  • Blackberry storm 9530 tracing touch events while scrolling

    - by SWATI
    hey in my screen there is a an edit field and 2 custom button fields as "OK" and "CANCEL" Below buttonfield there are some more focussable label fields when i write a name in edit field and press enter then focus comes to "OK" button but how to set focus on "CANCEL" button. Moreover while scrolling the focus does not automatically move ahead??? what to do may be i m confused with touch events and their handling!!! Kindly help!!!!!!!!!!!! Code: txt_Name = new EditField(TextField.NO_NEWLINE) { public void paint(net.rim.device.api.ui.Graphics g) { g.setColor(Color.MAROON); super.paint(g); } }; txt_Name.setFont(font); v1 = new VerticalFieldManager(); v1.add(txt_Name ); ButtonField btn1 = new ButtonField("OK",ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK); ButtonField btn2 = new ButtonField("CANCEL",ButtonField.CONSUME_CLICK); v2 = new VerticalFieldManager(); v2.add(btn1); v2.add(btn2); LabelField l1 = new LabelField("Hello Moon ",Field.Focussable); LabelField l2 = new LabelField("Hello Citizen",Field.Focussable); LabelField l3 = new LabelField("Hello People",Field.Focussable); LabelField l4 = new LabelField("Hello world",Field.Focussable); v3 = new VerticalFieldManager(); v3.add(l1); v3.add(l2); v3.add(l3); v3.add(l4); add(v1); add(v2); add(v3); } protected boolean navigationClick(int status, int time) { if(OK.isFocus()) { //execute some code return true; } if(CANCEL.isFocus()) { //execute some code return true; } }

  • Open layers multiple mouseover events for multiple markers

    - by Bren G.
    I have the following loop inside an function init(); which is executed "onload", I am having traouble attaching the mouseover event for each marker, the alert i always returns the value of the last loop/iteration? for(i=0; i<document.getElementById('departureSelect').options.length; i++){ var coords = eval(document.getElementById('departureSelect').options[i].value); if(i==0){ window['popup'+i] = new OpenLayers.Marker(new OpenLayers.LonLat(coords[0], coords[1]),icon); }else{ window['popup'+i] = new OpenLayers.Marker(new OpenLayers.LonLat(coords[0], coords[1]),icon.clone()); } window['z'+i] = new OpenLayers.Popup.Anchored(coords[2], new OpenLayers.LonLat(coords[0], coords[1]), new OpenLayers.Size(0,0), '<span class="country-label">' + coords[2] + '</span>', icon, false ); window['z'+i].autoSize = true; window['z'+i].setBorder('1px solid #888'); map.addPopup(window['z'+i]); window['z'+i].hide(); window['popup'+i].events.register('mouseover', window['popup'+i], function(e){ alert(i); // only returns loast iteration of i????? }); countries.addMarker(window['popup'+i]); }

  • Adding click/double-click events to static group box controls

    - by omatai
    Having realised my own reasons were way too dubious, I've now gone about this a different way. But I'm still curious... For reasons of nostalgia, familiarity and laziness, I'm coding a UI with MFC. For dubious reasons (as if those were not enough), I wanted to add a (double-)click event to a group box. Naturally, the group box contains things - in fact, it contains another static item, to which I can successfully add a (double-)click event handler. Is there any reason I cannot get an event handler to work for clicks on my group box the same way I can do that for the simple text static item? No amount of clicking on, in or near the control fires the event. Note - I've read through http://www.codeproject.com/KB/static/staticctrl_tut.aspx and tried responding to both ON_STN_... events and ON_BN_... messages, setting the notify style (BS_NOTIFY appears in the rc file)... and still I'm missing something - what is it? Is it even possible? Most of what I've googled suggests it is... but without clear answers for C++/MFC. Since first posting this question, I've found reference to a WM_NCHITTEST message, and hints that you have to create a handler for this message to override the group box default behaviour of responding with HT_TRANSPARENT... despite having its transparent property in ClassWizard set to false. Hmmm. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed the key?

