    - by Carpentar
    Hello all, I wonder how would I go about doing this. I want to change a behavior for a list. When a list is added into sharepoint site, you can see 'Add New Item' underneath the list. When the user adds a new item, it should be replaced with 'Edit Item' How can I achieve this? Many thanks,

  • Change a link's href value based on time

    - by justSteve
    I'm coding a 'Connect to Meeting' page where i would like the link that allows attendees to join our GoToMeeting event to 'become active' 15 minutes prior to the start time. So the page users visit to see the connection info (meetingID, password) includes the start time of the meeting. I need a button ('Connect To Meeting') to change from inactive to Active when [Now() < (StartTime()-15minutes)].

  • Active Directory: how to be SURE users can change their own passwords?

    - by Latro
    Working on some project where a tool we have has to authenticate against AD connecting via LDAPS and perform password changes if required or requested. IN THEORY, the tool does that, and we have seen it work in other projects. IN PRACTICE, against this particular directory, it fails. Been driving me crazy. The particulars of the situation: Windows 2003 AD Defined a "technical user" for the LDAP connection with rights to change users passwords When password change is required - in this case, because pwdLastSet is 0 - the tool uses the technical account to go, bind to the controller and change the user password. If password change is not required but the user request it, then the bind is done with the user account. That last condition is the one that doesnt work. With the technical user the password change is possible, but with the user itself, it isnt. We get an error like this: LDAP access failed: javax.naming.directory.InvalidAttributeValueException: [LDAP: error code 19 - 0000052D: AtrErr: DSID-03190F00, #1: 0: 0000052D: DSID-03190F00, problem 1005 (CONSTRAINT_ATT_TYPE), data 0, Att 9005a (unicodePwd) no idea what DSID-03190F00 means cause it doesnt seem to be anywhere in google :-/ Been looking at several MS documentation pages and frankly, I'm not understanding one bit of it. There is some "control access right" called User-Change-Password that may, or may not, control what objects have the right to change their own password, which may, or may not, have to do with ACE and ACLs... There is GPO. There is maybe the password policy but it is only set to ask for passwords of 6 chars or more... Can anybody explain to me in easy-to-check steps how can I go and tell the AD admin guy (who is as lost as me) what to do to ensure that users in the AD directory (objectClass top,person,organizationalPerson and user) are able to change their own passwords by themselves? Thanks in advance

  • Problem compiling hive with ant

    - by conandor
    I compiling with Solaris 10 SPARC, jdk 1.6 from Sun, Ant 1.7.1 from OpenCSW. I have no problem running hadoop 0.17.2.1 However, I have problem compiling/integrating hive with the error 'cannot find symbol', although I followed the tutorial. I have the hive source code from SVN exactly from tutorial. How can I know the hive version I compiling and how can I compile against hadoop 0.17.2.1? Please advice. Thank you. -bash-3.00$ export PATH=/usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.6.0/bin:/usr/bin:/opt/csw/bin:/opt/webstack/bin -bash-3.00$ export JAVA_HOME=/usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.6.0 -bash-3.00$ export • .NET 4.0 Forms Authentication change?

    - by James Koch
    I'm seeing some new behavior in Forms Authentication after upgrading to .NET 4.0. This occurs only on IIS 6, not on 7. Background - In web.config, we configure Forms Authentication, and then use <authorization tags to globally deny anonymous/unauthenticated users access. Then we explicitly allow access to a login.aspx page using a <location tag. Generally, this works fine, as it did when we were on .NET 2.0 (3.5). The issue only occurs when we visit the root path of the site, ie "http://myserver/". Our default document is configured in IIS to be login.aspx. Under .NET 4.0, upon visiting that URL, we're redirected to "http://myserver/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/". If you log in from here, you're logged in and returned back at the log in page (yuck). Just wanted to post this here to see if anyone else is experiencing this. It's not listed on any "breaking changes" documentation I've been able to find. Either I'm missing something, or the UrlAuthorization module has changed and is no longer "smart" about IIS default documents.

