  I am about to embark on developing a mobile application for both the iPhone and the Android based phone. I have most of my gui mock ups written down on a white board and some in my head. I need to put them down on paper so I can relay my designs to others in my team. I was wondering what the best on-line gui mockup tool I could use? I have a lot of experience with Visio and I truly like it. I want a tool that would be web based so I could collaborate with others on the team. • Page looks good in most browsers except in IE7...why

  Hi, The following page looks good in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE6 and IE8... but it looks bad in IE7. I don't have IE7 but I need to fix this issue because someone seen it in IE7 and it looks bad. Does anyone has any idea why this page renders different in IE7?...and what is the solution to make it display correctly? http://www.aetna.com/2009annualreport/mainBoard.html Problem: When you click on the "Board of Directors" or "Management Team" link and the listing table panel opens up, the far right third of the panel is getting cut off. When I open the Workspace, type in and evaluate the code: Object subclass: #Sudoku instanceVariableNames: 'board' classVariableNames: '' poolDictionaries: '' category: 'JiPP SudokuSolver'. everything works fine and the class is created and visible from Class Browser. The problem is, I want to add custom member method to this class, but without using Class Browser. Is it possible from the Workspace? I want to have one file with all the source code, so I don't have to worry about saving entire image.

  A security review was done against one of our ASP.net applications and returned in the test results was a SQL Injection Exposures considered to be a high risk item. The test that was performed passed a SQL statement as the value of the __EVENTTARGET and the __EVENTARGUMENT. I am wondering since these 2 values are ASP.net auto-generated hidden fields used for the Auto-Postback feature of the framework and hold information specific to the controls initiating the postback, is there really the potential for SQL injection if you are never manually calling and or pulling values out of these parameters in your code behind?

• Allowing asterisk in URL - ASP.NET MVC 2 - .NET 4.0 or encoding

  I'm having a trouble allowing asterisk (*) in the URL of my website. I am running ASP.NET MVC 2 and .NET 4.0. Here's an example that describes the problem: http://mysite.com/profile/view/Nice* The username is Nice* and ASP.NET says there are illegal characters in the URL: Illegal characters in path. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path. I have tried all the Web.config methods I've seen online such as: <pages validateRequest="false"> and <httpRuntime requestPathInvalidCharacters="" requestValidationMode="2.0" /> So my question is: Is it possible to allow asterisk in URL? If not, is there some encoding method in .NET that can encode asterisk(*) ? Thanks!

• How can I use the Fisher-Yates shuffle while ensuring my permutation is even?

  I'm interested making an implementation of the 14-15 puzzle: I'm creating an array with the values 0 - 15 in increasing order: S = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 } Now, what I want to do is shuffle them to create a new instance of the puzzle. However, I know that if I create a board with an "odd permutation" than it is unsolvable. Wikipedia says I need to create the puzzle with an even permutation. I believe this means that I simply have to do ensure I do an even number of swaps? How would I modify Fisher-Yates so I ensure I end up with an even permutation at the end? If I do a swap for every element in the array that would be 16 swaps which I believe would be an even permutation. However, do I need to be concerned about swapping with itself? Is there any other way to ensure I have a valid puzzle?

  I have just moved a site from a Windows 2003, IIS6 SQL 2005 server to a new one with Windows 2008, IIS7 and SQL 2008. I am having problems with the Report Viewer. I have installed the Report Viewer Re-distributable (I've tried 2005, 2005sp, 2008 and 2008sp) I've Mapped a handler in IIS for Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd to type Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a However whenever I run a report on the website I get the following error message: Could not load type 'Microsoft.Reporting.Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler' from assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'Microsoft.Reporting.Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler' from assembly 'Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. • DIV overlap on top of submit order INPUT button not working right in IE7

  I created a test account at www.avaline.com: username: [email protected] pass:test02 I'll keep the account around so you can see what's going on with this submit button without going through the registration process (and needing to fill in a fake address, etc). If logging in doesn't work, you can create your own test account though. Make sure at least one item is in your shopping cart, hit "proceed to checkout", and check off "PayPal" as your payment method (this way the payment won't go through for testing purposes). Once you're on the "review and submit" page, in IE7 (at least), hover over the "pay with Paypal" button, and you'll see that the cursor is a hand when you hover over the text or the button border, but it's a regular arrow when you hover over the button part. If you try clicking on the arrow-cursor area, you'll get the error that you should see...but if you click on the hand-cursor area, you get redirected to the paypal page. In FF, the #hidSubm DIV covers the "Pay with Paypal" button. Why isn't it working in IE7?

• PHP CMS with independent framework.

