  • Loading dynamic content and rewrite URL on Hashchange event with Jquery Mobile

    - by user3611500
    I'm building a mobile version for my website using Jquery Mobile API. The framework provides automate AJAX navigation processing. But as far as i know it require "real" pages for loading purpose. What i want to do is override the automate navigation process of it and process the hashchange on my own. But i can't not rewrite the url using window.hashChange, which is running well on my non-mobile website version : $(function () { $(window).off().hashchange(function () { if (location.hash.length > 1) { PageSelect(); } }); $(window).hashchange(); }); I just only want to take advantage on jquery mobile interfaces, i don't want anything with its automate ajax navigation stuff ! I tried to disable it using ajaxEnabled() but got no luck.

  • Rotating images + content - jQuery or MooTools?

    - by Lenwood
    I've found a feature on two different websites that I'd like to include on one of my web projects, but I can't figure out how they're doing it. I think they're using either jQuery or mootools, but I'm not sure. http://www.x-plane.com/index_desktop.html I'm new here so I don't have the reputation to post the other link, but if you do a Google search for "Andrews Institute of Orthopaedics" its the top result. I'll see if I can answer a few questions to earn my keep. The thing that I like about these is that the images and text (including links) are all rotated together. I've done a few web searches related to cycle, rotate and slide but it's not coming together for me. Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction?

  • Establish draggable content constraints depending on position

    - by drukelly
    Asking all jQuery experts! How would I go about setting up constraints for a draggable element depending on its positioning? I have a basic example here. I thought it would be as simple as adding an option, containment. Ideally, I want it to drag within the following box: top: 0px left: 0px top: -263px left: -272px top: 0px left: -272px top: -263px left: 0px Is there a way to drag the element within the parameters above so you don't the extra white space? I appreciate the help!

  • CSS Attribute Content Selector multiple declarations

    - by Dave
    I have this in my CSS: div#headwrap ul li a[href*="dev"] {background: #034769}; div#headwrap ul li a[href*="music"] {background: #A61300}; div#headwrap ul li a[href*="opinion"] {background: #b2d81e}; div#headwrap ul li a[href*="work"] {background: #ffc340}; So, my expected behavior is that where a link (a) within a list item (li) inside a unordered list (ul) inside a div with id "headwrap" has an href that contains "dev", the link will have a background color of #034769. If the link has an href that contains "music" it will have a background color of #A61300, and so on. However, what I am seeing is that the rule is only correctly applied to "dev". If I reorder the CSS declarations (putting music first, for instance), it only gets applied to "music". I'm testing in Firefox and Chrome, both are doing the same thing. Only the first one is applied. Anyone have any ideas why?

  • Testing a command from Perl and checking content of a file

    - by justintime
    I want to test a script I have written in Perl and specifically check what output it writes to file. I wrote it some time ago and don't want to modify it to the extent of turning it into a module but would like to regression test it before adding some small functional changes. So far I have use Test::Command tests = 10; exit_is_num($cmd, 0); .... But the command produces some files and I want to check those files are the same as I expect (either equal or match some regexp). Any suggestions

  • How to style content in jQuery Facebox

    - by musoNic80
    I'm using jQuery Facebox plugin to create some modal windows. One situation is to display errors that might occur. If JS is disabled, I do this by displaying any errors in a normal div that is styled by CSS using a class selector. If the user does have JS enabled however, that div is hidden and the info is displayed in a facebox. The problem I have is that all the CSS styling is lost when the data is displayed within a facebox window. I understand that you can attach extra classes if you're calling facebox from a rel attribute in an anchor tag, but I'm using it programatically. Is there a way I can bind something to the facebox method? Here's my js code (the HTML should be self-explanatory): $(document).ready(function() { $(".errors").hide(); // hides the non-js error div $.errors = $(".errors").html(); // get the html from the error div if($.errors!==''){ $.facebox($.errors); // if there are any errors, display them in facebox } });

  • .Net CMS with API to expose content

    - by Peter
    I am looking for a .Net CMS that allows me to expose pages/articles that are created in the CMS to other applications without querying the CMS database. Preferably this would be done through an API and by exposing them through a custom secured webservice. I know Sitefinity can do this. Do you know if Umbraco DotNetNuke can do this? If yes, a link to some documentation of the API is appreciated!

  • Getting Selected Dropdown content to show in a form-generated email

    - by fmz
    I have a small contact form: <form method="post" action="contact.php" name="contactform" id="contactform"> <fieldset> <legend>Please fill in the following form to contact us</legend> <label for="name"><span class="required">*</span> Your Name</label> <input name="name" type="text" id="name" size="30" value="" /> <br /> <label for="company"><span class="required">*</span> Company</label> <input name="company" type="text" id="name" size="30" value="" /> <br /> <label for="email"><span class="required">*</span> Email</label> <input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="30" value="" /> <br /> <label for="phone"><span class="required">*</span> Phone</label> <input name="phone" type="text" id="phone" size="30" value="" /> <br /> <label for="purpose"><span class="required">*</span> Purpose</label> <select id="purpose" style="width: 300px; height:35px;"> <option value="I am interested in your services">I am interested in your services!</option> <option value="I am interested in a partnership">I am interested in a partnership!</option> <option value="I am interested in a job">I am interested in a job!</option> </select> <br /> <label for=comments><span class="required">*</span> Comments</label> <textarea name="comments" cols="40" rows="3" id="comments" style="width: 350px;"></textarea> <p><span class="required">*</span> Please help us control spam.</p> <label for=verify accesskey=V>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3 + 1 =</label> <input name="verify" type="text" id="verify" size="4" value="" style="width: 30px;" /><br /><br /> <input type="submit" class="submit" id="submit" value="Submit" /> </fieldset> </form> I want to send the results of the form in a php generated email.   • NSXMLParser & memory leaks

    - by HBR
    Hi, I am parsing an XML file using a custom class that instanciates & uses NSXMLParser. On the first call everything is fine but on the second, third and later calls Instruments show tens of memory leaks on certain lines inside didEndElement, didEndElement and foundCharacters functions. I googled it and found some people having this issue, but I didn't find anything that could really help me. My Parser class looks like this : Parser.h @interface XMLParser : NSObject { NSMutableArray *data; NSMutableString *currentValue; NSArray *xml; NSMutableArray *videos; NSMutableArray *photos; NSXMLParser *parser; • Is there a standard site structure format?

