  • Adobe Flash Player fails

    Using UBUNTU 11.10 the FireFox error message says "A plugin is needed to display this content: Adobe Flash Player Installer" So I install it. Then it says "Installed - restart FireFox" I restart FireFox and the same error message appears. This problem doesn't happen with Windows 7 (IE, Chrome & Firefox are fine) or my previous version of Ubuntu. Problem occurs when I access CallOfRoma.com Thank You

When the submit image is pressed, the URL changes to the PHP file, but it displays a blank page.   • I killed my VPS with putting Firefox to reload the page after 1 second, now one of my domains is dead and gives a 504

    I have one domain on my VPS which I wanted to run a script a few hundred times on to simulate users, so I put a few Firefox tab on refresh every 1 second. Now that domain is dead, it just gives me a 504 every time I try to go to it, even though I restarted NGINX, PHP and I even shut the server on and off. All of my other sites on that VPS are Ok and running perfectly, just this one where I tried the reloading on. What can I do from here?

    My rails website uses the open_flash_graph plugin to generate flash graphs for my clients. If a customer doesn't have flash installed, it doesn't display any messages, it simply doesn't show any graphs. I've noticed that if I go to other websites that need flash, I get a yellow bar at the top of my firefox window that offers to "Install Missing Plugin". I assume something in the HTML lets firefox know that this webpage needs flash. What code do I need to add to my website to make this work?

    Hi, Currently I have an Silverlight application that when run on Firefox browser (ver 3.6) the entire contents of the Silverlight application shifts a little, and also the scrollbars on both the bottom and the side appear when I first use it. This does not happen in IE 8. How can I fix this in Firefox so it doesn't happen? The project type I created was the "Silverlight 3 Application + Website" via Expression Blend 3.     Since the beginning of the year, I'm getting a lot of traffic with the user agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729). My access logs show 40% - 60% from that user agent. That's strange because the user agent states a Firefox 3.0.10 browser (is anybody using that browser in 2012? Definitely not 40%-60% of visitors on a normal website). Also, the logs show that this user agent only requested the HTML document and no referenced assets like images, css, js files. I checked the IPs of those requests (with that UA). It's coming from all over the world. I recognized that those IPs sometimes have a mobile user agent. So my suspicion is a mobile app that is doing a lot of "spider requests" - but if that would be the case than other web sites should have the same problem. That's actually my question: Does anybody experience same/similar problems?

    http://betawww.helpcurenow.org/media/press/ You'll see I have used spans within an anchor, with the span.hover-description set to display:none; by default, and on a:hover that span is set to display block and absolutely positioned to create a tool-tip effect when hovering over the name and email of the "For Immediate Release" contact names. Everything looks as desired in Firefox, but Chrome reveals my unknown blunder somewhere. Any help on what's the problem that is causing Chrome to not display like Firefox? Incidentally, Explorer shows the tool tip as expected, although I'm getting a funky bottom margin issue below the names, and Safari has the same issue as Chrome (must be a webkit rendering setting that I need to accommodate for).

    I have a SilverLight application which throws a security exception when running on FireFox for Macs. The exact same application works fine on Windows (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Chrome, Opera) and on Safari for Macs. I am using the Facebook Developer Toolkit available on Codeplex. The exception is thrown when the user launches the App. At that time I use the SilverLight Facebook API to run some queries using: facebookAPI.Fql.MultiqueryAsync(queries, QueryAppUsersCompleted, dispatcher); In my callback function QueryAppUsersCompleted, the FacebookException does not evaluate to null, and its innerException property has a SecurityException in it. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

  • Very Urgent :How to start a new session if a user click on the new tab in IE or mozilla on websphere

    Hi, I have one "user search" portlet on the home page of one application running on websphere portal server.Which display the matching user records as per the search criteria filled in the search form.I have requirement to have a "back to search input" link on the results page which onclick should show the filled form on the input jsp. The issue which i am facing is if i open the application in two diff tab of same IE browser and start giving some search criteria and submit and same time search for some other input from other IE tab (in the same browser)and then go back to previous tab and click on "back to search input" link then instead of showing me the first input it will show me the imput which i entered in the next IE tab. I am setting and getting the bean(form bean) through portlet session.but in the two diff tab of same IE it will be the sae user session (and may be the same portlet session..) Please tell me solution for this. The one thing to be notice here is i can access this "user search" application even without doing login also.so it must be taking the default portlet session in this case. what wil happen once i login and then search,will it going to overwrite the portlet session and http session or howz is that?

