• iphone problem adding splashscreen

  hi all, i've a little problem, i've add a default.png in my app and it work. I've modify my file, delete file and reference and upload my new file. On my iphone the image does not appear, only some second of blackscreen and after my app start. In the simulator the splashscreen appear. I've try to delete my app on iphone, make a clean all and rebuild & install but nothing... I've try to make clean all, close xcode, delete default.png to my project directory (sometimes exist, sometimes no), open xcode, add my file and build & install on my iphone but nothing... Any ideas?

• Can I fill in an encypted PDF with iTextSharp?

  I have a fillable, saveable PDF file that has an owner password (that I don't have access to). I can fill it out in Adobe reader, export the FDF file, modify the FDF file, and then import it. Then I tried to do it with iText(Sharp). I can't create a PdfStamper from my PdfReader because I didn't provide the owner password to the reader. Is there any way to do this programmatically or must I recreate the document? Even using FdfReader requires a PdfStamper. Am I missing anything? Anything legal that is - I'm pretty sure I could hack the document, but I can't. Ironically, recreating it would probably be ok.

• Restoring a "Canceled" event with Google Calendar API?

  I'm trying to change the status of an event back from "canceled" to "confirmed" using Google Calendar API (I'm using .NET but an answer in any language would help) but I get GDataRequestException error: "You can't modify a cancelled event" If I've used the API to delete an event in a repeating series, for example, is it possible to change the status of the resulting recurrence exception (there's no EXDATE, just a new "canceled" event that is only visible when the feed is requested with start and end date) to "confirmed" (or even delete the resulting exception completely) in order to restore the repeating series to the original state? event.Delete() and event.Update() don't even see the event any longer once it's been .canceled. event.Update() gives the above error. • CORE Keygen Problem

  Hi, after fighting several versions of the CoreKeyGen created by some "minamoto" guy, a new version has appeared. This version is particularly sophisticated and seems to modify the actual binary itself, using a dylib known as libbassmod.dylib (this is in the keygen's mac os folder). Has anyone ever come across this & can give me advice on how to stop it? If so, how can I stop the keygen? it seems like the library can see what calls my app makes and stop them somehow, I'm not too sure.

  Hi, WordPress requires you give each blog post at least two fields: a title and text body content. I'm wondering how to modify WordPress admin so I can sometimes enter a single field for a blog post, in particular a URL, without WordPress requiring a title (related but not the point of this question: a custom theme would then know how to handle a post that only contained a URL, it would treat it like a "Link" post in Tumblr). Ideally it'd be good if the "add/edit post" form could be modified so it only contains this single URL/Link field when this is wanted. I'm guessing this is possible through a plugin but I'm not certain. I'm hoping some smart WordPress devs are here to share and brainstorm ideas for how this could be done.   Hello, I am a newbi programmer and am having trouble with a measurement conversion program I am working on. What I would like to do is have several EditText boxes. When one is filled in and a calculate button is hit then the rest will be populated with a converted number. The part I am getting stuck on is outputting the answers to EditText widgets. ex: There are three EditText Widgets. a user inputs the number 6 into the first one (labeled inches) and presses calculate. I would like the next box to display .5 (labeled feet) and the last to display .1666 (this would be yards) .setText() apparently does not work to modify the text in an EditText any help would be greatly appreciated.

  What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work?

• C# SHA-1 vs. PHP SHA-1...Different Results?

  Hey, I am trying to calculate a SHA-1 Hash from a string, but when I calculate the string using php's sha1 function I get something different than when I try it in C#. I need C# to calculate the same string as PHP (since the string from php is calculated by a 3rd party that I cannot modify). How can I get C# to generate the same hash as PHP? Thanks!!! • How can I temporarily redirect printf output to a c-string?

  I'm writing an assignment which involves adding some functionality to PostgreSQL on a Solaris box. As part of the assignment, we need to print some information on the client side (i.e.: using elog.) PostgreSQL already has lots of helper methods which print out the required information, however, the helper methods are packed with hundreds of printf calls, and the elog method only works with c-style strings. Is there I way that I could temporarily redirect printf calls to a buffer so I could easily send it over elog to the client? If that's not possible, what would be the simplest way to modify the helper methods to end up with a buffer as output?

• How do I compile Android Browser (or other android-supplied applications)

  I want to add support for Arabic (or other languages which are currently unsupported) to the applications supplied by android platform (e.g. Browser) without having root-access. To add Arabic support (at least displaying only) in a normal application (using developer SDK), I will need to: Add fonts Modify (reshape) the characters to be rendered For illustration, if I have string a aaa, I will need to change a aaa into a bcd because letter a at the beginning, middle, and end of a word need to be changed to b,c and d respectively) But now I want to compile android's Browser (and other apps). I am planning to get the source codes for these applications and their dependencies and bundle them as stand-alone applications which do not require root-access, and thus do not void the warranty. Other solutions which void the warranty can be obtained here. My Questions: Is the application's (e.g. Browser's) source code + 'developer SDK' enough to accomplish this? Do I need to get the source code + the development environment for the android platform? Any tips?

