  • How can I write an XSLT that will recursively include other files?

    - by Eric
    Let's say I have a series of xml files in this format: A.xml: <page> <header>Page A</header> <content>blAh blAh blAh</content> </page> B.xml: <page also-include="A.xml"> <header>Page B</header> <content>Blah Blah Blah</content> </page> Using this XSLT: <xsl:stylesheet version="2.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="/page"> <h1> <xsl:value-of select="header" /> </h1> <p> <xsl:value-of select="content" /> </p> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> I can turn A.xml into this: <h1> Page A </h1> <p> blAh blAh blAh </p> But how would I make it also turn B.xml into this? <h1> Page B </h1> <p> Blah Blah Blah </p> <p> blAh blAh blAh </p> I know that I need to use document(concat(@also-include,'.xml')) somewhere, but I'm not sure where. Oh, and the catch is, I need this to still work if B were to be included in a third file, C.xml. Any idea as to how to do this?

  • Linking to an item in another node (XSLT)

    - by Andrew Parisi
    I have an XML document with companies listed in it. I want to create a link with XSLT that contains the <link> child of the next node. Sorry if this is confusing..here is some sample XML of what i'm trying to obtain: <portfolio> <company> <name>Dano Industries</name> <link>dano.xml</link> </company> <company> <name>Mike and Co.</name> <link>mike.xml</link> </company> <company> <name>Steve Inc.</name> <link>steve.xml</link> </company> </portfolio> I want two links, "BACK" and "NEXT". While currently on mike.xml, I want BACK to link to "dano.xml" and NEXT linked to "steve.xml"...etc..and have it dynamically change when on a different page based on the nodes around it. I want to do this because I may add and change the list as I go along, so I don't want to have to manually re-link everything. How can I obtain this? Sorry I am new to XSLT, so please explain with solution if possible! Thanks in advance!

  • How to Parse an XML (using XELement) having multiple Namespace ?

    - by Subhen
    Hi I , I get the followinng Xresponse after parsing the XML document: <DIDL-Lite xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:metadata-1-0/DIDL-Lite/" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:upnp="urn:schemas-upnp-org:metadata-1-0/upnp/" xmlns:dlna="urn:schemas-dlna-org:metadata-1-0/"> <item id="1182" parentID="40" restricted="1"> <title>Hot Issue</title> </item> As per the earlier thread, When there is a default namespace in the document, you must parse it as if it were a named namespace. For example. XNamespace ns = "urn:schemas-upnp-org:metadata-1-0/DIDL-Lite/"; var xDIDL = xResponse.Element(ns + "DIDL-Lite"); But in my case I have four different name space. I am not getting any results after using the following query , I am getting the response , Not Yeilding any results: XNamespace dc = "http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"; var vAudioData = from xAudioinfo in xResponse.Descendants(ns + "DIDL-lite").Elements("item") select new RMSMedia { strAudioTitle = ((string)xAudioinfo.Element(dc + "title")).Trim(), }; I have no clue whats going on as am new to it. Please help

  • How do I add array indices to the XML produced by JAXB?

    - by oconnor0
    I have a Java bean ala @XmlRootElement public class Bean { @XmlElementWrapper(name = "ints") @XmlElement(name = "int") int[] values; // constructors, getters, setters, etc... } JAXB is producing XML like <bean> <ints> <int>12</int> <int>34</int> <int>56</int> </ints> </bean> I would like the array indices to be included on the <int> tags as array position conveys important value. Preferably as attributes like <bean> <ints> <int id='0'>12</int> <int id='1'>34</int> <int id='2'>56</int> </ints> </bean> Is there a way to do this?