  We currently use MySource Matrix CMS for large projects, Wordpress CMS for small projects and Zend Framework for bespoke applications... I'm not trying to confuse and compare a CMS to a framework, that has been done before :-) I want to identify a few CMSs for review that have foundations in strong (preferably independent) PHP frameworks. The only one I have looked at is SilverStripe CMS and Sapphire Framework. We have many clients that have a CMS for internet and/ or extranet and then various other bespoke applications that are then integrated via various means to look like they're in the CMS. I believe it will be more productive and beneficial to have a common framework between these branches so they can be natively merged. Hope this makes sense. PS. I have used custom assets in MySource Matrix and specific modules in other CMS but you feel you are working for the CMS not the application you are building.

  I'm running this script on a page which shows a box with more information when you roll over it. site for review The script works fine, except theres a flicker of the box before it actually scales. What is causing this? I use the same thing in the main navigation with the same flicking. • Cocoa - Enumerate mutable array, removing objects

  Hey there, I have a mutable array that contains mutable dictionaries with strings for the keys latitude, longitude and id. Some of the latitude and longitude values are the same and I want to remove the duplicates from the array so I only have one object per location. I can enumerate my array and using a second enumeration review each object to find objects that have different ids, but the same latitude and longitude, but if I try to remove the object, I'm muting the array during enumeration. Is there any way to remove objects from an array while enumerating so I only enumerate the current set of objects as the array is updated? Hope this question makes sense. Thanks, Howie

  I'm coding a board game where there is a bag of possible pieces. Each turn, players remove randomly selected pieces from the bag according to certain rules. For my implementation, it may be easier to divide up the bag initially into pools for one or more players. These pools would be randomly selected, but now different players would be picking from different bags. Is this any different? If one player's bag ran out, more would be randomly shuffled into it from the general stockpile.

• substitution of someaddress.com on local desktop computer

  Here is VDS server with ip(for example 105.123.123.123) with working apache service. And there is a desktop computer with linux on board(but really I presume there is no difference). I need to type on web browser address like someaddress.com and to see website situated at my server. My /etc/hosts: 127.0.0.1 localhost 105.123.123.123 someaddress.com 105.123.123.123 www.someaddress.com But it doesn't work. I see real someaddress.com website. What can be wrong. It will be great if you help me with that. P.S. Why I need this. There is one project with fixed links(like someaddress.com/inf). And I need to test it.

• Cross compiling unit tests with CppUnit or similar

  Has anyone used a package like CppUnit to cross-compile C++ unit tests to run on an embedded platform? I'm using G++ on a Linux box to compile executables that must be run on a LynxOS board. I can't seem to get any of the common unit test packages to configure and build something that will create unit tests. I see a lot of unit test packages, CppUnit, UnitTest++, GTest, CppUTest, etc., but very little about using these packages in a cross-compiler scenario. The ones with a "configure" script imply that this is possible, but I can't seem to get them to configure and build.

• How to store the path of a game pawn in a turn based game ?

  Hello, I have a square grid, for a turn based game ( grid is similar to the chess board ), but the moves in the games are different based on whether you have lapped your opponent pawn at least once or not. i.e if you have not lapped (beaten any of the opponents pawns) in the outer most grid as below if you have lapped your opponent pawn once at least, then you get to reach home,this way.Any player having all his pawns reaching "home" first wins. The ones in yellow are safe-houses, i.e both the opponent pawn and the player's pawn get to stay in the same grid, this is not considered to be lapping ( the opponent ).The lapped pawn will return to its start point. Now the question is, what is the effective way to store the paths for the all the pawns.we will have 4 pawns for the player and 4 opponent pawns. Is there any pattern to store such static information, in a elegant way ? Thanks for your time

• Any good card game AI strategies?

  What would be strategies for writing a good computer opponent for a card game? Most card games are games of incomplete information, so simply mapping out and traversing the game tree as one could do with a board game does not seem too promising. Maybe one could track what open cards are in the game (as soon as they are revealed) and assign probabilities to certain events (e.g. opponent still has 2 cards of clubs). I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors The view 'Index' or its master was not found. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location. • Ubuntu: What gcc to use when crosscompiling for the STM32 (Cortex-M3)?

  Hi I'm trying to get started with the STM32 (Cortex-M3) and my plan is get this working from Ubuntu (9.04 / AMD64). To start with I got the Olimex stm32-h103 header board and the Olimex ARM-USB-OCD jtag, and on to of that I will probably use OpenOCD, gcc and Eclipse. But right now I'm looking into what version of gcc to use and how to setup that to be able to crosscompile the code. There seem to be some arm projects out there but I don't know what to start with, can somebody push me in the right direction? Thanks Johan Update: There seems almost to be what I want from codesourcery, but they seem to focus on IA32 and not AMD64. However in the supported devices I find the Cortex-M3 ARM EABI, ARM M-profile Simulator -mcpu=cortex-m3 -mthumb Update: There is a possibility to install IA32 on AMD64, so maybe the marked answer is obsolete already.
