• Paypal recuring IPN signals

  When creating Paypal recurring payments i don't receive any notifications from IPN that the recurring payments were actually made. I do receive the notifications that recurring profiles are created, that regular payments are made, that profile is canceled and so on. But no notifications when Paypal make the recurring payment. The file that process the ipn notification works fine and i think is bug free.It also send me an email every time he got something from Paypal(with row POST data) so i don't think the problem is here. Does Paypal send these notifications.If i set a daily recurring payment i should get a daily notification that payment was made? From what i read in documentation i should get these signals but.. • JCAPS deployment to multiple external system environments.

  Hope a few people in here are familiar with JCAPS. Coming from pure j2ee world, it is difficult to digest the deployment model that JCPAS offers. While creating deployment profile, we need to map the resources (such as jdbc, webservice connector) to external systems. External systems are predefined with the target server ip, port, db name, credentials etc(in case of jdbc). So the problem is an EAR built for test environment can not be deployed to production environment. In simpler applications we could store database/credentials etc on to property files and hence EAR built for UAT could be deployed to Production with out any change. Is there a similar strategy available for JCAPS by which EARs built against an environment can be promoted to another seamlessly?

• Xcode 3.2 says the version of iPhone OS isn't supported when my iPhone OS is version 3.1.3

  I just went through the whole certificate/keychain/provisioning/appID/profile/DNA test process to get my app running on my iPhone. Turns out my iPhone OS was out of date (3.0.1 I think), so I updated it. Now it says The version of iPhone OS on “Stefanie's phone” does not match any of the versions of iPhone OS supported for development with this copy of Xcode. Please restore the device to a version of the OS listed below. If necessary, the latest version of Xcode is available here. OS Installed on Stefanie's phone 3.1.3 (7E18) Xcode Supported iPhone OS Versions 3.1.2 (7D11) 3.1.1 (7C146) 3.1.1 (7C145) 3.1 (7C144) 3.0.1 (7A400) 3.0 2.2.1 2.2 2.1.1 2.1 2.0.2 (5C1) 2.0.1 (5B108) 2.0 (5A347) But I have Xcode 3.2.1, which is supposed to support iPhone OS 3.1.3. What am I doing wrong? I have a cruddy internet connection (HughesNet), so I can't upgrade the Xcode SDK without it taking literally days.

  Hi, I have moodle1.9 installed on my system and writing some custom reports. I want to retrieve list of students registered for a particular course. I have user profile field usercategoryid through which i figure out for which category he has enrolled. Course belongs to a particular category. Through mdl_user_info_data table i retrieve the category for a particular user. I have written a query to retrieve the users who have registered for a particular category for e.g. Financial Planning 2010. But the issue is that i now want users who have registered for a particular course for e.g. Insurance Planning. There is a relation between course and course category but i am unable to find out the table where course and user information is linked. Please help me on this Thanks

• How to access project files from NUnit tests

  I have some Tests that I run with ReSharpers "Run All Tests from Solution" feature. One of the classes being tested has a dependency on a file in the same folder as the assembly containing it. This file is copied to the output directory via MSBuild (set "Copy To Output Directory" to "Copy always"). Problem: The tests are not being run from the normal assembly output directory, but instead some temporary location in my user profile. Therefore, I don't really know where to look for the file - the test runner does not copy it there. Can I force it to?

• require_owner code to limit controller actions not recognizing current user as owner

  I am trying to restrict access to certain actions using a before_filter which seems easy enough. Somehow the ApplicationController is not recognizing that the current_user is the owner of the user edit action. When I take the filter off the controller correctly routes the current_user to their edit view information. Here is the code.   Hello everybody, Membership/Role/Profile providers API appeared in early days of asp.net Nearly everytime I can't live with standard API & have to add some extra functionality (for sorting, retrieving e.t.c.). I also have to use different database structure often (with foreign key to some tables for example) or think about performance improvements. These considerations forced teams I took part in to build own providers but I can't stand to implement providers API (because we don't use 70% of standard functionality at least). Moreover, providers that were built for exact projects were rarely reused. I wonder if someone found swiss-knife early-days-API providers implementation that is usefull for any kind of project without refactoring... Or do you use your own implementations of early-days-API's Or may be you abandon standard architecture and use lightweight implementations ? Thank you in advance

• Upload images API on 3rd Party host .. Flickr ?