    I am using PHP to iterate over the following result set, the aim is to build a hyperlink for each result using a foreach loop. I have stored the XML result in $images, and have constructed this loop: foreach ($images as $image) { //Build link to each photo returned //base URL $flickrPhotoUrl = 'http://www.flickr.com/photos/'; //Append user ID $flickrPhotoUrl .= ""; echo $flickrPhotoUrl; } Here is a sample result from Flickr: <photos page="1" pages="10982" perpage="10" total="109813"> <photo id="4616840471" owner="47823583@N03" secret="1b83173bc0" server="4013" farm="5" title="Strawberry Bears" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616612597" owner="12658756@N08" secret="f626214382" server="4059" farm="5" title="Yarn Chef Minestrone - Grickle Grass" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616469567" owner="26284268@N00" secret="6911a66838" server="4022" farm="5" title="P5130121.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617076736" owner="26284268@N00" secret="8b990acba4" server="4047" farm="5" title="P5130106.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616470013" owner="26284268@N00" secret="44600b3836" server="4036" farm="5" title="P5130125.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4616466147" owner="26284268@N00" secret="554eab8667" server="4052" farm="5" title="P5130116.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617082398" owner="26284268@N00" secret="4a2b663442" server="3350" farm="4" title="P5130118.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617078272" owner="26284268@N00" secret="357737017b" server="4013" farm="5" title="P5130109.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617081446" owner="26284268@N00" secret="1f87726497" server="4048" farm="5" title="P5130117.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo> <photo id="4617077676" owner="26284268@N00" secret="77ca9f754a" server="3330" farm="4" title="P5130108.JPG" ispublic="1" isfriend="0" isfamily="0"></photo>

  • Using TXMLDocument to serialize form settings to XML and database.

    - by LukLed
    I have an interface: type IXMLSerializable = interface function SaveToXML : DOMString; function SaveToXMLDocument : IXMLDocument; procedure LoadFromXML(AXML : DOMString); end; It is used to serialize some settings of forms or frames to xml. Simple implementation: SaveToXMLDocument: function TSomething.SaveToXMLDocument: IXMLDocument; begin Result := TXMLDocument.Create(nil); with Result do begin Active := True; with AddChild(Self.Name) do begin AddChild(edSomeTextBox.Name).Attributes['Text'] := edSomeTextBox.Text; end; end; Result := XMLDoc; end; LoadFromXML: procedure TSomething.LoadFromXML(AXML: DOMString); var XMLDoc : IXMLDocument; I : Integer; begin XMLDoc := TXMLDocument.Create(nil); with XMLDoc do begin LoadFromXML(AXML); Active := True; with ChildNodes[0] do begin for I := 0 to ChildNodes.Count-1 do begin If ChildNodes[I].NodeName = 'edSomeTextBox' then edSomeTextBox.Text := ChildNodes[I].Attributes['Text']; end; end; end; end; SaveToXML: function TSomething.SaveToXML: DOMString; begin SaveToXMLDocument.SaveToXML(Result); end; DOMString result of SaveToXML is saved to database to blob field. I had some encoding issues with other implementations and this one works fine (right now). Do you see any dangers in this code? Can I have issues with different settings on various machines and systems?

  • How to get XML nodes content when names include special Characters?

    - by paoloi
    Im trying to navigate an XML block similar to this one ($doc) using PHP simplexml_load_string and using xpath on $doc to get only the 'Day' block like this: $myday = $doc->xpath ('//Day'); that lets me access all data from the block as an object, meaning $doc-AdultCount returns 1 and $doc-Id returns "6a0" however I can't access "SpecialDeals" content not using: $doc-SpecialDeals nor using: $doc-SpecialDeals-a:string Whats is the right syntax in this case? Thanks in advance. <Days> <DaysId>687</DaysId> <Day> <AdultsCount>1</AdultsCount> <Availability>Available</Availability> <Id>6a0</Id> <RoomType>Studio</RoomType> <SpecialDeals xmlns:a="http://microsoft.com/2003/Arrays"> <a:string>Best Day Ever</a:string> </SpecialDeals> </Day> <DaysPrice>247.4</DaysPrice> </Days>");

