  • Showing a tooltip on a combobox from the itemtemplate (WPF)

    I have a ComboBox with a DataTemplate. The DataTemplate has two controls, each of which has a ToolTip attached to it. The list of items of the ComboBox has the tooltips as expected when you hover over each control. But the selected item area on top of the ComboBox does not display the tooltips, though the controls are rendered as expected. Is there a way to force the tooltips to be displayed?

The problem is the dropdownlist is in edittemplate and the selected value is the id in the same celle when the is dropdownlist when the row is not editing. I am bit confused on how to keep track of selected item(of that collection) and pass that to client. Any ideas? If the solution makes use of the Open Source WPF PropertyGrid (http://www.codeplex.com/wpg) I will implement the changes /additions back into the control.

    Hello, I have a strange "problem". Could someone explain me why : If I have in an ObservableCollection, twice (or more time) an item with the same value, then the selections of those values in the ListBox won't work properly ? In fact, what the ListBox is doing when I click on an item(Even in single item selection) : It selects the first item from the ObservableCollection collection with a matching value. so in the case if multiple items with same value are in the collection, then only the first one will be selected !

    I'm writing an ASP.Net webform with some DropDownList controls on it. Then user changes selected item in one of dropdowns, ASP.Net doesn't seem to handle SelectedIndexChanged event until form is submitted with a 'Submit' button click. How do I make my dropdowns handle SelectedIndexChanged instantly? P.S. It's a classic question I have answered too many times, but it seems no one asked it before on stackoverflow.

  • Time Zones for different users

    I am creating a script that allows the user to choose their own timezone... If I am to make this work, how do I store dates in the database so that every timezone will read it, and show the correct date in their timezone? Do I store the date as GMT and then when a user with the timezone GMT +10 selected views the item within my script, I show that date in GMT +10 time? Is there a better way to do this? Examples would be great :)

  • RowFilter including [ character in search string

    I fill a DataSet and allow the user to enter a search string. Instead of hitting the database again, I set the RowFilter to display the selected data. When the user enters a square bracket ( "[" ) I get an error "Error in Like Operator". I know there is a list of characters that need prefixed with "\" when they are used in a field name, but how do I prevent RowFilter from interpreting "[" as the beginning of a column name?

    Hi, I have a Tableview on AppDelegate That calls a SecondView (dvController) when DidSelectRowAtIndexPath using: [self.window addSubview:[dvController view]]; On SecondView I defined a button linked to IBAction that should go back to previous view. It works great but when row selected but, How could then go back to previous view if main one is AppDelegate? self.window addSubview:[?? view]]; Should be basic concept but I am quite new and unable to get the solution.   • Can't remember the website for downloading common tools after reinstall

    I remember a while back finding a website for downloading lots of common tools in one go after a system reinstall. It had a dark background and checkboxes for selecting the tools (browsers, editors, readers, im clients, etc.). After selecting the tools it downloaded a file which went away, downloaded everything you'd selected and then performed an install on each of the different apps. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

    I have a situation where I need to, when in Radgrid Edit Mode and user makes a selection on a contained dropdownlist, display a modalPopup containing a Checkboxlist populated with data that relates to dropdownlist selection. When Selections are made on the checkboxlist, and OK button clicked, I want to return to the RadGrid Edit template, and populate a textbox in the template with the checkbox selected information.
