  • VIM: Columnvise Increment inside and outside?

    By outside, I want solutions that does not use Vim's scripting hacks but try to reuse certain basic *ix tools. Inside Vim stuff asks for solutions to get the column-increment with inside stuff such as scripting. 1 1 1 2 1 3 1 ---> 4 1 5 1 6 . . . . Vim has a script that does column-vise icrementing here. It has gathered about 50/50 ups and down, perhaps tasting a bit reinventing-the-wheel. How do you column-increment stuff in Vim without using such script? Then the other question is, how do you column-increment stuff without/outside Vim? Most elegant, reusable and preferrably-small wins the race!

    Hey guys i'm using phpmyadmin (php & mysql) and i'm having alot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine.     Concept: Lets say we have table Properties with columns id and name (lets say with some predefined values: "Good" "Better" "Best"). Another table Users has column property_id with many to one relation on Properties (property_id = id). Users has default value on property_id, lets say 1 which means "Good". We might have another table analogue to Users however with default property, lets say "Better". What I need is ability to change default value for Users or other tables in administrator's panel.   • Modify url in browser using javascript?

    Hi, Is it possible to change the url in the user's browser without actually loading a page, using javascript? I don't think it is (could lead to unwanted behavior), I'm in a situation where this would be convenient though: I have a web app which displays reports generated by users. Layout roughly looks like: ----------------------------------------------------------- Column 1 | Column 2 ----------------------------------------------------------- Report A | Report B | Currently selected report contents here. Report C | right now the user would be looking at a url like: www.mysite.com/user123 To see the above page. When the user clicks the report names in column 1, I load the contents of that report in column 2 using ajax. This is convenient for the user, but the url in their browser remains unchanged. The users want to copy the url for a report to share with friends, so I suppose I could provide a button to generate a url for them, but it would just be more convenient for them to have it already as the url in their browser, something like: www.mysite.com/user123/reportb the alternate is to not load the contents of the report in column 2 using ajax, but rather a full page refresh. This would at least have a linkable url ready for the user in their url bar, but not as convenient as using ajax. Thanks

    Hello, I have a requirement in which, i need to upload an excel file into MSSQL database. It is working well till this point. But sometimes i am getting excel file in such a way, that the first 2 rows and columns are empty rows. That is not even fixed everytime. so the format of the table after upload is not as expected. It is assigning F1, F2 as column names for the table in mssql. It varies from file to file. I want to program it in such away so that the user can enter the row number and the column number from where the actual data is starting. So that while upload it should from line 3 and column 2. I dont know how to specify that row and column while uploading. Please help me to solve the same.

    I am writing my first custom column name applier for ConfORM. How do I check if another column has already been map with same mapping name? Do you, personally: a) query like this DATE(timestamp), TIME(timestamp) , or perhaps even going as far as HOUR(timestamp), MINUTE(timestamp b) grab the timestamp column and parse it out as needed with a loop in PHP I feel like (a) is easier... but I know that I don't know anything. For instance, the global pos is exactly 600,230 but row-column pair is randomly (5,3) and (4,3). I mean, what?! Also, when i click to an item from the last to rows (later than 13, i guess) will never go into condition "if (clickedItem && clickedItem-column()1 && clickedItem-row()0)", i think it's mainly because 'clickedItem' is null. I'll be more than glad to share any more information, or even the full cpp-h-ui trio in order to get help. Thanks a lot.

    To hide a column from only the view of JTable, i am using the removeColumn() method. What is the best way to hide the column in view in JTable ? insteading of setting the sizes to 0.