  • How to split a string with negative numbers using ActionScript 3.0

    - by inzombiak
    I'm having trouble loading my level. I'm using Ogmo to create my level then I import it. I have no problem converting 0's and 1's into an Array, but I can't figure out how to do the same for -1's. It separates the "-" and the "1". Any help would be great. I've posted my code and the XML files below levelXML = new XML(e.target.data); playerX = int(levelXML.Entities.Player.@x); playerY = int(levelXML.Entities.Player.@y); levelGrid = levelXML.Grid; levelGrid = levelGrid.split("\n").join(""); levelTiles = levelXML.Tiles; levelTiles = levelTiles.split("\n").join(""); levelTiles = levelTiles.split(",").join(""); tileArray = levelTiles.split(""); gridArray = levelGrid.split(""); for(i = 0; i <= 34; i++) { levelArray[i] = new Array(); for(j = 0; j <= 34; j++) { if(tileArray[j*35 + i] == 0) { gridArray[j*35+i] = -1; } var currentSymbol = gridArray[j*35+i]; levelArray[i][j] = currentSymbol; if(gridArray[j*35 + i] == 1) { wall = new Wall; addChild(wall); wall.x = i*20 + 10; wall.y = j*20 + 10; } else if(gridArray[j*35 + i] == -1) { pellet = new Pellet; addChild(pellet); pellet.x = i*20 + 10; pellet.y = j*20 + 10; } } } I know the code is very dirty, but I needed a quick fix. Hello, I have nfs4 configured between a RHEL 5.3 server (charlie) and a RHEL 5.4 client (simcom1). The machines are configured to authenticate users via kerberos by a Windows Server 2008 active directory machine called "alpha." Alpha also serves as a dns and dhcp machine for the local network. I notice that when a user logs in to a RHEL machine for the first time they are issued a unique uid to that machine; The first user to log on gets 10001. So, what I see is that users between simcom1 and charlie have different UIDs. When a user does an 'ls -la' command from within an nfs4 mount I would have thought that the usernames in the owner column would indicate 'nobody' or at least the wrong user name - since UIDs are different between the machines for each user, and not all users have logged into each machine. However, the simcom1 is able to resolve usernames in an 'ls -la' executed on files residing on charlie via nfs4 correctly. Most troubling is that users are unable to write to files across the nfs mount. The server, charlie, has the root directory exported as rw. The client, simcom1, mounts the export as rw. My configurations are shown below. My question is, how do I configure the RHEL machines to allow users to write files across nfs4 that is already mounted as read/write? [root@charlie ~]# more /etc/exports / 10.100.0.0/16(rw,no_root_squash,fsid=0) [root@charlie ~]#cat /etc/sysconfig/nfs # # Define which protocol versions mountd # will advertise. • What is a good way to store tilemap data?

    - by Stephen Tierney
    I'm developing a 2D platformer with some uni friends. We've based it upon the XNA Platformer Starter Kit which uses .txt files to store the tile map. While this is simple it does not give us enough control and flexibility with level design. Some examples: for multiple layers of content multiple files are required, each object is fixed onto the grid, doesn't allow for rotation of objects, limited number of characters etc. So I'm doing some research into how to store the level data and map file. This concerns only the file system storage of the tile maps, not the data structure to be used by the game while it is running. The tile map is loaded into a 2D array, so this question is about which source to fill the array from. Reasoning for DB: From my perspective I see less redundancy of data using a database to store the tile data. Tiles in the same x,y position with the same characteristics can be reused from level to level. It seems like it would simple enough to write a method to retrieve all the tiles that are used in a particular level from the database. Reasoning for JSON/XML: Visually editable files, changes can be tracked via SVN a lot easier. But there is repeated content. Do either have any drawbacks (load times, access times, memory etc) compared to the other? And what is commonly used in the industry? Currently the file looks like this: .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .........GGG........ .........###........ .................... ....GGG.......GGG... ....###.......###... .................... .1................X. #################### 1 - Player start point, X - Level Exit, . - Empty space, # - Platform, G - Gem

