• CSS menu is flickering when scrolling through it with hover effects

You can see it here: http://dealmob.de/index_dev.html when u hover over the menu up and down fast u see the that its not staying, insteads its flickering like you would change the margins/paddings by few pixels. • Using Python, How to copy files in 'temporary internet files' folder in Windows

  I am using this code to find files recursively in a folder , with size greater than 50000 bytes. def listall(parent): lis=[] for root, dirs, files in os.walk(parent): for name in files: if os.path.getsize(os.path.join(root,name))>500000: lis.append(os.path.join(root,name)) return lis This is working fine. But when I used this on 'temporary internet files' folder in windows, am getting this error. • wget: retrieving files recursively

  When using wget with the recursive option turned on I am getting an error message when it is trying to download a file. It thinks the link is a downloadable file when in reality it should just be following it to get to the page that actually contains the files that I want. wget -r -l 16 --accept=jpg website.com The error message is: .... since it should be rejected. This usually occurs when the website link it is trying to fetch ends with a sql statement. The problem however doesn't occur when using the very same wget command on that link. I want to know how exactly it is trying to fetch the pages. I guess I could always take a poke around the source although I don't know how messy the project is.

  well, ofcourse its not working, im still a n00b :) this is the code that i have : Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*)\.css - [S=7] RewriteRule (.*)\.jpg - [S=6] RewriteRule ^gallery gallery.html [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*)/ index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*) index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/ index.html?page=$1 [L] RewriteRule (.*) index.html?page=$1 [L,QSA] Now, this works fine, if i try localhost/abc but it wont work if i try localhost/abc/ also, when i try localhost/abc/def (or localhost/abc/def/ for that matter) the css file isnt being included properly. i get an error saying /abc/def/style.css does not exist. :( however, the code doesnt work if i remove the QSA flag from the last rule. this is the code that ive come up with after a lot of googling and reading SO. if anyone can help out i'll be extremely grateful. thanks!

• Using jQuery.get with a file up a directory?

  I'm using jQuery to write a simple utility app that's just run locally. It'll read from a list of files using jQuery.get and then display them along with some meta-data (which resides in a separate file). The images and meta files live in ../scored_images/*.[jpg|meta] I can load the file list with jQuery.get just fine (it's in the current directory), and I can load up the images and display them without a problem. However when I go to load the meta file for display, jQuery.get seems to silently fail. I can load them fine if the path doesn't have ../ in it. Is there a way to work around this behavior?

• How to work around a site forbidding me to scrape their images with PHP

  I'm scraping a site, searching for JPGs to download. Scraping the site's HTML pages works fine. But when I try getting the JPGs with CURL, copy(), fopen(), etc., I get a 403 forbiden status. I know that's because the site owners don't want their images scraped, so I understand a good answer would be just don't do it, because they don't want you to. Ok, but let's say it's ok and I try to work around this, how could this be achieved? If I get the same URL with a browser, I can open the image perfectly, it's not that my IP is banned or anything, and I'm testing the scraper one file at a time, so it's not blocking me because I make too many requests too often. From my understanding, it could be that either the site is checking for some cookies that confirm that I'm using a browser and browsing their site before I download a JPG. Or that maybe PHP is using some user agent for the requests that the server can detect and filter out. Anyway, have any idea?

  At first I thought this was a problem with my app, but it seems to be happening in any app (though interestingly, not the home screen) in the gingerbread emulator. To replicate my issue, open eclipse and fire up the android emulator for gingerbread (I'm using the "Google APIs - API Level 9" as my target) So the procedure to duplicate once the emulator loads is press LCtrl-F11 to shift orientation to landscape, then again to switch to portrait Result: In the homescreen: The view rotates to landscape, and then back to portrait, as expected In any app (i've tried browser, calculator, maps, and the app i'm currently working on): the view rotates to landscape, and then nothing, it stays in landscape even the emulator is displaying the phone in landscape mode (see below) http://i54.tinypic.com/2ake06v.jpg Has anyone else had this issue, or have I installed the emulator in some incorrect way - this hasn't been an issue with any of the previous emulators

My problem is the div that contains the dynamically generated images doesn't behave like it is housing any content - I want it to extend to the height of the list of images. Each image is itself wrapped in a div. I don't want to keep numerous image files and then encode them once in a while with e.g. mencoder mf://@${LIST} -mf type=jpg:fps=${FPS} ...   I am working on an application which requires matching of numbers from a scanned image file to database entry and update the database with the match result. Say I have image- employee1.jpg. This image will have two two handwritten entries - Employee number and the amount to be paid to the employee. I have to read the employee number from the image and query the database for the that number, update the employee with the amount to be paid as got from the image. Both the employee number and amount to be paid are written inside two boxes at a specified place on the image. Is there any way to automate this. Basically I want a solution in .net using c#.   Hello, I have this very strange error with h:graphicImage This code works fine :- <h:graphicImage value="/Common/Images/#{item.templatePicName}"/> And this one doesn't :- <h:graphicImage alt="${app:getCommonImagePath(item.templatePicName)}" value="${app:getCommonImagePath(item.templatePicName)}" /> It only shows alt value /Common/Images/Sunset.jpg which is perfectly fine and works in 1st case. Then why doesn't it work in 2nd case? There are no problems with my images.   It has come to my attention that a user has been trying to create an exploit through avatar image uploads. This was discovered when a user reported to me that they were getting a notice from their Norton Anti-virus saying "HTTP Suspicious Executable Image Download." This warning was referencing the user's avatar image. I don't think they had actually achieved anything in the way of stealing information or anything like that, but I assume it could be possible if the hole is left open long enough. I use PHP to upload the image files, and I check if the file being uploaded is a png, jpg, or gif.

  I am using this library that allows you to create a more elegant alert box (you can even use images!); I used it with a click function and it works! A nice container opens with a close button, GREAT! I noticed if you happen to click more than once on the link you assigned, it keeps firing. So multiple images begin to propagate. I used the unbind method, but it cancels the link permanently (until refresh etc.).
