  • Double default gateway ubuntu server

    Hi, I've just installed an Ubuntu server 9.10 on an EEEBox. This is my /etc/network/interfaces # The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet static address 192.168.48.16 netmask 255.255.248.0 wireless-essid mynet auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address xx.xx.xx.xx netmask 255.255.255.224 gateway xx.xx.yy.yy When I restart /etc/init.d/networking, I can access the eth0 ip address from the internet and I can ping the machines in my wifi network mynet. Everything works fine and I have one default gateway. But after some time if I check again the route I just find two default gateways: one is correct and is the previous one, but the other is the one of the wifi network. I have a quite low signal of mynet where my server is and sometimes the wifi just disconnect and then reconnect again. Then I think that this can be a problem and the dhcp of the wifi net, when reconnecting it also add a default gateway. Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

  • How can I do Ubuntu Lucid Desktop installation with HTTP preseed?

    Installation media: ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso I tried a lot of different boot parameters, but either the installer ignored the preseed configuration, or it boot itself directly as LiveCD. An example of the boot parameters I've tried: auto url=http://mydomain.com/path/preseed.cfg boot=casper only-ubiquity initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- If I remove only-ubiquity, it boots as a LiveCD. If I remove boot=casper, it won't boot. If I add vga=normal locale=en_US console-setup/layoutcode=us console-setup/ask_detect=false interface=auto, it still can't do automatic install. If I remove auto, it's the same. What is the correct boot parameters for launching such an installation? From the apache log of the server hosting preseed.cfg, I see that the installer has no problems fetching the preseed file. My preseed file is almost identical to the one at https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/example-preseed.txt. Moreover, I have run debconf-set-selections -c preseed.cfg to ensure that the preseed file is correct.

    My domain entities each have a set of "fixed" properties and a set of "dynamic" properties which can be added at runtime. I handle this by using NHibernate's dynamic-component functionality. public class Product { public virtual Guid Id { get; } public virtual string Name { get; set;} public virtual IDictionary DynamicComponents { get; } } Now I have the following situation public class Customer { public virtual Guid Id { get; } public virtual string Type { get; set;} public virtual IDictionary DynamicProperties { get; } } Where a CustomerType is something like "Online" or "InPerson". Furthermore an Online customer has dynamic properties "Name" and "IPAddress" and an InPerson Customer has dynamic properties "Name" and "Salesman". Which customer types are available and the extra properties on them are configured in meta-data which is used to generate hbm files on application start. I could figure out some way to knock this together using an intermediate DTO layer, but is there any support in NHibernate for this scenario? The only difficulty seems to be that all the different "types" of customer map to the same Customer class.

The problem seems to be that with System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry I've found only a way to add a new entry with one object class, but not a way to add multiple object classes.   • Sharepoint 2007 - cant find my modifications to web.config in SpWebApplication.WebConfigModification

    Hi, I cant seem to find the modifications I made to web.config in my FeatureRecievers Activated event. I try to get the modifications from the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the deactivate event, but this is always empty.... And the strangest thing is that my changes are still reverted after deactivating the feature... My question is, should I not be able to view all changes made to the web.config files when accessing the SpWebApplication.WebConfigModifications collection in the Deactivating event?   • configuring two network interfaces in ubuntu 10.04.1

    I have got two NICs configured on a VM - each is tied to a specific network, one is a DMZ, the other is an internal network. I want MySQL to listen on the internal network only and Apache on the DMZ listening for HTTP and HTTPS. But as soon as I add the second interface I run into trouble. I can hit HTTP on either interface, but can not hit 3306 on the internal network for MySQL. However, when I schedule a simple job in instance1, it is getting triggered in instance2 (and vise versa). By looking at the records created in jobstore, the scheduled job are properly tagged with the expected instanceIDs. Any idea of why this is happening?

    I have a .net 2.0 windows application written in c#, which currently uses several project settings to store user configurations. The forms in the application are made up of lots of user controls, each of which have properties that need to be set to these project settings. Right now these settings are manually assigned to the user control properties. I was hoping to simplify the code by replacing the manual implementation with ApplicationSettings Property Bindings. However, my first property is not behaving properly at all. The setting is an integer, used to record a port number typed into a text box. The setting is bound to an integer property on a user control, and that property sets the Text property on a TextBox control. When I type a new value into the textbox at runtime, as soon as the textbox loses focus, it is immediately replaced by the original value. A breakpoint on the property shows that it is immediately setting the property to the setting from the properties collection after I set it. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?   • Cisco 2811 router ignored input errors

    I've got a Cisco 2811 (AdvIPServices 12.4(25e)) that is showing input errors on both its interfaces, all the errors are of the ignored type. The counter for ignore errors is not increasing continuously, which made me think it would be happening in line with traffic bursts, but there really isn't a large amount of traffic running through it at any time. Both the router interfaces are connected to a 4900 (IPBase 12.2(54)) series switch. The only things I can see are: There is a slight mismatch in duplex/speed negotiation settings, one side is set to auto/auto and one full/auto, however they have negotiated fine. There have been a few fallbacks on the interface buffers, and some trims in the public buffers. Any suggestions for things to look at? I will be correcting the duplex neg settings, and might try a buffer tune, but I don't think it will help.

