  • Is there a good in-browser code editor?

    We've all seen in-browser rich text editors, which allow you to edit colored/styled text in a WYSIWYG manner. But what about code editors, which automatically highlight code based on language rules as you type? Think Eclipse in a textarea (but without the refactoring support). Do such things exist? I imagine scaling would be a problem - larger files would be difficult to edit efficiently.

  • How to set clickable and highlightable a View?

    I have ViewStubs in my layout. If I set clickable and implement the OnClickListener this does work only on the root of the element. But the layout holds parent elements, and when I click on those the click is not recognized. How do I make a full row/view of ViewStub as whole to be clickable and highlightable like a ListView elements? Also what do I have to add to get that orange highlight?

  • Why is "int + string" possible in statically-typed C# but not in dynamically-typed Python?

    While studying C# I found it really strange, that dynamically typed Python will rise an error in the following code: i = 5 print i + " " whereas statically typed C# will normally proceed the similar code: int i = 5; Console.Write(i + " "); I would expect other way around (in python I would be able to do this without any casting, but C# would require me to cast int to string or string to int). Just to highlight, I am not asking what language is better, I am curious what was the reason behind implementing the language this way.

  • Match multiple terms within <body> tags

    I've want to match any occurrence of a search term (or list of search terms) within the tags of a document. My current solution uses preg (within a Joomla plugin) $pattern = '/matchthisterm/i'; $article->text = preg_replace($pattern,"<span class=\"highlight\">\\0</span>",$article->text); But this replaces everything within the HTML of the document so I need to match the tags first. Is this even the best way to achieve this?

  • jquery mouseover animation jumping

    Hi all, I have a table which is looped in <li>. On mouseover each row, there will be a border shown, and the row id="resFunc" will be displayed. However, in IE, the animation jumps up and down. Anyone has similar experience or solution to solve this?     using jquery date picker you can render specific cells the way you want. (in my case i have a list of dates that i want to highlight as they are important days) i see that datepicker itself supports this here: http://www.kelvinluck.com/assets/jquery/datePicker/v2/demo/renderCalendarCallback.html but i dont see the multimonth implementation having an option for renderingcustomDates http://www.kelvinluck.com/assets/jquery/datePicker/v2/demo/datePickerMultiMonth3.html was this missed out in the implementation to expose this functionality?

    Hello, I'm generating some content through an API, accessed by javascript, and I cannot grab the source code of what is plainly displayed, post-load, on the browser. I can highlight the text and view the source of selected text (which is a firefox feature), but I will be using CURL to capture the data automatically with php... How can I capture the data? Is there a way to update the source(maybe through a DOM update) so it displays some how? Any help is appreciated.

  • How can I change the color of build output in a shell window?

    I have a build process which runs from a batch file. It produces a large volume of text. Sometimes it prints the word "Error" or "Warning" followed by a message. The errors and warnings are getting lost among a sea of text. Can I highlight those words in a different color, maybe in a dos window, or a cygwin shell window, possibly by piping them through some string manipulation program before posting them to the screen?     Am adding to a sortable list using Ajax, and to get the Scriptaculous effects to kick in after the add, the only way I have found is by re-executing sortable_element.