  • Adding a UITapGestureRecognizer to a view then removing seems to short circuit button events

    - by heymon
    In the code below I am popping up a ImageView as the result of a users touchUpInside on a simple info button. There are other buttons on the view. To dismiss the info I added a UITapGestureRecognizer to my controllers view, and hide the view when the tap is detected. If I don't remove the tapGestureRecognizer, the action is called every time some. Even when I do remove the gesture action, no bottons receive touchUpInside events once this gesture recognizer is added. Why? Code from my MainViewController (void) dismissInfo: (UITapGestureRecognizer *)gesture { [kInfoView setHidden: YES]; [gesture removeTarget: self action: NULL]; } (IBAction) displayInfo { CGRect startFrame = CGRectMake(725, 25, 0, 0), origFrame; CGFloat yCenter = [kInfoView frame].size.height/2 + 200; CGPoint startCenter = CGPointMake(724, 25), displayCenter = CGPointMake(384, yCenter); UITapGestureRecognizer *g = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget: self action: @selector(dismissInfo:)]; [self.view addGestureRecognizer: g]; origFrame = [kInfoView frame]; [kInfoView setCenter: startCenter]; [kInfoView setHidden: NO]; [kInfoView setFrame: startFrame]; [UIView beginAnimations: @"info" context: nil]; [UIView setAnimationDuration: .5]; [UIView setAnimationDelegate: self]; [kInfoView setFrame: origFrame]; [kInfoView setCenter: displayCenter]; [UIView commitAnimations]; }

  • WinForms GDI+ Polygon Events and custom shaped panels

    - by JD
    I have converted postcode boundary polygons to point data (point[] for each polygon) from GIS Shape Files. I am wanting to show this in a c# windows forms application. I have managed to show this using the System.Drawing (GDI+) DrawPolygon() method. Graphics g = this.CreateGraphics(); Pen pen = new Pen(Color.Black); Brush brush = new SolidBrush(Color.FromArgb(255,255,o)); PointF[] ptr = { point data here }; g.FillPolygon(brush, ptr); g.DrawPolygon(pen, ptr); Is it possible to add events to a drawn polygon? If so how do I do this for individual polygons. For example, click on a postcode polygon and a messagebox shows information about the postcode. Secondly, would it be easier to make a custom control inheriting the winforms panel. Is there a way to shape the border of a winforms panel control using a set of points? Postcode objects are serialised and stored in the filesystem.

  • Using Rx to synchronize asynchronous events

    - by Martin Liversage
    I want to put Reactive Extensions for .NET (Rx) to good use and would like to get some input on doing some basic tasks. To illustrate what I'm trying to do I have a contrived example where I have an external component with asyncronous events: class Component { public void BeginStart() { ... } public event EventHandler Started; } The component is started by calling BeginStart(). This method returns immediately, and later, when the component has completed startup, the Started event fires. I want to create a synchronous start method by wrapping the component and wait until the Started event is fired. This is what I've come up with so far: class ComponentWrapper { readonly Component component = new Component(); void StartComponent() { var componentStarted = Observable.FromEvent<EventArgs>(this.component, "Started"); using (var startedEvent = new ManualResetEvent(false)) using (componentStarted.Take(1).Subscribe(e => { startedEvent.Set(); })) { this.componenet.BeginStart(); startedEvent.WaitOne(); } } } I would like to get rid of the ManualResetEvent, and I expect that Rx has a solution. But how?

  • dynamically created controls and responding to control events

    - by Dirk
    I'm working on an ASP.NET project in which the vast majority of the forms are generated dynamically at run time (form definitions are stored in a DB for customizability). Therefore, I have to dynamically create and add my controls to the Page every time OnLoad fires, regardless of IsPostBack. This has been working just fine and .NET takes care of managing ViewState for these controls. protected override void OnLoad(EventArgs e) { base.OnLoad(e); RenderDynamicControls() } private void RenderDynamicControls(){ //1. call service layer to retrieve form definition //2. create and add controls to page container } I have a new requirement in which if a user clicks on a given button (this button is created at design time) the page should be re-rendered in a slightly different way. So in addition to the code that executes in OnLoad (i.e. RenderDynamicControls()), I have this code: protected void MyButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { RenderDynamicControlsALittleDifferently() } private void RenderDynamicControlsALittleDifferently() (){ //1. clear all controls from the page container added in RenderDynamicControls() //2. call service layer to retrieve form definition //3. create and add controls to page container } My question is, is this really the only way to accomplish what I'm after? It seems beyond hacky to effectively render the form twice simply to respond to a button click. I gather from my research that this is simply how the page-lifecycle works in ASP.NET: Namely, that OnLoad must fire on every Postback before child events are invoked. Still, it's worthwhile to check with the SO community before having to drink the kool-aid. On a related note, once I get this feature completed, I'm planning on throwing an UpdatePanel on the page to perform the page updates via Ajax. Any code/advice that make that transition easier would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • My cocoa app won't capture key events

