• Djangobb problem

  I've installed Djangobb app on my server (Debian, mod_python) by cloning original source. The only things I've changed is database options in settings.py. All needed components are installed - syncdb query was executed right. But, when I'm trying to enter on my forum, it returns me error: ImproperlyConfigured: Error importing middleware django_authopenid.middleware: "No module named djangobb_forum.subscription" I've checked - djangobb_forum/subscription.py exist, so I don't know what can be wrong. Maybe someone had problems like that and know how to fix it? Sorry for my english.

• Working with EnumSet class in GWT

  I am having trouble using EnumSet on the client side. I get this runtime error message: java.util.EnumSet.EnumSetImpl is not default instantiable (it must have a zero-argument constructor or no constructors at all) and has no custom serializer. Is this is a known issue? • Persisting a single UISearchBar instance across 4 separate UITableViews

  Hi fellas, I'm in the midst of an iPhone app that needs to have 4 separate UITableView objects sharing access to one UISearchBar in the first section and first row of the aforementioned UITableView objects. I have tried to offset the UITableView's frame by 44 pixels, then adding the search bar as a subview of my UIViewController's view. That works, but I cannot use the table index to scroll up to the search bar, since it is not a cell in the tableview. I need to have the search bar in the table view itself. My goal is to have the same UISearchBar in the first section of multiple tableviews. Thanks so much.

• Iphone - Displaying NSDate values in the debugger with local timezone

  Hello, I'm trying to debug my app and there is something very annoying in the debugger : all the NSDate values are displayed in the GMT timezone. So in my debugging process, I lose a lot of time converting by myself all the displayed dates to check if they are correct in the system timezone. As I have a lot of dates at midnight, even the day is displayed "wrong". It's a nightmare. Is there a way to make the debugger display the NSDate values in the iPhone system timezone (not the MacOS one nor GMT) ? I'm at GMT+1 Thank you for your help.

• Tomcat myfaces dynamic source files

  Hi, I'm going to try and make as much sense as possible here. We are working on a myfaces 2 app in tomcat. On our local dev machines, whenever we want to change one of our xhtml files, we have to stop the server, deploy and then start the server back up. This is cumbersome and makes making small changes to the view tedious. I tried changing the deployed xhtml file in tomcat, but the server only picks up the new change after a restart. Is there any type of config in myfaces or tomcat I can do to force the rebuilding of these source xhtml's every time?

  I am trying to learn Xcode by making a simple app. But I been looking on the net for hours (days) and I cant figure it out how I make a button that open a UIWebView in another ViewController :S first let me show you some code that I have ready: I have a few Buttons om my main Storyboard that each are title some country codes like UK, CA and DK.   hello, i have a mini app where users can login, view their profile, and follow each other. • Function testing on Netbeans 6.8

  While not a torrent, but some articles can be found on the net about function testing (particularly http://blogs.sun.com/geertjan/entry/gui_testing_on_the_netbeans). However the tools mentioned by them do not seem to be maintained, or don't have a plugin working with the most recent version of Netbeans (6.8). Do you have any function test setup for GUI? What is your level of integration into the development process (IDE integration, ant, etc). Additional candy is that Netbeans is not only the IDE, but the GUI app is also developed for Netbeans 6.8 Platform (so I'm mainly interested in GUI testing NB-platform apps, but tips for any Swing apps in general would be a help too).

• Create a view like Tweetie's User Profile view

  Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea on how you can create a view that looks like the user profile view in apps like Tweetie, where there are seemingly multiple tables with a couple of normal (straight up and down tables) and then two rows of six cells, which in Tweeties case have the number of followers, following etc. I'm trying to make a similar view for my app, but can't seem to find out the best way to create it. • Garbage Collection leak? Scripting Bridge leak?

  Hello everyone! I'm always really picky about memory leaks and I cannot understand why my garbage collected application leaks. My code is entirely memory-managed and it runs great without garbage collection, not a single leak. However, as soon as I turn on garbage collection it leaks! Just to prove a point, why does this leak in a garbage collected app? (place this dummy code at applicationDidFinishLaunching:) NSOpenPanel *panel = [NSOpenPanel openPanel]; [panel beginSheetModalForWindow:window completionHandler:^(NSInteger result) {NSBeep();}]; Also, is there a way to prevent leaks in apps (garbage collected or otherwise) that use Scripting Bridge? it seems as if they all leak, even the sample ones in xcode. • Unknown error when creating packages with pkgbuild

  I followed several tutorials-which all appeared to say the same thing-on how to create deployable flat-packages (.pkg) using the OS X system provided pkgbuild tool. The packages was always generated just fine. They did, however, not want to be installed. Running the graphical Apple Installer or the command line interface installer aborted the installation early on giving an generic “Unknown error” after prompting for higher permissions. Hours later after closer investigation I discovered that I could not install other packages either. Not even updates and new installations from the OS X App Store. Why could I not install my own nor any other packages? What was going on?

