  • Missing parameter error after running MySql query

    - by annelie
    Hello, I'm completely new to MySql and haven't used SqlDataSource with UpdateParameters before, so I'm probably missing something very obvious. When trying to update a record, the update does happen but then throws an error saying "'id' parameter is missing at the statement". So the query works and the database gets updated as it should, but an error is thrown afterwards. These are the update parameters: <UpdateParameters> <asp:Parameter Name="business_name" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="addr_line_1" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="addr_line_2" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="addr_line_3" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="postcode" Type="string" Size="32" /> <asp:Parameter Name="county" Type="string" Size="128" /> <asp:Parameter Name="town_city" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="tl_url" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="customer_id" Type="string" Size="16" /> <asp:Parameter Name="region_id" Type="Int16" /> <asp:Parameter Name="description" Type="string" Size="1024" /> <asp:Parameter Name="approval_status" Type="string" Size="1" /> <asp:Parameter Name="tl_user_name" Type="string" Size="256" /> <asp:Parameter Name="phone" Type="string" Size="50" /> <asp:Parameter Name="uploaders_own" Type="Int16" /> </UpdateParameters> Here's the update statement: UPDATE myTable SET business_name = ?, addr_line_1 = ?, addr_line_2 = ?, addr_line_3 = ?, postcode = ?, county = ?, town_city = ?, tl_url = ?, customer_id = ?, region_id = ?, description = ?, approval_status = ?, tl_user_name = ?, phone = ?, uploaders_own = ?   • Is there a standard syntax for encoding structure objects as HTTP GET request parameters?

    - by lexicore
    Imagine we need to pass a a number structured objects to the web application - for instance, locale, layout settings and a definition of some query. This can be easily done with JSON or XML similar to the following fragment: <Locale>en</Locale> <Layout> <Block id="header">hide</Block> <Block id="footer">hide</Block> <Block id="navigation">minimize</Block> </Layout> <Query> <What>water</What> <When> <Start>2010-01-01</Start> </When> </Query> However, passing such structures with HTTP implies (roughly speaking) HTTP POST. Now assume we're limited to HTTP GET. Is there some kind of a standard solution for encoding structured data in HTTP GET request parameters? I can easily imagine something like: Locale=en& Layout.Block.header=hide& Layout.Block.footer=hide& Layout.Block.navigation=minimize& Query.What=water& Query.When.Start=2010-01-01 But what I'm looking for is a "standard" syntax, if there's any. ps. I'm surely aware of the problem with URL length. Please assume that it's not a problem in this case.

  • Javascript code refactoring and assessment

    - by neitony
    I'm using javascript to toggle the display state of some objects based on the time of day. A sample of the code is given below. I was wondering if anyone could give a suggestion as to how I can refactor this code while at the same time improving the logic. switch(tcode) { case 'eur' : eur.setAttribute('style', 'display:block; opacity:0.5'); us.style.display = 'none'; asia.style.display = 'none'; us_inactive.style.display = 'block'; asia_inactive.style.display = 'block'; break; case 'us' : us.style.display = 'block'; eur.style.display = 'none'; asia.style.display = 'none'; eur_inactive.style.display = 'block'; asia_inactive.style.display = 'block'; break; case 'asia' : asia.setAttribute('style', 'display:block; opacity:0.5'); us.style.display = 'none'; eur.style.display = 'none'; eur_inactive.style.display = 'block'; us_inactive.style.display = 'block';

  • OSX: Programmatically added subviews not responding to mouse down events

    - by BigCola
    I have 3 subclasses: a Block class, a Row class and a Table class. All are subclasses of NSView. I have a Table added with IB which programmatically displays 8 rows, each of which displays 8 blocks. I overrode the mouseDown: method in Block to change the background color to red, but it doesn't work. Still if I add a block directly on top of the Table with IB it does work so I can't understand why it won't work in the first case. Here's the implementation code for Block and Row (Table's implementation works the same way as Row's): //block.m - (void)drawRect:(NSRect)dirtyRect { [color set]; [NSBezierPath fillRect:dirtyRect]; } -(void)mouseDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent { color = [NSColor redColor]; checked = YES; [self setNeedsDisplay:YES]; } //row.m - (void)drawRect:(NSRect)dirtyRect { [[NSColor blueColor] set]; [NSBezierPath fillRect:dirtyRect]; int x; for(x=0; x<8; x++){ int margin = x*2; NSRect rect = NSMakeRect(0, 50*x+margin, 50, 50); Block *block = [[Block alloc] initWithFrame:rect]; [self addSubview:block]; } }