  I am building an Image Sharing feature for my website, where users can upload images and show it off on my website, through their own profile gallery. Except I dont want to physically host the uploaded images. Are there API's that can allow me to descretly save the uploaded images (from the users) to another Host, such as Flickr, Google etc.. I know Flickr has a good API, but could I use it for this? And does the Flickr Upload API only work with authorised users ? becuase I dont want them to upload to their Flickr account, but just host them with 1 big account so to speak thanks.

• Why could Shark be so slow?

  I'm trying to profile Ruby interpreter. I run shark -i ./ruby bm_sudoku.rb or something like that, the script finishes in less than a second, and then Shark goes to "CHUDData - Analyzing samples... 99.3%.." point and stays there frozen for 10 minutes or so. It finishes eventually, it's just so ridiculously slow it's pretty much unusable. Version I have here is OSX 10.5, shark 4.6.1 (227). Any ideas what that might be?

  In a day or two I'll be ready to submit my iPhone app to the AppStore and I'm curious whether people who have gone through this process have any tips / suggestions for a smooth submission process. Here's things I've covered; No memory leaks Tested performance on an actual device Doesn't crash :) Using correct certificates / profile What I'm a little unsure about are how to configure the "Bundle Display Name" /"Bundle Identifier" and "Bundle Name" in info.plist. I understand the first is the text that's shown on the iPhone itself, but what about the last? Does this have to match Bundle Identifier? Are there any other things I should add to the info.plist? I've noticed that when built for Adhoc distribution my app does not have any author/title information in iTunes.

• ASMX Web Service - "This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace." message

  I've created a web service using Visual Studio ( 2005 - I know I'm old school ) and it all compiles fine but when it opens I get warned thus: This web service does not conform to WS-I Basic Profile v1.1. And furthermore: This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace. Which would be fine except my service begins thus: [WebService(Namespace = "http://totally-not-default-uri.com/servicename")] Searching the entire solution folder for "tempuri" returns nothing. I can't find it mentioned in any configuration page acessible from Visual Studio. And yet it's right there in the wsdl:definitions list for the xmlns:tns attribute on the web service descriptor page when I view it through the browser and as targetNamespace in the same tag. I'm viewing it using Visual Studio's "debug" mode with the built in server from that. Seems like something has got cached somewhere but I can't work out what and where- I've tried stopping and restarting the server, cleaning and rebuilding the service and going through the associated text config files with a text editor but no dice. Any idea what is going on?

• asp classic and javascript to check for session status

  Hey all, i am in need of some help with trying to figure out how to go about checking the users session and seeing if they are still logged in or not. The problem being is because i have a static page that pretty much loads everything into "tabs" using jquery. So when they use navigates the page, it really never leaves that same page they started out on. Hints my problem in trying to determine if they are still logged in or not when they click on update their information on their profile or whatnot. Any suggestions/help would be great! :o) David

I made one page for user authentication and using .net wcf service to authenticate user. i am able to send data on .net service by HttpGet method but not able to get response back on java page. I have tested it on fiddler with this url its working fine and returning response code 200, but not getting response code by java code. Following code i am using. • In App Purchase no valid Product IDs

  I'm trying to get In App Purchase with my existing iPad App working. I'm stuck retrieving the Product Information from App Store: - (void)productsRequest:(SKProductsRequest *)request didReceiveResponse:(SKProductsResponse *)response The SKProductsResponse only contains invalid Product IDs. I tried every potential solution I found here or on the net: my App ID has In App enabled I generated a new provisioning profile and installed it on my device I restarted the device my App ID is the same as in my Info.plist (it's in the Store since weeks) I added In App Purchases for the App with "cleared for sale" checked I added Screenshots to my In App Purchases I tried different naming schemes for the Product ID I made triple checked that I pass the correct Product ID to the SKProductsRequest I'm passing a NSSet to the SKProductsRequest instead of a MutableSet I updated my App with the upcoming version containing in App purchase and submitted it for Review I approved one of my In App Purchases, just to see if that helps I waited more than 24 hours All of these actions brought me nothing but invalid Product IDs. I hope someone can point me into the right direction, because I'm running out of ideas.