    - by Oscar
    Hi, i usually develop for iPhone. But now trying to make a pong game in Cocoa desktop application. Working out pretty well, but i can't find a way to capture key events. Here's my code: #import "PongAppDelegate.h" #define GameStateRunning 1 #define GameStatePause 2 #define BallSpeedX 10 #define BallSpeedY 15 @implementation PongAppDelegate @synthesize window, leftPaddle, rightPaddle, ball; - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(NSNotification *)aNotification { gameState = GameStateRunning; ballVelocity = CGPointMake(BallSpeedX, BallSpeedY); [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:0.05 target:self selector:@selector(gameLoop) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; } - (void)gameLoop { if(gameState == GameStateRunning) { [ball setFrameOrigin:CGPointMake(ball.frame.origin.x + ballVelocity.x, ball.frame.origin.y + ballVelocity.y)]; if(ball.frame.origin.x + 15 > window.frame.size.width || ball.frame.origin.x < 0) { ballVelocity.x =- ballVelocity.x; } if(ball.frame.origin.y + 35 > window.frame.size.height || ball.frame.origin.y < 0) { ballVelocity.y =- ballVelocity.y; } } } - (void)keyDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent { NSLog(@"habba"); // Arrow keys are associated with the numeric keypad if ([theEvent modifierFlags] & NSNumericPadKeyMask) { [window interpretKeyEvents:[NSArray arrayWithObject:theEvent]]; } else { [window keyDown:theEvent]; } } - (void)dealloc { [ball release]; [rightPaddle release]; [leftPaddle release]; [super dealloc]; } @end

  • Events + Adapter Pattern

    - by Stretto
    I have an adapter pattern on a generic class that essentially adapts between types: class A<T> { event EventHandler e; } class Aadapter<T1, T2> : A<T1> { A<T2> a; Aadapter(A<T2> _a) { a = _a; } } The problem is that A contains an event. I effectively want all event handlers assigned to Adapter to fall through to a. It would be awesome if I could assign the a's event handler to adapter's event handler but this is impossible? The idea here is that A is almost really just A but we need a way to adapt the them. Because of the way event's work I can't how to efficiently do it except manually add two event handlers and when they are called they "relay" the to the other event. This isn't pretty though and it would seem much nicer if I could have something like class A<T> { event EventHandler e; } class Aadapter<T1, T2> : A<T1> { event *e; A<T2> a; Aadapter(A<T2> _a) { a = _a; e = a.e; } } in a sense we have a pointer to the event that we can assign a2's event to. I doubt there is any simple way but maybe someone has some idea to make it work. (BTW, I realize this is possible with virtual events but I'd like to avoid this if at all possible)

  • Convert C# (with typed events) to VB.NET

    - by Steven
    I have an ASPX page (with VB Codebehind). I would like to extend the GridView class to show the header / footer when no rows are returned. I found a C# example online (link) (source). However, I cannot convert it to VB because it uses typed events (which are not legal in VB). I have tried several free C# to VB.NET converters online, but none have worked. Please convert the example to VB.NET or provide an alternate method of extending the GridView class. Notes / Difficulties: If you get an error with DataView objects, specify the type as System.Data.DataView and the type comparison could be the following: If data.[GetType]() Is GetType(System.Data.DataView) Then Since the event MustAddARow cannot have a type in VB (and RaiseEvent event doesn't have a return value), how can I compare it to Nothing in the function OnMustAddARow()? EDIT: The following is a sample with (hopefully) relevant code to help answer the question. namespace AlwaysShowHeaderFooter { public delegate IEnumerable MustAddARowHandler(IEnumerable data); public class GridViewAlwaysShow : GridView { ////////////////////////////////////// // Various member functions omitted // ////////////////////////////////////// protected IEnumerable OnMustAddARow(IEnumerable data) { if (MustAddARow == null) { throw new NullReferenceException("The datasource has no rows. You must handle the \"MustAddARow\" Event."); } return MustAddARow(data); } public event MustAddARowHandler MustAddARow; } }

