    How do I find out which user entered the most articles and then count how many articles that user entered using PHP & MySQL. Here is my MySQL tables.   • C++ string.substr() function problem

    I want to make a program that will read some number in string format and output it like this: if the number is 12345 it should then output 12 23 34 45 . I tried using the substr() function from the c++ string library, but it gives me strange results - it outputs 1 23 345 45 instead of the expected result.   • Assigning unsigned char* buffer to a string

    This question might be asked before but I couldn't find exactly what I need. My problem is, I have a buffer loaded by data downloaded from a webservice. The buffer is in unsigned char* form in which there is no '\0' at the end. Then I have a poco xml parser needs a string. I tried assigning it to string but now I realized it would cause problem such as leaking. here is the code: DOMParser::DOMParser(unsigned char* consatData, int consatDataSize, unsigned char* lagData, int lagDataSize) { Poco::XML::DOMParser parser; std::string consat; consat.assign((const char*) consatData, consatDataSize); pDoc = parser.parseString(consat); ParseConsat(); } Poco xml parser does have a ParseMemory which need a const char* and size of data but for some reason it just gives me segmentation fault. So I think it's safer to turn it to string. Thanks in advance.

I want, in VB.Net, to get the 'COMMANDHERE' part of the string, how would I go about doing this? I have this so far: Dim temp As String = WebBrowser1.Document.Body.ToString Dim startIndex As Integer = temp.IndexOf("!#__KT__#!") + 1 Dim endIndex As Integer = temp.IndexOf("!#__KT__#!", startIndex) Dim extraction As String = temp.Substring(startIndex, endIndex - startIndex).Trim TextBox1.Text = extraction However this only removes the LAST string eg: #_KT_#!     i am converting from access to mysql i have a table in access where one of the columns is an autonumber when i transfer the data into the mysql database (where i also have a column that is auto_increment), should i be transfering the auto_increment data into the auto_increment column, or will it auto_increment itself? how do i ensure that if i do not transfer the autoincrement data from access, that it auto_increments properly?

String str = "Name_XYZ_"; str = "XYZ_NAME_"; So how can I replace "Name_" or "_NAME_" from above two strings with empty string? The conditions are "Name" can be in any case and it can be at index 0 or at any index but preceded by "_". So far I tried, String replacedString = str.replaceAll("(?i)Name_", ""); // This is not correct. This is not the homework. I am working on XML file that needs such kind of processing. Please help. What string format should I use to support both 01/01/2010 and 1/1/2010?

  • which is better, creating a view or a new table?

    I have some demanding mysql queries that are needed to grap same datasets from several mysql tables. I am thinking of creating a table or view to gather all demanding columns from other tables, so as to increase performance. If I create that table, I may need to do extra insert / update / delete operation each time other tables updated. if I create view, I am worrying if the performance can be greatly improved. Because data from other tables are changing very frequently. Most likely, the view may need to be created first everytime before selecting it. Any ideas? e.g. how to cache? other extra measures I can do?

    I'm trying to select the order total sum ($) and invoice count over a 5 day period in a single query. I can't seem to get this to happen though. The current query I have is here...     I am operating on a (not so) large graph having about 380K edges. I wrote a program to count the number of 3-cliques in the graph. A quick example: List of edges: A - B B - C C - A C - D List of cliques: A - B - C A 3-clique is nothing but a triangle in a graph. Currently, I am doing this using PHP+MySQL. As expected, it is not fast enough. Is there a way to do this in pure MySQL? (perhaps a way to insert all 3-cliques into a table?)

Say i have the following line in my program: jobSetupErrors.append("abc"); In the case above where jobSetupErrors is a StringBuilder(), what i see happen is: New String Object is created and assigned value "abc" value of that String object is assigned to the existing StringBuilder object If that is correct, and I add 1 more line ... jobSetupErrors.append("abc"); logger.info("abc"); In the above example are we creating String object separately 2 times? If so, would it be more proper to do something like this? String a = "abc"; jobSetupErrors.append(a); logger.info(a); Is this a better approach? Please advise

    When I try to put a value into a DATE field which is invalid, MySQL seems to use 0000-00-00 instead. Is there a way I can do this "check" without updating a DATE field? And to do it from for example PHP? Like, is there a way I can query the MySQL server and ask "Hey, is this DATE, TIME or DATETIME valid to you?" Or is there maybe an even better way of doing it?
