• Exchange 2010 DAG Automatic Failover Testing/Issue. Not always automatically failing over to health

  Ok I've got 2 exchange 2010 servers that run client access/hub transport/mailbox roles and one exchange 2010 server running just client access/hub transport roles and acts as my bridgehead. The two mailbox servers are running one database setup in a DAG. Server A shows the DB Mounted and Server B shows Healthy. If I reboot Server A via windows GUI Server B switches from healthy to mounted and I see hardly any interruption in service using Outlook 2007. Server A shows "Service down", then "Failed" then "Healthy" and leaves the DB mounted on Server B. This is how it should work, so far so good. Now if I test Server A being shut down cold, or unplugging both nics from network to simulate failure, Server B switches from Healthy to Mounted and server A switches to "Service Down" but my outlook client never connects to the DB mounted on server B! I can connect to server C (client access/hub transport) and get to my email and even send new email out, but incoming email doesn't deliver until Server A is brought back online and it's DB goes back to Healthy status. So I don't understand why it auto fail-overs when I reboot the server with the mounted DB copy, causing very little outlook 2007 hiccup if any. But when I shutdown or DC the mounted DB server it DOES mount the healthy copy but outlook 2007 clients can't connect.. I hope the picture I'm trying to paint makes some sense, it's driving me a little batty. Any help would be appreciated!

• postfix + opendkim not signing correctly. how to debug this?

  EDIT: I did get a little further but all posts on my search say permissions are wrong or regenerate key but I fixed that to be 644 as well as owned by DKIM AND I keep regenerating the key but it is not helping. If I stop opendkim, I see postfix log connection refused which is good. but when I send mail with opendkim started, I see no logs whatsoever. I even add the "LogWhy Yes" line to my opendkim.conf file as well and still see no logs there. Since I see opendkim running under user opendkim, I changed the owner of /etc/opendkim/* and /etc/opendkim and /etc/opendkim.conf all to opendkim user. I am running on ubuntu. Sending a document from the SharePoint site iself to the Records Repository via the Send To... link works fine, but e-mails get stuck in the list... We have set Document Libraries in the Respository with and without content types (with matching names with the Label and the Record Routing rule set). Any ideas what could be wrong? • JQuery getJSON - ajax parseerror

  I've tried to parse the following json response with both the JQuery getJSON and ajax: [{"iId":"1","heading":"Management Services","body":"<h1>Program Overview</h1><h1>January 29, 2009</h1>"}] I've also tried it escaping the "/" characters like this: [{"iId":"1","heading":"Management Services","body":"<h1>Program Overview <\/h1><h1>January 29, 2009<\/h1>"}] When I use the getJSON it dose not execute the callback. However, I have hope that I may have missed something that would allow me to get this data via JSON. Does anyone have any ideas?

• oracle pl/sql bug: can't put_line more than 2000 characters

  Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon where dbms_output.put_line is unable to print more than 2000 characters at a time? Script is: set serveroutput on size 100000; declare big_str varchar2(2009); begin for i in 1..2009 loop big_str := big_str||'x'; end loop; dbms_output.put_line(length(big_str)); dbms_output.put_line(big_str); end; / I copied and pasted the output into an editor (Notepad++) which told me there were only 2000 characters, not 2009 which is what I think should have been pasted. This also happens with a few of my test scripts - only 2000 characters get printed. I have a workaround to print like this: dbms_output.put_line(length(big_str)); dbms_output.put_line(substr(big_str,1,1999)); dbms_output.put_line(substr(big_str,2000)); This adds new lines to the output, makes it hard to read when the text you're working with is preformatted. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it really a bug or some sort of obscure feature? Is there a better workaround? Is there any other information on this out there? Oracle version is: 10.2.0.3.0, using PL/SQL Developer (from Allround Automation).

