  • Jquery Mobile splitview like Android Gmail app [closed]

    Since I don't know much about jquery mobile, CSS, i don't know what we call this. I want to create a splitview like Android gmail app (image attached). but i am not sure how to create arrow cut on the active (clicked) listview only (like shown in the image) and other listview are normal. Can someone guide me how to approach it. Sorry for confusing everyone. Updated the image with black circle. the nice inward arrow (shown under black circle) is what i am looking for. As you see this inward arrow will appear only for the active left side listview only and others will have a straight line, also left side has a distinct appearance. I want to know the approach for these using jquery mobile, jquery, css etc.

  • Objective C: Using UIImage for Stroking

    I am trying to apply a texture for my brush but i'm really having a hard time figuring how it is done. Here's the image of my output. I used an UIImage that just follows the touch on the screen but when i swipe it faster the result is on the right side "W", and on the left side that's the result when i swipe it slow. i tried using the CGContextMoveToPoint and CGContextAddLineToPoint i don't know how apply the texture. Is it possible to use UIImage for the stroke texture?   • Positioning the dialog box in the centre of the screen

    I have a dialog box developed in mfc for a Windows CE device and want it to occupy the entire screen. I used the following code to center my dialog box on the lcd screen of the device: CWnd* pWnd = GetDesktopWindow(); CenterWindow(pWnd); However, I still get a tiny sliver of space on the left side of the dialog box, resizing the dialog merely makes it overflow on the right side of the LCD while the tiny space on the left remains (I can see the blue of the win CE desktop behind.) Are there any suggestions to solve this problem? I checked the margin settings for this dialog box in my .rc files and leftmargin and topmargin are both set to 0. I was wondering if I could get the coordinates of the centre of the screen and then place my window one or two points to the left to deal with the current offset. A messy approach I know!

    I am trying to implement orientation change functionality in my application.I have overrided -(void) didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOrientation. In this method i change the frame size of the tableview(including the position of the cell items) which is present in the view. The tableview Details: Added to the view as [self.view addSubView:tableView] in the viewDidLoad method of the view controller; Cell item (row) has a textfield and a segmented control. There are 10 cells in the table view and in landscape mode only 2 cells are visible and in potrait mode 5 cells are visible. I have implemented scroller. Issue: Certain times on changing the orientation to potrait mode certain segmented controls in the cell are not rendered (Not shown at all). This happens when i am viewing the last couple of cells in the landscape mode and i change the orientation to potrait mode.

    I know the built-in ASP.Net validators come with a client-side framework, however I've been unable to find anything that lets me check a single validator for it's Valid state. I expect it to be possible though, so I hope someone in here knows how to do it :-) The validator in question is a RegularExpressionValidator, which I use to determine whether an e-mail address is valid or not.   • How to limit a request execution time of WCF service?

    Is there something in WCF configuration that defines a timeout for executing a request at service side? E.g. WCF service will stop executing request after some time period. I have a service which make some work depending on client input. In some cases a such call may take too much time. I want to limit the execution time of such requests on service side, not client one using SendTimeout. I know about OperationTimeout property, but it doesn't abort the service request, it just tells a client that the request is timed out.

    Suppose I have an application a search for all gas stations within 10 mile radius of a certain location. However one side of this location is surrounded by a mountain range that you have to drive 50 miles to get around. You would not want to return results from the other side of the mountain. What are some good algorithms/techniques to deal with such a problem? I know with point to point searches you can use path costs but I am not sure what the technique is with radius searches.

Model with domain service are in separate project - App1.Data. Silverlight and generated model proxy classes are in App1 project. I want to add property to model entity class EntityClass to get this property on client side. So I did it that way - added this class to project App1.Data: public partial class EntityClass { [DataMember] public List<EntityClass2> PropertyName {get; set;} } After rebuilding EntityClass proxy on client side doesn't have this new property. Where is my mistake?

  • Flash: How to dispatch a click event at the top of a loaded .swf?

