• Bulk Deleting All Messages in a Folder in Microsoft Outlook Web Access [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Multiple delete in Microsoft Outlook Web Access How do you delete all messages in a folder in Outlook, preferrably through Web Access? I left my Outlook account unattended for several days (on vacation) and when I got back I found several folders with over 5k emails, mostly error logging or spam. When I try to open the Outlook client, it just locks up, presumably unable to download that many emails. I can view at most 100 emails at a time, but I can't select all emails to delete or permanently delete them immediately, so manually deleting this many emails is going to take a while. Gmail has a similar feature to select and delete all emails in a folder, and that's free so I figure being a quality non-free product from Microsoft, Outlook should have a similar feature (yes that's sarcasm). I've Googled, but I'm not finding anything. Is this possible?

• Ubuntu Linux -- create custom burnable/bootable DVD image?

  I recently developed some kiosk software that runs on Ubuntu Linux, and my client needs me to set up ten more computers with the complete software package(and that number will only grow in the future). So I'm looking for a way to make this less of a pain in the neck and prevent me from shooting myself in the foot -- I had to disable some things on the installations of the operating systems like screensavers, automatic updates, etc. that would pop up and disrupt the kiosk operation. I don't feel comfortable doing that by hand across 10 computers, it seems stupid. Does anybody have recommendations for software that would let me burn an installable DVD with a complete image of the hard drive from one of the devices? I've looked at Clonezilla, G4L, and PartImage and I'm still not quite sure if any of them offer what I need. I know PartImage for sure won't work, because it doesn't support Ext4.

  I have written a shell script to start mysql server & send a mail to admin user if it's restarted via shell script. What i am facing an issue if I run this shell script on terminal it's work perfectly & If same script runs via cronjob it's only sending the mail to the user & problem remains same. Is this problem relates to permission & how can i resolve it. • Allowing Skype through Squid proxy

  I have a squid proxy running on 192.168.1.2 on port 3000. with Squid i am able to connect to internet and browse websites but skype is not connecting even after i specified proxy server in it. In the skype configuration i mentioned it to use SOCKS5 through host 192.168.1.2 and port 3000. • RSS reader that supports multiple google accounts?

  I've been looking around for an RSS reader that can handle more than 1 google account? I have multiple gmail addresses for different things in life. I separate mails this way and also RSS feeds. This works fine on google reader, but i would like to have a desktop app that can handle multiple accounts, like Thunderbird can handle multiple mail accounts. All the desktop clients I've found so far ask you for 1 google account and that's where it ends. You can't add anymore.

• Android : How to open youtube links on my facebook messenger app, in the youtube app? [migrated]

  I am unable to play YouTube videos from the links I get on my Facebook Messenger app. Here's what happens: A friend of mine posts a video link to me (YouTube link) as a message on Facebook. I receive it on my Android mobile in the Facebook messenger app. I click on it and it shows a Dialogue-Box (you can call that a pop-up) which asks me to choose an app to open the video with. Now earlier, there used to be the video player apps in my mobile along with the internet browsers installed on my mobile that used to come up there. So I would select an internet browser, and it in turn would re-direct me to the "YouTube" app itself. However, now, I am only getting video-players in that Dialogue Box as an option to open the YouTube video, but of course, if I select them, they are not able to stream the video. Has anyone found a way around this problem? It is really bothersome.

• How do I image my hard drive for backup? Or do I just need to backup the files?

  I have never imaged a hard drive, so I don't know what software to use or how to prepare my system for imaging. Is this the best way to backup? In the past, I've always just kept a copy of my important files on an external drive and in Gmail or DropBox for smaller stuff, but it would be nice to just take one image and restore from that if something ever goes wrong. Thanks for the help. EDIT: I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the OS. I would like to do this for my home and work computers, which are Vista and XP respectively. And actually I'm about to upgrade to Windows 7 at home, so details on that would be appreciated too.

