  • PHP URL Rewrite engine for small project

    I use PHP. I want to setup a micro site as a prototype, where I can work with the frontend only, separated from any CMS. URL Rewrite I also want the URL rewrite to be correct, like http://www.test.com/products/tables/green/little-wood123/ Question(s) Is there any free class for URL rewriting? I searched but found none. If that is not the way to go, what framework is nice for this? It should be tiny, easy to use and support URL rewrite.

  • Will buy simple Cocos2D bubbles iPad game for private use (source)

    Hi, First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place for posting this kind of request. IDK if is there already a marketplace on the stack community. I'm a fairly experienced iPhone/iPad developer with several Apps already published. I have a deep understanding of Objective-C and the Cocoa framework, as well as with the iPhone development tools. However, I have never used Cocos2d (or any other gaming engine for that matter) as I've mostly specialized in utilities/productivity Apps. I am in the urgent need of developing a really simple iPad game (for which I will provide all of the media assets - graphics and sounds) that needs to be deployed in about a week from now. Basically the game should allow the user to pop bubbles of different size and speed as they move from the bottom to the top of the screen. While I could take the time to read the documentation and start working on this game myself, I'm currently with a couple of other projects that I need to finish soon, so I would like to ask for the help of some other more experienced Cocos2D developer which could develop this game on its basic form for me. If you think you can help, please send me your quote, timing and, if possible, samples of previous work done with Cocos2D that would be similar to what I need. I can provide more detail upon request.     So, I need to do a few things to the code here; http://64.90.55.88/SynapseSource-Win.zip What I need to do 1)remove the opengl output window 2)Make it work with latest openni (http://75.98.78.94/default.aspx) - as far as I could tell it only works with a specific older version 3)Improve ram and cpu usage (assuming I don't get what I need from the first two changes) 4)Eventually rebuild it as an object in this sdk; http://cycling74.com/products/sdk/ I tried going through the documentation, but "the needle could not penetrate", alas. For example, I am still unclear about some basic things; a) what are the relative responsibilities of nite vs openni? b) which xml files are always used when the app launches, and what is their format?   • More complex learning source for C# .NET [closed]

    By complex I don't mean more difficult but including a larger area of possibilities cover. I've started a few years ago with PHP and the transition from learning the syntax of the language and the basic logical structures to working with databases, including JavaScript and so on was very short. And now I'm more interested in studying working with languages like Java/C#. Recently I spend a lot of time reading and writing some simple console applications, I've read almost 2K pages for C# programming and still don't know how to connect to database for example. Just for info I'm interested in web development, socket programing and live streaming, don't know if I'm exceeding myself too much writing that but despite that I want to find some books/internet sources where I can extend my current knowledge of C#/.NET, start using database queries, maybe try something more complicated webwise.

  • Long lines of text in source code [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: Is the 80 character limit still relevant in times of widescreen monitors? I used to set a vertical line set at 80 characters in my text editor and then I added carriage returns if the lines got too long. I later increased the value to 135 characters. I started using word wrap and not giving myself a limit but tried to keep lines short if I could because it took a lot of time shortening my lines. People at work use word wrap and don't give themselves a limit.. is this the correct way? What are you meant to do ? Many thanks.

Every time i tried to open the drives, the following notice appeared: (i'm new in Ask Ubuntu,so,i can't upload the snapshot,i need 10 reputations to do that) **Unable to access "__ Volume"** error mounting/dev/sda7at/media/MyPC/__Volume:Command-Line 'mount-t "ntfs"-o "uhelper=udisk2,nodev,nosuid,uid=1000,gid=1000,dmask=0077,fmask=0177""/ dev/sda7""/media/MyPC/__Volume"' exited with non-zero exit status 14:The disk contains an unclean file system (0,0).| Metadata Kept in Windows cache,refused to mount. Failed to mount '/dev/sda7':Operation not permitted The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state.Please,resume and shutdown Windows fully(no hibernation or fast restarting),or mount the volume read-only with the 'ro' mount option. I have Windows side by side Ubuntu 13.04 in my computer and i have done (like-Shutting down Windows properly...) things as these in the notice. But it's not working.

  • How much time do you need in between large projects?

    You've launched a large project at work, something that's been in progress and taken up large chunks of your life for more than 6 months. The post-launch triage is over. Tech support isn't calling you every hour because they don't know how to troubleshoot an issue. Your hours drop from 60+/wk to whatever is normal in your organization (which is hopefully less than 60+!). How much time do you (or your team) need before the next large project begins? I was asked this question at work and I think the ideal minimum is two weeks -- one week to clear your desk and inbox + one week to clear your head and remember what it's like to have a life outside of work. I'd frankly acknowledge that just being asked this question is a huge boon to work/life balance. But I do think it's possible to go too long in between.

  • Ctrl+Alt+T doesn't open Terminal (Compiz related?)

    Ctrl+Alt+T doesn't open the Terminal, and I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with Compiz. Compiz disabled the transparency on my launcher (using Ub.12.04LTS+Unity) and so I uninstalled it. But after I uninstalled Compiz, my UI was messed up, so I reinstalled it, now Ctrl+Alt+T doesn't open the terminal. System Settings Keyboard Shortcuts has the shortcut to terminal there, but it simply does not work. Any tips on what I could do? Thanks in advance!

The config allows to set the interface (where the server listens), the roots of the served content, transfer log, and database of users and its passwords. The server allows to create a virtual filesystem. By a virtual filesystem, we mean a mapping of a served directory to the real directory on the filesystem.