However I am aware of this opening up for many security risks, i e background: url('javascript:alert("Got your cookies! " + document.cookies'). Hence I am looking for a solution to sanitize the CSS while still allowing as much CSS functionality as possible for my users. • Optimizing an iphone app for 3G in landscape with opengl, camera, quartz

  I have an iphone app that basically uses the camera, an opengl layer, and UIViews (some drawing with Quartz). It runs ok on 3GS, but on the 3G it is unusable. Particularly, when I press a UIButton, it literally takes sometimes 10 seconds to register the press. Shark doesn't do me much good because it crashes when I try to profile even a tiny portion, and I've tried turning off some of the layers to see if they might be obvious contributors to the lag. I've noticed that turning off the camera really helps. I'm wondering if anyone has any familiarity with this and might suggest some likely causes. I had issues with extreme slowdown from running my app in landscape mode and using transforms, so considered that might be a cause, but I'm wondering if hoping for a 3G to run something with all of the above elements is just not really possible considering the camera seems to really cost a lot. The fact that the buttons are horribly delayed in their response makes me think there is something fundamental that I might be missing.

• Django User "per project" group assignation

  Hi, Here's my problem : my site has users, which can create projects, and access other user's projects. Each project can assign different rights to users. So, i could have Project A : user "John" is in group "manager" , and Project "B" user "John" is in group "worker". How could I use the Django User authentication model to do that ? From a SQL point a view, what i would like is to be able to add "project_id" in the primary key for the "auth_user_groups" table. I don't think profile is of any help here. Any advice ? UPDATE : "worker" and "manager" are just two examples of the permission group (or "roles") that my application defines. There will be more in the future. Eg : i will probably also have "admin", "reporting", etc...

• Can I assign a maven dependency to a specific repo?

  So I have several large projects that use up to 8 different external repos, all specified in settings.xml rather than in poms. A lot of our internal dependencies are snapshots, so this obviously causes a lot of checking for updates across several external repos, when they are all in our internal repo. So my question is, is there a way to setup a profile/filter or anything similar where I can ensure that an update will only be checked for in a specific repo(s)? This is all in the spirit of better/quicker builds. Thanks!

• .NET framework 4 total application deployment size

  After watching in horror as the .NET framework 3.5 SP1 bloated to whopping 231 MB I was amazed to see that .NET Framework 4 Full (x86) is only 35 MB and client profile just 29 MB. My question is if .NET Framework 4 is in any way dependent on previous versions of the framework being installed on the client machine or if my users will have to download only 29 (or 35) MB if I develop a Winforms or WPF desktop application in VS 2010 targeting .NET Framework version 4.0? Edit: Wikipedia concurs with the answers: Some developers have expressed concerns about the large size of .NET framework runtime installers for end-users. The size is around 54 MB for .NET 3.0, 197 MB for .NET 3.5, and 250 MB for .NET 3.5 SP1 (while using web installer the typical download for Windows XP is around 50 MB, for Windows Vista - 20 MB). The size issue is partially solved with .NET 4 installer (x86 + x64) being 54 MB and not embedding full runtime installation packages for previous versions.

  On stackoverflow in the users profile area there are many tabs which all display differing information such as questions asked and graphs. Its the same view though and im wondering hows its best to achieve this in rails whilst keeping the controller skinny and logic in the view to a minimum. def index @user = current_user case params[:tab_selected] when "questions" @data = @user.questions when "answers" @sentences = @user.answers else @sentences = @user.questions end respond_to do |format| format.html # index.html.erb nd end but how do i process this in the index view without a load of if and else statments.