  Hey. I'm finally learning regexps, training with ack. I believe this uses perl regexp. I want to match all lines where the first non-blank characters are if (<word> !, with any number of spaces in between the elements. This is what I came up with: ^[ \t]*if *\(\w+ *! It only nearly worked. ^[ \t]* is wrong, since it matches one or none [space or tab]. What I want is to match anything that may contain only space or tab (or nothing). For example these should not match: // if (asdf != 0) else if (asdf != 1) How can I modify my regexp for that?

• Licensing your code in Mono

  I'm working with some code in Visual Studio. My parter-in-crime fellow developer has suggested that the code also be available to work under Mono. I'm impresed witht he work that is already done in Mono, but I'm very new to Mono, so I don't know what it can/cannot do. I've already written a class in C# using the .NET LicenseManager object. It writes to the windows registry, so I know I'll have to modify it so that it will use some compiler flags like #if Win32 or #if MONO. My question is two-fold: 1) Does Mono implement the same LicenseManager class structure? 2) If so, how do you guys lock down your code using LicenseManager in Linux? (i.e. Write to files, use a hardware dongle, compare to hardware serials, etc??)

• Sending POST variables through a PHP proxy for AJAX?

  I've decided that using a PHP proxy for AJAX calls for a project is the best way to go - but I have a question regarding passing POST data through the proxy. As in - how to do it. Should I need to create a single variable in the javascript using alternate characters, then have the PHP proxy parse and modify the variable to reassemble a valid HTTP request? Or is there some means of passing along the $_POST array in new request to the external server by pulling the data out of the headers and re-sending it?

• Sample source code for processing messages of a window created by an external program?

  I know I have to use SetWindowLongPtr with GWLP_WNDPROC and create my own WndProc that handles the message I want (such as WM_GETMINMAXINFO and modify the MINMAXINFO structure). However, because I want to do this for a window created by another program (like notepad.exe), I can't do this from my C#/WinForms program, I have to create a native C/C++ DLL that I have to inject in the the process that created the window. Can you provide a link or the sample code to do this (the native C++ DLL and the way to call it from C# and inject it into the external process)? Thank you

  I am trying to customize a view-src bookmarklet for iPad. This one is looking pretty good so far. But I want to make it just a little more readable: The Courier (New) font is a bit ugly even (especially?) on the retina display and I'd prefer any one of DejaVu Sans Mono, Monaco, Lucida Console, Bitstream Vera Sans Mono. I tried to modify the bookmarklet script by adding: pre.style.fontFamily = '"DejaVu Sans Mono", "Lucida Console", Monaco;'; It's not doing the trick. Perhaps prettyprint cancels out my fontFamily setting when it loads. Maybe I can set it at the end of the script somehow...

• Can MYSQL filter by date if date is stored as text? ex "02/10/1984"

  Hello! I am trying to modify an app for a client which has already a database of over 1000 items. The dates are stored as text in the database with the format "02/10/1984". The system allows you to add and remove fields to the catalog dynamically and it also allows the advanced search to have specific fields be allowed. The problem is that it wasn't designed with dates in mind, so when I set a field as a date, and try to search by a range the query is trying to do a AND (cfv0.value = 01/02/2004 AND cfv0.value <= 05/03/2008) . I can make it so the date range passed is a numeric time value. Is there a way that when sending the query, it takes the text fields (with the date) and converts it to numeric time value so at that point I am basically just comparing numbers which would work fine. I do not have the option to change all the current date to numeric value due to the way the dynamic fields are set up. Thanks guys!

  I have some data files that should be distributed with my program. Using dist_pkgdata_DATA in Makefile.am, I get these files installed to /usr/local/data/share/package-name. The problem is that data is read-only, and my program needs to modify it. Playing with dist_sharedstate_DATA, dist_localstate_DATA, dist-data_DATA varibles, I got different installation directories, like /usr/local/com, usr/local/var, but data is always read-only. How can I distribute modifiable data files with my package? I need some common directory for all users, or maybe local data in a user directory.

  Hi I have a two models, Model1 and Model2. Model2 has a FK to Model1 and FK to iteself. In the admin I show Model2 as inlines in Model1 change_form. I want to modify the way the inlines are shown in the admin. I need to group all the instances that have the same parent_model2 and display them as a readonly field with a string of 'childs' in the parent Model2 instance. I know how to use itertools.groupby (or the django version) but don't know how to do it in the admin. Or, even if "b" modifies "i" first, after that only "a" should have access to that memory( "i" ). Am I getting it correctly?

  I have plenty of java domain objects that I need to transform to DTOs. Please, don't start with the anti-pattern thing, the Domain Objects are what they are because of a long history, and I can't modify them (or not too much, see below). So, of course, we've passed the age of doing all that manually. I've looked around, and dozer seems the framework of choice for DTO mapping. But... what I'd really like is this: annotate classes and fields that I want in DTO, and run a tool that would generate the DTOs and the mappers. Does that sound too unreasonable? Does such a tool already exist?