    - by artlung
    Is there a standard site structure format? The use of this would be for export and import into a CMS or framework to define the urls, content, metadata for a website. Something tool agnostic would be the goal. JSON, YAML, XML, whatever. Maybe something like: { 'baseurl': 'http://example.com', 'site': [ {'slug': '/', 'title': 'ExampleCo. Inc.'}, {'slug': '/about', 'title': 'About Our Company'}, {'slug': '/services', 'title': 'Our Services'}, {'slug': '/products', 'title': 'Products'}, {'slug': '/products/purchase', 'title': 'Purchase Products Now'}, {'slug': '/products/downloads', 'title': 'Downloads'}, {'slug': '/contact', 'title': 'Contact Us'} ] } My thinking is that it would allow you to quickly populate a content management system or framework with a generic site navigational structure. Does something like this exist?

  • Creating multiple log files of different content with log4j

    - by Daniel
    Is there a way to configure log4j so that it outputs different levels of logging to different appenders? I'm trying to set up multiple log files. The main log file would catch all INFO and above messages for all classes. (In development, it would catch all DEBUG and above messages, and TRACE for specific classes.) Then, I would like to have a separate log file. That log file would catch all DEBUG messages for a specific subset of classes, and ignore all messages for any other class. Is there a way to get what I'm after? Thanks, Dan

  • Dynamic Google Maps API InfoWindow HTML Content

    - by Peter Hanneman
    I am working in Flash Builder 4 with Google Map's ActionScript API. I have created a map, loaded some custom markers onto it and added some MouseEvent listeners to each marker. The trouble comes when I load an InfoWindow panel. I want to dynamically set the htmlContent based off of information stored in a database. The trouble is that this information can change every couple of seconds and each marker has a unique data set so I can not statically set it at the time I actually create the markers. I have a method that will every minute or so load all of the records from my database into an Object variable. Everything I need to display in the htmlContent is contained in this object under a unique identifier. The basic crux of the problem is that there is no way for me to uniquely identify an info window, so I can not determine what information to pull into the panel. marker.addEventListener(MapMouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, function(e:MapMouseEvent):void { showInfoWindow(e.latLng) }, false, 0, false); That is my mouse event listener. The function I call, "showInfowindow" looks like this: private function showInfoWindow(latlng:LatLng):void { var options:InfoWindowOptions = new InfoWindowOptions({title: appData[*I NEED A UNIQUE ID HERE!!!*].type + " Summary", contentHTML: appData[*I NEED A UNIQUE ID HERE!!!*].info}); this.map.openInfoWindow(latlng, options); } I thought I was onto something by being able to pass a variable in my event listener declaration, but it simply hates having a dynamic variable passed through, it only returns the last value use. Example: marker.addEventListener(MapMouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, function(e:MapMouseEvent):void { showInfoWindow(e.latLng, record.unit_id) }, false, 0, false); That solution is painfully close to working. I iterate through a loop to create my markers when I try the above solution and roll over a marker I get information, but every marker's information reflects whatever information the last marker created had. I apologize for the long explaination but I just wanted to make my question as clear as possible. Does anyone have any ideas about how to patch up my almost-there-solution that I posted at the bottom or any from the ground up solutions? Thanks in advance, Peter Hanneman

I have tried some thing but (1) the dialog box goes behind the application (2) when run, dialogbox opens 3 times, means it executes 3 times REPLY TO THE POST protected void btnNewFile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { StreamWriter sw = null; try { SaveFileDialog sdlg = new SaveFileDialog(); DialogResult result = sdlg.ShowDialog(); sdlg.InitialDirectory = @"C:\"; sdlg.AddExtension = true; sdlg.CheckPathExists = true; sdlg.CreatePrompt = false; sdlg.OverwritePrompt = true; sdlg.ValidateNames = true; sdlg.ShowHelp = true; sdlg.DefaultExt = "txt"; // sdlg.ShowDialog = Form.ActiveForm; string file = sdlg.FileName.ToString(); string data = txtNewFile.Text; if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { sw.WriteLine(txtNewFile.Text); sw.Close(); } if (sdlg.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.Cancel) { sw.Dispose(); } //Save(file, data); } catch { } finally { if (sw != null) { sw.Close(); } } } private void Save(string file, string data) { StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(file); SaveFileDialog sdlg1 = new SaveFileDialog(); try { if (sdlg1.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { writer.Write(data); writer.Close(); } else writer.Dispose(); } catch (Exception xp) { MessageBox.Show(xp.Message); } finally { if (writer != null) { writer.Close(); } } } I have tried this.

  • Help with animation

    - by Pennywise83
    I've used the "FeatureList" Jquery Plugin to make my own content slider. The script can be found here: http://pastebin.com/7iyE5ADu Here is an exemplificative image to show what I'm triyng to achieve: http://i41.tinypic.com/6jkeq1.jpg Actually the slider add a "current" class to an item (in the example the squares 1,2 and 3) and for each thumb show a content in the main area. In the example, with an interval of 2 seconds, the script switch from 1 to 2, from 2 to 3, and so on. I'd like to make a continuous animation of the thumbs, anyone can help me?