  • Cannot change font size /type in plots

    - by Sameet Nabar
    I recently had to re-install my operating system (Ubuntu). The only thing I did differently is that I installed Matlab on a separate partition, not the main Ubuntu partition. After re-installing, the fonts in my plots are no longer configurable. For example, if I ask the title font to be bold, it doesn't happen. I ran the sample code below on my computer and then on my colleague's computer and the 2 results are attached. This cannot be a problem with the code; rather in the settings of Matlab. Could somebody please tell me what settings I need to change? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Sameet. x1=-pi:.1:pi; x2=-pi:pi/10:pi; y1=sin(x1); y2=tan(sin(x2)) - sin(tan(x2)); [AX,H1,H2]=plotyy(x1,y1,x2,y2); xlabel ('Time (hh:mm)'); ylabel (AX(1), 'Plot1'); ylabel (AX(2), 'Plot2'); axes(AX(2)) set(H1,'linestyle','none','marker','.'); set(H2,'linestyle','none','marker','.'); title('Plot Title','FontWeight','bold'); set(gcf, 'Visible', 'off'); [legh, objh] = legend([H1 H2],'Plot1', 'Plot2','location','Best'); set(legend,'FontSize',8); print -dpng Trial.png; Bad image: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/708/trial1u.png/ Good image: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/87/trial2.png/

  • global variables doesn't change value in Javascript

    - by user1856906
    My project is composed by 2 html pages: 1)index.html, wich contains the login and the registration form. 2)user_logged.html, wich contains all the features of a logged user. Now, what I want to do is a control if the user is really logged, to avoid the case where a user paste a url in the browser and can see the pages of another user. hours as now, if a user paste this url in the browser: www.user_loggato.html?user=x#profile is as if logged in as user x and this is not nice. My html pages both use js files that contains scripts. I decided to create a global variable called logged inizialized to false and change the variable to true when the login is succesfull. The problem is that the variable, remains false. here is the code: var logged=false; (write in the file a.js) while in the file b.js I have: function login() { //if succesfull logged=true; window.location.href = "user_loggato.html?user="+ JSON.parse(str).username + #profilo"; Now with some alerts I found that my variable logged is always false. Why? if I have not explained well or if there is not some information in order to respond to my question let me know.

  • Rails & combo box change event: Help make this obtrusive javascript unobtrusive

    - by DJTripleThreat
    Ok so a friend of mine gave some help with a prototype/obtrusive solution to this but its not quite there. Also, I want to make this unobtrusive instead of using the observe_field function that rails gives me. I don't want to use prototype either because I'm more familiar with JQuery. Here's my problem: I have an Event that can have multiple ServiceTypes and a ServiceType can belong to many Events. A many-to-many relationship between these two exists as an OfferedService. When creating an event, I have a drop down with a list of TimeAllotments that are something like 10 minutes, 12 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes etc. When the user selects one of these choices, I want a div tag to be filled with a list of ServiceTypes that are associated with this TimeAllotment. So for example, the user selects "10 minutes" and then the div repopulates with services that last 10 minutes. Here is what I have so far: ... some erb code etc and then <fieldset> <legend><%= f.label :time_allotment, "Size of the Appointment Slots:" %></legend> <div> <span class="field-group"> <div> <!-- TimeAllotment is a tabless model which is why this is done like so... --> <%= select("event_service", "time_allotment", TimeAllotment.all.collect {|ta| [ta.title, ta.value]}, {:prompt => true}) %> </div> </span> </div> <div style="clear:both;"></div> Services: <div> <span class="field-group"> <!-- this div right here needs to be repopulated when the above select changes. --> <div id="services"> <% for service_type in ServiceType.all %> <div> <%= check_box_tag "event_service[service_type_ids][]", service_type.id, false %> <%=h service_type.title %> </div> <% end %> </div> </span> </div> <div class="clear"></div> </fieldset> ok so right now ALL of the services are there to be chosen from. I want them to change based on what is selected in the combobox event_service_time_allotment. Can someone help me get pointed in the right direction? I have looked at Ryan's rails casts for using JQuery but its not helpful because he deals with ajax calls for the create action. This would be for the new or edit action. I have a new.js.erb but it doesn't get loaded when calling the new action. I'm super lost as far as getting JQuery to work with my application. I think that if someone can just show me how to make an alert pop up when I change the combo box, and how to return a dataset using ajax the right now, I think I can figure out the rest. Thanks, I know this is super complicated so any helpful answers will get an upvote.

