  • SetPassword is very slow

    - by bja
Hi We are experiencing a performance problem when communicating with the active directory using System.DirectoryServices. DirectoryEntry.Invoke("SetPassword", new object[] { password }) sometimes takes 15 seconds. The Service that makes the call is running on the same machine. What could make it that slow? Cheers, bja

  • wcf and windows authentication

    - by darko petreski
I like to use wcf (windows communication foundation) with windows authentication. Do I need Active directory for this purpose? How the server knows about the identity of the client? If someone can found out the pass of the client that is using the wcf services, can he create the same user name on different computer and use the password to access the wcf services ? Regards, Darko Petreski

  • PHP - Read number of dirs and then require for each a specified file name

    - by Max
Hello, I want to make a little script but I'm rather n00b in php so please help me if you can :) What I want the script to do is: I have "index.php". I want "index.php" to read the sub-directories from a known folder, let's say "templates/" Each sub-directory will contain a file called "content.html". The index will then load the "content.html" with the require() function for each of the existing sub-directories. Thank you very much for your help!

  • Using Java for 'nslookup -type=srv'

    - by user321524
Hi: Is there a way in Java to do a Nslookup search on SRV records? I need to bind to Active Directory and would like to use the SRV records to help determine which of the ADs in the cluster are live. In command line the nslookup search string is: 'nslookup -type=srv _ ldap._tcp.ActiveDirectory domain name' Thanks.

  • iPhone dev: load a file from resource folder

    - by thomax
I'm writing an iPhone app with a UIWebView which should display various html files I have in the app resource folder. In xcode my project overview, these html files are displayed like this: dirA |---> index.html |---> a1.html |---> a2.html |---> my.css |---> dirB |---> b1.html |---> b2.html |---> dirC |---> c1.html |---> c2.html These resources where added to the project as such: - Checked "Copy items into destination groups folder (if needed)". - Reference type: Default. - Text encoding: Unicode (utf-8). - Recursively create groups for any added folders. The links in my html are relative, meaning they look like this: <a href="a1.html">a2</a> <a href="a2.html">a2</a> <a href="dirB/b2.html">b2</a> <a href="dirC/c1.html">b2</a> In order to display the index.html when the app starts up, I use the following code: NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"index" ofType:@"html"]; NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; [webView loadRequest:request]; This works fine. Following links from the index file also works fine, as long as the html files requested are directly under dirA. If the link followed points to a file in a sub-directory, then didFailLoadWithError will catch the situation and report that the requested file does not exist. Note that [webView loadHtmlString:myHtml]; cannot be part of the solution, as I need back and forward buttons to work in my web view. So the question is: How can I follow a relative link to an html file in a sub directory within my resources? I've been all over stackoverflow and the rest of the tubes for the past few days trying to figure this one out, but nowhere have I come across the solution to this exact problem. Any insight at all would be very, very much appreciated!

  • How to make SVN ADD ignore binaries

    - by fuenfundachtzig
Binaries (under Linux) don't have an extension so I cannot exclude them using patterns. Thus when I use SVN add to add a directory I will get something like $ svn add recursion_vector/ A recursion_vector A recursion_vector/rec_vec.cxx A recursion_vector/rec_vec.h A (bin) recursion_vector/rec_vec Here rec_vec is the executable I would like to exclude. SVN obviously recognizes it as binary. Now can I tell Subversion to ignore all binary files?

  • Codeigniter directory_map()

    - by aeran
Hi all, I'm trying to use the directory_map('source directory',false) function to scan through user uploaded folders/files. It works and spit out the result in a multilevel array format. I wouldn't know how deep is the multi level array would be. How do I iterate the array and display it in a readable format (e.g. in tags)?

  • Rails: vendor/gems or vendor/plugins?

    - by TheDeeno
I'm attempting to track my dependencies with git-submodules in my rails app. So far I've added submodules for things like, haml, shoulda, authlogic, etc to 'vendor/plugins'. I've seen indications that I should be using 'vendor/gems' instead though. Question, which directory is the appropriate place to put dependencies being tracked as submodules? Is the choice arbitrary? Thanks

  • Multi valued profile property mapping to AD in Sharepoint

    - by keeno
I'm trying to map my skills and responsibilities profile sections to one of the custom properties in Active Directory (extensionattribute1 , 2, etc). I'm entering comma seperated values in AD and it's importing the values fine but sees the comma seperated values as one value on import. i.e. 'C#,asp.net,javascript' rather than 'C#', 'asp.net', 'Javascript'. Any ideas. I'm almost there it's just not spliting the values correctly on import. thanks in Advance

  • A file's web address is different from the local file structure

    - by allanb
I'm not sure how best to describe this (as you can clearly tell from the title) so I'll give you an example: I have a multisite Drupal installation. Each of the sites' sitemap.xml files are located on the server at /sites/example.com/files though with a browser (and to search engines) it is accessible at example.com/sitemap.xml I was wondering how this was achieved? Is this called Virtual Directory? Thank you