    Using TextMate: Is it possible to assign a shortcut to preview/refresh the currently edited HTML document in, say, Firefox, without having to first hit Save? I'm looking for the same functionality as TextMate's built-in Web Preview window, but I'd prefer an external browser instead of TextMate's. (Mainly in order to use a JavaScript console such as Firebug for instance). Would it be possible to pipe the currently unsaved document through the shell and then preview in Firefox. And if so, is there anyone having a TextMate command for this, willing to share it?

    Firefox and seems to render a hyphen followed by   differently to other browsers. Here is some test code that demonstrates the problem: <html> <body> <div style="border: 1px solid blue;width: 50px"> This text can break. Do&nbsp;not&nbsp;-&nbsp;break&nbsp;this&nbsp;text. </div> </body> </html> Notice how in Firefox the second sentence does not break, but in Chrome and IE it breaks at the hyphen. Does anyone know a good workaround so that the break does not occur?

Google chrome Sync:-  i myself used  sync inside Firefox but nothing i found good and from a long time i feel nothing good and any feature in Firefox sync. but in google chrome their sync system is much better. When user login for sync in chrome they install everything and get back the user every settings they set the last time such as apps, autofill, bookmark ,extensions preference and theme. if you want to check bookmark from other browser that you can use google docs because google provided their bookmark backup in their docs account they have. performance:- after testing a website i found that a website open in 36 seconds in Firefox that Google chrome open them in 10 seconds. i found a interesting thing that when i test offline in IE 8 they show me in one or two seconds. i wonder how it’s possible after a long puzzle i found that IE was integrated software from Microsoft that the both software Visual studio and IE was integrated with windows. if user  test javascript in IE that the error they find show in visual studio not in IE as well as other software like chrome and IE. chrome not have a vast range of plugin as well as firefox so developer spent less time on chrome that would be a problem of future of chrome. interface comparison : the chrome have a common but user friendly interface then the user easily can use them. are you watching menu in Firefox 4. they make them complex as well as whole software IE 9.   • Troubleshooting certificate issues

    I'm trying to access my (European Parliament) Webmail from a Linux/Firefox machine at the following address and I get security warning messages explaining that the identity of the site cannot be verified (the error message is in french). But this only happens with Linux/Firefox from one machine. Here's the address: https://webmail.europarl.europa.eu/ (and I'm trying to access it from my home, not from the EP). And here's the detailed error message: webmail.europarl.europa.eu utilise un certificat de sécurité invalide. Le certificat n'est pas sûr car l'autorité délivrant le certificat est inconnue. (Code d'erreur : sec_error_unknown_issuer) So basically, if I translate, it is telling that the webmail.europarl.europa.eu certificate is invalid because the authority that delivered the certificate is unknown. I do only get this invalid certificate thing on Linux/Firefox. From a MacBookPro running Safari, I go to what looks like the correct webmail login page. From the same Linux machine, but using another user account and Chrome instead of Firefox, I go to what looks like the correct webmail login page. So there are several possibilities, here are a few ones: Firefox is right and my Linux box has been hacked Firefox is right and detecting something that neither Chrome nor Safari is detecting (like, say, my router that may be hacked) Safari on the MacBook Pro and Chrome on Linux are both correct and it is just Firefox on Linux that is wrongly stressing me when everything is normal. How do I know which one of these possibilities (or any other) is correct? How can I troubleshoot what is going on with either Linux/Firefox or with the parliament's webmail?

    I'm running some research on how people search the web for specific types of information. I'd like to be able to set them up with a laptop and browser and then record a history of what they search for and what sites they visit. A Firefox or Chrome plugin would be ideal, but a standalone program is fine too. It doesn't need to be free, just quick and reliable. It doesn't need to be a general PC monitoring program (though that would be OK too) - it's only Web usage I need to track. I've found a few on the Web but am not sure which ones to trust. Your recommendations would be much appreciated.