  • Trouble managing events in Flex/actionscript

    - by Zaka
    Hello all, I'm doing some newbie tests, so I decided to capture the keyboard events to move a rectangle. But I don't get the desired result. Unless I click on the TextArea box, I'm not able to capture the event key code. After that, all goes pretty well. I'm using Eclipse 3.3 + Flex 3.0 on Linux. Here's my code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" enterFrame="enterFrame(event)" keyDown="onKeyDown(event)"> <mx:TextArea id="myText" x="200" y="200" width="100" height="100" /> <mx:Canvas id="myCanvas" x="0" y="0" width="100" height="100" /> <mx:Script> <![CDATA[ public var clearColor : uint = 0xFF456798; public var myPoint : Point = new Point(0,0); public function enterFrame(event:Event):void { myCanvas.graphics.clear(); myCanvas.graphics.beginFill(0xFF344ff0); myCanvas.graphics.drawRect(myPoint.x,myPoint.y,40,40); myCanvas.graphics.endFill(); } public function onKeyDown(event:KeyboardEvent):void { myText.text = "Keycode is: " + event.keyCode + "\n"; switch(event.keyCode) { case 37: //Left myPoint.x -= 1; break; case 38: //Up myPoint.y -= 1; break; case 39: //Right myPoint.x += 1; break; case 40: //Down myPoint.y += 1; break; } } ]]> </mx:Script> </mx:Application>

  • Binding Events rather than using onclick

    - by Abs
    Hello all, I have been told its better to bind events to elements rather than having onclicks with functions everywhere. I agree with this as it devolves more from the HTML which means cleaner and easier to debug code. But I am having trouble doing this! I loop through some data with PHP (see below) and I currently use onclick to call a function. How can I bind this onclick event to many elements using JQuery. <?php foreach($main_tags as $key=>$value){ ?> <li> <a id="<?php echo $key; ?>" href="#" onclick="tag_search('<?php echo $key; ?>'); return false;"> <?php echo $key; ?> <span class="num-active"> <?php echo $value; ?> </span> </a> </li> <?php } ?> Thanks all for any help

  • Free web-based software for team collaboration/documentation

    - by Jason Antman
    Looking for some advice here, as my search has turned up to be pretty fruitless. My group (9 people - SAs, programmers, and two network guys) is looking for some sort of web tool to... ahem... "facilitate increased collaboration" (we didn't use a buzzword generator, I swear). At the moment, we have an unified ticketing system that's braindead, but is here to stay for political/logistical reasons. We've got 2 wikis ("old" and "new"), neither of which fulfill our needs, and are therefore not used very often. We're looking for a free (as in both cost and open source) web-based tool. Management side: Wants to be able to track project status, who's doing what, whether deadlines are being met, etc. Doesn't want full-fledged "project management" app, just something where we can update "yeah this was done" or "waiting for Bob to configure the widgets". TeamBox (www.teambox.com) was suggested, but it seems almost too gimmicky, and doesn't meet any of the other requirements: Non-management side: - flexible, powerful wiki for all documentation (i.e. includes good tables, easy markup, syntax highlighting, etc.) - good full text search of everything (i.e. type in a hostname and get every instance anyone ever uttered that name) - task lists or ToDo lists, hopefully about to be grouped into a number of "projects" - file uploads - RSS or Atom feeds, email alerts of updates We're open to doing some customizations (adding some features, notification/feeds, searching, SVN integration, etc.) but need something F/OSS that will run under Apache. My conundrum is that most of the choices I've found so far fall into one of these categories: project management/task tracking with poor wiki/documentation/knowledge base support wiki with no task tracking support ticketing system with everything else bolted on (we already have one that we're stuck with) code-centric application (we do little "development", mostly SA work) Any suggestions? Or, lacking that, any comments on which software would be easiest to add the lacking features to (hopefully ending up with something that actually looks good and works well)?

  • Integrating Oracle Hyperion Smart View Data Queries with MS Word and Power Point

