  • Flickering Task Bar on Full Screen Windows Mobile 6 Apps

    Just finishing off an update to an application written in VB.NET that used to run fine under CE.NET 4.2. Deployment platform is now Windows Mobile 6.1. The application runs in full screen, however whenever a new form is opened, the task bar, i.e. the bar with the start button comes to the fore and then the new form takes over. This is particularly annoying as I have a form that has many sub forms which are 128,128 and still the task bar flashes and obscures part of the user input screen. Has anyone comes across this? Any known workarounds?

    I have a exe was complied by VC6 and the file name is patch.exe, there is no manifest was added, in that case, the EXE file requires administrator privileges, even though I removed all codes, just keep a empty main(), the result is same. But if I change the EXE from patch.exe to a.exe, the issue is gone. Below is my test result. 1. EXE was complied by VC6 2. Without manifest or didn't specific privileges in manifest 3. the exe name included "patch" substring, case-insensitive Is it a Microsoft issue? Why? Tried VC2008, I can't repeat it.

    I have a div which, when my page is first loaded, is about 100px from the top (it holds some buttons etc. for the page). When a user scrolls past it, I would like the div to "follow" the user in that it attaches to the top of the screen. When the user returns to the top of the page, I want it back in its original position.     What design pattern might apply to logging? What is normally used in this type of situation? Any good tutorials? I am writing a client-server application using C89 and gcc 4.4.4. I now need to implement some logging feature that will display log messages on the screen as well as log to a file. However, I don't want to display all log messages (warning, error, critical, unrecoverable, debug, etc). Maybe I can set so that it will display just errors and nothing else. For example, the user might not be interested in the debug messages on the screen output.

  • how to update off screen pivot item

    I want to have a pivot with many PivotItems. However, doing so will impact memory. So I bind pivot to my ViewModel, which has 3 item, and pivot will generate 3 PivotItems. My ViewModel is of type ObservableCollection and my item does implement INotifyPropertyChanged. This works fine. But when I update my ViewModel, only the current PivotItem, and the right PivotItem is updated. The left PivotItem, which is off screen, is not updated. You can see it when you drag pivot to the left. How to fix this? Or WP7 doesnot update off screen PivotItem ?

    I have a Cocoa app in which one of my NSOpenGLViews can go into full screen mode (I do this with the method enterFullScreenMode:withOptions:). I would like to create a little widget that when you mouse over it, a toolbar pops up with some different controls. I am wondering what would be the best way to implement this widget? At first I thought about using a panel but I don't think you can bring up any windows when in full screen mode. Also, it seems that you can't add a subview to an NSOpenGLView? Are these two assumptions correct? What else could I use to accomplish this?

    Hi guys, I am having a javascript written like this. imageDiv.onclick = function(){xyz.deleteImage(param1, param2);return false;}; Now things are fine in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. But I have a strange issue in Internet Explorer. What happens is, when I click on the imageDiv in my page, the deleteImage() method is getting invoked twice. One being the actual deleteimage() method thats given here and another is the deleteimage() method that I have in the page. How to resolve this issue. Please help.

  • Firefox back issue

    Hello, I am using a menu that switches from standard state to select state for an item by reading the current url var where = document.location.href; My issue is that when using Firefox, if I switch to some items from the menu (for instance, I click home, donwload, contact) and press the back button the url is not read correctly so 2 items remain on the selected state. This only happens in Firefox (I've tested already in Explorer, Chrome and Opera) So what I'm trying to ask: is there a way to handle the so called back button action in/for Firefox so I can fix my menu issue ?

  • Windows 7 application issue - only appears in taskbar

    I have an issue where a program that runs fine under windows xp has stopped working with windows 7. The application appears to start fine then disappears with only the taskbar icon remaining. If you hover over the taskbar icon you can see the application and it kind of looks correct but selecting it does nothing. I cannot seem to get the application to actually appear. Has anyone experienced anything like this and is aware of any possible solutions? Recent builds have worked with windows 7 in the past and I don't believe any significant changes were made before this issue arrived. Thanks

    Every night when I leave work, I lock the screen via ubuntu's "power" button in the top right hand panel. When I come to work in the morning, I'm greeted with the log-in screen.   • Redmine on Apache2 with Passenger issue