  • Binding a property to change the listbox items foreground individually for each item

    - by Eyal-Shilony
    I'm trying to change the foreground color of the items in the ListBox individually for each item, I've already posted a similar question but this one is more concrete. I hoped that the state of the color is reserved for each item added to the ListBox, so I tried to create a property (in this case "HotkeysForeground"), bind it and change the color when the items are added in the "HotkeyManager_NewHotkey" event, the problem it's changing the foreground color for all the items in the ListBox. How can I do that per item ? Here is the ViewModel I use. namespace Monkey.Core.ViewModel { using System; using System.Collections.ObjectModel; using System.Windows.Media; using Monkey.Core.SystemMonitor.Accessibility; using Monkey.Core.SystemMonitor.Input; public class MainWindowViewModel : WorkspaceViewModel { private readonly FocusManager _focusManager; private readonly HotkeyManager _hotkeyManager; private readonly ObservableCollection<string> _hotkeys; private Color _foregroundColor; private string _title; public MainWindowViewModel() { _hotkeys = new ObservableCollection<string>(); _hotkeyManager = new HotkeyManager(); _hotkeyManager.NewHotkey += HotkeyManager_NewHotkey; _focusManager = new FocusManager(); _focusManager.Focus += FocusManager_Focus; } public Color HotkeysForeground { get { return _foregroundColor; } set { _foregroundColor = value; OnPropertyChanged(() => HotkeysForeground); } } public ReadOnlyObservableCollection<string> Hotkeys { get { return new ReadOnlyObservableCollection<string>(_hotkeys); } } public string Title { get { return _title; } set { _title = value; OnPropertyChanged(() => Title); } } protected override void OnDispose() { base.OnDispose(); _hotkeyManager.Dispose(); _focusManager.Dispose(); } private void FocusManager_Focus(object sender, FocusManagerEventArgs e) { Title = e.Title; } private void HotkeyManager_NewHotkey(object sender, EventArgs eventArgs) { HotkeysForeground = _hotkeys.Count <= 2 ? Colors.Blue : Colors.Brown; _hotkeys.Clear(); foreach (var hotkey in _hotkeyManager.GetHotkeys()) { _hotkeys.Add(hotkey); } } } } Here is the view. <Window x:Class="Monkey.View.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:System="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorlib" Title="{Binding Mode=OneWay, Path=Title, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" Height="200" Width="200" ShowInTaskbar="False" WindowStyle="ToolWindow" Topmost="True" ResizeMode="CanResizeWithGrip" AllowsTransparency="False"> <Window.Resources> <SolidColorBrush Color="{Binding HotkeysForeground}" x:Key="HotkeysBrush"/> </Window.Resources> <ListBox Canvas.Left="110" Canvas.Top="74" Name="HotkeyList" Height="Auto" Width="Auto" HorizontalContentAlignment="Left" BorderThickness="0" ScrollViewer.CanContentScroll="False" ScrollViewer.HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" ScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Hotkeys}" VerticalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalContentAlignment="Center" FontSize="20"> <ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <Style TargetType="ListBoxItem"> <Setter Property="IsEnabled" Value="False" /> </Style> </ListBox.ItemContainerStyle> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Label Content="{Binding}" Foreground="{StaticResource HotkeysBrush}"/> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> </Window> Thank you in advance.

