• OCS 2007: Issues with /LiveServer/MCUFactory

  I'm not really an Office Communications Server expert, but just trying to resolve some seemingly minor issues with a new install... The following error is occurring in the OCS event log, and when I try to visit https://servername:444/LiveServer/MCUFactory in Internet Explorer to test the address, I just get a "page cannot be displayed" error. I can telnet to port 444 on the server and verify that the port is open and listening. Any ideas? • export to csv using fastercsv and CSV::Writer (Ruby on Rails)

  What am I trying to do: export data to csv. I have a form which allows user to select the format (from a drop down menu). So based on the selection of the format the ouput is displayed using a ajax call. Works fine for html but when I select the format as csv I don't see any pop up on the screen (asking to save or open the file) and neither any file gets downloaded directly. I tried using Fastercsv (but the problem is that I don't see any pop up asking me whether I want to save or open the file) and CSV::Writer where I get this error message on the console. NoMethodError (You have a nil object when you didn't expect it! • Ipsec reload fails to load ipsec.conf Strongswan 5.0

  I am having trouble configuring a connection to an Android device using a fedora 17 linux machine and strongSwanv5.0.1dr2. I have made some progress but when I try adding the configuration to support xauth authentication I receive an error when I try to reload the configuration file. I get a similar error for the value ikev1 for the keyexchange setting , and whenever i try to set a value for rightauth. Has anyone else had this problem The man page for ipsec.conf and the documentation on the strongswan wiki both indicated that these settings and values should be fine in 5.0.x.x. I could try setting authby but that is deprecated according to the documentation i read and the xauthpsk value isn't working.   Hi, I am downloading a PLIST file from my server using NSURLDownload. Once it is downloaded, I read the file using NSDictionary's dictionaryWithContentsOfFile: method. I need to read a BOOL value, so this is my code: if ([dict objectForKey:string] == [NSNumber numberWithBool:YES]) This however always returns NO, no matter what the value is. The same happens if I replace the == with isEqual:. Am I doing this wrong?

  I needed my script to email admin if there is a problem, and the company only uses Gmail. Following a few posts instructions I was able to set up mailx using a .mailrc file. there was first the error of nss-config-dir I solved that by copying some .db files from a firefox directory. to ./certs and aiming to it in mailrc. A mail was sent. However, the error above came up. By some miracle, there was a Google certificate in the .db. It showed up with this command: ~]$ certutil -L -d certs Certificate Nickname Trust Attributes SSL,S/MIME,JAR/XPI GeoTrust SSL CA ,, VeriSign Class 3 Secure Server CA - G3 ,, Microsoft Internet Authority ,, VeriSign Class 3 Extended Validation SSL CA ,, Akamai Subordinate CA 3 ,, MSIT Machine Auth CA 2 ,, Google Internet Authority ,, Most likely, it can be ignored, because the mail worked anyway. Finally, after pulling some hair and many googles, I found out how to rid myself of the annoyance. First, export the existing certificate to a ASSCII file: ~]$ certutil -L -n 'Google Internet Authority' -d certs -a > google.cert.asc Now re-import that file, and mark it as a trusted for SSL certificates, ala: ~]$ certutil -A -t "C,," -n 'Google Internet Authority' -d certs -i google.cert.asc After this, listing shows it trusted: ~]$ certutil -L -d certs Certificate Nickname Trust Attributes SSL,S/MIME,JAR/XPI ... Also, I am curious about somethings. How could I get this certificate, if it were not in the mozilla database by chance? • Best choice for a personal "online backup" in Europe

  I'm looking for an online backup solution for personal use - besides all the usual requirements (like not too expensive, since it's for personal use), I'd like to add two requirements to it: data center should be in Europe (I don't want my personal data stored in the US, when the next crazed president comes along and wants to confiscate and rifle through everybody's files.....) the online backup store should be accessible through a drive letter in cmd.exe So far, I've looked at a few services, but none have totally convinced me: Dropbox is looking ok, but they insist on creating a silly "My Dropbox" directory in my data path - and there's no way I can choose that name. Sorry - "My everything" is for dummies - I don't like that, I like to name my files and folders according to my liking LiveDrive is OK, too - they offer European storage, drive letter and all - but those drive letters are only available in the Windows Explorer - and not on the cmd.exe command line :-( and since I do 99% of my work on the command line, this is a major drawback..... Any other services I haven't looked at worth checking out? Marc

• Has anyone else had problems with the miserable kb980408 update?