After being warmly greeted by Frances and Francesca, who make sure Front of House and Facilities run smoothly, we embarked on a quick tour of the 2 floors Oracle occupies, led by VP Bo, it was time to seek out some willing volunteers to be interviewed/photographed - what a shy bunch! A bit of coaxing from the social media team was needed here! In a male-dominated environment, the few women on the team caught my eye immediately. I got chatting to Susan, a business analyst and Bronagh, a tech writer. It becomes clear during our chat that the male/female divide is not an issue – “everyone here just gets on with the job,” says Suzanne, “We’re all around the same age and have similar priorities and luckily everyone is really friendly so there are no problems. ” A graduate of Queen’s University in Belfast majoring in maths & computer science, Susan works closely with product management and the development teams to ensure that the final project delivered to clients meets and exceeds their expectations. Bronagh, who joined us following working for a tech company in Montreal and gaining her post-grad degree at University of Ulster agrees that the work is challenging but “the environment is so relaxed and friendly”. The social activities are headed up by Gordon, a software engineer on the commerce team who joined the team 4 years ago after graduating from the University of Strathclyde at Glasgow with a degree in Computer Science. Everyone is unanimous that the best things about working at Oracle’s Belfast offices are the casual friendly environment and the opportunity to be at the cutting edge of technology. • Objective-C Moving UIView along a curved path

    - by PruitIgoe
    I'm not sure if I am approaching this the correct way. In my app, when a user touches the screen I capture the point and create an arc from a fixed point to that touch point. I then want to move a UIView along that arc. Here's my code: ViewController.m //method to "shoot" object - KIP_Projectile creates the arc, KIP_Character creates the object I want to move along the arc ... //get arc for trajectory KIP_Projectile* vThisProjectile = [[KIP_Projectile alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(51.0, fatElvisCenterPoint-30.0, touchPoint.x, 60.0)]; vThisProjectile.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; [self.view addSubview:vThisProjectile]; ... • how to save a png as a smaller file but the same resolution?

    - by Radek
    not sure what stackexchange site is the best for this question. I have a scanned jpg file with below properties and size 8.5MB pixel dimension: 2468 × 3484 pixels print size: 208.96 × 294.98 millimeters resolution: 300 × 300 ppi I need to save the file as png while the size cannot be bigger than 4MB. The most important is that the size of picture must remain the same. I mean that the object size in the picture must stay the same. Could anybody tell me what is used to define the size of the objects in the picture?

Will that be any problem? Will it cause instability? Thanks.

  • Collision Detection problems in Voxel Engine (XNA)

