  • SharePoint Custom Web Service not working for SSL configuration

    Hi all, I did developed a custom SharePoint Web Service . It is working fine when using http. But when we configure SSL(https) , it is not working and throwing the below error. Request for the permission of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Security.SharePointPermission, Microsoft.SharePoint.Security, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bcee11233hj' failed. Does anyone came accross a similar situation or any ideas on why this is happening? Thanks Carol

    Hi, I created on wcf web service and trying to test with SOAP UI. When testing with soap ui for example creating an employee, if I send soap request xml with <empId>0</empId> works fine. <empId></empId> **throwing exception.** if i completly remove <empId> tag it works fine.... Is there any way to make default value as "0" in wsdl in WCF? Thanks nRk

ASMX services display methods in service ASMX services when running locally could be easily tested with a prebuilt form ASMX services provided a sample request and response XML message http://keithelder.net/blog/archive/2008/01/15/How-to-Get-Around-WCFs-Lack-of-a-Preview-Web.aspx In Glasshfish together with /test/TestApi?wsdl there's /test/TestApi?Tester but it doesn't work, I don't know if it can be used to provide similar features as above?

    I want to check whether the endpoint is defined in the configuration before I'll try to create it System.ServiceModel.ClientBase<T> sourceClient = new System.ServiceModel.ClientBase<T>(EndpointName, new EndpointAddress(discoveryUri)); To check it I need get a configuration but how can I define whether I need to use WebConfigurationManager or ConfigurationManager.     I look for a way to display a route in a fancy way using the Cloudmade service. Currently, I can see computed routes like on this tutorial http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/web-maps-lite/examples/routing, but I look for a fancier way to do it -- without A and B tags, and with colors, etc. Is this possible ?   • Rolling back a transaction in a Grails Service

    I have been updating all my services to be transactional by using Grail's ability to rollback when a RuntimeException is thrown in the service. I have, in most cases, doing this: def domain = new Domain(field: field) if (!domain.save()) { throw new RuntimeException() } Anyways, I wanted to verify that this indeed will rollback the transaction... it got me thinking as to whether at this point it's already been committed.. Also, if not, would setting flush:true change that? I am not very familiar with how Spring/Hibernate does all of this :)

    When you create and use a Web Service proxy class in the ASP.Net framework, the class ultimately inherits from Component, which implements IDisposable. I have never seen one example online where people dispose of a web proxy class, but was wondering if it really needs to be done. When I call only one method, I normally wrap it in a using statement, but if I have a need to call it several times throughout the page, I might end up using the same instance, and just wondered what the ramifications are of not disposing it.

I want to create a project where i want to access the same data repository from a desktop application, website and a cell phone. What would you recommend me?