  I want to achieve the following with postfix: Almost all outgoing emails shall be sent via a relayhost, configured in main.cf with relayhost = my.mailserver There's one specific email address ([email protected]) for which I want the email to be delivered locally. I set up a local account on the machine to match the email address and added "mydomain.com" to the mydestination property in main.cf. Then of course postfix tries to deliver every email to @mydomain.com locally and bounces them because the respective user doesn't exist. • X11 not sending windows to remote computer matlab

  I am trying to set up my home desktop, running OS X Mountain Lion, to basically do a bunch of grunt work for me remotely. I have set up ssh, and am able to remotely control the computer fine, but the issue comes in when I try to run X11 apps, like MATLAB, remotely and get windows to pop up. Every time I try to bring up a new window it either opens that window on the remote computer (not the one I am using to control it), or it tells me it can't find a display. here is how I am setting up my ssh assume my matlab alias is set up properly, which it is. ssh -X [email protected] matlab -nodesktop figure; This will open the window on the computer I am SSHing into, and not on the remote one. Basically I want that window to open on the computer I am remoting from. I changed my SSH X11Forwarding and stuff to be yes in ssh_config and sshd_config. Any other suggestions?

• Logins with only HTTP - are they as insecure as I'm thinking?

  Recently I was thinking about how websites like gmail and amazon use HTTPS during the login process when accessing your account. This makes sense, obviously, since you're typing in your account username and password and you would want that to be secure. However, on Facebook, among countless other websites, their logins are done with simple HTTP. Doesn't that mean that my login name and password are completely unencrypted? Which, even worse, means that all those people who login to their facebooks (or similar sites) at a wifi hotspot in public are susceptible to anyone getting their credentials using a simple packet sniffer (or something similar)? Is it really that easy? Or am I misunderstanding internet security? I'm a software engineer working on some web related stuff, and although at the current time I'm not too involved with the security aspect of our software, I knew I should probably know the answer to this question, since it's extremely fundamental to website security. • Firefox addon to display all shortucts

  Is there a firefox addon that would display all shortcuts on a web page and also browser shortcuts. for eg: c is the keyboard shortcut for gmail compose. So either on a particular key combination or by hovering over the compose button it should show a "c" to indicate there is a shortcut for this operation. I guess If we keep on seeing the shortcuts popping each time when we do an action then we can start using and remembering more and more of it. Thanks. • Unable to open websites that use HTTPS on linux

  I have the following network configuration: My PC 192.168.1.20/24 uses 192.168.1.1/24 as a gateway. Dlink-2760U router with Local address 192.168.1.1/24 has a VPN connection open with the provider using PPTP. Whenever I'm trying to open some web-sites that has some authorization (e.g. gmail.com, coursera.org), I'm getting a request timeout. This problem is observed mostly on linux (Ubuntu 12.04 and Debian 6.0), while most of such websites work correctly on windows XP. Could you please help me diagnose the problem? Could it be related to NAT + HTTPS? Thanks

  I need to forward e-mails to different mail accounts by different conditions. The aim is to create mail notification scheme for my company. I'd like to setup server on dedicated mail domain for it. Is there any software that helps to get my aim (Linux)? Examples: 1) forward all e-mail sent to [email protected] to x@x, y@y, z@z (no conditions) 2) forward e-mail sent to [email protected] where subject contains '[finance]' to a@b and b@b 3) forward e-mail sent to [email protected] where subject contains '[fault]' to s@s and s2@s. Receivers' domains are different. P.S. Now we use Gmail filters to get this functionality, but it's unstable and hard to maintain.

• Remove "Security Shield" (win XP)? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Computer is infected by a virus or a malware, what do I do now? I have a problem with "Security Shield". They pop up every 5 min and tell me that there are many viruses in my computer, that I should buy their license.. I have installed Sophos and don't want "Security Shield".   I've a Ubuntu webserver with Sendmail as my MTA Currently when i email outside my webserver's domain e.g. example.com to something like gmail or any other email outside the example.com domain it works perfectly. I don't want my sendmail daemon to recognize example.com as a local address I want it to send to example.com the same way any other email is sent. There will never be a case were i will use the local users on the webserver to collect these emails for example.com. So how can I disable local delivery?

• How can I access blocked sites while in China?

  I have some colleagues who need to go to China for work, however while they're there, they can't access a lot of sites. One of which is GMail (Google Apps), which they need for work. We have a UK based Ubuntu server, which I have root access for. What can I do for them? I thought about a Squid proxy, but it might rely on their hotel having port 8080 open, so, not ideal. Are there any workarounds or other solutions?

• Shockwave not responding in Google Chrome

  When browsing in Google chrome, I get an error message The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x0025bf18. I get a pop-up message later saying that the shockwave plugin is not responding. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Chrome (even by clearing my browsing data while uninstalling) and still the error persists. There are 2 instances of shockwave that I could see in my chrome by typing chrome://plugins. I've tried disabling either of those alternatively too. This prevents me from browsing a lot of sites including FB and Stackoverflow through my favorite browser. I dont have any problem when I work from Internet Explorer. Please help!

