDATA?

• Using Facebook Connect with jQTouch?

  Hi, i'm starting a new jQTouch-project now and i'm thinking of using facebook connect to make it easier for users to register with my site. do anyone have any experience with this? I'm using the Facebook PHP SDK (from github), and i first tried to use it with the built in example, it worked good. i later tried it with jQTouch (the latest build from the SVN). when i create the log in/log out link inside a ul.roundedli element it does not work because jQTouch have some special function that handles links clicked inside a li-element. how can i go around this function and make it work with the connect-link, i'm using the display=touch version of the autentication dialog. when i add the link outside of the ul.roundedli-element it works in desktop safari but not in mobile safari. any ideas?

  I am doing my first steps with TDD. The problem is (as probably with everyone starting with TDD), I never know very well what kind of unit tests to do when I start working in my projects. Let's assume I want to write a Stack class with the following methods(I choose it as it's an easy example): Stack<T> - Push(element : T) - Pop() : T - Seek() : T - Count : int - IsEmpty : boolean How would you approch this? I never understood if the idea is to test a few corner cases for each method of the Stack class or start by doing a few "use cases" with the class, like adding 10 elements and removing them. What is the idea? To make code that uses the Stack as close as possible to what I'll use in my real code? Or just make simple "add one element" unit tests where I test if IsEmpty and Count were changed by adding that element? How am I supposed to start with this?

  I have a list that I need to parse where the all but the last element needs to be parsed by one parser, and the last element needs to be parsed by another parser. a = "p1 p1b ... p2" or a = "p2" Originally I tried parser = do parse1 <- many parser1 parse2 <- parser2 return AParse parse1 parse2 The problem is that parse1 can consume a parse2 input. So parse1 always consumes the entire list, and leave parse2 with nothing. Is there a way to say to apply parse1 to everything besides the last element in a string, and then apply parse2?

  In TFS 2008, I am trying to modify a build script (TFSBuild.proj). I get the following warning: The element 'PropertyGroup' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003' has invalid child element 'TeamProject' in namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003'. Which is correct, The element PropertyGroup does indeed have a child called TeamProject. I’m making an assumption that this is caused because of the following line: <Project DefaultTargets="DesktopBuild" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003" ToolsVersion="3.5"> The Xml Namespace doesn’t appear to exist as far as I can tell, although it looks like a standard one. Please can anyone tell me if this is a standard XML namespace, how or where I can view its contents and whether the warning that I am seeing may be caused by it?

  Is there any to specify a data refresh policy in Ehcache? I am currently migrating an application from OSCache to Ehcache and I can't seem to find any way to specify when an element needs refreshing, besides setting timeToIdle and timeToLive. What I want is: on accessing an element from the cache, check with it's associated resource to see if it was updated later than the lastUpdateTime of the cache element. If yes, refresh the cache; else serve the content from the cache. In OSCache this was done by catching NeedsRefreshExceptions and setting custom refresh policies for the elements. I've been digging around in the docs for a while now, but I wasn't able to find any methods or examples of how I could accomplish this in Ehcache. Any help would be appreciated :). Alex

  Hello, I've got an application and I would like to know if there's a way how to keep the whole visual element always visible. I thought that minWidth/minHeight will do that but it only changes the minimal size of the element but it doesn't enforces that the whole visual element is visible. I think what I need is minWidth from WinForms where it works exactly as I need. Example: Setting minWidth and minHeight for Window works but if I set minWidth for a StackPanel in Window the window can be resized so that the minWidth of StackPanel is ignored (actually the StackPanel has the requested size but it's hidden).   Hello, First of all sorry that I could not think of a more descriptive title. What I want to do is the following using only SQL: I have some lists of strings, list1, list2 and list3. I have a dataset that contains two interesting columns, A and B. Column A contains a TransactionID and column B contains an ItemID. Naturally, there can be multiple rows that share the same TransactionIDs. I need to catch those transactions that have at least one ItemID in each and every list (list1 AND list2 AND list3). I also need to count how many times does that happen for each transaction. [EDIT] That is, count how many full sets of ItemIDs there are for each TransactionID", "Full Set" being any element of the list1 with any element of the list2 with any element of the list3 I hope that makes enough sense, perhaps I will be able to explain it better with a clear head.   I've got a javascript function that gets called on change event of a select form element. So, the "this" variable in js refers to the select element. This select element is in a td tag, in a tr tag. The tr tag has a classname of "FilterDetailsRow". Now, I've tested, and if I use this syntax: var filterRow = $(this).parent().parent(); it gets me what I want. However, is there a better way to tell jQuery, "starting with "this" can you please go up my tree of parents until you find one with a classname of "FilterDetailsRow"?   I'm using google-collections and trying to find the first element that satisfies Predicate if not, return me 'null'. Unfortunately, Iterables.find and Iterators.find throws NoSuchElementException when no element is found. Now, I am forced to do Object found = null; if ( Iterators.any( newIterator(...) , my_predicate ) { found = Iterators.find( newIterator(...), my_predicate ) } I can surround by 'try/catch' and do the same thing but for my use-cases, I am going to encounter many cases where no-element is found. Is there a simpler way of doing this?

