  If I make an empty test class: public class Foo { } And I try to compile code with this statement: Foo foo = "test"; Then I get this error as expected: Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'ConsoleApplication1.Foo' However, if I change the declaration of Foo from class to interface, the error changes to this (emphasis mine): Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'ConsoleApplication1.Foo'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?) What is this "explicit conversion" which is supposed to exist?

• Vim (terminal) - copy to x clipboard and paste while suspeneded

  I have vimx installed, so I can copy in vimx to the x clipboard by using "+y and the like, which works well as long as I can keep the current vimx running. However, I also love to be able to switch to the current running shell with ctrl-z and be able to paste what I copied from vim into the shell. Does anyone know how to do this, because as soon as I suspend vim with ctr-z the x-clipboard becomes empty, until I put vim into the fg again.

• Generated queries contain schema and catalog name

  I've the same problem as described here In the generated SQL Informix expects catalog:schema.table but what's actually generated is catalog.schema.table which leads to a syntax error. Setting: hibernate.default_catalog= hibernate.default_schema= had no effect. I even removed schema and catalog from the table annotation, this caused a different issues : the query looked like that ..table same for setting catalog and schema to an empty string. • sending data packet just before closing socket

  Before disconnect the client, the server wants to send some info to the client - why do I(server) disconnect you(client). If I send packet to the info and close the client socket immediately, closesocket() returns -1 and if I use linger option to work closesocket() successfully, the info cannot be sent completely. How can I complete this and is it possible to know socket buffer is empty(means my packet sent all)? thx.

• How to set the returnURL manually when using Ajax.ActionLink

  I have this link @Ajax.ActionLink("create poll question", "CreatePoll", new { id = Model.DebateID }, new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "poll-entry-box", InsertionMode = InsertionMode.Replace, HttpMethod = "GET" }) which is pointing at a action with the [Authorize] Attribute. The login works, but the returnURL is empty so it just redirects to the index page. Is there some way to manually set the returnURL ? • Resize form based on if subform visible

  I have a form with a subform on it. If subform contains no records, it's visible property is false. In that case, I'd like the outer form to shrink so that there isn't a big empty space where the subform was. The long way to do this would be by setting the position for all the controls on the form based on whether the subform is visible. However, is there an easier way to do this (maybe with the can grow/ can shrink property)?
