• Can only "agents" build and submit Applications to Apple?

  I'm afraid I know the answer to this but I'll ask on the longshot chance that I'm wrong: I've been doing some freelance work creating an iPhone application for a company. They've created their own developer account and added me as an team member with "admin" rights. That seems to be the highest assignable rights (with the only higher level being "agent" and belonging only to whoever signed up for the account). Yet, I don't have an option under the provisioning portal to create a distribution certificate or profile. Is there any way to create these myself without having to ask my client for their primary login? They're not particulary tech savy so it would be difficult to walk them through the process to create the necessary certificates (and would require me giving them a certificate request from my computer, etc. etc.). But it seems like there should be some way to create a distribution build without "agent" rights, right? Could Apple seriously expect only one person from a company to do all the building and uploading of apps to the store?

• Exporting info from PS script to csv

  Hi, This is a powershell/AD/Exchange question.... I'm running a script against a number of Users to check some of their attributes however I'm having trouble getting this to output to CSV. The script runs well and does exactly what I need it to do, the output on screen is fine, I'm just having trouble getting it to directly export to csv. The input is a comma seperated txt file of usernames (eg "username1,username2,username3") I've experimented with creating custom ps objects, adding to them and then exporting those but its not working.... Any suggestions gratefully received.. • Passing empty list as parameter to JPA query throws error

  If I pass an empty list into a JPA query, I get an error. For example: List<Municipality> municipalities = myDao.findAll(); // returns empty list em.createQuery("SELECT p FROM Profile p JOIN p.municipality m WHERE m IN (:municipalities)") .setParameter("municipalities", municipalities) .getResultList(); Because the list is empty, Hibernate generates this in SQL as "IN ()", which gives me error with Hypersonic database. There is a ticket for this in Hibernate issue tracking but there are not many comments/activity there. I don't know about support in other ORM products or in JPA spec either. I don't like the idea of having to manually check for null objects and empty lists every time. Is there some commonly known approach/extension to this? How do you handle these situations?

• Problem getting Params in injected controller Zend Framework

  I have a layout 'profile' <div> <div> $this->action(action1, controller1, module1)<div> <div> $this->layout()->content </div> <div> $this->action(someotheraction, soController,soModule ); </div And the problem starts when I want to get the $request-Params() from the action1 , controller1 module1 , it is empty. I looked at the code of a helper Action , it does accept as a 4th parameter Params, but then I will have to set it somewhere in the layout - which is not good. Basically what are the recommendations of guru people that are pretty professional with zend Framework. Maybe I should do some work around or should change the concept of how I am injecting additional Controller(module) actions

  Hello, I am planning to implement a basic recommendation system that uses Facebook Connect or similar social networking site API's to connect a users profile, based on tags do an analyze and by using the results, generate item recommendations on my e-commerce site(works similar to Amazon). I do believe I need to divide parts into such: Fetching social networking data via API's.(Indeed user allows this) Analyze these data and generate tokes. By using information tokens, do item recommendations on my e-commerce site. Ie: I am a fan of "The Strokes" band on my Facebook account, system analyze this and recommending me "The Strokes Live" CD. For any part(fetching data, doing recommendation based on tags...), what algorithm and method would you recommend/ is used ? Thanks

• Rails 3.1 assets not recognizing new images uploaded by rmagick until server restart

  I have my Rails 3.1.0 application running with passenger in production environment and I have a section where the application allows the user to change his profile picture so I upload the image using an ajax uploader and in my controller I upload the file and generate different sizes for the image with rmagick then I render the new image with an image_tag but the application won't show the image till I restart the server. What I get is No route matches [GET] "assets/path/to/image.png" If I restart the server It will show the image, but obviously I can't be restarting the server every once a user uploads a new image. How can I solve the keeping the assets working the right way?

• How to get "paster request" to use config host value instead of localhost?