  • AJAX Password Change without Refresh

    - by Richard
    I'm trying to implement password change functionality into my website. I've got all the password changing script, validation, etc done. But now I need to prevent the page from going to the script page or refreshing. When the user clicks the submit button, I want nothing to change except a message displaying successfully changed or error. So here's my html: <form id="change_Pass" action="" method="post"> Current Password<input type="password" id="change_password" name="change_password"><br> New Password<input type="password" id="new_password" name="new_password"><br> Verify Password<input type="password" id="verify_password" name="verify_password"><br> <input type="submit" value="Submit" id="change_pass_submit"> </form> And my jquery: $('#change_pass_submit').click(function(){ var $this = $(this); $.ajax({ data: $this.serialize(), // get the form data type: "POST", // GET or POST url: "/Private/change_password.php", // the file to call success: function() { // on success.. //$('#success_div).html(response); // update the DIV alert("good"); }, error: function() { // on error.. //$('#error_div).html(e); // update the DIV alert("bad"); } }); return false; //so it doesn't refresh when submitting the page }); And my php: <?php session_start(); require_once '../classes/Bcrypt.php'; ini_set('display_errors', 'On'); error_reporting(E_ALL | E_STRICT); $usr = $_SESSION["username"]; $old_pwd = $_POST["change_password"]; $new_pwd = $_POST["new_password"]; $new_pwd = Bcrypt::hash($new_pwd); try { $link = new PDO('mysql:host=*;dbname=*;charset=UTF-8','*','*'); $query = "SELECT * FROM Conference WHERE Username = :un"; $stmt = $link->prepare($query); $stmt->bindParam(':un', $usr); $stmt->execute(); $row = $stmt->fetchAll(); $hash = $row[0]["Password"]; $is_correct = Bcrypt::check($old_pwd, $hash); if($is_correct) { $query = "UPDATE Conference SET `Password`=:new_pwd WHERE Username = :usr"; $stmt = $link->prepare($query); $stmt->bindParam(':new_pwd', $new_pwd); $stmt->bindParam(':usr', $usr); $stmt->execute(); return true; } else return false; } catch(PDOException $e) { print "Error!: " . $e->getMessage() . "<br/>"; die(); } But for some reason, when I hit the submit button, the page STILL goes to change_password.php. I have no idea why, i've looked at so many tutorials and my code matches theirs but for some reason mine won't stay on the same page. Where did I go wrong?

  • Change ListView background - strage behaviour

    - by Beasly
    Hi again, I have a problem with changing the background of a view in a ListView. What I need: Change the background image of a row onClick() What actually happens: The background gets changed (selected) after pressing e.g. the first entry. But after scrolling down the 8th entry is selected too. Scroll back to the top the first isn't selected anymore. The second entry is selected now. Continue scrolling and it continues jumping... What i'm dong in the Code: I have channels, and onClick() I toggle an attribute of channel boolean selected and then I change the background. I'm doing this only onClick() thats why I don't get why it's actuelly happening on other entries too. One thing I notices is: It seems to be only the "drawing"-part because the item which get selected "by it self" has still the selected value on false I think it seems to have something to do with the reuse of the views in the custom ListAdapters getView(...) Code of onClick() in ListActivity: @Override protected ViewHolder createHolder(View v) { // createHolder will be called only as long, as the ListView is not // filled TextView title = (TextView) v .findViewById(R.id.tv_title_channel_list_adapter); TextView content = (TextView) v .findViewById(R.id.tv_content_channel_list_adapter); ImageView icon = (ImageView) v .findViewById(R.id.icon_channel_list_adapter); if (title == null || content == null || icon == null) { Log.e("ERROR on findViewById", "Couldn't find Title, Content or Icon"); } ViewHolder mvh = new MyViewHolder(title, content, icon); // We make the views become clickable // so, it is not necessary to use the android:clickable attribute in // XML v.setOnClickListener(new ChannelListAdapter.OnClickListener(mvh) { public void onClick(View v, ViewHolder viewHolder) { // we toggle the enabled state and also switch the the // background MyViewHolder mvh = (MyViewHolder) viewHolder; Channel ch = (Channel) mvh.data; ch.setSelected(!ch.getSelected()); // toggle if (ch.getSelected()) { v.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.row_blue_selected); } else { v.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.row_blue); } // TESTING Log.d("onClick() Channel", "onClick() Channel: " + ch.getTitle() + " selected: " + ch.getSelected()); } }); return mvh; } Code of getView(...): @Override public View getView(int position, View view, ViewGroup parent) { ViewHolder holder; // When view is not null, we can reuse it directly, there is no need // to reinflate it. // We only inflate a new View when the view supplied by ListView is // null. if (view == null) { view = mInflater.inflate(mViewId, null); // call own implementation holder = createHolder(view); // TEST // we set the holder as tag view.setTag(holder); } else { // get holder back...much faster than inflate holder = (ViewHolder) view.getTag(); } // we must update the object's reference holder.data = getItem(position); // call the own implementation bindHolder(holder); return view; } I really would appreciate any idea how to solve this! :) If more information is needed please tell me. Thanks in advance!