    - by Andreea Vaduva
    Untitled Document table { border: thin solid; } Most Smart View users probably appreciate that they can use just one add-in to access data from the different sources they might work with, like Oracle Essbase, Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and others. But not all of them are aware of the options to integrate data analyses not only in Excel, but also in MS Word or Power Point. While in the past, copying and pasting single numbers or tables from a recent analysis in Excel made the pasted content a static snapshot, copying so called Data Points now creates dynamic, updateable references to the data source. It also provides additional nice features, which can make life easier and less stressful for Smart View users. So, how does this option work: after building an ad-hoc analysis with Smart View as usual in an Excel worksheet, any area including data cells/numbers from the database can be highlighted in order to copy data points - even single data cells only.   TIP It is not necessary to highlight and copy the row or column descriptions   Next from the Smart View ribbon select Copy Data Point. Then transfer to the Word or Power Point document into which the selected content should be copied. Note that in these Office programs you will find a menu item Smart View;from it select the Paste Data Point icon. The copied details from the Excel report will be pasted, but showing #NEED_REFRESH in the data cells instead of the original numbers. =After clicking the Refresh icon on the Smart View menu the data will be retrieved and displayed. (Maybe at that moment a login window pops up and you need to provide your credentials.) It works in the same way if you just copy one single number without any row or column descriptions, for example in order to incorporate it into a continuous text: Before refresh: After refresh: From now on for any subsequent updates of the data shown in your documents you only need to refresh data by clicking the Refresh button on the Smart View menu, without copying and pasting the context or content again. As you might realize, trying out this feature on your own, there won’t be any Point of View shown in the Office document. Also you have seen in the example, where only a single data cell was copied, that there aren’t any member names or row/column descriptions copied, which are usually required in an ad-hoc report in order to exactly define where data comes from or how data is queried from the source. Well, these definitions are not visible, but they are transferred to the Word or Power Point document as well. They are stored in the background for each individual data cell copied and can be made visible by double-clicking the data cell as shown in the following screen shot (but which is taken from another context).   So for each cell/number the complete connection information is stored along with the exact member/cell intersection from the database. And that’s not all: you have the chance now to exchange the members originally selected in the Point of View (POV) in the Excel report. Remember, at that time we had the following selection:   By selecting the Manage POV option from the Smart View meny in Word or Power Point…   … the following POV Manager – Queries window opens:   You can now change your selection for each dimension from the original POV by either double-clicking the dimension member in the lower right box under POV: or by selecting the Member Selector icon on the top right hand side of the window. After confirming your changes you need to refresh your document again. Be aware, that this will update all (!) numbers taken from one and the same original Excel sheet, even if they appear in different locations in your Office document, reflecting your recent changes in the POV. TIP Build your original report already in a way that dimensions you might want to change from within Word or Power Point are placed in the POV. And there is another really nice feature I wouldn’t like to miss mentioning: Using Dynamic Data Points in the way described above, you will never miss or need to search again for your original Excel sheet from which values were taken and copied as data points into an Office document. Because from even only one single data cell Smart View is able to recreate the entire original report content with just a few clicks: Select one of the numbers from within your Word or Power Point document by double-clicking.   Then select the Visualize in Excel option from the Smart View menu. Excel will open and Smart View will rebuild the entire original report, including POV settings, and retrieve all data from the most recent actual state of the database. (It might be necessary to provide your credentials before data is displayed.) However, in order to make this work, an active online connection to your databases on the server is necessary and at least read access to the retrieved data. But apart from this, your newly built Excel report is fully functional for ad-hoc analysis and can be used in the common way for drilling, pivoting and all the other known functions and features. So far about embedding Dynamic Data Points into Office documents and linking them back into Excel worksheets. You can apply this in the described way with ad-hoc analyses directly on Essbase databases or using Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Financial Management ad-hoc web forms. If you are also interested in other new features and smart enhancements in Essbase or Hyperion Planning stay tuned for coming articles or check our training courses and web presentations. • Orchestrating the Virtual Enterprise