  I'm trying to access my pylons application via cron job to send notifications to my users. The way I'm doing this is by running the application using something like: paster request myconfig.ini /maintenance/do In the actual controller I check for the "paste.command_request" to block public access. Everything works but the only problem is that within the notifications that I send to my users there is a link to their profile and the host is "localhost" which should instead be the domain name of the application. When the notifications are sent from within the served application (say, a user modifies their settings on the site) the notifications have the correct url. I am using mako to render my email tamplates and within the template I am using the "pylons.url" method with "qualified" set to "True". Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance.

  Hey I have an .htaccess file with the following code: <Files ~ "item|profile|category|search"> ForceType application/x-httpd-php </Files> What I want is to add a re-write rule as well which changes any body who navigates tot he site ot use http://www.domain.com sintead of http://domain.com I have the code stored somewhere else for it however I can't seem to just place in the file as it corrupts?   Hi All, I am newbie in Drupal 6. I am looking for customizing User registration form. Apparently found that while adding user using Admin login allows registration form to have fields like email address, username, password,confirm password, etc with validations. But when anonymous use wants to register, then only fields like email address and username are displayed. I tried with Profile module available. But now how could I add some fields (password, confirm password, terms & condition check and receive news letter check box)and behavior (password, confirm password validation etc.)? If I am adding such fields they are also get visible in AdminAdd user form resulting duplicate fields like Password,Confirm password. Could you please suggest me how can I do this? I tried googling but confused me a lot as I am beginner to Drupal.

• Regular expression to validate a Google Analytics UA Number

  It's not 100 percent clear to me that the Google Analytics UA Numbers are always 6 digits, a dash, and 2 digits as Google often mentions in their documentation. There are frequent counter-examples that use fewer than 6 for the account portion and 1-4 for the profile. All of the examples always show numbers but it's not even clear that they can't be letters. Does anyone know if Google has published a regex that exactly matches allowable UA Numbers? I'm adding this feature to the admin console of an application I work on and would like to validate the user input.

  I want to get the content which are displayed by a particular page in WordPress back-end. Say, for [ROOT]/wp-admin/profile.php I want to remove the First Name and Last Name fields from this page. So, I can run a str_replace() to remove the lines.   Does anyone know of a way I can code-profile my Windows Sidebar Gadget? I've played around with the code-profiling tool in IE8's "Developer Tools" and the code-profiling included in Visual Studio 2010, but I can't find a way to include the System.* API, which my gadget relies on (as it is standard in the Sidebar environment). The gadget also relies on cross-domain AJAX requests; which is normally permitted in the Sidebar environment. • Facebook Connect Publish to Stream: how do I tag a user?

  I have an application that allows martial arts trickers to 'battle' each other by initiating challenges and submitting videos and whatnot. When user A challenges user B, the application posts to the user's wall (the one who initiated the challenge). My question is how do I tag user B in the wall post? It essentially says "challenged John Do to a battle". I'd like "John Do" to link to his profile just like when you manually post something on your wall and use the @ symbol. I hope this makes sense. I've tried standard html for a link, and I've tried FBML. Neither are parsed and only render as plain text on the wall post. Thanks for any help!

However, after searching all over net, all that I could find was the "Bluetooth Device Access Guide" from apple, and not a single sample program ! Is any sample code for this available ? I will also explain what I am trying to do in my program, so that if any of you can help me.... I want pair my iPhone with my MAC programmatically over the PAN profile, and then send data (streams) both-ways. I paired them manually, and I was successfully able to transfer data. • Shark tool on iphone crashes

  Hi, I am trying to use Shark to profile my app. However, it crashes after I hit "stop" and it analyzes and then goes to "load session". Only once when I decided not to select my app but chose to target "everything" did it actually display some trace. However, I could not reproduce this case. Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong? Could it be something to do with the wrong version of Shark or my SDK or some other detail? I have the latest SDK and am running 3.1.3 on the phone. The various documentation I've found on google or via Apple's docs don't seem to be terribly helpful, so if anyone has found some that's useful, I'd love to see it. Thanks.

• Best solution for a comment table for multiple content types

  I'm currently designing a comments table for a site I'm building. Users will be able to upload images, link videos and add audio files to the profile. Each of these types of content must be commentable. Now I'm wondering what's the best approach to this. My current options are: 1. to have one big comments table and a link tables for every content type (comments_videos, ...) with comment_id and _id. 2. to have comments separated by the type of content their for. So each type of content would have his own comments table with the comments for that type.

