  • Grouping parent node based on child elements values and sequence number.

    - by Mahir
Hi, I need to transform XML using xslt. Logic: Split the parent if the parent having different child address and append the sequence number with parent name. Also need line number for the child. Here we may have number of parent nodes and each parent node may have more number of child nodes. I have tried numerous ways to achieve this and I am stuck with generating sequence number in the foreach. So can any one try and give a solution for this. Source XML as below: P1 CName1 Address1 CName2 Address2 CName3 Address1 P2 CName1 Address1 The target XML should as below: P1_1 CName1 Address1 1 CName2 Address2 2 CName3 Address1 P1_2 1 CName2 Address2 P2_1 1 CName1 Address1

  • How to read arbitrary number of values using std::copy?

    - by Miro Kropacek
Hi, I'm trying to code opposite action to this: std::ostream outs; // properly initialized of course std::set<int> my_set; // ditto outs << my_set.size(); std::copy( my_set.begin(), my_set.end(), std::ostream_iterator<int>( outs ) ); it should be something like this: std::istream ins; std::set<int>::size_type size; ins >> size; std::copy( std::istream_iterator<int>( ins ), std::istream_iterator<int>( ins ) ???, std::inserter( my_set, my_set.end() ) ); But I'm stuck with the 'end' iterator -- input interators can't use std::advance and neither I can use two streams with the same source... Is there any elegant way how to solve this? Of course I can use for loop, but maybe there's something nicer :)

  • How can I count existing and non-existing values with MySQL?

    - by jaya malladi
I am new to MySQL. I have a table with answer ids. Answers can look like this:a1, a2, a3 ..., but due to some problems some are NULL, some are blank, and some are others like 1 a etc. Now I want to calculate the count of ids with a1 a2 a3 distinctly. But how is it possible to do this leaving others like NULL, blanks and garbage. The output should look like this atype count a1 45 a2 0 a3 56 If there is no row entry for a particular answer, the count should be 0.

  • Clojure: I have many sorted maps and want to reduce in order all there values a super maps of keys -> vector

    - by Alex Foreman
I have seen this but can't work out how to apply it (no pun intended) to my situation. I have a sorted list of maps like this: (note there can be more than two keys in the map) ({name1 3, name2 7}, {name1 35, name2 7}, {name1 0, name2 3}) What I am after is this data structure afterwards: ({:name1 [3,35,0]}, {:name2 [7,7,3]}) Ive been struggling with this for a while and cant seem to get anywhere near. Caveats: The data must stay sorted and I have N keywords not just two.

  • PHP, how can I produce a string, a unique list of values up to three items, for use after IN in a query?

    - by Jules
I need to produce a string for use in an query e.g. SELECT whatever from Keywords.word IN (here); At the moment I have string which could be $search = "one word or four"; or $search = "one"; or $search = "one one"; I need to validate this into some acceptable for my query. I want a unique list of words, separated with a comma up to a maximum of three. This is what I have so far. $array = explode(" ",$search); $unique = array_unique ($array); I'm sure there must be a quicker way than evaluating each of the items for blank and selecting the first three.

  • Write a SQL Query to replace values and include all the Dates.

    - by VJ
Well I have this - Table DimDate- Date Table Employee- Id,Name,Points,Date Now the Employee table has points for everyday unless they did not come...so the Date does not have all the Dates entries... I mean for e.g in a week he did not come for 2 days the Employee table has only 5 rows...so I have this dimdate table which has all the dates till 2050 which I want to join with and add Zeros for the dates he does not have points. So I have written this query but does not work - Select E.EmployeeId,D.Date,isNull(E.Points,0) from DimDate D left join Employee E on D.Date between '01-01-2009'and '06-01-2009' where E.EmployeeId=1 The above query give multiple dates and I tried group by on Date but does not work.

  • How can I parse free text (Twitter tweets) against a large database of values?

    - by user136416
Hi there Suppose I have a database containing 500,000 records, each representing, say, an animal. What would be the best approach for parsing 140 character tweets to identify matching records by animal name? For instance, in this string... "I went down to the woods to day and couldn't believe my eyes: I saw a bear having a picnic with a squirrel." ... I would like to flag up the words "bear" and "squirrel", as they appear in my database. This strikes me as a problem that has probably been solved many times, but from where I'm sitting it looks prohibitively intensive - iterating over every db record checking for a match in the string is surely a crazy way to do it. Can anyone with a comp sci degree put me out of my misery? I'm working in C# if that makes any difference. Cheers!