    So I'm trying to build a tool that will allow me and other users to all open the same .swf, and then I as the Admin user am able to interact with mine while they all see my mouse movements and button clicks etc on theirs. I'm using BlazeDS to manage this and I'm getting data sent back and forth etc - no difficulties there. The issue I'm running into is this: In an "Admin" instance, I click a button. I capture that X and Y, then tell Blaze to tell my clients to dispatch a Click event at that X and Y. On my client side, I get that data and dispatch a Click event at that X and Y - but the click is actually caught at the stage level. The click on my client side takes place UNDER all of my buttons and other content - so the whole thing fails. Does this make sense? Is there a way to tell it to start the click event at the top?

  • JSONP parsing error from WCF

    Answered my own question I had a problem with a jquery (jsonp) call to a WCF service that was throwing a json parsing error. Using ASP.NET 4.0 on the WCF side and jquery 1.7 on the client side. Turned out there was an old set of script tags on the page using language = VBSCRIPT. The browser was interpreting the returned json packet of script as "VBscript" instead of javascript. I placed a set of empty javascript tags at the top of the page and the browser is now interpreting the json as the proper javascript function. Hope this helps someone else. Tom

  • Which Java Web Framework allows Cross-Domain Javascripting (http proxy) ?

    So just a quick intro, I am starting to explore Vaadin, and it's absolutely perfect. Previously, I was juggling PHP, Perl, Ruby, and Jquery for designing rich client web application. It didn't work out too well, as I've burnt out from trying to fix cross browser issues (aka get-it-to-work-on-IE-damn-it), handling server-side, client-side, and building a robust communication between the two tier had lot of code not related to application logic....by the time I was burnt out, only tiny bit of application logic was implemented. Vaadin seems like the answer to my problem as it only requires Java and built on top of GWT. However, I am curious how I can incorporate Cross-Domain Javascripting ? Back in LAMP environment, I had a CGI proxy script that loaded external URL, and injected JS into the proxy-loaded page. I used the CGI proxy script, as it rendered Javascript of the external URL well. Is there a class or package for Java or a specific Java web framework similiar to Vaadin that makes this possible ?     Is it possible to validate a radio group (so something is checked off, or chosen) using server-side validation with Perl? If so, how? I already have it for JavaScript, but I want this form to be able to be submitted even without JavaScript enabled. Thus I will need the validation on the server-side. There is no fixed name for the radio group, it can change, however there must be a name, so that @names = $cgi->param() will give all the names. I'm thinking along something that will give me the type, like the type in JavaScript, to determine if it's a radio button in a group.

    I think the main difference between websocket and http streaming (I am not refering to polling and long polling) is websocket allows bi-directional communication which is similar to usual raw socket programming. (above is my understanding, could be wrong, feel free to correct me.) My question is how the web client (browser) continue to send another request in the already-opened websocket? Usual http request will treat another request as new socket connection, but websocket does not, that is why I am confused, how it achieve that? It should be handled in Server side or Client (browser) side?

    Hi, I can't seem to get the jQuery.ajax() function posting back any of my asp.net generated form controls. I've put a break point on the server side and there aren't any values. Is there a way around this or do I have to build up a list of what I want sent back? Another question slightly off topic, but it seems that although jQuery is a great JS library, it doesn't seem to integrate too well with .net. Has anyone given up with jQuery to perform server side interaction and just gone with ms ajax implementation?

    Hi, I have a layout which requires a tab widget containing two tabs. Ideally I'd like to have each tab just be a completely flat colored rectangle, side by side. Almost exactly like the buttons you see at the top of this web page titled: "Questions" | "Tags" | "Users" | "Badges" | "Unanswered" but without the whitespace in between. I'd like to have the highlighted tab have a brighter background color. Is this possible using the tab widget? I know in 1.6+ there's a method to specify a view for the tabs themselves, but can I achieve this tight look, or should I just roll my own? Thanks

    I'm doing something similar to close caption but not exactly the same. I have a youtube video, and I want to display certain messages at specific points in the video. When the video loads, I pull entries from the database in the format time and sentence. For example, at 0:20 the speaker says "don't forget to write down my email that you see on the side" and I want to display the email on the side. At 0:50, he says "and I'll post my office hours" so I want to show those office hours at that time. How can I do this. The video itself is hosted on youtube, but is being displayed on a private website. The div where I want to display the messages is <div id="write">.
