I know how to use it by simply hijacking an existing language and add the wordbreaker to the registry for the hijacked language. However I'm not completely satisfied with that solution.     Is it possible to host 2 asp.net projects off one ip address? I don't have a domain name just an ip number. I'm running IIS7. The first project runs and displays fine over the web by simply typing in the ip address into the browser but I'm having trouble accessing the second. Currently both projects have virtual directories in IIS7. Help is greatly appreciated. Thx

    I make regular use of forward class declarations and pointers to such classes. I now have a need to pass a function pointer through a number of layers. I would prefer to include the header that declares my function pointer's prototype only into the module that dereferences a function pointer rather than into each layer that simply passes along that pointer value.     If you don't care about minifying your code, is there a way to get started using the Google Closure library without having to set up a subversion client and use the compiler? The Notepad sample program on Google's website refers to <script src="closure-library/base.js" > </script > Can you simply download closure-library/base.js somewhere and start playing with the UI examples? The Closure Lite quick-start version doesn't appear to include goog.ui

  • Why is it safe to use copy & paste in Flash but not in Javascript?

    I'm trying to use copy'n paste in one of my web apps and have read a few articles/SO questions about it. Most people say that using Flash is the only option since most browsers don't allow access to the system clipboard because of security concerns. I can understand this but I wonder why it is okay for Flash do this, but not for the browser. Or has it got nothing to do with security and it is simply to complicated to implement this for cross-platform browser vendors?

  • What's the best way to skin my iPhone app (similar to how the Notes app is skinned)?

    If you look at the Notes app on the iPad, you can see it uses all native iPhone controls, but they're "skinned" to look like a pad of paper. What's the best way to implement something similar to that? Could I use interface builder and simply change the background image for each of the controls, including the TableViews? Does it imply that it's not safe to keep in Session objects that do not implement "Serializable"? I haven't heard that there are limitations on saving non-serializable objects in Session object. It simply means that Tomcat will always keep them in memory, right?

  • Cocoa: NSOpenPanel Threads

    I am monitoring my application using Activity Monitor and whenever NSOpenPanel is called the application appears as having 9 threads and stays like that until the application is closed. Is there a way to release those threads?, Or am I simply misunderstanding what the threads number means?, surely it isn't a good thing to have them open for no reason. Any help would be appreciated

PNG_NO_FILTER PNG_FILTER_NONE PNG_FILTER_SUB PNG_FILTER_UP PNG_FILTER_AVG PNG_FILTER_PAETH PNG_ALL_FILTERS The documentation simply says, "A special PNG filter, used by the imagepng() function" for each of them. It seems that using PNG_NO_FILTER will reduce the filesize of the output, but other than that, I am unsure as to how it is affected. Any insight would be really appreciated.

    I'm trying to create an offline HTML5 test application, and am playing with the new google fonts api at the same time. Does anyone have any ideas how to cache the remote fonts? Simply putting the api call in the cache manifest doesn't work, I assume this is because the api actually loads other files (ttf, eot, etc). Any ideas if using the font api offline would be possible?