  • Is this method a good aproach to get SQL values from C#?

    - by MadBoy
    I have this little method that i use to get stuff from SQL. I either call it with varSearch = "" or varSearch = "something". I would like to know if having method written this way is best or would it be better to split it into two methods (by overloading), or maybe i could somehow parametrize whole WHERE clausule? private void sqlPobierzKontrahentDaneKlienta(ListView varListView, string varSearch) { varListView.BeginUpdate(); varListView.Items.Clear(); string preparedCommand; if (varSearch == "") { preparedCommand = @" SELECT t1.[KlienciID], CASE WHEN t2.[PodmiotRodzaj] = 'Firma' THEN t2.[PodmiotFirmaNazwa] ELSE t2.[PodmiotOsobaNazwisko] + ' ' + t2.[PodmiotOsobaImie] END AS 'Nazwa' FROM [BazaZarzadzanie].[dbo].[Klienci] t1 INNER JOIN [BazaZarzadzanie].[dbo].[Podmioty] t2 ON t1.[PodmiotID] = t2.[PodmiotID] ORDER BY t1.[KlienciID]"; } else { preparedCommand = @" SELECT t1.[KlienciID], CASE WHEN t2.[PodmiotRodzaj] = 'Firma' THEN t2.[PodmiotFirmaNazwa] ELSE t2.[PodmiotOsobaNazwisko] + ' ' + t2.[PodmiotOsobaImie] END AS 'Nazwa' FROM [BazaZarzadzanie].[dbo].[Klienci] t1 INNER JOIN [BazaZarzadzanie].[dbo].[Podmioty] t2 ON t1.[PodmiotID] = t2.[PodmiotID] WHERE t2.[PodmiotOsobaNazwisko] LIKE @searchValue OR t2.[PodmiotFirmaNazwa] LIKE @searchValue OR t2.[PodmiotOsobaImie] LIKE @searchValue ORDER BY t1.[KlienciID]"; } using (var varConnection = Locale.sqlConnectOneTime(Locale.sqlDataConnectionDetails)) using (SqlCommand sqlQuery = new SqlCommand(preparedCommand, varConnection)) { sqlQuery.Parameters.AddWithValue("@searchValue", "%" + varSearch + "%"); using (SqlDataReader sqlQueryResult = sqlQuery.ExecuteReader()) if (sqlQueryResult != null) { while (sqlQueryResult.Read()) { string varKontrahenciID = sqlQueryResult["KlienciID"].ToString(); string varKontrahent = sqlQueryResult["Nazwa"].ToString(); ListViewItem item = new ListViewItem(varKontrahenciID, 0); item.SubItems.Add(varKontrahent); varListView.Items.AddRange(new[] {item}); } } } varListView.EndUpdate(); }

  • Lua : How to check if one of the values associated with the specified key of a table is nil, from ap

    - by felace
In lua, it's legal to do this : table={} bar if(table[key]==nil) foo However, using C API, I couldn't find way to check if there's a nil value on the specified position. lua_getglobal(L,"table"); lua_gettable(L,key); If there's a nil value stored in table[key], lua_gettable would give me the "unprotected error in call to Lua API (attempt to index a nil value)" message. Is there any way to check if there's actually something associated with that key, before actually pushing the key to do so ?

  • Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: utcDate

    - by Rob
Our logs show hundreds of these errors after our deployment if users are on the site. Anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Notes: We are using msdeploy, IIS 6 I recently noticed that our web server's time is about 10 minutes behind the real time, I think that may have something to do with it. If I log into our site, seems like any file that depends on a WebResource or ScriptResource type file doesn't look right. Seems to fix itself after an IIS reset

  • Django Custom Field: Only run to_python() on values from DB?