    - by John Murphy
    During the American Industrial Revolution, the Ford Motor Company did it all. It turned raw materials into a showroom full of Model Ts. It owned a steel mill, a glass factory, and an automobile assembly line. The company was both self-sufficient and innovative and went on to become one of the largest and most profitable companies in the world. Nowadays, it's unusual for any business to follow this vertical integration model because its much harder to be best in class across such a wide a range of capabilities and services. Instead, businesses focus on their core competencies and outsource other business functions to specialized suppliers. They exchange vertical integration for collaboration. When done well, all parties benefit from this arrangement and the collaboration leads to the creation of an agile, lean and successful "virtual enterprise." Case in point: For Sun hardware, Oracle outsources most of its manufacturing and all of its logistics to third parties. These are vital activities, but ones where Oracle doesn't have a core competency, so we shift them to business partners who do. Within our enterprise, we always retain the core functions of product development, support, and most of the sales function, because that's what constitutes our core value to our customers. This is a perfect example of a virtual enterprise.  What are the implications of this? It means that we must exchange direct internal control for indirect external collaboration. This fundamentally changes the relative importance of different business processes, the boundaries of security and information sharing, and the relationship of the supply chain systems to the ERP. The challenge is that the systems required to support this virtual paradigm are still mired in "island enterprise" thinking. But help is at hand. Developments such as the Web, social networks, collaboration, and rules-based orchestration offer great potential to fundamentally re-architect supply chain systems to better support the virtual enterprise.  Supply Chain Management Systems in a Virtual Enterprise Historically enterprise software was constructed to automate the ERP - and then the supply chain systems extended the ERP. They were joined at the hip. In virtual enterprises, the supply chain system needs to be ERP agnostic, sitting above each of the ERPs that are distributed across the virtual enterprise - most of which are operating in other businesses. This is vital so that the supply chain system can manage the flow of material and the related information through the multiple enterprises. It has to have strong collaboration tools. It needs to be highly flexible. Users need to be able to see information that's coming from multiple sources and be able to react and respond to events across those sources.  Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration (DOO) is a perfect example of a supply chain system designed to operate in this virtual way. DOO embraces the idea that a company's fulfillment challenge is a distributed, multi-enterprise problem. It enables users to manage the process and the trading partners in a uniform way and deliver a consistent user experience while operating over a heterogeneous, virtual enterprise. This is a fundamental shift at the core of managing supply chains. It forces virtual enterprises to think architecturally about how best to construct their supply chain systems.  Case in point, almost everyone has ordered from Amazon.com at one time or another. Our orders are as likely to be fulfilled by third parties as they are by Amazon itself. To deliver the order promptly and efficiently, Amazon has to send it to the right fulfillment location and know the availability in that location. It needs to be able to track status of the fulfillment and deal with exceptions. As a virtual enterprise, Amazon's operations, using thousands of trading partners, requires a very different approach to fulfillment than the traditional 'take an order and ship it from your own warehouse' model. Amazon had no choice but to develop a complex, expensive and custom solution to tackle this problem as there used to be no product solution available. Now, other companies who want to follow similar models have a better off-the-shelf choice -- Oracle Distributed Order Orchestration (DOO).  Consider how another of our customers is using our distributed orchestration solution. This major airplane manufacturer has a highly complex business and interacts regularly with the U.S. Government and major airlines. It sits in the middle of an intricate supply chain and needed to improve visibility across its many different entities. Oracle Fusion DOO gives the company an orchestration mechanism so it could improve quality, speed, flexibility, and consistency without requiring an organ transplant of these highly complex legacy systems. Many retailers face the challenge of dealing with brick and mortar, Web, and reseller channels. They all need to be knitted together into a virtual enterprise experience that is consistent for their customers. When a large U.K. grocer with a strong brick and mortar retail operation added an online business, they turned to Oracle Fusion DOO to bring these entities together. Disturbing the Peace with Acquisitions Quite often a company's ERP system is disrupted when it acquires a new company. An acquisition can inject a new set of processes and systems -- or even introduce an entirely new business like Sun's hardware did at Oracle. This challenge has been a driver for some of our DOO customers. A large power management company is using Oracle Fusion DOO to provide the flexibility to rapidly integrate additional products and services into its central fulfillment operation. The Flip Side of Fulfillment Meanwhile, we haven't ignored similar challenges on the supply side of the equation. Specifically, how to manage complex supply in a flexible way when there are multiple trading parties involved? How to manage the supply to suppliers? How to manage critical components that need to merge in a tier two or tier three supply chain? By investing in supply orchestration solutions for the virtual enterprise, we plan to give users better visibility into their network of suppliers to help them drive down costs. We also think this technology and full orchestration process can be applied to the financial side of organizations. An example is transactions that flow through complex internal structures to minimize tax exposure. We can help companies manage those transactions effectively by thinking about the internal organization as a virtual enterprise and bringing the same solution set to this internal challenge.  The Clear Front Runner No other company is investing in solving the virtual enterprise supply chain issues like Oracle is. Oracle is in a unique position to become the gold standard in this market space. We have the infrastructure of Oracle technology. We already have an Oracle Fusion DOO application which embraces the best of what's required in this area. And we're absolutely committed to extending our Fusion solution to other use cases and delivering even more business value.

  • C# How to unsubscribe all event handlers from a given event?

    - by Adi Barda
    Hi Guys, Is there a simple way to iterate all over the handlers subscribed to a given event? my problem is that clients subscribe but forget to unsubscribe so a memory leak happens. I need a way for an object to disconnect all the handlers of its events in the Dispose method so a leak would not happen - at least not because of events. Hope my question was clear thank you, Adi Barda

  • WPF ListBox not binding to INotifyCollectionChanged or INotifyPropertyChanged Events