  I wasn't experienced any problems before installing kb980408 for Windows 7 x86. The update made it impossible for me to log into my computer after displaying a "Setting up personalized settings for Windows Desktop Update" message, after killing that task a "Windows Explorer is not responding - Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" message appears, then it waits forever... If I killed that task, I was not able to continue the boot process, if I ran explore.exe manually, the same thing happens. The solution, by the way, was to boot into safe mode and use the add/remove program in the control panel to uninstall this wretched piece of code. Start-up repair and/or the use of system restore will not help you, you need to uninstall.

  I wrote an app and I want to sell it online, so I uploaded it to my website and tried to download and run it as a test, but a window appeared, it said : "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software ?", and it also said : "Publisher : Unknown Publisher". It's actually a self-signed Java jar file wrapped into an exe file, I self-signed it with Netbeans6.7. I wonder what should I do to be a "known" publisher ? Frank

  Hello all, I recently setup a server using the latest version of XAMPP for Windows. With it came PHP 5.3. I'm now looking for a memcache.dll file that works with PHP 5.3 I've used some of the previous .dll files and recieved an error message: "PHP Startup: memcache: Unable t initialize module. Module compiled with module API=20060613 PHP compiled with module api=20090626 These options need to match" Any links to a PHP 5.3 memcache.dll file would be greatly appreciated. • Cannot get UISearchBar Scope Bar to appear in Toolbar on iPad

  This is really causing me fits. I put a toolbar on the IUView on the iPad. I added the following: Search Bar (not Search Bar and Search Display) to the toolbar. I set the options to be as follows: Show Cancel Button, Show Scope Bar, Scope Button Titles are: "Title1" and "Title2" (with Title2's radio button selected). Opaque, Clear Context and Auto Resize are checked. I hooked up the delegate of Search Bar to the "File's Owner" and linked it to IBOutlet theSearchBar. My issue: I have yet to implement the delegates necessary to do the search but still... shouldn't I be seeing the scopeBar next to the search field when I click into the search field? Just so you know I DO see the log of the characters I type, so the delegate is working. (not that i expect anything other than "No Results Found". I am wondering where the scope bar is supposed to appear...in the titleView of the UIPopover? In the toolbar to the right of the search area? Where?

• Setting up quotas on 64-bit RHEL6 OS with ext4 filesystem

  Setting up a new 64 bit RHEL 6 server with ext4 FS. Have only worked with ext3 and 32bit RHEL5 before. No matter what I try, I cannot get it to work. Current settings for mount (from "mount" command): /dev/sda7 on / type ext4 (rw,noatime) proc on /proc type proc (rw) sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw) devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620) tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid) /dev/sdb1 on /backup type ext4 (rw) /dev/sda1 on /boot type ext4 (rw,noatime) /dev/sda8 on /home type ext4 (rw,noatime,usrjquota=aquota.user,grpjquota=aquota.group,jqfmt=vfsv0) /dev/sda2 on /tmp type ext4 (rw,noexec,noatime) /dev/sda6 on /usr type ext4 (rw,noatime) /dev/sda5 on /var type ext4 (rw,noatime,usrjquota=aquota.user,jqfmt=vfsv0) none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw) Essentially trying to get user/group quotas on /home, and user quotas on /var.   I just upgraded Ubuntu from 11.10 to 12.04. My rails app now returns the (passenger) error "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111) (Mysql2::Error)". I get a similar error when I try to access mysql at the command line on my Ubuntu server using mysql -u root -p. I have mysql-server 5.5 installed. I've checked and mysql is not running. When I try to restart it, it fails. Dean Richardson Update: Thanks to quanta's suggestion, I looked at the /var/log/mysql/error.log file. I found error messages relating to pointers, fatal signals, and more stuff that I really couldn't make much sense of. I also found mysql man page references, however. One suggested that I try starting mysqld with the --innodb_force_recovery=# option, then attempt to dump (or drop) the offending/corrupted database or table. I worked through the escalating option levels one-by-one (innodb_force_recovery=1, innodb_force_recovery=2, etc.) This allowed me to successfully run mysql -u root -p from the command line and execute several commands. I was able to run queries on my production database, but any attempt to query, dump, or even drop my development database raised an error and led to me losing the connection to mysql. So I've made progress, but until I'm somehow able to drop or repair my development db I'm still unable to get my app to load. Any further advice or suggestions? Thanks! • How to mount a LOFS in Solaris that doesn’t cross mountpoints