    - by Darestium
    I am creating a minecraft like terrain engine in XNA and have had some collision problems for quite some time. I have checked and changed my code based on other peoples collision code and I still have the same problem. It always seems to be off by about a block. for instance, if I walk across a bridge which is one block high I fall through it. Also, if you walk towards a "row" of blocks like this: You are able to stand "inside" the left most one, and you collide with nothing in the right most side (where there is no block and is not visible on this image). Here is all my collision code: private void Move(GameTime gameTime, Vector3 direction) { float speed = playermovespeed * (float)gameTime.ElapsedGameTime.TotalSeconds; Matrix rotationMatrix = Matrix.CreateRotationY(player.Camera.LeftRightRotation); Vector3 rotatedVector = Vector3.Transform(direction, rotationMatrix); rotatedVector.Normalize(); Vector3 testVector = rotatedVector; testVector.Normalize(); Vector3 movePosition = player.position + testVector * speed; Vector3 midBodyPoint = movePosition + new Vector3(0, -0.7f, 0); Vector3 headPosition = movePosition + new Vector3(0, 0.1f, 0); if (!world.GetBlock(movePosition).IsSolid && !world.GetBlock(midBodyPoint).IsSolid && !world.GetBlock(headPosition).IsSolid) { player.position += rotatedVector * speed; } //player.position += rotatedVector * speed; } ... public void UpdatePosition(GameTime gameTime) { player.velocity.Y += playergravity * (float)gameTime.ElapsedGameTime.TotalSeconds; Vector3 footPosition = player.Position + new Vector3(0f, -1.5f, 0f); Vector3 headPosition = player.Position + new Vector3(0f, 0.1f, 0f); // If the block below the player is solid the Y velocity should be zero if (world.GetBlock(footPosition).IsSolid || world.GetBlock(headPosition).IsSolid) { player.velocity.Y = 0; } UpdateJump(gameTime); UpdateCounter(gameTime); ProcessInput(gameTime); player.Position = player.Position + player.velocity * (float)gameTime.ElapsedGameTime.TotalSeconds; velocity = Vector3.Zero; } and the one and only function in the camera class: protected void CalculateView() { Matrix rotationMatrix = Matrix.CreateRotationX(upDownRotation) * Matrix.CreateRotationY(leftRightRotation); lookVector = Vector3.Transform(Vector3.Forward, rotationMatrix); cameraFinalTarget = Position + lookVector; Vector3 cameraRotatedUpVector = Vector3.Transform(Vector3.Up, rotationMatrix); viewMatrix = Matrix.CreateLookAt(Position, cameraFinalTarget, cameraRotatedUpVector); } which is called when the rotation variables are changed: public float LeftRightRotation { get { return leftRightRotation; } set { leftRightRotation = value; CalculateView(); } } public float UpDownRotation { get { return upDownRotation; } set { upDownRotation = value; CalculateView(); } } World class: public Block GetBlock(int x, int y, int z) { if (InBounds(x, y, z)) { Vector3i regionalPosition = GetRegionalPosition(x, y, z); Vector3i region = GetRegionPosition(x, y, z); return regions[region.X, region.Y, region.Z].Blocks[regionalPosition.X, regionalPosition.Y, regionalPosition.Z]; } return new Block(BlockType.none); } public Vector3i GetRegionPosition(int x, int y, int z) { int regionx = x == 0 ? 0 : x / Variables.REGION_SIZE_X; int regiony = y == 0 ? 0 : y / Variables.REGION_SIZE_Y; int regionz = z == 0 ? 0 : z / Variables.REGION_SIZE_Z; return new Vector3i(regionx, regiony, regionz); } public Vector3i GetRegionalPosition(int x, int y, int z) { int regionx = x == 0 ? 0 : x / Variables.REGION_SIZE_X; int X = x % Variables.REGION_SIZE_X; int regiony = y == 0 ? 0 : y / Variables.REGION_SIZE_Y; int Y = y % Variables.REGION_SIZE_Y; int regionz = z == 0 ? 0 : z / Variables.REGION_SIZE_Z; int Z = z % Variables.REGION_SIZE_Z; return new Vector3i(X, Y, Z); } Any ideas how to fix this problem? EDIT 1: Graphic of the problem: EDIT 2 GetBlock, Vector3 version: public Block GetBlock(Vector3 position) { int x = (int)Math.Floor(position.X); int y = (int)Math.Floor(position.Y); int z = (int)Math.Ceiling(position.Z); Block block = GetBlock(x, y, z); return block; } Now, the thing is I tested the theroy that the Z is always "off by one" and by ceiling the value it actually works as intended. Altough it still could be greatly more accurate (when you go down holes you can see through the sides, and I doubt it will work with negitive positions). I also does not feel clean Flooring the X and Y values and just Ceiling the Z. I am surely not doing something correctly still.

  • BoundingBox Intersection Problems

    - by Deukalion
    When I try to render two cubes, same sizes, one beside the other. With the same proportions (XYZ). My problem is, why do a Box1.BoundingBox.Contains(Box2.BoundingBox) == ContaintmentType.Intersects - when it clearly doesn't? I'm trying to place objects with BoundingBoxes as "intersection" checking, but this simple example clearly shows that this doesn't work. Why is that? I also try checking height of the next object to be placed, by checking intersection, adding each boxes height += (Max.Y - Min.Y) to a Height value, so when I add a new Box it has a height value. This works, but sometimes due to strange behavior it adds extra values when there isn't anything there. This is an example of what I mean: BoundingBox box1 = GetBoundaries(new Vector3(0, 0, 0), new Vector3(128, 64, 128)); BoundingBox box2 = GetBoundaries(new Vector3(128, 0, 0), new Vector3(128, 64, 128)); if (box1.Contains(box2) == ContainmentType.Intersects) { // This will be executed System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show("Intersects = True"); } if (box1.Contains(box2) == ContainmentType.Disjoint) { System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show("Disjoint = True"); } if (box1.Contains(box2) == ContainmentType.Contains) { System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show("Contains = True"); } Test Method: public BoundingBox GetBoundaries(Vector3 position, Vector3 size) { Vector3[] vertices = new Vector3[8]; vertices[0] = position + new Vector3(-0.5f, 0.5f, -0.5f) * size; vertices[1] = position + new Vector3(-0.5f, 0.5f, 0.5f) * size; vertices[2] = position + new Vector3(0.5f, 0.5f, -0.5f) * size; vertices[3] = position + new Vector3(0.5f, 0.5f, 0.5f) * size; vertices[4] = position + new Vector3(-0.5f, -0.5f, -0.5f) * size; vertices[5] = position + new Vector3(-0.5f, -0.5f, 0.5f) * size; vertices[6] = position + new Vector3(0.5f, -0.5f, -0.5f) * size; vertices[7] = position + new Vector3(0.5f, -0.5f, 0.5f) * size; return BoundingBox.CreateFromPoints(vertices); } Box 1 should start at x -64, Box 2 should start at x 64 which means they never overlap. If I add Box 2 to 129 instead it creates a small gap between the cubes which is not pretty. So, the question is how can I place two cubes beside eachother and make them understand that they do not overlap or actually intersect? Because this way I can never automatically check for intersections or place cube beside eachother.

