  • OPS4j repository alternative

    - by Paul Whelan
The OPS4J repository is down at present and I am trying to run pax-provision using a profile for spring-dm. My question is how do I tell maven to locate the profile information from a site other than ops4j.org. Is this possible? ideally I would like to cache all the packages from the repo especially the spring-dm details which seem never to be cached and are downloaded all the time making coding on the train and times when the site is down impossible. Thanks Paul

  • FastMM and Dynamically loaded DLLs

    - by Vegar
I have a host application, that loads a dozen of libraries at start up. I want to switch from Delphi 7s default memory manager to the full version of FastMM4 for better mem leak reporting. Should I include FastMM4 in the uses section of both the host application and the libraries? What about shared runtime packages? -Vegar

  • Building both devel and normal version of a RPM package

    - by ereOn
Hi, I have a library from which I'd like to create two RPM packages. While I found several links on how to create a basic RPM package, I can't find how to create a devel package (see this question if you wonder what a devel package is). What do I have to do to generate both devel and non-devel versions of my RPM package ? Thanks.

  • Where do you keep your code?

    - by skiphoppy
Your code is of course checked into a repository somewhere, but where do you keep your working copy/copies? C:\Program Files isn't right, as it's for installed packages. My Documents somehow doesn't seem right, either—a My Code folder next to My Music and My Pictures? Dumping in C:\ is messy, but seems to be "working" for other people in my office.

  • SSIS - Multiple Configurations

    - by Mick Walker
I have inherited a SSIS project. I have never worked with SSIS before, and the one thing that seems strange to me, is that there is no way to manage multiple configurations. For each SSIS package we have 3 delpoyment environments, DEV, UAT and PRODUCTION. At the moment I am having to edit the configuration for every package we deploy manually for each change (and there are a lot of packages). Does anyone know of a more graceful way to handle these configuration changes?

  • NuGet Update Error?

    - by Myles McDonnell
Using the NuGet package manager dialog at the solution level in the normal course of updating a package reference once the process is complete there is a green tick on the item and the update button disappears. However, with certain of my packages the update process completes, as far as I can tell successfully, but no green tick and the update button remains. Press it again and the next dialog shows that no projects require an update for that package. Am I missing something here or is this a bug?

  • WS Libs: com.sun.xml vs javax.xml

    - by Zilvinas
There are identical classes of java WebServices API & IMPL in those packages groups, only package names are different. http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/javax.xml http://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.sun.xml Which ones should I use in my code? I would prefer NON-com.sun.* as per java conventions, but still my dependencies ( e.g. Spring ) are using implementations from com.sun.* OR I can't find an implementation package in javax.xml Does anyone have any experience on this?

  • How do I setup a Python development environment on Linux ?

    - by Rob Sobers
I'm a .NET developer who knows very little about Python, but want to give it a test drive for a small project I'm working on. What tools and packages should I install on my machine? I'm looking for a common, somewhat comprehensive, development environment. I'll likely run Ubuntu 9.10, but I'm flexible. If Windows is a better option, that's fine too.

  • Directory ignored by "setup.py"

    - by lazy1
The Selenium setup.py can be found at http://code.google.com/p/selenium/source/browse/trunk/setup.py. When running "python setup.py sdist" the "firefox/test/py" directory is ignored for some reason though it's mentioned in the "package_dir" and in "packages". Any ideas why it's ignored?

  • packaging and distributing Python code as executables

    - by user248237
How can I compile my python module into an executable, and distribute it in a way that doesn't require the user to download all the external Python packages that the module I wrote uses? Aside from that, is there a general guy on packaging and distributing python code? i.e. going from a script/module to someone that's user-friendly and can be run, ideally cross-platform (at least between unix and mac). thanks.

I've downloaded the IBM DBI package, including all the packages in my program as specified in the docs. • Concurrent Linked HashMap java

    - by Nilesh
Please help me use/create Concurrent LinkedHashMap. As per my belief, if I use Collections.synchronizedMap(), I would have to use synchronized blocks for getter/setter. If I use ConcurrentSkipListMap, is there any way to implement a Comparator to store sequentially. I would like to use java's built in instead of third party packages. Thanks

  • How to add imports to groovysh on startup?

    - by ipolevoy
I'm working on a project where I'd like users to experiment with Java classes on Groovysh. I'd like to make it convenient for them and want to import certain packages by default, when groovysh starts up so that users would not have to re-type the same imports every time they start the shell. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance, igor

  • Where can I find a good tutorial for py2exe?

    - by Manzabar
Can somebody point me at a good tutorial for py2exe? I've read over the official tutorial but it is rather light on details, compared to all the options one can use when building an executable out of a python script. For the record, my python script uses Python 2.5.2, wxPython/wxWidgets 2.8 and MySQLdb 1.2.2; so if you have specific tips for py2exe with those packages that would be much appreciated (and yes, I've seen the Py2EXE and wxPython page).

  • Group by in Winforms/webforms DataGrid

    - by Kumar
I'd like to implement the group by features for the default grid as it's available for the commercial grid like devexpress/infragistics et al, if you want a sample, see the 2nd image on http://www.devexpress.com/Products/NET/Controls/WinForms/Grid/dataoperations.xml I'd think there's some pattern or better yet some opensource/free grid which does this already, if not, i would probably implement it if i can find the time (doubtful ! and esp since it's available so easily in most packages, if only i can convince the client to pay for a license ) & want to get some ideas/patterns on the same

Has anyone had any joy with blog software on a Macintosh using Umbraco as the backend?

  • Using Maven for project distribution

    - by Thomas
I have an Project that I distribute by sending out large packages. I'd like to know if there is a user friendly way of using Maven to distribute updates of the project? I'd need something like what is done for updating softwares like Firefox or Acrobat Reader. Check a respository, warn user of an update, download and reconfigure. All within a simple and friendly interface. Alternative open source java projects are welcome.
