• How can I have centered text and right-aligned image in the same element?

  I have some th elements with text in them that should be centered and they also contain images: The up/down arrow graphic is a separate image. My question is, what is the simplest reliable way to position that image over to the right side of the th element while keeping the text centered? I'm open to using jQuery/JavaScript if there's a reasonably simple way to do it. • Android how to display and image from URL

  Hi all! I'm having trouble displaying SOME images on my android app. Just normal display image from certain URL. Some images works, some just doesn't work. For instance try displaying this image from URL: http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7379/tronlegacys7i7wsjf.jpg It doesn't work. Doesn't even work in emulator. Could it be the EXIF info for the image is problematic? Can anyone try to see they are able to display that image on android app, and share the code/method to display that image on screen? This gives me an object of type type File, which has the following method: File.name: The name of the file including the relative path from MEDIA_ROOT. What I want is something like .filename that will only give me the filename and not the path as well something like: {% for download in downloads %} <div class="download"> <div class="title">{{download.file.filename}}</div> </div> {% endfor %} which would give something like myfile.jpg thanks

• wget: retrieving files recursively

  When using wget with the recursive option turned on I am getting an error message when it is trying to download a file. It thinks the link is a downloadable file when in reality it should just be following it to get to the page that actually contains the files that I want. wget -r -l 16 --accept=jpg website.com The error message is: .... since it should be rejected. This usually occurs when the website link it is trying to fetch ends with a sql statement. The problem however doesn't occur when using the very same wget command on that link. I want to know how exactly it is trying to fetch the pages. I guess I could always take a poke around the source although I don't know how messy the project is.

• How to work around a site forbidding me to scrape their images with PHP

  I'm scraping a site, searching for JPGs to download. Scraping the site's HTML pages works fine. But when I try getting the JPGs with CURL, copy(), fopen(), etc., I get a 403 forbiden status. I know that's because the site owners don't want their images scraped, so I understand a good answer would be just don't do it, because they don't want you to. Ok, but let's say it's ok and I try to work around this, how could this be achieved? If I get the same URL with a browser, I can open the image perfectly, it's not that my IP is banned or anything, and I'm testing the scraper one file at a time, so it's not blocking me because I make too many requests too often. From my understanding, it could be that either the site is checking for some cookies that confirm that I'm using a browser and browsing their site before I download a JPG. Or that maybe PHP is using some user agent for the requests that the server can detect and filter out. Anyway, have any idea?

• Using jQuery.get with a file up a directory?

  I'm using jQuery to write a simple utility app that's just run locally. It'll read from a list of files using jQuery.get and then display them along with some meta-data (which resides in a separate file). The images and meta files live in ../scored_images/*.[jpg|meta] I can load the file list with jQuery.get just fine (it's in the current directory), and I can load up the images and display them without a problem. However when I go to load the meta file for display, jQuery.get seems to silently fail. I can load them fine if the path doesn't have ../ in it. Is there a way to work around this behavior?

• htaccess not working as it should

  well, ofcourse its not working, im still a n00b :) this is the code that i have : Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*)\.css - [S=7] RewriteRule (.*)\.jpg - [S=6] RewriteRule ^gallery gallery.html [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*)/ index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*) index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/ index.html?page=$1 [L] RewriteRule (.*) index.html?page=$1 [L,QSA] Now, this works fine, if i try localhost/abc but it wont work if i try localhost/abc/ also, when i try localhost/abc/def (or localhost/abc/def/ for that matter) the css file isnt being included properly. i get an error saying /abc/def/style.css does not exist. :( however, the code doesnt work if i remove the QSA flag from the last rule. this is the code that ive come up with after a lot of googling and reading SO. if anyone can help out i'll be extremely grateful. thanks!

  Every x minutes I grab an image from a network-cam. Now i want to add this picture to an existing video file - on the fly. I don't want to keep numerous image files and then encode them once in a while with e.g. mencoder mf://@${LIST} -mf type=jpg:fps=${FPS} ... The video format/codec doesn't really matter, as long as standard tools (mplayer, ffmpeg, vlc, ...) can handle it. Any ides or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  I am working on an application which requires matching of numbers from a scanned image file to database entry and update the database with the match result. Say I have image- employee1.jpg. This image will have two two handwritten entries - Employee number and the amount to be paid to the employee. I have to read the employee number from the image and query the database for the that number, update the employee with the amount to be paid as got from the image. Both the employee number and amount to be paid are written inside two boxes at a specified place on the image. Is there any way to automate this. Basically I want a solution in .net using c#. I know this can be done using artificial neural networks. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  I have a div which wraps a number of images that are generated dynamically. I don't know how high the list of images is. My problem is the div that contains the dynamically generated images doesn't behave like it is housing any content - I want it to extend to the height of the list of images. Each image is itself wrapped in a div.   At first I thought this was a problem with my app, but it seems to be happening in any app (though interestingly, not the home screen) in the gingerbread emulator. To replicate my issue, open eclipse and fire up the android emulator for gingerbread (I'm using the "Google APIs - API Level 9" as my target) So the procedure to duplicate once the emulator loads is press LCtrl-F11 to shift orientation to landscape, then again to switch to portrait Result: In the homescreen: The view rotates to landscape, and then back to portrait, as expected In any app (i've tried browser, calculator, maps, and the app i'm currently working on): the view rotates to landscape, and then nothing, it stays in landscape even the emulator is displaying the phone in landscape mode (see below) http://i54.tinypic.com/2ake06v.jpg Has anyone else had this issue, or have I installed the emulator in some incorrect way - this hasn't been an issue with any of the previous emulators

I'm at the part of creating a sprite, assigning it an image and then rendering. • Not getting image in h:graphicImage in JSF

  Hello, I have this very strange error with h:graphicImage This code works fine :- <h:graphicImage value="/Common/Images/#{item.templatePicName}"/> And this one doesn't :- <h:graphicImage alt="${app:getCommonImagePath(item.templatePicName)}" value="${app:getCommonImagePath(item.templatePicName)}" /> It only shows alt value /Common/Images/Sunset.jpg which is perfectly fine and works in 1st case. Then why doesn't it work in 2nd case? There are no problems with my images.   Hello, I am using a separate PHP file as a configuration file for everything else on a basic ecommerce site. $product1["short"] = "product one"; $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"] = "image/product1.jpg"; When I hover over a button, I want to get $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"] and swap it out with an IMG SRC. I can do the swapping no problem, I need to know how to get the information stored in $product1["menuimgslideshowsrc"]. I assume I would use Ajax, but I am open to other ideas. Thanks in advance.

• ImageData of an externally loaded Image?

  I load an external image and draw it on the Canvas element like so: var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas1'); var context = canvas.getContext('2d'); var image = new Image(); image.onload = function(evt) { context.drawImage(evt.target, 0, 0); } image.src = "test.jpg"; But I want to get the ImageData. So after calling context.drawImage, I do this: var imagedata = canvas.getImageData(); manipulate(imagedata); // modifies imagedata.data context.putImageData(imagedata, 0, 0); Is that the only way to get the imageData of an externally loaded image? Drawing the image on canvas & then getting the imagedata seems awfully slow. Am I missing something? Thanks!