  So according to Sun's J2EE documentation (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3669/bnani?l=en&a=view), "If a tag attribute is not required, a tag handler should provide a default value." My question is how in the hell do I define a default value as per the documentation's description. Here's the code: <%@ attribute name="visible" required="false" type="java.lang.Boolean" %> <c:if test="${visible}"> My Tag Contents Here </c:if> Obviously, this tag won't compile because it's lacking the tag directive and the core library import. My point is that I want the "visible" property to default to TRUE. The "tag attribute is not required," so the "tag handler should provide a default value." I want to provide a default value, so what am I missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  My Question: How do you get the filepath to the current wallpaper? Expansion: I'm writing an app that will let you change the wallpaper easily between different presets. I want to store the filepath of the available wallpapers in my database. What I've tried: WallpaperManger.getWallpaperInfo() or WallpaperManger.getDrawable(). • Sharing [config] data across modules,functions

  I have some configuration data in a config file that I read off disk when the app starts. I need to make that configuration data available to other functions/modules in the application. I started down the path of looking into ets/mnesia to store the data on startup to make it shared among all processes, but then my inner voice cautioned me that there must be a more functional, erlang-y way to do this. The only alternate approach I've come up with so far is setting up a module that has an actor loop that reads the data on startup and responds to messages like {Key, From} and responds by From ! {ok,Value}. • How is application virtualization implemented?

  I am trying to understand how software like App-V and sandboxie (http://www.sandboxie.com/) work. But for the life of me, I can't think of anything that could make this possible. How do they intercept API calls and trick the target software? If someone would say that it's just magic and pixie dust, I would believe them. Seriously though, are there any white papers that discuss solutions to this problem? If this is possible on the CLR level then that would be good but I'm willing to go native if I have to.

• Serving GZipped files from s3 using the Asset Pipeline

  I have a Rails 3.2.3 app on Heroku and I'm using the asset_sync gem to serve my assets from s3, via these instructions. It works great, except s3 is not serving up the gzipped css/js files (just the uncompressed version). I've enabled gzip compression, to no avail: config.gzip_compression = true According to Using GZIP with html pages served from Amazon S3 I need to add meta-data to the s3 object for uploading. How would I do this in concert with the Asset Pipeline? Thank you for any help.

• Remove year component from NSDateFormatter style

  I would like to present a date in the kCFDateFormatterFullStyle, but without the year. Is there any way to remove the year component from this style? My app requires localization so practically I cannot programmatically set the format string for all locales. I have come accross a solution which removes the "y" characters from the format string returned by the built in styles. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable as the year components are not represented by "y" in some other languages like Japanese. Any suggestions to get the kCFDateFormatterFullStyle without the year would be great! Thanks.

• Java Spring 3.0 MVC Annotation vs COC. Whats the prefered method in the Java community?

  I am using Spring's MVC framework for an application I'm hosting on Google's App Engine. So far, my controllers are registered via the @Controller annotation; however, prior to getting into Spring, I evaluated ASP.net MVC 2 which requires no configuration and is based on convention. Is convention over configuration (COC) the current and preferred method in the Java community to implement MVC with Spring. Also, this may be a result of my limited knowledge so far but i noticed that i could only instantiate my Controllers the required constuctor injection if i use the COC method via the ControllerClassNameHandlerMapping. For instance the following controller bean config will fail if i use the defaultannotationhandlermapping. My com.domain.TestController controller works fine if i use ControllerClassNameHandlerMapping/COC but it results in an error when i use defaultannotationhandlermapping/Annotations.

• CALayer: callback when animation ends?

  Hi All, I have been running into some issues with animating multiple CALayers at the same time, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. My app contains an array of CALayer. The position of each layer is set to (previousLayer.position.y + previousLayer.bounds.height), which basically lays them out similar to a table. I then have a method that, every-time it is called, adds a new layer to the stack and sets its Y position is set to 0. The Y positions of all other layers in the array are then offset by the height of the new layer (essentially pushing all old layers down). What I am having problems with is preventing the adding of new layers until the previous animation has completed. Is there a way to tell when an implicit animation has finished? Or alternatively, if I use CABasicAnimation and animationDidFinish, is there a way to tell which object finished animating when animationDidFinish is called?

• Any foundation to administrate an Android open source application?

  Our open source application is quite popular, and we are many developers. The app uses my Android Market account, and I shared the keys with a developer. But if both of us disappear, the application's Market account will be lost, and all users trapped. Giving the keys to all developers is not a solution either, for security reasons. Is there a foundation (like in Mozilla Foundation or Apache Foundation) that could accept to hold our Android Market account and release new versions in accordance with their own guidelines and our community consensus? There are quite a lot of Open Source foundations, but I could not find any that tackles this particular aspect of Android applications.

• Flex RemoteObject Intermittently Failing to Invoke CFC

  I have a Flex app that uses Flash Remoting and the RemoteObject to pull data from a ColdFusion CFC. About 75% of the time it works, but the other times I get a message using Charles (a debugging tool) that says faultString = "Unable to Invoke CFC". FaultCode = "Server.Processing". Here's my RemoteObject: The server set up on our web farm is to use load balancing. I'm not sure if this is causing the problem or not. Probably not, but it's a thought. Any help is appreciated!!