  • Change style display for cells with Javascript

    - by Ronny
    Hi, I want to do something like this: user selects one radio button (lock,delete or compare). I want to show to him only the relevant column from the table. (each option has different column). The table is ajax. I guess i need to change the display style for every cell but i don't know how. Here is example: Here i want to change the display of the cells function ButtonForTbl(value) { var x=document.getElementById("audithead").rows[0].cells; if (value == "lock"){ document.getElementById('lock').checked = true; //something like for(...)lockCell.style.display='' //something like for(...)deleteCell.style.display='none' //something like for(...)compareCell.style.display='none' } else if(value == "delete"){ document.getElementById('delete').checked = true; //something like for(...)lockCell.style.display='none' //something like for(...)deleteCell.style.display='' //something like for(...)compareCell.style.display='none' } else{ document.getElementById('compare').checked = true; } } I guess i need something like that: for (i = 0; i < deleteCell.length; i++) deleteCell[i].style.display='' = true ; The table: oCell = oRow.insertCell(-1); oCell.setAttribute('id','comCell' ); oCell.setAttribute('align', 'center'); oCell.innerHTML = "<input type='checkbox' id='com' value='"+ ind + "'name='com[]'>"; oCell = oRow.insertCell(-1); oCell.setAttribute('id','lockCell' ); oCell.setAttribute('align', 'center'); oCell.innerHTML = "<input type='checkbox' id='lock' value='"+ ind + "'name='lock[]'>"; Radio buttons: <input type="radio" value="compare" id="compare" name="choose" onclick="ButtonForTbl(this.value)"/> Compare&nbsp; <input type="radio" value="delete" id="delete" name="choose" onclick="ButtonForTbl(this.value)"/> Delete&nbsp; <input type="radio" value="lock" id="lock" name="choose" onclick="ButtonForTbl(this.value)"/> Lock<br/> The table html: <table class="auditable"> <thead id="audithead"> <tr><td></td></tr> </thead> <tbody id="auditTblBody"> </tbody> </table> EDIT: Full row is like that: <tr> <td align="center" id="lockCell" style="display: none;"> <input type="checkbox" onclick="" name="lock[]" value="1500" id="lock"></td> <td align="center" id="delCell" style="display: none;"> <input type="checkbox" name="del[]" value="1500"></td> <td align="center" id="comCell"> <input type="checkbox" onclick="setChecks(this)" name="com[]" value="1500" id="com"></td> <td width="65px">100% 1/1</td><td width="105px">2011-01-10 17:47:37</td> </tr> Thank you so much!