    - by Gabe Anzelini
    I have the following test code: private class SomeItem{ public string Title{ get{ return "something"; } } public bool Completed { get { return false; } set { } } } private class SomeCollection : IEnumerable<SomeItem>, INotifyCollectionChanged { private IList<SomeItem> _items = new List<SomeItem>(); public void Add(SomeItem item) { _items.Add(item); CollectionChanged(this, new NotifyCollectionChangedEventArgs(NotifyCollectionChangedAction.Reset)); } #region IEnumerable<SomeItem> Members public IEnumerator<SomeItem> GetEnumerator() { return _items.GetEnumerator(); } #endregion #region IEnumerable Members System.Collections.IEnumerator System.Collections.IEnumerable.GetEnumerator() { return _items.GetEnumerator(); } #endregion #region INotifyCollectionChanged Members public event NotifyCollectionChangedEventHandler CollectionChanged; #endregion } private SomeCollection collection = new SomeCollection(); private void Expander_Expanded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { var expander = (Expander) sender; var list = expander.DataContext as ITaskList; var listBox = (ListBox)expander.Content; //list.Tasks.CollectionChanged += CollectionChanged; collection.Add(new SomeItem()); collection.Add(new SomeItem()); listBox.ItemsSource = collection; } and the XAML the outer listbox gets populated on load. when the expander gets expanded i then set the itemssource property of the inner listbox (the reason i do this hear instead of using binding is this operation is quite slow and i only want it to take place if the use chooses to view the items). The inner listbox renders fine, but it doesn't actually subscribe to the CollectionChanged event on the collection. I have tried this with ICollection instead of IEnumerable and adding INotifyPropertyChanged as well as replacing INotifyCollectionChanged with INotifyPropertyChanged. The only way I can actually get this to work is to gut my SomeCollection class and inherit from ObservableCollection. My reasoning for trying to role my own INotifyCollectionChanged instead of using ObservableCollection is because I am wrapping a COM collection in the real code. That collection will notify on add/change/remove and I am trying to convert these to INotify events for WPF. Hope this is clear enough (its late).

  • Which is a good opensource user management system?

    - by Lost_in_code
    I'm new to php/mySQL and am trying to create a website which will allow users to register. In future, there will be a paid content area where content will be shown based on the payment status. Is there a good opensource lightweight framework which takes care of the user management part? (Register, edit user info, retrieve lost password etc). I'm a flash platform developer and not aware of how to take care of stuff like session hijacking, XSS etc. Should I go ahead and learn to do all this on my own, without using any framework? I thought of using Wordpress' user management system, but not sure how easy that would be. Any suggestion would be great.

  • NHibernate Session Management Advice

    - by Hugusta
    I need some advice on NHibernate Session Management for a C# WinForms application. I am currently porting an application to use NHibernate. I am also employing a UnitOfWork pattern as described in the link below; http://nhforge.org/wikis/patternsandpractices/nhibernate-and-the-unit-of-work-pattern.aspx My question relates to Sessions. Can you only have one session running per thread at all times? I have a scenario in which a Session (UnitOfWork) may be open for a form shown by the application but the user opens another form (i.e. Tools - Options) which I would like to have its own UnitOfWork. Clearly in this instance it would make more sense to open another Session for the "Tools - Options" form and not use the currently open session for the underlying form. Can we have a Dictionary of Sessions on the one thread? Any advice on session management is appreciated.

  • "RFC 2833 RTP Event" Consecutive Events and the E "End" Bit

    - by brian_d
    Hello, I can send out a RFC 2833 dtmf event as outlined at http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2833.txt When I do set the E "End" bit, but leave it as 0, I get the following behaviour: If for example keys 7874556332111111145855885#3 were pressed, then ALL events would be sent and show up in a program like wireshark, however only 87456321458585#3 would sound. So the first key (which I figure could be a separate issue) and any repeats of an event (ie 11111) are failing to sound. In section 3.9, figure 2 of the above linked document, they give a 911 example. Here all but the last event have the E bit set. When I set the bit for all numbers, I never get an event to sound. I have thought of a couple possible thing but do not know if they are the reason: 1) figure 2 shows payload types of 96 and 97 sent. I have not nor know how to exactly. In section 3.8, codes 96 and 97 are described as "the dynamic payload types 96 and 97 have been assigned for the redundancy mechanism and the telephone event payload respectively" 2) In section 3.5, "E:", "A sender MAY delay setting the end bit until retransmitting the last packet for a tone, rather than on its first transmission" Does anyone have an idea of how to actually do this? I have also fiddled around with timestamp intervals and the RTP marker. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here is a sample wireshark event capture of the relevant areas: 6590 31.159045000 xx.x.x.xxx --.--.---.-- RTP EVENT Payload type=RTP Event, DTMF Pound # (end) Real-Time Transport Protocol Stream setup by SDP (frame 6225) Setup frame: 6225 Setup Method: SDP 10.. .... = Version: RFC 1889 Version (2) ..0. .... = Padding: False ...0 .... = Extension: False .... 0000 = Contributing source identifiers count: 0 0... .... = Marker: False Payload type: telephone-event (101) Sequence number: 0 Extended sequence number: 65536 Timestamp: 0 Synchronization Source identifier: 0x15f27104 (368210180) RFC 2833 RTP Event Event ID: DTMF Pound # (11) 1... .... = End of Event: True .0.. .... = Reserved: False ..00 0000 = Volume: 0 Event Duration: 2048

