    Hi, i would like to set the date format of all the dates in my web application in a central location. i mean if the website is opened in USA it will have a format such as 3/19/2010 (March/19/2010) while in Italy will be 19/3/2010 (19/March/2010) i am no really concerned with how to locate the users but indeed on how to set the different date format for the whole application in one single location in c#.NET thanks

  • how did i break :method -> :delete

    i refactored my entire application and gave it a whole new design. The one thing that seems to be broken is all the original link_to methods I had which were :method = :delete are now getting sent as a GET request. The only thing I did that I can remember that might cause it is delete jquery-rails from the gemfile (I'm just getting it from google ajax). Does anyone have any other ideas what I could have deleted?

  • Difference between macros and functions in C in relation to instruction memory and speed

    To my understanding the difference between a macro and a function is, that a macro-call will be replaced by the instruction in the definition, and a function does the whole push, branch and pop -thing. Is this right, or have I understand something wrong? Additionally, if this is right, it would mean, that macros would take more space, but would be faster (because of the lack of the push,branch and pop instructions.), wouldn't it?

    Hi, I'm using ruby to sort an array where each element in the array is another array. I have this: Data = Data.SortBy { |Info| info[3] } example data in this column: 3.1 2 5.65 -1 0.4 -9.43 -10.87 -2.3 It should sort this into: 5.65 3.1 2 0.4 -1 -2.3 -9.43 -10.87 But it comes out like this: 5.65 3.1 2 0.4 -1 -10.87 -2.3 -9.43 It's only comparing the first char of the float... not the whole number?

    Hello, I've been playing today with stored procedures. I'm stoned that I picked the basic of it up so easily. (I'll also try triggers very soon). Now, I'd like to know how to save my SPROC under the stored procedure folder (Programmability - Stored Procedure) so that I can access it by name (eventually from my C# application).     I have a dictionary: D = { "foo" : "bar", "baz" : "bip" } and I want to create new dictionary that has a copy of one of it's elements k. So if k = "baz": R = { "baz" : "bip" } what I'v got now is: R = { k : D[k] } But in my case k is a complex expression and I've got a whole stack of these. Caching k in a temporary looks about as ugly as the original option. What I'm looking for is a better (cleaner) way to do this.