• DDMS plugin not loading GPX files

  I am unable to load a GPX file in the DDMS eclipse plugin. When specifying a GPX file, no points are added to the emulator control list. I have tried adding KML files as well, generated in Google earth. Is there a way to get these files to work?   I need to display a list of dates, which I have in a table SELECT mydate AS MyDate, 1 AS DateType FROM myTable WHERE myTable.fkId = @MyFkId; Jan 1, 2010 - 1 Jan 2, 2010 - 1 Jan 10, 2010 - 1 No problem. However, I now need to display the date before and the date after as well with a different DateType. Dec 31, 2009 - 2 Jan 1, 2010 - 1 Jan 2, 2010 - 1 Jan 3, 2010 - 2 Jan 9, 2010 - 2 Jan 10, 2010 - 1 Jan 11, 2010 - 2 I thought I could use a union SELECT MyDate, DateType FROM ( SELECT mydate - 1 AS MyDate, 2 AS DateType FROM myTable WHERE myTable.fkId = @MyFkId; UNION SELECT mydate + 1 AS MyDate, 2 AS DateType FROM myTable WHERE myTable.fkId = @MyFkId; UNION SELECT mydate AS MyDate, 1 AS DateType FROM myTable WHERE myTable.fkId = @MyFkId; ) AS myCombinedDateTable This however includes duplicates of the original dates. • JSoup - Select only one listobject

  I'm trying to extract some certain data from a website using JSoup and Java. So far I've been successful in what I'm trying to achieve. <ul class="beverageFacts"> <li><span>Årgång</span><strong>**2009**&nbsp;</strong></li> I want to extract what is inside the ** in the above HTML. I can do this by using the code that follows in JSoup: doc.select("ul.beverageFacts li:lt(1) strong"); I'm using the lt(1) because there are several more list items following that I want to omit. Now to my problem; there's an optional information tab on the site I'm extracting data from, and it also has a class called "beverageFacts". My code will at the moment extract that data too, which I don't want it to do. The code is further down in the source of the website, and I've tried to use the indexer :lt(1) here aswell, but it wont work. <div id="beverageMoreFacts" style="display: block"> <ul class="beverageFacts"><li class="half"> <span> Färg</span><strong> Ljusgul färg.</strong> My overall result is that I extract "2009 Ljusgul färg." instead of only "2009". How can I write my code so it will only extract the first part, which it succesfully does, and omits the rest? • how to split a very large database on sql server

  I have a 90 GB SQL Server database that I want to make more manageable. It stores stock data from 50+ different stocks from 2009 and 2010, and each stock is a separate table. Some tables have hundreds of millions of rows, and other have just a few million. What I want to do is somehow split the database, so that I don't have a single database file that is 90 GB. What I want is to be able to somehow magically split all the tables so that I can backup the 2009 data once and not have to keep on including it in the backup every time I backup the entire database, however, I would like the 2009 data to be included whenever I do a query. Is partitioning the database the way to go? Will it do the above for me, or will I need some other solution? I research partitioning, but I wasn't sure if that would solve all my problems.   I took over maintenance of a PHP app recently and I'm not super familiar with PHP but some of the things I've been seeing on the site are making me nervous that it could be vulnerable to a SQL injection attack. When I use that on the command line, I get an administrative user back, but when I try it in the application, I get an invalid username/password error, like I should. Could there be some sort of global PHP configuration they have enabled to block these attacks? Where would that be configured? • Truncating a file while it's being used (Linux)

  I have a process that's writing a lot of data to stdout, which I'm redirecting to a log file. I'd like to limit the size of the file by occasionally copying the current file to a new name and truncating it. My usual techniques of truncating a file, like cp /dev/null file don't work, presumably because the process is using it. Is there some way I can truncate the file? Or delete it and somehow associate the process' stdout with a new file? FWIW, it's a third party product that I can't modify to change its logging model. EDIT redirecting over the file seems to have the same issue as the copy above - the file returns to its previous size next time it's written to: ls -l sample.log ; echo > sample.log ; ls -l sample.log ; sleep 10 ; ls -l sample.log -rw-rw-r-- 1 user group 1291999 Jun 11 2009 sample.log -rw-rw-r-- 1 user group 1 Jun 11 2009 sample.log -rw-rw-r-- 1 user group 1292311 Jun 11 2009 sample.log