• Is it bad practice to extend the MongoEngine User document?

  I'm integrating MongoDB using MongoEngine. It provides auth and session support that a standard pymongo setup would lack. In regular django auth, it's considered bad practice to extend the User model since there's no guarantee it will be used correctly everywhere. Is this the case with mongoengine.django.auth? If it is considered bad practice, what is the best way to attach a separate user profile? Django has mechanisms for specifying an AUTH_PROFILE_MODULE. Is this supported in MongoEngine as well, or should I be manually doing the lookup?

  Hi, I'm really struggling to make facebook connection working for my system. What I want to do : When the user is not yet registered on facebook : Fetch some user profile fields into my database (ideqally via my registration page already working for non facebook users) Log the user into my website Redirect the user into my homepage What I've done so far : Set up the application in FB Add the Facebook class from the github website and integrate some code to make it working Add additionnal paremeters to login/register facebook link. I'm struggling to redirect the user after authorizing, to my register page (register/?facebook). The "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" field doesn't seem to work properly, I maybe do not fill the right field? My other question is, if my registration page uses a redirection show (index.php redirect to register.php), do the information given by facebook through the $_POST method would be available in the register.php page ? • Problem generating APN SSL certificate after submitting to apple store

  I'm having trouble getting Apple to generate an APN SSL certificate for my app ID. I've submitted the application to the Apple store, and it is pending review. I tested the application using an Ad Hoc app ID "${bundle_id}.adHoc" and everything went fine. I submitted to the Apple store with app ID "${bundle_id}.release". Now I want to generate my production APN SSL certificate for use with my release application ID - but the developer portal doesn't want to. When I upload my certificate request, it sits for about a minute before telling me: "We are not able to generate your Profile at this time. Please try again later or try using the Provisioning Portal" Is it impossible to generate your certificate while the application is under review or something? Should I have generated it prior to submission?

  i am done with my first iphone app (SO helps a lot..thanks). now i want to submit my app to app store for review. i can use itunes connect to submit my app.i have few questions. 1)i dont know how to create a build for release. what i mean is i dont know what profile it requires. there are help videos but they all guide to do development provisioning not for release. 2) where do i specify all app attributes like Genre and so on. 3) i dont have iTunesArtwork but it does not show in my itunes when i create distribute build. is it going to same for release. hope my question is genuine.

• Web Service in c# - "This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace."

  I've created a web service using Visual Studio ( 2005 - I know I'm old school ) and it all compiles fine but when it opens I get warned thus: This web service does not conform to WS-I Basic Profile v1.1. And furthermore: This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace. Which would be fine except my service begins thus: [WebService(Namespace = "http://totally-not-default-uri.com/servicename")] Searching the entire solution folder for "tempuri" returns nothing. I can't find it mentioned in any configuration page acessible from Visual Studio. And yet it's right there in the wsdl:definitions list for the xmlns:tns attribute on the web service descriptor page when I view it through the browser and as targetNamespace in the same tag. I'm viewing it using Visual Studio's "debug" mode with the built in server from that. Seems like something has got cached somewhere but I can't work out what and where- I've tried stopping and restarting the server, cleaning and rebuilding the service and going through the associated text config files with a text editor but no dice. Any idea what is going on?

• Wordpress: Create a customized role / user

  Hi, I’m farely new to Wordpress but are working on putting a page together which has a very simple purpose. I’m creating it for a customer with little or none IT experience so I want to create a user he can use to login and edit his pages – and nothing more. No settings, no comments, no posts, no links, no nothing, just create, delete and edit pages and maybe edit his own profile or at least his E-mail and password. I can see that wordpress has some predefined roles for users but none of them completely does what I want and they either has to little or to many rights. I’ve been looking at the wordpress page http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities but can’t seem to get a clear answer. Is it in any way possible for me to create my own user role (e.g. customer) where I can set the rights I want for him? Thanks Sincerely Mestika
