    Hi, I was wondering if it is possible, in Exchange server 2010, to disable a mailbox account, lets call it mailuser and if anyone sends a E-mail for [email protected] then it will send a mail back with some sort of standard "This E-mail is no longer in use. Please write to [email protected] instead" mail. I know I can create an "out-of-office" reply from the users outlook, but it would be so much faster to do it within the exchange server.   • On demand upload server

    I'm looking for a simple application which will do something like Allow user to sign up for an ftp account -> ask admin for approval -> create ftp account for that user now it doesn't have to be FTP, in fact I would be happy with a web based tool which supported upload via some sort of java applet or something similar. I don't care about what platform it runs on, although if we could avoid PHP that would be cool. Any ideas?

  • configure monit on linux to monitor a process and then reboot

    I would like monit to monitor my service and once it's stopped then I want the computer to reboot. The process don't have a certain port that I can monitor. This is what I did: check process chat with pidfile /var/run/chat.pid start program = "/etc/init.d/chat start" stop program = "/etc/init.d/chat stop" if changed ppid then exec /sbin/reboot I tried all sort of things but it only restart my service. Any suggestion.

  • How do I reorder the playlist items in the VLC playlist window?

    In the VLC playlist window, I can't seem to drag the items around to change their order. Is that normal? In every other media player I've used before, this is possible. At the moment I'm resorting to clicking the title to sort the list in an order which is what I want, but I can't guarantee I'll always have the titles so correct! UPDATE No one? I'd have though this would be a staple feature...

  • [PCL vs PostScript] What printer driver should I use?

    I am nstalling drivers for a printer, and I have a choice of either PCL (5 or 6), or PostScript drivers? Which one would you recommend and why? The printer is HP LaserJet 2605dn, the OS is Windows 7 (x64). Do you have a rule of thumb for this sort of thing? Or is it pretty much 'see-what-works'? Thanks

  • Why 64 bit OS can't run a 16 bit application?

    Why is it that a 32 bit OS that is installed on a 64 bit CPU can run old DOS 16 bit applications, but if you install a 64 bit OS it cant run those applications directly and need some sort of emulation (that doesn't always work perfectly)? To be more specific I have an Intel Core 2 Due (64bit) procesor, and I had Windows Xp and Windows 7 (both 32bit) installed and it could run old dos applications, but now that I have installed Windows 7 64 bit it can't run those same application anymore?

  • Apache: Limit the Number of Requests/Traffic per IP?

    I would like to only allow one IP to use up to, say 1GB, of traffic per day, and if that limit is exceeded, all requests from that IP are then dropped until the next day. However, a more simple solution where the connection is dropped after a certain amount of requests would suffice. Is there already some sort of module that can do this? Or perhaps I can achieve this through something like iptables? Thanks

    The stackoverflow people thought this was more appropriate here, I put it there as it is part of a program but I can see their POV, so here it is: At the bottom of the code you can see it failing. In fact, I'll put it here at the start too because it is the problem I need to solve: [350591.924819] EXT4-fs (loop0): bad geometry: block count 9750806 exceeds size of device (9750168 blocks) I don't understand why the device is supposedly too small. I made this partition two days ago with normal fdisk, it was created and formatted with ext4 supplying no options other than the partition (/dev/sdb2) to format. The only explaination I can think of is that ext4 has the size of the partition wrong somehow but that seems very unlikely. What is wrong with my math?   • Change the sorting of "From:" mail accounts in Apple Mail

    I have 11 email accounts (work etc). When I'm creating a new message, the "from:" field is a dropdown list of my email accounts I wish to send the email from. They are in the order of how I setup my accounts initially, frustrating in hindsight, having not known how I create my accounts (what order) would be a convenience issue down the road. So, does anyone know how to modify the sort order of mail accounts?

    Is there an option or tool that will allow me to change the default naming convention for files copied into the same directory in Windows (XP) and above. e.g. from: Copy of {name}.{ext} to: {name}.{ext}.copy Currently: original_file.php Copy of original_file.php Desired: original_file.php original_file.php.copy This would make finding/working with duplicated files much easier (they auto-sort together) and the filetype (by extension) changes thus it can't accidentally "break" something (e.g. if it were a *.java file, upon compiling I would get errors)

  • Clicking sound on MacBook Pro 13" 2010 model when turning the laptop on it's horizontal axis

    When I leave my MacBook Pro 13" level for a minute or two (sometimes I only need to keep it level for a few seconds), and then pick it up and turn it on it's horizontal axis, I hear a single click, coming from either the hard drive or the Super Drive. Is the click I am hearing some sort of locking mechanism in the hard drive? Or in the Super Drive?.. And therefore nothing to worry about. Or is either my Super Drive or hard drive faulty?

  • filtering itunes library items by file location

    3 answers and unfortunately no solution yet. The Problem I've got way more than 1000 duplicated items in my iTunes Library pointing to a non-existant place (the "where" under "get info" window), along with other duplicated items and other MIAs (Missing In Action). Is there any simple way to just delete all of them and only them? From the library, of course. By that I mean some MIAs are pointing to /Volumes while some are pointing to .../music/Music/... or just .../music/.... I want to delete all pointing to /Volumes as to later I'll recover the rest. Check the image below. Some Background I tried searching for a specific key word on the path and creating smart play list, but with no result. Being able to just sort all library by path would be a perfect solution! I believe old iTunes could do that. PowerTunes can do it (sort by path) but I can't do anything with its list. I would also welcome any program able to handle this, then import and properly export back the iTunes library. Since this seems to just not be clear enough... AppleScript doesn't work That's because AppleScript just can't gather the missing info anywhere in iTunes Library. Maybe we could use AppleScript by opening the XML file, but that's a whole nother issue.     I created a script to mount a sysprepped Windows 7 image to a directory so I can edit a specific file in the image and then unmount it. The script seems to work just fine however, each time I try I seem to be getting some sort of error about the Image. Errors such as: The image is supposedly damaged or corrupted The image mounts but nothing appears in the directory So I guess the overall question is it possible to mount an syprepped Windows 7 Wim Image into a directory?

  • Can I have nginx put stuff on memcached?

    It is my understanding that nginx can query memcached for data that it serves, but you have to place them there using some other (homegrown) program. So the question is, can I have nginx fetch data from the backend and place them into memcached for future use for certain locations? Sort of not having to place all files from /images in it "by hand" but having them (mem)cached after being fetched for the first time? Any backend other than memcached would suffice also.

  • Can I enable discards on a LUKS-encrypted ssd drive in RHEL6 (and do I need to)?

    I have a RHEL 6.4 workstation, running on a LUKS-encrypted LV residing on a SSD. I found RedHat documentation stating that dm_crypt does not currently support TRIM passthrough, however I also found other sources that state the opposite (albeit for other distributions) and even that discards are not needed for recent SSD drives which use some sort of automatic garbage collection. So: 1) Can I enable TRIM/discards with my setup? 2) Do I need to, for optimal disk performance? Thanks for your thoughts.

  • Is there a way to suppress keyboard sounds picked up by a desktop microphone in Windows 7?

    The problem I'd like to solve is that my desktop microphone picks up all my keystrokes very loudly compared with my voice. Even just lightly tapping a key without depressing it causes a loud click to be picked up. I'd like a way to filter out this type of sound, while picking up voice normally. Is there any software input equalizer/filter that could do this? Or alternatively, some sort of hardware hack?