  • Versioning millions of files with distributed SCM

    - by C. Lawrence Wenham
    I'm looking into the feasibility of using off-the-shelf distributed SCMs such as Git or Mercurial to manage millions of XML files. Each file would be a commercial transaction, such as a purchase order, that would be updated perhaps 10 times during the lifecycle of the transaction until it is "done" and changes no more. And by "manage", I mean that the SCM would be used to not just version the files, but also to replicate them to other machines for redundancy and transfer of IP. Lets suppose, for the sake of example, that a goal is to provide good performance if it was handling the volume of orders that Amazon.com claimed to have at its peak in December 2010: about 150,000 orders per minute. We're expecting the system to be distributed over many servers in order to get reasonable performance. We're also planning to use solid-state drives exclusively. There is a reason why we don't want to use an RDBMS for primary storage, but it's a bit beyond the scope of this question. Does anyone have first-hand experience with the performance of distributed SCMs under such a load, and what strategies were used? Open-source preferred, since the final product is to be FOSS, too.

  • Setup for mounting kerberized nfs home directory - gssd not finding valid kerberos ticket

    - by janm
    Our home directories are exported via kerberized nfs, so the user needs a valid kerberos ticket to be able to mount its home. This setup works fine with our existing clients & server. Now we want to add some 11.10 client and thus set up ldap & kerberos together with pam_mount. The ldap authentication works and users can login via ssh, however their homes can not be mounted. When pam_mount is configured to mount as root, gssd does not find a valid kerberos ticket and the mount fails. • Accessing a Web Service: Learning Resource needed

    - by abel
    I have been searching for resources to learn (Java) Web Services. Although I have found a lot of resources and tutorials on JWS, I am confused with the version numbers, the abbreviations and Metro. Plus the last update to Metro was in 2008. Is it a worthwile thing to learn? I wanted to learn how to access Web Services, since an upcoming project is about accessing one. I have some experience with OAuth on Twitter(using code available). Things I know about the project: I have to access a Web Service. Java is the preferred platform to use(Although I know I can use any). Axis can be used to access the Web Service(I have never used Axis) I have a meeting scheduled to learn more, but I sure don't want to look silly since I am no Java expert, have never created or accessed Web Services using Java. My Questions: 1.Can someone point me to a tutorial which will help me learn how to access a already running Web Service (Preferably SOAP(?), not REST. It's XML based) 2. Will you recommend using PHP or Python to do the work of accessing the web service? I am expecting a lot of nay saying, but I hope I get some answers too. I will clarify things if needed.

  • Getting the relational table data into XML recursively

    - by Tom
    I have levels of tables (Level1, Level2, Level3, ...) For simplicity, we'll say I have 3 levels. The rows in the higher level tables are parents of lower level table rows. The relationship does not skip levels however. E.g. Row1Level1 is parent of Row3Level2, Row2Level2 is parent of Row4Level3. Level(n-1)'s parent is always be in Level(n). Given these tables with data, I need to come up with a recursive function that generates an XML file to represent the relationship and the data. E.g. <data> <level levelid = 1 rowid=1> <level levelid = 2 rowid=3 /> </level> <level levelid = 2 rowid=2> <level levelid = 3 rowid=4 /> </level> </data> I would like help with coming up with a pseudo-code for this setup. This is what I have so far: XElement GetXMLData(Table table, string identifier, XElement data) { XElement xmlData = data; if (table != null) { foreach (row in the table) { // Get subordinate table Table subordinateTable = GetSubordinateTable(table); // Get the XML Data for the children of current row xmlData += GetXMLData(subordinateTable, row.Identifier, xmlData); } } return xmlData; }

  • Why doesn't libxml2 support XPath 2.0?

