• Getting Older PHP Extensions

  Hello All, It happens that I need the GD, SQLite and a few more extensions for php 5.1. But I can't find out where to get them. I am using WinBinder to develop some desktop applications for Windows with php. The minimal php 5.1 pack has the winbinder extension only. I need other extensions for enhanced features like image editing or data storage. Can anybody help? I really need this very much. Thanks and Regards, Masnun

  I want to do the validation on my PHP side and then have my JQuery code display your changes have been saved when the submit button is clicked but the JQuery code states that the changes have been saved even when the validation fails. How can i fix this so that PHP can do the validation and then JQuery can do its thing when PHP has finished its validation?   While working on an existing Drupal site I've noticed a strange glitch that causes any PHP operator with in it to act like a ? tag. This is happening in in Drupal pages that I create that have a 'Input Format' of 'PHP code'. For example this line of code foreach($array as $key = $value){ results in a very broken page that prints out $value){ Does any one know what could be causing this? My Dev environment is XAMPP. Drupal version is 6.15. PHP version is 5.2.9.

• PHP require/include only works once in script then fails

  Hi everybody, this isn't a problem as such but it's bugging me and I would appreciate any help. It might be totally obvious but I can't see it. $root_path = $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] require($root_path .'template/header.php') require($root_path .'template/footer.php') The script will include one or the other but not both. It will run and include the header but not the footer, if I swap them round it will load the footer first but not the header. I've tried using include instead of require but get the same result. It gives the error allow_url_include = 0. I know turning this on will solve it but my question is why is it happening? Why will it include one file but not the other? Is there any way to get them to both run without turning allow_url_include on (I'm trying to be security conscious). I have PHP 5.3 and am running WAMP. Thanks in advance for your help!

Everything else seems to be working though. include_once("jcleblanc-reddit-php-sdk-4a4cc32/reddit.php"); $reddit = new reddit("my-username", "my-password"); $userData = $reddit->getUser(); var_dump($userData); outputs null. $response = $reddit->getListing("all", 5); var_dump($response); outputs what's expected just fine. • Stop PHP from creating arrays in $_POST superglobal

  PHP will automatically convert <input type="text" name="foo[0]" value="x" /> <input type="text" name="foo[1]" value="y" /> into $_POST['foo'] = array( 0 => 'x', 1 => 'y' ); Which is what you want most of the time. However, in this case I would like this not to happen. Is there anyway to tell PHP to not do this? I realize I could parse php://input myself, but I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it. I also don't have the option of renaming the input names.

I am using this jquery rating system http://www.fyneworks.com/jquery/star-rating/ Now, I am not getting what will be the database structure and then what I need to code in PHP. I need what logic will be applied for this, like if 1000 people voted for the article, some given rating as 2 or 3 or1 or 5. The problematic part is the fact that the .jar-file doesnt finish executing because its a server-application. Thus navigating to the php-file wont help and I didnt manage to make AJAX work either. Is there a way to display the "live" output of the .jar-file on a website?

In more detail, I have a bit stream that is read as an integer by hardware, and I need to do some operations on the bits to make it into what its actually supposed to be (a float). (checker.php echo out how many points you've got in a span class vispoints1). Now isnt there a smarter method doing this, instead of sending requests like this all the time.. I mean sites like facebook and that, they dont do like this to check if you e.g got a new friend request? Hope you can help me find a better method examples would be good too.

In that module it appears that the objects for the order (email, amt, details) were available. However it seems it would be quite 'dirty' to insert more PHP code in there. Ideas?   Our website was just converted to being generated by mod_rewrite and php scripts. Images aren't caching in browsers when they seemingly should be. All images follow format: <img src="/images/header.png" /> I must avoid the script completely caching because the PHP parser needs to handle each page dynamically on each request; however, the download overhead of the large images is cumbersome on every single page load. I would ideally provide headers for "Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate" and "Expires: some_date_in_the_past" to force revalidation of the PHP script. Why isn't the browser caching static images with consistent href values across all pages?

  I'm developing a PHP application to retrieve the list of contacts from a GMail account. I'm looking for a solution which would enable the user of my application to provide the login and password to their Gmail account in my application (as opposed to getting redirected to Google) and then automatically do the retrieval. The retrieval process can be run in PHP or JavaScript (which would then feed the list of contacts back to PHP using Ajax). Is it possible to do that? Which JavaScript API should I use for that?   Hello all, I have mapped a network drive to a computer in my home network. Now I am trying to access it via PHP - I did this quick test: echo opendir('Z:\\'); This gives me: Warning: opendir(Z:\) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No error in C:\wamp\www\webs\tester-function.php on line 3 What have I done wrong here? I don't want my users typing in the UNC path so is there a way to get the UNC path for them and maybe that will work when I try to access it? This is possible in Microsoft languages but I am not sure how to get PHP to do this - maybe using a cmd.exe command? Please note, the mapped drive does exist as I can see it and I can access it. It also does not appear to be a permissions problem as I am assuming it would of complained about this IF it could access that drive...right? Thanks all for any help

• Potential issue when using memcache session save handler in PHP

  I have two load balanced web servers, and I'm using the memcache session save handler with the save path pointing to two memcache servers. It's configured with session redundancy set to two (the number of memcache servers). So PHP is writing session data to both memcache servers, and when I take one of the servers down, everything seems to work fine since the session data has been written to both memcache servers. The problem seems to happen when I use the app for a while with only the one memcache server up, and then bring the other one back up. My theory is that the memcache server comes back up, and PHP then starts asking it for session data which isn't there since it was written to the other server while this one was down. Is there any merit to this theory? Should PHP be asking both servers for the session data and maybe there's some other problem?

• Hide header if node body is empty - Drupal php snippet help

  Hello! I've made a content type for links, I'm trying to make a link directory. People only have to submit the link, description is voluntary. If no description is entered, I want the header that says "description" to disappear. The description field is the node body. Right now my snippet looks like this <?php if (!empty($node->body)) {?> <div class="field field-type-link field-field-link-archive"> <h3>Description</h3> <?php print $node->content['body']['#value'] ?></div> <?php }?> I expect this to check if node body is not empty, and if it isn't it'll print what's there. The problem is that the Description header is still printed out even if the node body is empty. Can anyone see what's wrong?

  How does php access a variable passed by JQuery? I have the following code: $.post("getLatLong.php", { latitude: 500000}, function(data){ alert("Data Loaded: " + data); }); but I don't understand how to access this value using php. I've tried $userLat=$_GET["latitude"]; and $userLat=$_GET[latitude]; and then I try to print out the value (to check that it worked) using: echo $userLat; but it does not return anything. I can't figure out how to access what is being passed to it.