    I installed Redmine and run it in Apache2 with the Passenger module. Apache2 boots, Passenger module gets loaded and the Redmine welcome page is shown, however when trying to login or navigate to other parts of the Redmine site, the browser keeps loading and loading and loading forever, although the Redmine production.log indicates redirects and HTTP 200 codes in the header, so everything seems to work correctly according to the log. I tested in various browsers. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I will add apache configuration and some relevant log snippets from both apache and redmine hereafter.     We have two Server 2008 R2 servers running DFS-R (named dfs01 and dfs02) in a 2008 R2 Domain. Today I found the files in server dfs01 can not be replicated to dfs02. So I used the command dfsrdiag backlog /rgname:<group> /rfname:<folder> /sendingmember:dfs01/receivingmember:dfs02 to check the backlog. After executing the command, I get the following error: Failed to execute GetVersionVector Method. Err: -2147217406 <0x80041002 operation Failed. How can I resolve this?

  • Kodak Scanner Software Issue 0xc0000005

    I am trying to be able to use a program called Kodak Smart Touch, but just today I have experienced an error preventing it from opening. The scanner is a business class scanner, an i2900. It comes with a small program called Kodak Smart Touch. This program allows you to select and customize a number of presets on the front panel and automatically create/save scanned files, etc. I was running a backup with Aomei Backupper at the time, and I wanted to scan a file. I tried to scan as normal, but right at the end the program quit with an error. Now, whenever I try to start Smart Touch, even not running the backup and with Aomei uninstalled, the following error pops up: Title of message: KSSCFG (version 1.7.15.121102) has stopped working. Body: See (path name) for more information. When I go to the path in the error message, there are two files, ERRORLOG.txt and KSSCFG.dmp. The error log says, "KSSCFG (version 1.7.15.322.121102) case an Access Violation(0xc0000005). Error occur at 2014/06/11 21:37:54 Operation System: Windows 7 64bits (6.1.7601) processor(s) type AMD x86 or x64" The dump file can be downloaded here: http://l.bitcasa.com/yzbtv1VV Opening it with a hex editor yields very little of use, but I do have an internal commandline utility that may help: http://l.bitcasa.com/cTXvAsst I've already uninstalled and reinstalled all the kodak software several times to no avail.     I am trying to add a new member to our DFS topology. We have 3 DCs (VMs - VMware) running Windows server 2012, two servers are located in or Primary site and the third at our DR site. Currently the two servers at our primary site are currently replicating DFS (full mesh) and are working fine. I have tried several times to add the third DC to our DFS topology, every time i configure the replication path e.g E:\MSI and click ok the MMC snap in crashes.   • Weird vps server issue

    I have an unmanaged linux vps Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). I have LNMP installed. Also php-fpm php-apc, varnish, memcache. I have (or rather had) several live sites on it. under normal load the server uses ~700 mb memory. But since last night its using only 20mb~ memory and a lot of the services seems to be down (according to htop) I only see nginx working and mysql starts up and goes does every few minutes on a loop.   • Juniper EX3300 routing issue

    The routing on my Juniper EX3300 does not seem to be working. My ISP's gateway is at xx.xx.xx.xx. And I have the following in the configuration: routing-options { static { route 0.0.0.0/0 { next-hop xx.xx.xx.xx; retain; } } } I can ping to my ISP's gateway from the switch. However, I can NOT ping to any other IP. When I do a traceroute (to Google.com's IP). This is what I get: traceroute to 74.125.224.69 (74.125.224.69), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets traceroute: sendto: No route to host 1 traceroute: wrote 74.125.224.69 40 chars, ret=-1 *traceroute: sendto: No route to host Do I need to enable any protocols? I guess this goes without saying, but I am kind of new to Junos.   • iptables issue on plesk

    i don't know how to open a specific port (rtmp=1935) on my CentOS server using Plesk or itables. I created new rules for port 1935 i/o using Plesk/Modules/Firewall but this doesn't work. Nmap scanning tells me this : 1935/tcp filtered rtmp . I can connect to this port with SSH (typing "wget myServerIP:1935") but maybe this is because it is an SSH tunelling ? I don't know how to do.