    - by Peter Krauss
    Libxml2 is the faster, stable and most popular "open DOM engine"... And the "XML C parser and toolkit of Gnome". The initial release of Libxml2 was September 1999, 13 years ago. XPath v1.0 was also released at 1999. XPath v2.0 became a recommendation on January 2007, 6 years ago. We can suppose that the Libxml2 community have time and people to develop a XPath2... So, what is the problem? Why doesn't libxml2 (or a "libxml2 fork" or an "experimental lib"!) support XPath 2.0? Some raised hypotheses to discussion at answers, Because Libxml2 community (and Gnome community) dislikes and have no motivation to develop something to XPath2 or xQuery. 1.1. XPath2 needs (by mathematical proof) a very heavy parser, much slower, etc. that is not suitable to real-world Libxml2 applications. 1.2. Other "ideologic" dislikes/motivations. Because it is written with C, and for XPath2 is better to develop with C++. Because the above hypothesis of "Libxml2 community have time and people" is false. Because XPath2 became stable in 2010 with its "Second Edition" release, and ~2.5 years is not (?) enough time.

  • Nginx rewrite with Simple Machines Forum

    - by Kevin Worthington
    I am running Nginx 1.5.6 and I use the Simple Machines Forum software. Most rewrite rules seem to work properly, with the exception of the RSS feeds. In my Nginx configuration, I have the following line which is supposed to handle URLs which contain ".xml": rewrite ^/forum/(\.xml|xmlhttp)/?$ "/forum/index.php?pretty;action=$1" last; The above rule produces the following URL for the main forum, which returns a 403 Error: http://www.mydomain.com/forum/.xml/?type=rss I would like the rewrite rule to produce this type of URL, which returns code 200 (a real page): http://www.mydomain.com/forum/?type=rss;action=.xml Here is the entire block pertaining to the forum rewrites: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=tZkAibW3 I would really appreciate some help to create a rewrite rule to do that. Thanks.

  • Using SQL tables for storing user created level stats. Is there a better way?

    - by Ivan
    I am developing a racing game in which players can create their own tracks and upload them to a server. Players will be able to compare their best track times to their friends and see world records. I was going to generate a table for each track submitted to store the best times of each player who plays the track. However, I can't predict how many will be uploaded and I imagine too many tables might cause problems, or is this a valid method? I considered saving each player's best times in a string in a single table field like so: level1:00.45;level2:00.43;level3:00.12 If I did this I wouldn't need a separate table for each level (each level could just have a row in a 'WorldRecords' table). However, this just causes another problem because the text would eventually reach the limit for varchar length. I also considered storing the times data in XML files. This would avoid database issues and server disk space can be increased if needed. But I imagine this would be very slow. To update one players best time on one level, I would have to check every node in the file to find their time record to update. Apologies for the wall of text. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Help with converting an XML into a 2D level (Actionscript 3.0)

    - by inzombiak
    I'm making a little platformer and wanted to use Ogmo to create my level. I've gotten everything to work except the level that my code generates is not the same as what I see in Ogmo. I've checked the array and it fits with the level in Ogmo, but when I loop through it with my code I get the wrong thing. I've included my code for creating the level as well as an image of what I get and what I'm supposed to get. EDIT: I tried to add it, but I couldn't get it to display properly Also, if any of you know of better level editors please let me know. xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, LoadXML); xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest("Level1.oel")); function LoadXML(e:Event):void { levelXML = new XML(e.target.data); xmlFilter = levelXML.* for each (var levelTest:XML in levelXML.*) { crack = levelTest; } levelArray = crack.split(''); trace(levelArray); count = 0; for(i = 0; i <= 23; i++) { for(j = 0; j <= 35; j++) { if(levelArray[i*36+j] == 1) { block = new Platform; s.addChild(block); block.x = j*20; block.y = i*20; count++; trace(i); trace(block.x); trace(j); trace(block.y); } } } trace(count);