  I need to access my "root" ZFS dataset to delete a file under "/var". But "/var" is overlayed by another ZFS dataset. Since these are system datasets I can't "umount" them while the machine is running. And I want to avoid to reboot the system in "failsafe" mode, since this is a production machine. Teorically ZFS would refuse to mount "/var" dataset over the underlying "/var", because it is not empty. But it works, possibly because they are system datasets mounted early in the boot process. But having the underlying "/var" not empty is preventing me to create an ABE (Alternate Boot Environment), so patching is risky, and I can't upgrade my system using Live Upgrade. The machine is remote. I have an IP KVM, but I rather prefer to avoid booting this machine in "failsafe" mode, if I can. I know there is a file in "/var/" because I can snapshot the "root" dataset and check it. But snapshots are read-only, so I can't get rid of the file. I tried "mkdir /tmp/zzz; mount -F lofs / /tmp/zzz", but when I go to "/tmp/zzz/var", I see the "/var" dataset, not the underlying "root" dataset. That is, the LOFS is crossing mountpoints. I would usually like it, but not this time!. Any suggestion, beside rebooting the machine in "failsafe" and mess with it thru the IP KVM?

  I have a list of key/value pairs I'd like to store in and retrieve from a XML file. So this task is similar as described here. I am trying to follow the advice in the marked answer (using a KeyValuePair and a XmlSerializer) but I don't get it working. What I have so far is a "Settings" class ... public class Settings { public int simpleValue; public List<KeyValuePair<string, int>> list; } ... an instance of this class ... Settings aSettings = new Settings(); aSettings.simpleValue = 2; aSettings.list = new List<KeyValuePair<string, int>>(); aSettings.list.Add(new KeyValuePair<string, int>("m1", 1)); aSettings.list.Add(new KeyValuePair<string, int>("m2", 2)); ... and the following code to write that instance to a XML file: XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Settings)); TextWriter writer = new StreamWriter("c:\\testfile.xml"); serializer.Serialize(writer, aSettings); writer.Close(); The resulting file is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <Settings xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <simpleValue>2</simpleValue> <list> <KeyValuePairOfStringInt32 /> <KeyValuePairOfStringInt32 /> </list> </Settings> So neither key nor value of the pairs in my list are stored though the number of elements is correct. How can I change the default generated name "KeyValuePairOfStringInt32" of the elements in the list to some other name like "listElement" I'd like to have?

  What is a "line" object in Inkscape? Drawing lines in Inkscape is by using the tool "Draw Bezier curves and straight lines (Shift+F6)". This creates objects of another type, "path". Using Inkscape: is there a way to convert an object of type "line" into an object of the more general type "path"? I have imported a drawing (mostly lines, rectangles and text) that has been through Adobe Illustrator: originally made in Inkscape, imported into Illustrator, edited, saved from Illustrator as SVG, imported into Inkscape. Sample from the imported SVG file: <path id="path5855" stroke="#000000" d=" M320.198,275.935" /> <line fill="none" stroke="#000000" x1="348.553" y1="45.097" x2="348.553" y2="185.346" id="line3368" /> Update 1: I have inspected the original XML (SVG) file from 2006 and it does not contain any "line" XML tags. Thus it must be a crime of Adobe Illustrator. When a line is selected in this imported SVG file the bottom panel displays: "Line in root. Click selection to toggle scale/rotation handles.". When a line is selected that was drawn in Inkscape the bottom panel displays: "Path (2 nodes) in Layer 1. Click selection to toggle scale/rotation handles." What is the difference between "line" and "path"? Is "line" some kind of read-only/non-editable object? I have modified the [ui] section of Mercurial.ini (in my home path) to include: ignore = c:\users\user\.hgignore Where user is my username literal. The .hgignore file includes filters that that ignore the filenames correctly at commit time. But how can I alter it from being the a literal user to an environment variable $user?
