    I'm trying to build a simple video chat client on the mac as a little project and I want it to be able to go over my own little server and arrive at the other end (so going over the internet rather just locally).     I'm looking for resources that can teach me how to properly read a sql server execution plan. I'm a long time developer, with tons of sql server experience, but I've never really learned how to really understand what an execution plan is saying to me. I guess I'm looking for links, books, anything that can describe things like whether a clustered index scan is good or bad along with examples on how to fix issues.

  • VirtualBox OSE: Install Guest OS On Headless Host Via VNC?

    I've remotely installed VirtualBox OSE on my Gentoo box at home. I have everything set up and ready for the OS. However all the documentation I've read seems to say that you can only use the PUEL version in order to get remote access during installs - does anyone know if it's possible to do similar with the OSE but using VNC? Links to documentation or tutorials would be welcome, apparently my Google-Fu is failing me, if it's out there. Thanks.

  • Remove app in Win7 that was auto-published with Windows Xp Mode

    I have several copies/instances of my xp mode image and have a bunch of apps that were auto-published to Win7. I have since disabled the "auto-publish" apps in the instances but still have the applications listed. What is the correct/best way to clear them out. I read a post somewhere that you can just delete the shortcut in the start menu but I want to remove all links and don't know if that would suffice? Thanks TK

    How can rich text be obtained from the X clipboard? For example, if you copy some text from a web browser and paste it into kompozer, it pastes as HTML, with links etc. preserved. However, xclip -o for the same selection just outputs plain text. I'd like to pull the HTML out and into a text editor.

  • Can you specify per program how Internet Explorer handles hyperlinks?

    Is there a way to configure Internet Explorer's "Open links from other programs in:" option per program? I'm looking for a way to allow different programs to act differently when clicking hyperlinks. For example, if I click a hyperlink in Microsoft Outlook I'd prefer it to open a new tab in the current window (option 2) but if I click a link out of an instant messenger program I'd prefer it to open in the current tab or window (option 3). Version wise I'm looking for a way to do it with IE 8+.

  • I can't connect to mysql on a remote server

    I'm trying to connect from an Ubuntu server to a RHEL6 server using mysql. I've tried telneting into the server as well as trying to connect with mysql. I've tried commenting out the bind-address but didn't have any success with that either. I don't get an error code or anything with telnet. It just fails after a minute or so.   • Noscript button missing in Firefox

    Windows XP professional SP3 Firefox 13.0.1 NoScript Addon 2.4.6 I can't click Javascript links, like for opening a popup window (which I usually don't care about, but this time it was Important :-( ). I mention NoScript as I used to have a button where I could temporarily enable Javascript so the link would work, but with one of the latest updates this seems to be gone. I have "Block popup windows" unchecked and "Enable Javascript" checked in Options. How can I get the NoScript button back?

    I am using pnp4nagios along with the nagios. Everything seems to be integrated properly - I have "extra action" icons close to every host and service which links to pnp4nagios graph. However, when I am going to the https://x.x.x.x/pnp4nagios/ it always change the url to the: https://x.x.x.x/pnp4nagios/graph?host=webhost01 How Can I turn off this behaviour? I would like to see on /pnp4nagios/ collected graphs from all servers.

    I was trying to download Oracle Database (10g and 11g). On webpage of oracle there are links, however they give me 404 when I accept OTN license and try to download. I googled around and found forum with users reporting the same issue and the workaround was to change the url of download link from download.oracle.com/... to download download-uk.oracle.com/... however this does not work either, is there any mirror that is working at the moment?

  • Firefox Vimperator - how to offset link hints?

    I learned how to change the size of hints by modifying fields in the :highlight Hint CSS. I made the hint numbers a big bigger, and as a result they overlap with the hints they're hinting to. (I'd love to post a picture but apparently I'm not entitled to that luxury yet, so I hope I'm clear enough...) How can I introduce an offset or some other sort of buffer between the hints and the links themselves?
