  • iPhone animation: how do I animate the filling up of an area?

    Consider a circle. Now consider a radius of the circle, drawn from the center of the circle towards the right. Now imagine that the radius is rotating about the center of the circle, sweeping out an area as it rotates. My problem is: I want to use iPhone's animation techniques to fill up the swept out area with a different color from the background area of the circle, as the radius rotates from 0 degrees to any chosen number of degrees about the circle. I've looked through the Core Animation API, KeyFrame Animations, etc. but I am not able to find out how to do this. Any hints will be most welcome. Thanks, Sandeep

    What's the Mac keyboard shortcut to rm a file? I know command + delete sends it to trash, but I want to permanently delete it, say with command + fn + delete. UPDATE: It doesn't look like there is one. So, I want to create a service with Automator and then assign a keyboard shortcut to it from System Preferences. I can get to Automator - Service - Service receives selected files or folders in Finder.app, but how do I write the script that then runs rm -rf #{file/folder name}?

  • File Transfer with a double SSH login.

    I'm have trouble transfering files again from my work PC, which is a linux machine to my home windows PC. My work has changed it so I now need to SSH twice before I can access my PC. So I need to: ssh username@server.name password: xxxxx I then need to do it again. ssh computer_name password: xxxxx I've tried accessing directly via my computers IP but to of no avail. Is there a way I can use pscp or file zilla to ssh twice so I can transfer files?

When I resize the Form of my Device, the Draw method is still called, but doesnt throw an Exception, it looks like this: device.Clear(ClearFlags.Target, Color.Red, 0, 0); device.BeginScene(); // here is out commented code device.EndScene(); device.Present(); In another method, I wrote this: renderToSurface.BeginScene(surfaces[currentIndex]); // here is out commented code renderToSurface.EndScene(Filter.None); and this method seems to throw a nullpointer exception when I resize the window; So my question is: - where to reset / restore / handle the renderToSurface class?   • Colouring JTree's TreeNodes

    I have a JTree which I give objects that implement the TreeNode interface, and a custom TreeModel to display them (not using DefaultMutableTreeNode). I would like to change the text colour of some nodes. I can't find anything in the docs, except javax.swing.tree.DefaultTreeCellRenderer.setTextNonSelectionColor(Color newColor), but it will change everything indiscriminately, and I only need it for some nodes (specifically, broken links, i.e. nodes whose corresponding files can't be found on the disk, should be greyed out, the rest should be default). Can it be done, and how?

  • Prevent status bar from receiving touch events

    Edit After further testing, it appears that the part of my button that are not clickable are where the status bar used to be. I'm hiding the status bar with : // -- Override point for customization after app launch [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES]; But it's still receiving touches. Any idea on how to disable this? Is there's a bounding box on an application that receives touch events? I created a few sample round rect buttons and placed them in different places in my view. The ones in the center of the view receive touch events (and show the highlighted blue color) but if I place a button near the edges of the view, only parts of them are clickable in the simulator. Is this because of Apples style guidelines? I placed a button exactly where a UITabNavigationItem would appear and only the bottom half of it is clickable.

    Intro: After reading Brad Wilson Metadata series and searching unsuccesfully on google, I was wondering: Question: Has any OS project / code been created that allows you to tag CSS styles in the Meta information, for example in my (buddy) Model, I want to be able to decorate a property with multiple CSS styles (a single style you can fake with UIHint, I want to set many possible styles - and be able to "cross-utilise") eg. public class MyModel { [DisplayCssHint("h5")] [DisplayCssHint("color:#777;")] [EditorCssHint(".myCoolTextClass")] [EditorCssHint(".myOtherCoolTextClass")] public string Title{ get;set; } [DisplayCssHint(".normaltext")] [EditorCssHint(".myCoolTextClass")] [EditorCssHint(".myOtherCoolTextClass")] public string Message {get;set;} } Thoughts: I know that this does not seem like a logical place to put styling information, however as it is metadata and is discriptive... besides it would be nice to do this while prototyping - (especially being able to apply class styles and extending it further - to generate .Less files would really be cool! more to the point I would hate to write it, if its already been done ;).     With putty on windows I added some tunnel for terminal service through ssh 6664 192.168.20.44:3389 6665 192.168.20.45:3389 6666 192.168.20.46:3389 So when I connect with client to 127.0.0.1:6664 it work... Now I want to use localtest.me to select the machine directly without port number. I want when I type foo.localtest.me in TS client to connect automaticaly on the 127.0.0.1:3389 is it possible or do I need a proxy to translate port regarding domain name.

  • iPhone - Drawing 2D Shapes

    Hi guys! I have an array of 2D points which make an irregular polygon. What I want to do is draw the borders of it and then fill it with a color. I am using Cocos2d to code the game around, but I have not found a fill function in Cocos2d, only the ccDrawLine and such. Is there a simple way to draw filled shapes in Cocos2? I have also noted that Core Graphics would work beautifully for this purpose, but I am not able to integrate it with Cocos2d. I put this in to the draw function of my CCLayer: CGContextRef ctx = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); CGContextClearRect(ctx, [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]); And every time I run it i get this error: <Error>: CGContextClearRect: invalid context I really need to get this working... Any ideas?

  • Android: Create TextView that flashes when clicked

    How do I set up a TextView to flash when it is clicked? I essentially want one of the objects that is displayed in a ListActivity, but inside a normal View. I have tried to do this by adding an OnClickListener, but what I really need is something like adding an On(Un)SelectListener. Using the onClickListener, I can change the TextView background, but obviously the background stays that color. I thought of using a new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable(){ ... }) kind of thing to reset the backround after some small time, but I did not know if this would be overkill for what I'm trying to do. What would you recommend?

    Lets simplify. Lets say I have this class: class T { public string Name { get; set; } public int Age { get; set; } public int height{ get; set; } ... } and I have a DataGridView's DataSource bound to a BindingList <T>, with N columns, each one bound to each property. I need to: Allow the user to enter non validating ages, heights, etc (for instance "aaa") Color the cells with non validating values (red background) Retain the non validating values displayed until the form is closed (I don't want to lose the values entered until the form is closed, so the user has the option to correct the bad cells anytime he wants BEFORE closing the form) Keep the last correct values entered for each cell with non validating values entered. When the form is closed, ditch the non validating values and keep the last correct values entered. Is there any easy way to do this?
