  I have been looking around to try and find some confirmation and clarity on the limit of pageviews that Google allow per month for a Google Analytics account. I have read that the limit of hits per month is 10,000,000, and the limit of pageviews is 5,000,000. Putting 2 and 2 together I am thinking this is to allow the other 5,000,000 for events and social clicks and the like? Google's documentation states 5m, but the hits/pageviews is a bit of a grey area as i've read suggestions that the limit can be considered as 10m

• How do I simplify terrain with tunnels or overhangs?

  I'm attempting to store vertex data in a quadtree with C++, such that far-away vertices can be combined to simplify the object and speed up rendering. This works well with a reasonably flat mesh, but what about terrain with overhangs or tunnels? How should I represent such a mesh in a quadtree? After the initial generation, each mesh is roughly 130,000 polygons and about 300 of these meshes are lined up to create the surface of a planetary body. A fully generated planet is upwards of 10,000,000 polygons before applying any culling to the individual meshes. Therefore, this second optimization is vital for the project. The rest of my confusion focuses around my inexperience with vertex data: How do I properly loop through the vertex data to group them into specific quads? How do I conclude from vertex data what a quad's maximum size should be? How many quads should the quadtree include?

  Where can I get a list of recommended PDF viewer and form-filler components that I can buy and install in C#? I query on C# component PDF viewer on Google and get a lot of hits, but I'm not certain what programmers have tried and liked. Background: See, my employer is wanting me to build one in C# as a kind of training exercise, but also to be a product for sales lead generation for another product they sell. The employer is perfectly okay buying something, as long as it's good. I've learned VB6 and PHP, and know a little C and C++, so I'm trying to learn where people get the best-rated addon components for it, and especially for this PDF viewer and form filler thing he wants.

  First of all, thank you very much for providing this useful forum. Too bad for me, there is no support for the Acer Aspire S3 yet (just came out in October) Short Description of the Problem: I cannot adjust the screen brightness. Neither Compiz nor the FN Key combination work. Also the fan keeps running on full power. As you can guess, both of these drain my battery. The Setup: Acer Aspire S3, Intel i5 newest Generation, Intel HD3000 Grafic Accelerator (no driver maybe?) Thanks in advance, Kakadu90

But I dont know what event or signal is activated when the conversation window gains focus (To clear the message counter). I've tried some of the signals available on the documentation of Pidgin but none of them worked. Is there any GTK(or anything) event that is triggered when the window chat gets focus?

  Had an interesting chat with Greg about said topic and searching showed the following link to discuss this topic in some detail (no reason for me to repeat this). insert /*+ noappend parallel(t1) */ into t1 select /*+ parallel(t2) */ * from t2 generates a load table conventional and does give you a parallel insert without doing a direct path insert. As this is missing from the official documentation it is probably something few people actually know existed, so kudos to Randolf Geist.

  I just read through the documentation on the Codecs module, but I guess my knowledge/experience of comp sci doesn't run deep enough yet for me to comprehend it. It's for dealing with encoding/decoding, especially Unicode, and while to many of you that's a complete and perfect explanation, to me that's really vague.   Haven't had a chance to setup Davmail per the earlier discussion around connecting to my Exchange box w/ Kontact but tonight I had some free time. So I have Davmail installed and working I thinking, but the problem that I am running into is the icon doesn't not show up in the system tray. The documentation says right-click o the tray, but there are no icons to right click on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Running Kubuntu 11.04 Thanks, Jonathn

• Can someone provide a short code example of compiler bootstrapping?

  This Turing award lecture by Ken Thompson on topic "Reflections on Trusting Trust" gives good insight about how C compiler was made in C itself. Though I understand the crux, it still hasn't sunk in. So ultimately, once the compiler is written to do lexical analysis, parse trees, syntax analysis, byte code generation etc, a separate machine code is again written to do all that on compiler? Can anyone please explain with a small example of the procedure? Bootstrapping on wiki gives good insights, but only a rough view on it. PS: I am aware of the duplicates on the site, but found them to be an overview which I am already aware

• Can somebody help me setting up wxWidgets 3.0 for codeblocks12.11 on ubuntu 12.04?

  I already downloaded and installed codeblocks 12.11svn9156. After that, I downloaded and compiled wxWidgets3.0 using make. When I go to codeblocks I don't see wxWidgets3.0 in the wxWidget project wizard. Also, the wizard prompts me "wxSmith plugin is not loaded, can not continue" I know some additional steps have to be done but I only found some confusing documentation.