  • Change a dropdown depending on another dropdown

    - by Eric Evans
    I'm trying to create a three select dropdowns that represent a persons birthday. I'm taking into consideration that there are 4 months with 30 days, 7 with 31 ,and 1 with 28 or 29 depending if it's a leap year or not. I would like the days dropdown to show the number of days depending on which month is chosen in the month dropdown. Here's what I have now. Here's the html for the select <!Doctype html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Birthday validation</title> <script src="jquery-1.11.1.min.js"></script> <script src="birthday_drop.js"></script> <link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet /> </head> <body> <h2>Birthday</h2> <fieldset class="birthday-picker"> <select class="birth-month" name="birth[month]"><option>Month</option></select> <select class="birth-day" name="birth[day]"><option>Day</option></select> <select class="birth-year" name="birth[year]"><option>Year</option></select> </fieldset> </body> </html> Here's the jquery that populates the dropdowns and my attempt to use the change function /** * Created by Eric Evans on 8/19/14. */ $(document).ready(function(){ var months = ['January','February','March','April','May','June','July','August','September','October','November','December']; for(i=0; i < months.length; i++){ $("<option value=' + months[i] + '>" + months[i] + "</option>").appendTo('.birth-month'); } for(i=0; i <= 31; i++){ $("<option value=' + i + '>" + i + "</option>").appendTo('.birth-day'); } var myYear = new Date().getFullYear(); for(i=myYear; i >= 1950; i--){ $("<option value=' + i + '>" + i + "</option>").appendTo('.birth-year'); } $('.birth-month').change(function(){ if($(this).val() == 'April'){ for(i=0; i <= 30; i++){ $("<option value=' + i + '>" + i + "</option>").appendTo('.birth-day'); } } }); }); Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • how to change ruby path from /usr/bin/ruby to /usr/local/bin/ruby

    - by HelloWorld
    reading around the various ruby install tutorials it's required to change path from /usr/bin/ruby to /usr/local/bin/ruby but i cant seem to be able to do it. Ultimately i want to install Ruby 1.9.2, should i uninstall 1.8.7 or what? i tried to install Ruby 1.9.2 with macports, the installation seemed to go ok, but i cant find the new version, i seem to be stuck with 1.8.7 iMac:~ rebel$ which ruby /usr/bin/ruby rebel$ ruby -v ruby 1.8.7 (2009-06-12 patchlevel 174) [universal-darwin10.0] .profile export PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:$PATH export PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/mysql/bin:$PATH"

  • [Android] Change language settings (locale) for the device

    - by raychenon
    Hi, I know it's possible to have multiple languages in a single application through the res/string and depending on Locale. Here is a case http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2078289/android-controling-the-user-language Now how can I change the language in the phone ? Like I'd do by Menu Settings Language & Keyboard Select locale languages Is there some real code to access to these settings ? Or should I create intent for a shortcut to the language settings. Please post some code Edit : With Locale class developer.android.com/intl/fr/reference/java/util/Locale.html The constructor is at least Locale(String language) The input is language. How can you retrieve the current language used on the device ?

  • Android -- Change the AlertDialog Animation?

    - by borg17of20
    Hello all, Does anyone know how to change the in/out animations of an extended AlertDialog? I connot figure out how to do this. See below for what I have so far (it doesn't work though): public class PauseMenu extends AlertDialog { private Context myContext; public PauseMenu(Context context, int theme) { super(context, theme); myContext = context; } protected PauseMenu(Context context, boolean cancelable, OnCancelListener cancelListener) { super(context, cancelable, cancelListener); myContext = context; } public PauseMenu(Context context) { super(context); myContext = context; } @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub //super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); this.setContentView(R.layout.pause_menu); //this.getWindow().getDecorView().setAnimation(new ViewZoomAnimation()); this.getWindow().getDecorView().setAnimation(AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(myContext, R.anim.slide_in_bottom_newgame)); } } Thanks.

  • Change Default Scrolling Behavior of UITableView Section Header

    - by davidjhinson
    I have a UITableView with two sections. It is a simple table view. I am using viewForHeaderInSection to create custom views for these headers. So far, so good. The default scrolling behavior is that when a section is encountered, the section header stays anchored below the Nav bar, until the next section scrolls into view. My question is this: can I change the default behavior so that the section headers do NOT stay anchored at the top, but rather, scroll under the nav bar with the rest of the section rows? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks.

  • Change user email in Django without using django-profiles

    - by mridang
    Hi guys, In my Django application I would like the user to be able to change the email address. I've seen solution of StackOverflow pointing people to django-profiles. Unfortunately I don't want to use a full fledged profile module to accomplish a tiny feat of changing the users email. Has anyone seen this implemented anywhere. The email address verification procedure by sending a confirmation email is a requisite in this scenario. I've spent a great a deal of time trying to a find a solution that works but to no avail. Cheers.
