  • Inserting Strings Without Trailing Spaces SQL

    I have a database with a field named Field1 that has 100 nchars per entry. Each time I add a value, it is stored as: "value (100-ValueLength Spaces) " So Basically each stored value has a string of spaces after it. This is getting to be an issue when I try doing: if (value == "Example") because of all of the empty spaces after the string. How can I get it so the stored values don't have all of these trailing spaces?

    I am running Eclipse Galileo on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Ubuntu crashed on me today, and after rebooting, I found that Eclipse has completely lost the Java Perspective (it's like the perspective and all associated views never existed) and the .metadata dir in my workspace is empty except for version.ini. What's up with that? Why did it happen? How can I prevent it? How can I recover from it?

  • Jquery interactive table - multiple instance problem

    Hello forgive me if i use the wrong terminology and the messiness of this code it is the first time I have used jquery. I am making an interactive table-product selector. Compatible systems run along the top and colour choices down the left. The table works by seeing if there is a cell is empty in a html table. If the cell is empty then that is a compatible system and a circle image is in that cell and it is selectable. When selected the product code is generated (by looking at the colour value and system name) and the relevant resource download pack can be downloaded. This works 'fine' when on its own on a page however when I have multiple instances of it on one page they interfere with each other. Only the first one works and clicking in the 2nd 3rd etc table updates the first one. I need these to function independant of each other.     Hi, I have an UITextField object in my view and want to launch a method when user press backspace button and textField is empty. First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. The only way to launch the method is when text length is 0 - press backspace - remain to 0. How to catch the event of pressing the backspace key in my UITextField ? Thanks in advance !

The hidden form field looks like this: I don't get an error or anything, but it always comes back as an empty string.

In my Page_Load i am doing everything in if(!Page.IsPostBack) so there is no chance of updating TextBox value on postback in Page_Load. Where i could be wrong? how can i get updated value?

    I'm trying the database first approach by creating an ADO.NET Entity Data Model using the Wizard with the Adventureworks2012 DB. Testing DB connection works, and the connection string is added to the App.Config. I'm selecting all the tables except the ones marked as (dbo) AWBuildVersion, DatabaseLog, and ErrorLog. When the Wizard finishes the .edmx file is blank, and if I view the file in XML view the EntityContainer is empty. I'm using VS 2010 & .NET Framework 4.0

    I have an identity mapping like so: Id(x => x.GuidId).Column("GuidId") .GeneratedBy.GuidComb().UnsavedValue(Guid.Empty); When I retrieve an object from the database, the GuidId property of my object is Guid.Empty, not the actual Guid (the property in the class is of type System.Guid). However, all of the other properties in the object are populated just fine. The database field's data type (SQL Server 2005) is uniqueidentifier, and marked as RowGuid. The application that is connecting to the database is a VB.NET Web Site project (not a "Web Application" or "MVC Web Application" - just a regular "Web Site" project). I open the NHibernate session through a custom HttpModule. No instance for (Data.Monoid.Monoid RoomId) arising from a use of `traverse' Possible fix: add an instance declaration for (Data.Monoid.Monoid RoomId) In the first argument of `(.)', namely `traverse' In the second argument of `(.)', namely `traverse . playerLocation' In the second argument of `(.)', namely `at playerId . traverse . playerLocation' Since the Monoid is required by traverse only because traverse generalizes to containers of sizes greater than one I was now wondering if there is a better way to handle this that does not require semantically nonsensical Monoid instances on all types possibly contained in one my objects I want to store in the map. Or maybe I misunderstood the issue here completely and I need to use a completely different bit of the rather large lens package?

  • Creating a binary file from an IntelHex in C#

    I'm trying to create a binary file from a intelHex file. Iside the intelHex file I have data and address to which I should write the data inside the binary file. Looks like there is some random data added to the file and I do not know from where. First time I saw that there is an additional data before the data from the intelHex file. For instance first data line starts with 21, but in binary file I have a number 12 before the 21. I do not know what is wrong here. Hope someone can help me or guide me where I can find some usefull informations about creating binary files in C#

    I want to extend the DataGrid component so that there is a (read-only) column for the row number like you see in spreadsheets. I came across this article http://www.cflex.net/showFileDetails.cfm?ObjectID=735 but it depends on the data being unique for each row so that it can index into the array. If the data is not unique (like for an empty grid) it doesn't work. How can I implement that?