  • Entity Framework Performance Inconsistency Compared to Sql Management Studio

    - by AndyV
    I'm getting timeouts with a very basic EF statement. I'm simply doing a select from a single table with a Entity.Title.StartsWith("test") and a .Take(25). When I run this for a search that returns no results I get a timeout. If I profile and grab the sql statement it looks fine, and if I run that sql in Management Studio it runs in a fraction of a second! Why would the same query run sub-second in Management Studio and timeout when generated by EF and called from an Asp.Net app?

  • An EventBus framework for Android

    - by Benju
    Can anybody recommend a good framework for handling events in Android? These would be business logic events like UserUpdatedEvent. I am looking for something similar to the EventBus provided by GWT-EVENT but for a JVM that supports weak-references.

  • handling NSStream events when using EASession in MonoTouch

    - by scotru
    Does anyone have an example of how to handle read and write NSStream events in Monotouch when working with accessories via EASession? It looks like there isn't a strongly typed delegate for this and I'm having trouble figuring out what selectors I need to handle on the delegates of my InputStream and OutputStream and what I actually need to do with each selector in order to properly fill and empty the buffers belonging to the EASession object. Basically, I'm trying to port Apple's EADemo app to Monotouch right now. Here's the Objective-C source that I think is relevant to this problem: / / asynchronous NSStream handleEvent method - (void)stream:(NSStream *)aStream handleEvent:(NSStreamEvent)eventCode { switch (eventCode) { case NSStreamEventNone: break; case NSStreamEventOpenCompleted: break; case NSStreamEventHasBytesAvailable: [self _readData]; break; case NSStreamEventHasSpaceAvailable: [self _writeData]; break; case NSStreamEventErrorOccurred: break; case NSStreamEventEndEncountered: break; default: break; } } / low level write method - write data to the accessory while there is space available and data to write - (void)_writeData { while (([[_session outputStream] hasSpaceAvailable]) && ([_writeData length] > 0)) { NSInteger bytesWritten = [[_session outputStream] write:[_writeData bytes] maxLength:[_writeData length]]; if (bytesWritten == -1) { NSLog(@"write error"); break; } else if (bytesWritten > 0) { [_writeData replaceBytesInRange:NSMakeRange(0, bytesWritten) withBytes:NULL length:0]; } } } // low level read method - read data while there is data and space available in the input buffer - (void)_readData { #define EAD_INPUT_BUFFER_SIZE 128 uint8_t buf[EAD_INPUT_BUFFER_SIZE]; while ([[_session inputStream] hasBytesAvailable]) { NSInteger bytesRead = [[_session inputStream] read:buf maxLength:EAD_INPUT_BUFFER_SIZE]; if (_readData == nil) { _readData = [[NSMutableData alloc] init]; } [_readData appendBytes:(void *)buf length:bytesRead]; //NSLog(@"read %d bytes from input stream", bytesRead); } [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] postNotificationName:EADSessionDataReceivedNotification object:self userInfo:nil]; } I'd also appreciate any architectural recommendations on how to best implement this in monotouch. For example, in the Objective C implementation these functions are not contained in any class--but in Monotouch would it make sense to make them members of my

  • How to sync with eclipse target management?

    - by SpliFF
    I've been using the Jcraft SFTP plugin for Team Synchronisation up till now but I ran across a rumour it's being deprecated by "Target Management". Still, despite my best efforts I haven't found any information on HOW you are supposed to setup a sync with RSE/Target Management. Can anybody provide a step-by-step guide or at least clarification on whether this is actually possible right now or just a planned feature. I do my testing locally then sync to the remote - which may have changes made by other users. I want to be able to see differences and deal with conflicts etc just like with the current Team Synchronization framework.

  • Avoiding a large number of custom EventArgs?

    - by Brian Ortiz
    The class library I'm refactoring has a large number of events (over 50) each with its own Delegate, even though many have the same arguments. I starting switching them all over to use EventHandler and custom EventArgs but it is proving to be tedious and time consuming. Is there an easier way to handle a situation like this, when you have a huge number of events?