• Windows 7 64 bit will hesitate and the screen will go black

  I am running windows 7 64 bit with 2 monitors. Several time a day the system will freeze up for about 5 seconds and the screens will go black. After the 5 seconds are up, the system continues to function properly. I get no error messages that pop up and all the applications I am running handle it fine. All the devices appear fine, my drivers are up to date and nothing is jumping out at me in event viewer. What are the next troubleshooting steps I can take?

  Clamd is taking up about 5% of my memory (2GB) on my dedicated server and I'm wondering if I can disable it without any security risks. The server just hosts a few of my own websites. For the most part, email received and sent is done through gmail (which connects to my pop3 accounts). The only other email use case is where one of my websites parses all emails and grabs attached images and the subject line. Would there be any security / risks of virus infection if I disable clamd?

  I'm planning out a project (web/mobile app) that would require a mail server that could handle hundreds of thousands connections per hour (both IMAP/POP and SMTP) and has the ability to interface with PHP (or python or whatever) to dynamically create, delete and check for mailboxes? This is not for spam stuff, I just need my app to generate random mailboxes (and static/permanent ones too) to receive mail and process it for items listed on my service. The little research I've done so far has turned up courier, dovecot, cyrus and haraka. I think the ability to scale and/or load balance (I'm new to these terms, pardon me) would also be a requirement. Any ideas?

• How can I move a window that cannot be moved by mouse?

  I have downloaded a version of Finale Notepad on Windows 7. When I first used it it functioned perfectly. Every time I opened it a popup asking me about downloading a different version would show up that I could just click out of. When the pop up appeared I was unable to quit out of the window or move it at all, but it posed no issue. Apparently, though, the last time I quit out of the program, the screen must have been dragged down below my taskbar. Now, I am unable to quit out of the popup when I reopen the program, meaning I can't access it at all. I tried restarting my computer, uninstalling the program, downloading different versions of the program, and even using alternate methods of moving it, such as Alt+Tab, but nothing works.

• Best 'free' option for alert notifications other than email/SMS

  Looking for a Linux script solution that can send alerts to a service such as Twitter, Skype or Google Talk and sends to Android and iPhone clients. Have found twurl for Twitter with previous Bash scripts using curl no longer supported. But twurl looks promising. But haven't seen how to get Android Twitter client to make a distinctive sound when a tweet arrives. Found some info about Skype4Py from several years ago that supports Skype Chats. But doesn't look like it is currently supported. Have tried a few CLI clients for XMPP/Google Talk including xmpp4r-simple and freetalk, but found xmpp4r-simple buggy and freetalk succeeded in sending one chat message, but most never arrived. Whatever is used needs to support Android and iPhone clients. Reason why email is problematic is that Gmail gets very upset when emails start flooding in every minute as a result of alerts. Any suggestions?

• VMWare Input/Output error on ubuntu host Win7 guest

  I am running ubuntu 10.10 as my host with Windows 7 as the guest. About a couple weeks ago I started getting error pop-ups from vmware reporting inability to read or write to a particular file. On futher investigation, I've noticed that I cannot copy that particular file from the linux command line even as root. I get the same input/output error. The SMART utility tells me I have 69 bad sectors on the disk (it is 1 TB) So my question is 1) How do I tell if that HD is going bad? 2) How can I move the VM files to a different part of the disk if I get read/write errors when I try to copy?

• Windows/global setting to allow only SSL when on public Wifi?

  Rather than going through each of my apps and modifying settings, or tweaking individual browser settings (I use three different browsers) or just being careful not to type non-SSL URLs into the web address bar, is there a solution at the Windows level that will prevent anything from connecting to the web from my laptop unless it's using SSL? I also have mini apps installed like Gmail checker, etc that connect to the web of their own volition using my usernames, passwords and such, so it goes beyond just web browsers. The reason I'm asking is I want to work securely on the general Internet when on public Wifi (e.g. coffee shops) without a lot of hassle or having to remember everything that needs to be locked down. When I'm back home I want to go back to full access mode using any kind of protocol on the web. If a website doesn't support SSL when I'm out in public then I just don't surf it - that's not a worry to me.