  • Physics for moving blocks

    - by Gabson
    I'm working on a 2D game for windows phone where the player moves blocks around to bounce a laser beams. I need to create some simple physics for moving the blocks. For the moment I have a simple collision class, telling me if two rectangles collide. But that's not enough because when I'm moving a block the rectangle/rectangle function doesn't work. By Doesn't work i mean,I manage the collision but I don't how to stop the block mooving while the user sliding the block. The collision response for the block I want is if the user tries to slide it on another object, the block should slide up against the other object and not overlap. How would I go about implementing this functionality?

  • Windows 7 can't copy file - Error 0x800700DF: The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be

    - by JJGroover
    Any attempt to copy files larger than about 40 MB from a network share (a SAN running open filer / Samba) to my local machine running Windows 7 always results in the following error and the copy fails: Error 0x800700DF: The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved. I've tried copying to my C: drive and a USB drive with the same results. Smaller files copy just fine. Clearly 40 MB is not that big of a file so I'm assuming it is some buggy interaction between windows 7 and Samba perhaps. Google has so far turned up nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • How to scale page size down in Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

    - by WilliamKF
    I scanned a document on a scanner at a friend's house and the pdf ended up being 35 inches by 45 inches in size. I think this the cause of the trouble had for the person I sent it to, they get the error "insufficient image". How can I scale this down in Adobe Acrobat X Pro to a normal 8.5x11 inch sheet so that I can see if that resolves their issue and I can share the document with them. I cannot rescan the document, as I no longer have it. Acrobat is running on Windows 7 OS. The scanner was an HP OfficeJet Pro L7650 All-in-one.

  • What's the largest message size modern email systems generally support?

    - by Phil Hollenback
    I know that Yahoo and Google mail support 25MB email attachments. I have an idea from somewhere that 10MB email messages are generally supported by modern email systems. So if I'm sending an email between two arbitrary users on the internet, what's the safe upper bound on message size? 1MB? 10MB? 25MB? I know that one answer is 'don't send big emails, use some sort of drop box'. I'm looking for a guideline if you are limited to only using regular smtp email.

I do not need anything fancy like song recognition, metadata or silence detection. I haven't been able to find such a piece of software so far. Example: Tap channel "News" results in: News-090902-0000-0100.mp3, News-090902-0100-0200.mp3, etc... Who knows what tool can do this? It can be commercial software. • rsync - Exclude files that are over a certain size?

    - by Rory
    I am doing a backup of my desktop to a remote machine. I'm basically doing rsync -a ~ example.com:backup/ However there are loads of large files, e.g. wikipedia dumps etc. Most of the files I care a lot about a small, such as firefox cookie files, or .bashrc. Is there some invocation to rsync that will exclude files that are over a certain size? That way I could copy all files that are less than 10MB first, then do all files. That way I can do a fast backup of the most important files, then a longer backup of everything else.

  • All PHP sites stopped working on IIS7, internal server error 500

    - by TimothyP
    I installed multiple drupal 7 sites using the Web Platform Installer on Windows Server 2008. Until know they worked without any problems, but recently internal server error 500 started to show up (once every so many requests), now it happens for all requests to any of the php sites. There's not much detail to go on, and nothing changed between the time when it was working and now (well nothing I know of anyway) The log file is flooded with messages such as [09-Aug-2011 09:08:04] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:08:16] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:08:16] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:08:20] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:08:22] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:08:51] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:09:56] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:09:57] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:12:13] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:15:09] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:15:09] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:21:28] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 [09-Aug-2011 09:21:28] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 261904 bytes) in Unknown on line 0 I have tried increasing the memory limit in php.ini as such: memory_limit = 512MB But that doesn't seem to solve the problem either. This is in the global php configuration in IIS When I looked at the sites one by one, I noticed that PHP seemed to have been disabled. PHP is not enabled. Register new PHP version to enable PHP via FastCGI So I tried to register the php version again C:\Program Files\PHP\v5.3\php-cgi.exe But when I try to apply the changes I get There was an error while performing this operation Details: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object There doesn't seem to be any other information than that. I have no idea why all of a sudden php isn't available for the sites anymore. PS: I have rebooted IIS, the server, etc... This server is hosted on amazon S3, so I gave the server some more power Update These seem to be two different issues I used memory_limit=128MB instead of memory_limit=128M Notice the "M" instead of "MB" A memory_limit of 128M was not enough, had to increase it to 512M The first issue caused internal server errors for every request. Increasing to 512MB seemed to have solved the problem for a little while, but after a while the server errors return. Note that the PHP manager inside of IIS still shows there is no PHP available for the sites (the global config does see it as available) So the problem remains unsolved