• jQuery droppable accordion

  I've been playing around with trying to create a droppable accordion for a little while, and haven't gotten it to be very responsive. When I drag an item over the accordion, it takes 5+ seconds for the accordion element to open (if it does at all). Sometimes I have to "wave" the dragged element over the accordion element. I know I read something a while back about event processing in javascript - something along the lines of the browser not always passing control to the javascript engine when you think it does, or something like that, resulting in weird timing. Has anyone else seen tried to do this before? Have you found jquery/javascript to be this slow? Do you have any references for how to get a responsive droppable accordion (the jQuery UI site doesn't seem to, and I didn't find anything on SO or Google). Thanks!

  The next, prev, nextAll and prevAll methods are very useful, but not if the elements you are trying to find are not in the same parent element. What I want to do is something like this: <div><span id="click">hello</span></div> <div><p class="find">world></p></div> When the span with the id "click" is pressed, I want to match the next element with the class "find", which in this case is not a sibling of the clicked element so next or nextAll won't work.

• What would make offsetParent null?

  I am trying to do positioning in JavaScript. I am using a cumulative position function based on the classic quirksmode function that sums offsetTop and offsetLeft for each offsetParent until the top node. However, I am running into an issue where the element I'm interested in has no offsetParent in Firefox. In IE offsetParent exists, but offsetTop and offsetLeft all sum up to 0, so it has the same problem in effect as in Firefox. What would cause an element that is clearly visible and usable on the screen to not have an offsetParent? Or, more practically, how can I find the position of this element in order to place a drop-down beneath it?

  Hi guys. Trying to fiddle around with regex here, my first attempt. Im trying to extract some figures out of content from an XML tag. The content looks like this: www.blahblah.se/maps.aspx?isAlert=true&lat=51.958855252721&lon=-0.517657021473527 I need to extract the lat and long numerical vales out of each link. They will always be the same amount of characters, and the lon may or may not have a "-" sign.   Is there a way to absolutely position an UI element on Android so that it is located outside an Activity? For example: can you create a fullscreen ImageView simply by moving/resizing an ImageView inside an existing regular Activity instead of creating a new fullscreen activity? EDIT: Re-reading my question I see I wasn't very clear about what I'm trying to accomplish. I'd like to temporarily extend an element to cover the notification bar at the top of the screen. I need to create a semitranslucent fullscreen overlay but since translucent activities cannot cover the notification bar I'm trying to find out if it's possible for an element to break out of activity's bounds and resize itself to fill the whole screen, top to bottom.

• jQuery: Preventing list scroll?

  I have this scenario: Using an ajax query I fetch some data items and push them into a ul element as an li element. I use $("ulele").append(new_li_item). I wrote my own custom scroll for this ul element using the following whenever an event is detected: $("ulele").animate({scrollTop: '+=' + 200}, 'slow'); The problem is when I fire that event and the list scrolls due to the animate function above, I want to keep it stable for at least a few seconds. When it scrolls down, elements are still being pushed so the list keeps scrolling no matter what. Is there a way I can pause this from happening without really stopping the activity of pushing elements into the ul list?
