• How to add ActionScript 3.0 code to a brand new .fla Flash project?

  I am just trying to add a "Hello World" or a program that draw a circle to a brand new project in Flash Professional CS5. So the project file is has a .fla extension And I think the code is supposed to be added to the "action" of frame 1? But I don't see any place where I can open up a box to type in any code?   I am creating an app which will have a question in a UILabel and a multiple choice answers displayed in UITableView, each row showing a multiple choice. Questions and answers will vary, so I need this UITableView to be dynamic in height. I would like to find a "sizeToFit" work around for the table. Where the table's frame is set to the height of all it's content. Can anyone advise on how I can achieve this? Thank you.

  Hey all.. I noticed that an application I am maintaining was giving me a javascript error in IE8 and FF. The script was trying to get a collection of frame elements: document.frames This always returned 'undefined'. I placed a watch on the document object and noticed that this collection does not seem to be a member of the document object in IE8. I think this was always the case in FF but this same code works in older versions of IE. Has this been removed? -Nick

  Hi - My company makes DVRs that specialize in streaming live and recorded video. The video is encoded using standard MPEG-4 codecs so the codecs in Android should have no trouble with them. However, the video is recorded using non-standard file formats and is streamed using our proprietary protocol (among other things we embed additional data such as watermarks with each frame of video). Is there any way I can take my stream pull out the frames and have it play on an Android device? Thanks!

I know you can typically acquire a still image at a higher resolution than a single video frame. Currently, I am using MATLAB's image acquisition toolbox.. which apparently only supports obtaining frames in video mode(so lower resolution). Which other libraries do you recommend? I'm looking to port one of my iPhone applications, but I'm kind of at a loss for how to draw a view at runtime (a view not declared in the XML).   Hi everyone, I have this big problem that i dont know how to fix. I have a UIView that i want to draw a scrolling background on. I am using NSTimer to update 30 frames per second but it seems to redraw one frame every 8 seconds. I am calling [self setNeedsDisplay] but it has no effect. • UIImageView animation has long delay on device

  I create a 5-frame animation on UImageView and each image is created by [UIImage imageWithContentOfFile:xxx], however, the animation on simulator is working well but not on device, it usually has ~1 sec delay though the animation duration is 1sec. Is anyway to preload the images involved in the animation? thanks.