I get an error "The format of a configSource file must be an element containing the name of the section" that highlights the second line (2nd example code). How must the Tag be named in order to make evertything work? Edit: Deleting the "applicationSetting"-Tags does not work either.

  • How can I anchor a textbox in wpf ?

    I have a window with tabs. On one of the tabs, I have a layout like below. (In fact it is more complicated, I have 4 text boxes in a row, and I have more rows.) How can I make the 3rd textbox have the width of the label + the width of the text box above, that is, to have them properly aligned ? The problem is that WPF widens the 3rd textbox, when I type text into it. Using hardcoded numbers for the sizes defeats the whole purpose of WPF. I could do that way 10 times faster in Windows Forms than in WPF. Object obj; PropertyDescriptorCollection A = TypeDescriptor.GetProperties(obj); PropertyInfo[] B = obj.GetType().GetProperties(); // EDIT* I'm trying to understand the difference between A and B. From what I understand TypeDescriptor.GetProperties() will return custom TypeDescriptor properties, where as Type.GetProperties() will only return intrinsic "real" properties of the object. Is this right?     I have a RHEL 5 workstation with 2 nvidia Quadro FX4500 cards, with one display attached to each card. After doing a clean install of RHEL 5.5, the second display doesnt work (it worked ok in RHEL 5.2). Neither separate X screens nor Xinerama are working. The kernel version is 2.6.18-194.el5 I've tried nvidia drivers 185.18.36 (the ones that i was using on 5.2) and the latest 260.19.36 and neither works. I just include it in the project under resources and change the name to the .ocunit file I want it to run. The problem I get is that it cant find the bundle file and therefore exists with an error. Can anyone who has a clue about XCode and objective-c take a look at it and tell me what is wrong. Also how am I supposed to produce the .ocunit file that I need to run.     I'm trying to set org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer spring bean, I have jdbc.properties in src/main/config .. when I put this file in src/main/resources and put classpath: in value my app deploys successfuly. This works when jdbc.properties is located in src/main/resources <property name="location" value="classpath:jdbc.properties" /> However I'm required to put any configuration inside src/main/config , how do I point springs towards this location in the right way?

  • ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386 does not work with HTTP preseed?

    Installation media: ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso I tried a lot of different boot parameters, but either the installer ignored the preseed configuration, or it boot itself directly as LiveCD. An example of the boot parameters I've tried: auto url=http://mydomain.com/path/preseed.cfg boot=casper only-ubiquity initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- If I remove only-ubiquity, it boots as a LiveCD. If I remove boot=casper, it won't boot. If I add vga=normal locale=en_US console-setup/layoutcode=us console-setup/ask_detect=false interface=auto, it still can't do automatic install. If I remove auto, it's the same. What is the correct boot parameters for launching such an installation? From the apache log of the server hosting preseed.cfg, I see that the installer has no problems fetching the preseed file. My preseed file is almost identical to the one at https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/example-preseed.txt. Moreover, I have run debconf-set-selections -c preseed.cfg to ensure that the preseed file is correct.

  • Conditional CSS file doesn't override regular CSS

    I am using conditional comments to link to a css file (let's call it "IEonly.css") if the IE version is less than 8. I am trying to override some properties in the regular css file. Strangely enough, IEonly.css will set new css properties correctly, but it won't override the properties in the regular CSS file! (I am trying to make this work for IE7). Help!

  • How do I make vim's autoindent not drop trailing spaces?

    In some text editors (e.g. Kate, gedit), when auto indent is enabled, pressing return twice will leave a trailing whitespace (which I want): if (code) { .... ....| } While others cater to the coding standard where trailing spaces (even in blank lines) aren't allowed: if (code) { ....| } What annoys me about this is that if I arrow up after auto-indenting, the auto-indent is lost: if (code) { | .... } If I run vim and :set autoindent , I get the latter behavior. My question is, how do I set vim to keep the trailing spaces rather than automatically removing them if they go unused?