    - by Adam Levy
How can I ensure that my custom field's *to_python()* method is only called when the data in the field has been loaded from the DB? I'm trying to use a Custom Field to handle the Base64 Encoding/Decoding of a single model property. Everything appeared to be working correctly until I instantiated a new instance of the model and set this property with its plaintext value...at that point, Django tried to decode the field but failed because it was plaintext. The allure of the Custom Field implementation was that I thought I could handle 100% of the encoding/decoding logic there, so that no other part of my code ever needed to know about it. What am I doing wrong? (NOTE: This is just an example to illustrate my problem, I don't need advice on how I should or should not be using Base64 Encoding) def encode(value): return base64.b64encode(value) def decode(value): return base64.b64decode(value) class EncodedField(models.CharField): __metaclass__ = models.SubfieldBase def __init__(self, max_length, *args, **kwargs): super(EncodedField, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) def get_prep_value(self, value): return encode(value) def to_python(self, value): return decode(value) class Person(models.Model): internal_id = EncodedField(max_length=32) ...and it breaks when I do this in the interactive shell. Why is it calling to_python() here? >>> from myapp.models import * >>> Person(internal_id="foo") Traceback (most recent call last): File "<console>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/django/db/models/base.py", line 330, in __init__ setattr(self, field.attname, val) File "/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/django/db/models/fields/subclassing.py", line 98, in __set__ obj.__dict__[self.field.name] = self.field.to_python(value) File "../myapp/models.py", line 87, in to_python return decode(value) File "../myapp/models.py", line 74, in decode return base64.b64decode(value) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/base64.py", line 76, in b64decode raise TypeError(msg) TypeError: Incorrect padding I had expected I would be able to do something like this... >>> from myapp.models import * >>> obj = Person(internal_id="foo") >>> obj.internal_id 'foo' >>> obj.save() >>> newObj = Person.objects.get(internal_id="foo") >>> newObj.internal_id 'foo' >>> newObj.internal_id = "bar" >>> newObj.internal_id 'bar' >>> newObj.save() ...what am I doing wrong?

  • MySQL is there a Single Select to Query Various Unrelated Values from a database?

    - by zzapper
I saw somewhere what seemed to be nested selects, one "master" select on the "outside" and a series of selects inside- is this possible? I'm not talking about joins as there is particular relation between the selects. I seem not to be explaining myself very well. I want to do a single query which will pull out a series of stats from various tables latest order, latest customer, largest order. Obviously I can do that with a series of selects. The example I saw was something like select ( select ... from tbl_1 where .., select ... from tbl_2 where .., select ... from tbl_3 where .., ... )

  • I just learned about C++ functions; can I use if statements on function return values?

    - by Sagistic
    What I am confused on is about the isNumPalindrome() function. It returns a boolean value of either true or false. How am I suppose to use that so I can display if it's a palindrome or not. For ex. if (isNumPalindrome == true) cout << "Your number is a palindrome"; else cout << "your number is not a palindrome."; #include "stdafx.h" int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { return 0; } #include <iostream> #include <cmath> using namespace std; int askNumber(); bool isNumPalindrome(); int num, pwr; int main() { askNumber(); return 0; } bool isNumPalindrome() { int pwr = 0; if (num < 10) return true; else { while (num / static_cast<int>(pow(10.0, pwr)) >=10) pwr++; while (num >=10) { int tenTopwr = static_cast<int>(pow(10.0, pwr)); if ((num / tenTopwr) != (num% 10)) return false; else { num = num % tenTopwr; num = num / 10; pwr = pwr-2; } } return true; } } int askNumber() { cout << "Enter an integer in order to determine if it is a palindrome: " ; cin >> num; cout << endl; if(isNumPalindrome(num)) { cout << "It is a palindrome." ; cout << endl; } else { cout << "It is not a palindrome." ; cout << endl; } return num; }

  • Purpose of front() and back() in assigning values in a Queue? (C++)

    - by kevin
I have declared: queue<int, list<int> > Q After a series of calls: Q.push(37); Q.pop(); Q.push(19); Q.push(3); Q.push(13); Q.front(); Q.push(22); Q.push(8); Q.back(); I get: 19-3-13-22-8-NULL What I don't get is what the calls to Q.front() and Q.back() do. From what I understand, they return a reference to the first or last elements respectively, but I dont see how my list would be any different had those calls not been made. Do they have any effect? Sorry if this seems trivial, but I'm trying to figure out of those calls have a purpose, or of my professor is just trying to screw with me.
