  • Oracle 10g express home page is not coming up

    Hello All: My Oracle 10g Express Edition , I can login in the SQL plus but I cannot login into oracle via SQL developer and cannot view the Home page at link http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex. This was working fine until yesterday. I have checked via (WINDOWS)netstat -ab and no other app is using the 8080 port. The only thing I did today was I changed my SQL server 2005 Developer edition from Windows authentication to Mixed Mode authentication. Can anyone let me know how to get the Oracle Web page and the SQL Developer to work. I will gratly appreciate that. Thanks! Adnan A.

  • Session variable getting lost using Firefox, works in IE

    I am setting a Session variable in an HttpHandler, and then getting its value in the Page_load event of an ASPX page. I'm setting it using public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { HttpPostedFile file = context.Request.Files["Filedata"]; context.Session["WorkingImage"] = file.FileName; } (And before someone suggests that I check the validity of file.FileName, this same problem occurs if I hard-code a test string in there.) It's working just fine in IE, but in Firefox the Session Variable is not found, getting the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error in the following code: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { string loc = Session["WorkingImage"].ToString(); } Has anyone encountered this problem - and hopefully come up with a means for passing the session variable?

    Hello Stackers Does anyone have an idea on how to include or input the page numbers in the excel sheet generated using C# code. I use the libraries available in Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel to generate the file. However by default in the output i cannot see the page numbers. I know to enable this via excel options (View -- Header and Footer ...) but i want to automate this via C#. Is this possible, if yes kindly share the snippet for the same. Thanks Constant Learner

  • Google Desktop Search problems - unable to disable indexing and no index status page

    I've been running Google Desktop (I've used both the regular and Enterprise versions) without issues on my Windows 7 64-bit PC for a long time with no issues. I just paved my PC and reinstalled Google Desktop (regular edition). Initially, I want to use it only for the CTRL-CTRL launcher capability - I don't want it to do any indexing. So I unchecked all the items in the configuration dialog as well as excluded c:. Despite this, it is indexing all the content on my hard drive as well as Outlook email, etc. In my previous installations I had the same options set and they worked properly. The other problem I have is that when you right-click on the Google Desktop system tray icon, there used to be an option for "Index Status" which showed you the percentage complete the index creation process was, as well as an option to clear and rebuild the index. Those are no longer there. I uninstalled the regular edition and installed the Enterprise Edition, but same problems. Any ideas?

    I have a custom application page integrated in Centeral Administration. My application pages are placed in a subfolder in Template\Admin folder. I placed my own web.config in my subfolder and added tagPrefixes in the control section. However when I open my application page ASP.NET throws the exception that the tag SharePoint:InputFormTextBox was not recognized. What am I doing wrong? Or it doesn't work this way? What can i do to achieve this?

  • Random blank pages on Safari when developing webapp

    Hey guys, I've been experiencing a safari problem while building a web application. The screen goes completely blank (white) and refreshing won't help. Going to another page on the site gives the same problem. Then magically, after a little while, everything goes back to normal and pages are rendered correctly! This started happening around the same time that I SUSPECT my hosting automatically upgraded from PHP 5.2.x to 5.3 (all of a sudden, we got 'deprecated function' errors and the error settings and handling were unchanged) I also have to mention that this doesn't happen in our dev environment (PHP 5.2.9, Apache 2) Settings Safari 4.0.2 and the latest one (don't know the version) Server side: PHP 5.3, MySQL 5.0.90, Apache is cPanel Easy Apache v3.2.0 Does anyone know why this is happening at all, or how to fix it? I appreciate any help or pointers you might have. Thanks!

    Hi, In ASP.NET -- I want to popup an alert window in the case of an event. I don't have a button, i do not load the page at that event. When I searched i got a lot of java script examples but I can't use them as they work either on a button click or on page load. I just want a pop window to come as soon as I capture a particular event. I keep checking for the events every 5 second, as soon as i capture one event, there is a switch case for the actions to follow according to the event captured. For one particular case, i need one pop up "Sorry" along with an OK button. Can someone tell me what to do. Thanks

    Hello: I am hosting a website with GoDaddy's "Deluxe Linux" package. Of late, I noticed my website is loading nearly 10x slower. As I begin to debug, I noticed the following redirect occurring however nothing in my script would be causing it. It hits the URL, www.domain.com, then a 302 fires to www.domain.com/39dnda, then another 302 back to www.doamin.com ??? The first 302 is random each time...   • jQuery - How to remove a DOM element BEFORE complete page load

    Now this may seem like a silly question, but I need to know how to remove a DOM element BEFORE it is displayed to the user. In short, I am using a div that has a background image alerting the user to enable javascript before proceeding. If the user has javascript enabled I am using jQuery to remove the DOM element, in this case $(".check-js") which is the div housing the image. Using the conventional methods to unload DOM objects as follows does not work because it waits for the page load to complete, then removes the element, causing the image to flicker on and off each time the page loads: $(function(){ $(".check-js").css( {display:"none"} ) }) I simply want to remove the div if the user has js enabled, and he must never see this div. Any suggestions and I will be grateful, thanks.

  • PHP page load seems to be requesting itself and misinterpreting the result

    I'm working on a messy PHP page by another developer and I was analyzing the resource view in the Webkit developer tools and noticed that the page (index.php) makes an HTTP requests for itself and then interprets the results as an image despite it being sent with the text/html header. Because of this it throws the warning: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html. Looking at the time graph the call comes after the <head> because it has already requested images for the body. Sometimes there are even two 'bad' requests. Can anyone explain what might be happening and/or suggest how to fix this? Could these be related to PHP includes?

If I wrap the xtabular environment in a landscape environment, then the bottom of my table gets chopped off. Does anyone have any better suggestions?   • Add Today's Date to SharePoint Master Page

    Surely there must be a simple way of putting a simple code block into a master page :( I've tried using the obvious <%= "Hello, World!" %> syntax but code blocks aren't allowed. Then tried a site column, but don't know how to use them. Then tried web zones but master pages can't use them. Tried putting a web part (which are super difficult to make and deploy btw) into the page layout, but it just doesn't render :/ All I want is something nice and simple at the top of my site which shows today's date and the format I want to use is DateTime.Today.ToString("ddd, d MMMM yyyy") (Otherwise I'm resorting to javascript document.write!)     I have a webserver running Server 2003 Datacenter and IIS 5 which is hosting a variety of ASP.NET 2.0 websites. I'm attempting to add an ASP.NET 4.0 website which I wrote via the VS2010 Beta, and I have .NET 4.0 Beta 1 installed on the server. The website appears to be configured correctly; anonymous access is on, it points to the right folder, and is set to asp.net 4.0. Why might it be giving me a 404 error when I browse to it, both locally and remotely?
